My car was really dirty! I could see paw prints on the back of my car from our neighborhood cats lol. My sister and I went out today and I said I need to check Yelp for a nearby car wash. Lo and behold, this Texaco car wash place popped up. I read a few reviews and I decided to try it out. There was about four cars ahead of me. The reviews warned us about the wait time. There is wait that depends on the type of car wash package you select. I estimated @10-15 minutes per car. I didn't know where to pay and I asked my sister to run into the convenience store to check if I needed to pay first. You can pay inside and you will receive a receipt with a code that you enter into a machine that is located near the entrance of the car wash. Or you can pay at the machine as well. Your choice. Pay attention to the instructions and lighted signs! It will guide you into the automatic car wash with ease. It's pretty loud inside so be prepared! Pricing is really great at $10 for the basic- Deluxe Wash, $14 for the premium wash, $17 for the ultimate wash, and $20 for Ceramic shine. See photo for more information. It's an automatic car wash , so be prepared to wipe down your car with a towel after you exit and find a place to park. The dryer doesn't get every spot. If you want air for your tires, vacuum, or water, it will cost you. Bring your coins. Appeared that some features are broken. Overall, a good experience for my old and now cleaned up car! read more

I said I wasn't going back but I have been back. Sometimes you just want to wait one hour because 6 cars are ahead of you. Sometimes there's a guy that knows you want to use the car wash but he goes really fast, parks his car right outside the wash, takes his sweet time to walk and talk to the people in the booth. Then he slowly walks to the car, waits for I dunno - a few minutes. Then slowly goes in. When his wash is finished, he waits until the entire car was turns off then he slowly moves out. All of this before 6am in the morning. Good morning to all! But then it's my turn. I pay $20, get the ceramic coating etc... etc... and in the end, they fix the problem with the car ripping off my back wiper. They fixed it! Because it didn't wash half of the back of my car. If youre willing to wait in the long line for the car wash I say its pretty worth it for the price! Less than $15 for the most basic car wash that includes some great products. Each wash takes between 8-10 minutes. Go at your own pace too which is nice, lots if people hog the exterior dryers at the end. Sometimes it's just the convenience... In town many of the car washes do close at 5pm, I even wen to a location that stated it closes at 8pm only for them to just stare at me as I drove in feeling like it's not happening. This Kalihi location is the closest that without driving cross town to a location that I prefer but the traffic and use of gas doesn't make it a reasonable decision to only spend $$$ and here it does seem like it's 24hrs which I haven't personally confirmed though with many complaints for very valid reasons is the deal to get it done versus doing it myself at home. The line and wait time yes can be ridiculously long though this one versus the PC one if you don't know is much easier as if you don't can cause some issues. With that it does offer the budget friendly wash starting at $10 for the basic "Deluxe Wash", $14 for "Premium Wash", $17 for Ultimate Wash or the $20 for the "Ceramic Shine" it's clearly posted with details for each wash and just be mindful to follow the signs to make sure your car is in the right placement. With that it's not a drive thru so each car is placed in the area to be washed so if many are doing the Ceramic Shine or Ultimate Wash it does take a moment longer and I did time it to about 15 minutes so calculate each car as it might take time for you to get it done. I did do the $20 as it's been sadly neglected and yes it does get it dry but that was probably the worse part of it all so if you do this bring a towel if you need a bit of touch up or I just jumped on the freeway and got majority of it off lol! For the value it's a great service that I'm grateful to have in a location not far from town and if I do need a bit of wash knowing that I can come here is nice. Thank you! read more

I have been coming to this gas station for 6 years mainly because of their car wash facility. I usually pick the $14 car wash option because I feel it provides well balance cleaning. The car wash line can be long at time, if you see the line backs up to the sidewalk, that will be about 7 cars, be ready to wait 45 minutes! Overall, I give the car wash a 7.5 out of 10, it generally clean my 4Runner pretty good except for the tires. After they blow dry the car, you still need to wipe it dry because the blower does not remove all the water. Lucky they provide paper towel 90% of the time. They also have an air pump and vacuum but you have to pay to use it. The staffs are friendly and helpful. If you put more than $50 of gas, you a get a free 1.5 liter bottle water or a hotdog as a bonus. Form time to time, they will close down the car wash for maintenance or it broke down, therefore, sometimes when I drive to the station to get a car wash but find out the car wash is closed, it wasted my time. read more

The employees at this location are always so rude to customers and today I had it - hence this review. Today when checking out, the 2 women inside eyed out every person standing at the checkout, as they wanted to leave behind the counter that swings in/out and there's not enough space with customers in line; sighing and rolling their eyes. An older customer asked for change to break a large bill and the cashier sighed and glared at the older customer, as the customer then apologized for taking up time - feeling the tension. More than once I've also been in line for the car wash and the employees come knocking on your window to sell you a code for cash, versus using the machine when you get the front. Seems sort of scammy so I've always declined. Everyone needs gas, so reviews don't do much, but customer service goes a long way. If you don't like your job, get a new one, instead of being rude to everyone utilizing your services. read more

I decided to come here after picking up my car. I decided to stay here instead of moving back to San Diego California. Just too much drama. Anyway, my car was literally almost empty on gas and this was the closest gas station with a car wash. My car needed a cleaning because it had bird sh*t all over the back of my car lol. I literally got $40 worth of gas and a $10 car wash. That was $59 total. The gas station was a perfect location. The lady inside was nice. You must pay before pumping gas which I dislike because I didn't know how much my car needed for gas. This location is definitely convenient for gas and a fast car wash. Did you know that a popular superstition is having a bird poop on you is a sign of Good Luck or means good things are coming your way? Well, growing up in a Chinese family, I learned this superstition but have never believed it as to me, it's more of an annoyance and embarrassment. It never seems to fail that soon after I drive my car off from either a car wash or detail job with its gleaming finish that I'll get "carpet-bombed" by birds. Thank goodness that Hawai'i doesn't have seagulls, otherwise, I'd be even more upset. But, I have a theory about why birds make messes on cars. It is my belief that birds see their reflections in the shine of the surface and must think they're flying over water to escape from being captured or while looking for food to eat. Whether my theory is true or not, I even make sure that I don't park under trees or telephone wires or near edges of buildings as I believe that birds WILL let loose anytime they launch themselves into the air. I've questioned whether or not they're attracted to certain colors or are birds even color blind? Hmm. Tsk, I guess that I have too much time on my hands to be pondering this issue. Anyway, shortly after picking up our car from our detailer, we were on the way to Costco Iwilei to pick up some groceries. When we exited our car in the Costco parking lot, we noticed a huge white blob on our moon roof and another running down our rear window. Alas, we didn't have anything on us to clean of the nitrogenous waste product off but were thankful that the bird poop didn't land on our car finish where it would damage its paint. We quickly ran in totake care of our marketing and drove to this Texaco station with its recently upgraded car wash. We stopped at the cashier to purchase a Deluxe car wash for only $10 since we didn't need the additional surface protectant or drying agent. However, my husband opted for the Premium $12 wash which advertised a purified water rinse and a touch less blow dry. After paying and getting a ticket with the access code, we drove up and waited in line. I got to see the full menu of washes which were very reasonably priced. The current car wash menu features 4 choices as follows. - Deluxe Wash $10 - Premium Wash $12 - Ultimate Wash $17 - Ceramic Shine $19 The wait time was slightly longer than 15 minutes as there were several vehicles ahead of us but we were able to sit in our car while being shaded by the nearby trees. Our wash took about 5 minutes and we emerged spiffy clean with no signs of that bird poop. We drove home without further incident and are happy to leave our car in our enclosed garage where it'll be secure and not bothered by any critters. CONCLUSION: Texaco's fast and very inexpensive car wash made our day by getting rid of the unwanted bird poop from our car. We did bring out our chamois cloth to dry some of the excess water that was left by the wash but we felt that we got lucky by finding this car wash. read more

It's 3am and you are up. What do you do? Go to the carwash! This is a 24/7 carwash and it is pretty popular. Sometimes cars are lined up all the way to the street! But seriously, when you have little time to wash your car and you happen to be awake in the middle of the night, go get your car washed here! You can get some gas (prices seem to be a little bit higher here) and there's an option to get a carwash with your gas. The code is good for a month if you decide to get the carwash done later. But you don't have to get gas to get a carwash. You can purchase at the entry. There are four carwash options: There's a basic carwash of a regular foam bath, drying agent, and blow dry; a saniclean foam bath (in case you wanna eat off your car, jk), surface protectant, drying agent, purified water rinse (because unpurified can leave water spots), and blow dry; everything from the second option but with a rocker presoak, undercarriage blast, and a tri-color conditioner (your car will feel soft); or a fourth option that has everything in the third option but a ceramic surface protectant is used instead of a standard one (useful for a nice shine to the car). My car is pretty buss up because it's usually at the beach, so I just do the third option. If there's a line of cars, expect to be there for at least an hour. But if you are car number one, you are out in 15-20 minutes. Sometimes less if you go through the blow dry super fast! There's also a vacuum to use with some trash cans to help with cleaning the interior of the car. Sorry, there isn't any protectant wipes for the interior, you'll have to bring your own. Not sure if the little mart has some for sale. And if you want to check basics on the car, there is air and water. Anyway, this place is awesome that they are open 24/7. Take my advice and go when you have insomnia. You'll be happy you got a clean car. read more

Beware of Car Wash.. Of course the wait time for the car wash is forever if there is a lot of people. I waited over an hour and when it got to my turn.. Went into the wash. It did 1 rinse.. Soap.. 1 rinse and then it COMPLETELY STOPPED... My wash was not complete at all!! I waited inside the car wash for about 10-20 minutes trying to call the attendant but their phone line was not in service, wasn't up to date or when I did find a # that went through no one answered... Anyway It wasn't going to start up again so I got out and that was it.. I was pissed. I went inside and told the lady my wash wasn't even finish and that there was still soap on my car!!! I go here only because it's the nearest car wash around. I've been here multiple times. Today was the 2nd time the car wash went out of service while I was in line. Both times I prepaid. The first time I paid with card and the lady informed me that I can use the receipt the next time I come back so I said ok. Maybe it was difficult to give a refund with card, I understand. This time I paid in cash and she still refused to give me a refund. Do not come here. Texaco is great on gas prices and on car washes my favorite is Kapolei next to Wendy's but I also visit the Kalihi one on Waikamilo Street and the other one on North King St in Kalihi. My favorite to buy is the pizza inside Kapolei Texaco also cornuts sunflower seeds and those ice cream sandwiches there famous for Uncle's so worth every penny. The service is great all over the island of Oahu sometimes I just like going here to gas up no lines like Costco. I enjoy all the Texaco's I'm always purchasing gift cards for gas for my family members and friends too. FPO showed me this gas station back when we were working in the area (it was Chevron back in the bad old days). I still try to fill up here when I can. It used to be consistently cheaper than I'd found in other areas of the island. I guess being Texaco meant changes and the prices did go up but they're still pretty competitive. I know that's not saying much considering Hawaii has the most expensive gas in country but every little bit helps. They also have a car washer at this location - it's pricey but always packed for some reason. There's the usual water/air station which was free the last time I looked and the vacuum which was not. Their mini mart is convenient. Many a time a hot dog or Cup a Noodle from there made the difference between "yes dear, I ate lunch" and hangry in afternoon traffic.
