This shell is right on a super busy intersection of South Beretania and McCully just before the overpass to enter H1 and have been a pit stop of mine for various reasons. The convenience of a separate area for air and vacuum, free use of squeegee, a convenient store filled with just about everything including an ATM or just to grab some gas because I've neglected to fill before I start my journey. Along with their current early bird promotion of a free 12oz coffee with any fill up of 8 gallons or more from 6am to 8am daily they also partnered with T-Mobile of $0.15 off per gallon considering the price for a regular was at $4.799 (as of Oct 29, 2023) every bit counts. Another guilty convenience that I do love is because they're on the corner I've taken much advantage of using it to pass through the two driveways...hey the traffic gets rough here at times and thankfully I get to reset myself and my ride. And yes, the station is working and nobody is there except us! Since both of us do not have any quarters, we decided to check their available convenient store. Used their ATM to have some cold cash and exchange it to quarters. The woman cashier is pretty friendly so no sweat. So grateful for convenient stores like this. And most of all, to have this gasoline station with available service you can use like air pumps. The prices of gas is about the same compare to other gas stations in Urban Honolulu. Just looking through the tips posted by Chris M. on 4/10/12. It was only few cents more now. I got unleaded gas for $4.58 (10c more on credit card without Kama'aina discount). So, thanks for tracking the prices through time. I didn't interact with employees inside and I didn't have any issues with my transaction. So, I would come back, especially they got cleaner windshield wiper.

Keith seems to be the only guy working here. There's a gal in the convenience store that handles the gas dispensers. She told me that Keith will be right with me. I think Keith took a car around the block for a spin. Then he had to attend to a guy that maybe had a serious problem. When Keith had time, I asked him to check my oil level since the indicator light flashed on. He asked me to move my car closer. I had parked on the other side of the building because the right side was filled with vehicles. Eventually, he got to me, turned on the ignition and saw the indicator light. He popped the hood, whipped out the oil stick and showed me that the level was fine. He said the light could have been triggered by the oil not circulating... or other reasons. Hmmm... Ok... At least I had enough oil! I appreciate his quick diagnosis - especially because I was a walk-in and an unknown...

Located just next door from the McDonald's in the McCully neighborhood, you can find this little gas station that not only serves gas, but they also sell propane. Over the years I have patronized this gas station as they used to sell "racing gas", and now I see that they sell "ethanol free" gasoline. Basically this gas station just does fuel, and they have a small area where they sell a few convenience items by the cashier's booth. No car repairs, or safety checks done at this location, but not to worry gang, as the McCully Union Service also has another service site on Beretania Street where they actually do car repairs & safety checks. Of course at the Beretania location where they do car repairs, they don't dispense any gasoline, that's what the McCully location is for on S. King Street (just next door to the McCully McDonald's).

They also sell some items inside by the cashier. What am I doing at a gas station you may ask? Well it was because I ran over a nail and my tire was leaking air. Fortunately it wasn't the sidewall. I called first to see if they worked on Tesla vehicles because you need special pucks to lift the vehicle. They didn't have the pucks but luckily I have a set. I brought them with me in the event they could fix my tire. When I arrived, I told them they needed the pucks to lift the car to not damage the battery and vehicle. The mechanic just looked at the location of the screw and said he could do it without lifting the vehicle. I was so confused because you have to lift the vehicle to take off the rim. Turns out he was able to quickly do it on the ground. They don't patch the tire but plug it here so it all made sense when I saw what they did. The entire process was completed in minutes! They were quick and I was out of there in no time. Personally, a patch or plug doesn't matter too much because it fixes the problem of air leaking out of the tire but patching does take time. It takes at about an hour at shops that offer patching because the rim comes off the vehicle and the tire is removed from the rim (could be longer than an hour if they are busy). I'm not sure which is better long term though as I'm not a tire expert. Since I had my tire patched not too long ago, I found plugging was a tad more pricey. Is it worth it? I think so due to the time it took to do it and the fact they didn't have to take off the rim nor jack up the vehicle. No risk in damaging the rim, vehicle or battery. Good option for a quick plug if you encounter a nail/screw in your tire!

The ladies were sassy or grouchy. The convenience store was limited in variety offer merchandise, because it's more like a guard shack and has little to offer. I especially didn't like why it would get so crowded and noisy...the customer service would get even worse because of the regular clientele who would "chitter chatter" needlessly. I wouldn't buy anything here while it is open during store hours. The drive up window is better. I just make them walk back-n-forth to get my merchandise. LMAO!!

Been noticing many Texaco with a wonderful affordable drive in car wash though this crazy location on busy Piikoi and South King Street doesn't have it for the location they do have pretty much everything that many gas station doesn't offer. Gas and mini mart yes they do have and a great mini mart with so much varieties it's the gas station with air and vacuum which when needed is very hard to find but the winner for me is the squeegee they have it here! Yup I'm able to touch up my windows or yuck that happens on my car along with unloading some trash it's a great spot to get some much needed treat for my car that takes me on the adventures is worth the stop here for items that I don't normally find at other places.
