I really hate writing bad reviews :/ and I've been sitting on this for at least a week now and I just keep finding more issues to be upset with so I have to say something Paid $450 for a full detail to find that my seats were not even taken off to vacuum under the seats, sand still in the back under my mats, waxed on but forgot to wax off inside on my screen and in front of the steering wheel so it was all foggy, all water spots were still on every window, including front windshield, and only the outside of the tires were cleaned and inside muddy. I'm really bummed because a detail especially for $450 should do exactly what it's called "detailed". But my seats were shampooed, car was vacuumed and wiped down. They missed a lot of little stuff that was obvious like some wax dried on the middle console I could easily scratch off with my finger. The bed didnt look like it was touched besides pressure washed. From a perspective of cleaning the car, good job! But a detail, for $450 it wasn't a detail. I feel like I'd pay $150 for the job to be completely honest. But they were nice! I'm sorry I had to share my experience but I really just couldn't hold it in any longer, the job was good for $150. Not at all worth $450. Sorry :-( read more

My husband brings his car here about every 2 weeks. He found it by accident walking home from the gym one day. They are really loyal to him and let him walk in and get his car done quick. They are very knowledgeable about cars and made sure to point out that his paint was oxidizing from the rain. They suggested taking care of it and they gave him a really good deal. They always do an excellent job and his car always comes out super shiny from the wax. The prices are reasonable for a full car detail. Of course you are paying for the services that you get. The staff is very nice and friendly. The actual location is in marks garage off of nuuanu st. Note that many streets are one way, so you may have to go around the block a couple of times if you miss the turn. Also call ahead to make an appointment because they do get really busy! read more

When I picked up my car, I was stoked at first... Asked for a detail job and on the outside, the car looked great so my husband immediately gave the main cleaning guy a $20 tip and we were very thankful and excited. As we looked around and started putting our things back in the vehicle, the cleaning guy let us know they opened the hood of my car and "detailed" there? I have no idea why they would be shooting or spraying anything under there when any number of issues could arise from doing so. I definitely did not give permission for them to go under the hood; did not even think that was something they would consider doing at all. They acted like they did me a favor by doing this but what resulted was my car not working. When I got in the car to leave the lot, everything mechanical suddenly no longer worked: blinkers, hazards, windows, lock function, you name it. I had plans to take my car to run some much needed errands upon pickup but had to go straight home to avoid getting into any accidents or getting a ticket. Another strange thing was that, prior to scheduling this detailing, I had asked Bo if they have shuttle service so he asked me "to where?" When I told him we would just be going right down the road, he said "we can help you with that." However, when we arrived at their detail shop, this was suddenly forgotten. He did end up giving us a ride to our nearby destination but we did not get a pick up. I had called him from my phone so I figured he would call me back when the car was done but he did not. I was kind of waiting for his call but after long enough, figured I would not be getting a call back and called him instead. Bo was gone for the day so we had to take a taxi there- another $20. When we arrived at my car, the car was running and the doors were wide open with ac blasting. A man who introduced himself as Bo's brother was just waiting there with the main cleaning guy. We thought this was strange because over the phone, Bo had told us we was at his brother's wedding vow renewal (why wouldn't the brother be there?) Upon discovering all the problems caused to my car, Bo's brother told us he has a BMW, which has compatible parts with our car and that it could be a missing or bad fuse. He indicated where the fuse box was because I had only ever taken my vehicle to the dealership. Strange because this sudden electrical problem we were then experiencing could have stemmed from an issue he pointed out to us, while waiting practically alone for us to arrive. He said he was sure his brother would pay for repairs because it was his responsibility. We called Bo to explain all the new issues that popped up when coming back for our car, he asked us to go to his friend's shop, which of course I did not feel comfortable with so I let him know I would be going to my dealership first thing, as I could not drive my car until it was repaired. He said, no problem let me know how much and I will take care of the cost to repair whatever went wrong during the detail. A load off my mind. When we talked to Bo later, however he was singing a different tune, saying that "well, do you have proof that what happened was 'a direct result of something happening while we worked on your car?'" He was upset we paid with a radio coupon and told him we would like a full service detail but did not mention how we would be paying (he didn't ask for that info either.) I explained to him that we could have the garage camera footage reviewed and interview the attendant, because our windows were down to talk to the woman, the blinkers worked as we approached the lot, and we locked the doors as we handed over the key to Bo's main guy. However, upon pickup the windows would not roll down, the doors would not lock and the blinkers and hazards did not work. This was over a month ago now and I am still trying to get my car back to where it was functioning prior to the detailing I got at Bo's. Long story short, I would not go here again. Highly recommend that you steer clear too. Not worth the potential under the hood trouble that could arise, and that is much more costly than a car detail. read more

Second time trying Bo's. First time was an average job, nothing to brag about, this was a few years ago. This past week I really needed to get me truck cleaned and had no luck booking other locations on short notice so decided to give 'em another shot. I went with the wash, vac, dress so the inside could be cleaned as well. Upon pick up, the truck looked good. I didn't do a walk around or check the inside, assuming it was all good. Paid the $60, plus $10 tip for a fairly basic wash and interior cleaning. After leaving and taking a closer look, I could easily tell the interior was vacuumed, but no door panels, dash, etc. had been wiped down. All still dusty. Also had some big glob of "wax" substance on the passenger door panel, after clearly saying NO WAX OR WHEEL SHINE. Basically came home and had to finish cleaning the interior and missed spots around the emblems. Overall, Bo is really nice (reason for two stars), but cost is a bit high and quality could be better. read more

Came with recommendation from Island Premier Detail. They had an opening on short notice and were able to do a wash and wax on my car in just over an hour and it came it great! I was selling my car and wanted to get it in good condition for the buyer and it came out outstanding! Trim was blackened, tires were shined, and the inside was even wiped down. Pulled up, no appointment needed but I did call ahead just in case. My friend got her van done for $150, full detail clean inside and out and she has several kids and dogs. She said they charged less for a car and when I called, they confirmed that. I showed up and the guy said it'd be $150 for a basic "wipe down" clean and that under the hood and the leather seats would be extra! He then said he'd only charge me $25 for the seats and would do a basic clean under the hood like he was doing me a favor. I was pretty annoyed but didn't have any options since I needed to ship my car. After tax, total cost was $185 and I did not tip because about 70% of the car was VERY clean but about 30% wasn't at all (see pics) and it was extremely overpriced for what I got. They do a decent job but definitely focus on the spots most people see instantly and don't care about the ones usually unseen like between the seat and console and trunk. The reason they're getting two stars is because their pricing is not the same for everyone, it's twice the price charged for the quality, and the layered yhe wheels up with this greasy stuff that dust and everything already caked to just on my ride home. For this quality, I'd expect to pay about $80. Not coming back. I suggest Mckinney's. It's where I went last time and they were awesome for the price! read more

They fail at detailing. Why they call themselves at detail shop when all the do wash and dry your car is baffling.

Good if you want a quick wash for a regular car, but not good if you have a high end car. These guys slathered on a bunch of greasy silicone dressing all over the interior of my Porsche which was very difficult to remove because it sinks into the pores of the leather. read more

Since moving to Hawaii and realizing the lack of self service car washes my search for a quality and reasonable car wash. I've tried Cosmo Yajima for a while and it was OK but my search continued. Any car wash that uses the drive through car washes will leave swirl marks. Bo's is close to where I live so I figured I would give them a shot, they hand wash all cars and use a power washer to get all the funk off. The staff has always been very friendly to me, and the owner Bo is also very friendly and personable. They never tried to up sell me on anything and my car is always very clean when I pick it up. I came out here to visit my daughter. I called around to several shops but they were all booked. I called BO's and was able to bring you car in an hour later. The staff was courteous and friendly. The carpets of my car were pretty bad. After the detailng they looked great. The rest of my car still dirty. It's like they just wiped it down with a rag in the major areas. That's not a detail. For 300 I don't want to touch my dash and have black dirt on my finger. They Of course said that I could bring it back but why would I want to do that when they didn't do a good job the first time and waste another half of my day missing work. I asked for some of my money back considering that they did a mini detail and not a full detail and they told me to shove it. For $300 I could have spend an hour and done just as good of a job on everything but the carpet. In the future that's probably what I will do for $300. They said they spent 5 hours on it I dropped the car off close to 12 and picked it up at 4:30. Two of those hours they didn't touch the car it was drying. So basically I paid them $150 an hour to detail my car. I've never been more unsatisfied in my life and I will never be going back here consumer beware lackluster job for lots of money. If you go here be prepared to be unsatisfied because the type of work you will get here is below average. read more

I made a last min call, decided to get my car detailed out of the blue. Was awesome, they set me up for an appointment that day. They really worked with my schedule, I'm normally hesitant of who details my car. But the location and reviews were good, I didn't realize their service was great thou. I set it up in the afternoon, the appointment would take a few hours. In which, it was perfect the gym is in the area, and a lot of places to eat as well. Everything ran smoothly, they called me when my car was ready, they didn't rush me either. Can back 15-20 min after the call, to see my car ready to head home. Did my inspections and was very pleased with the price and work that was done. I normally keep my car cleaned on the daily. But the areas I know that's hard to reach or hard to clean they got those areas. Highly recommend them if you need your car detailed or in the Chinatown area looking to buy some time. read more

DONOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!!! If I could give zero stars I would! The Tita manager yelled at me as soon as I pulled into the driveway to get my car cleaned. "You can't pak hea!" As was about to explain I was here to get my car washed, she yelled again, "You can't pak hea pull on da side!" I went to the gym and picked up my car an hour later. They charged me $65!!!! $65!!!! They didn't vacuum my seats at all and chunks of wax were left on the doors. If you want your car cleaned right take my advice and go to Street Shine on kapiolani. I tried first once and was very good in service and I give a big tips. However, I found out I lost two bags of carpet cleaning solutions and cleaning materials the day I purchased from Walmart in my car. I did not bother to ask for them and treat them as additional tips to them. I cannot sure when I loss them and cannot assume I lost in their place. Thus, let the stuff be a blessings to someone I did not know. Well, today, I need to details a minivan and the compact car again. I came in for a full detail with shampoo and stain extraction on my upholstery. This had a price tag of $350. Upon my first inspection at the shop it looked like a pretty solid job, but when I brought it home and looked at it a bit closer I noticed a few things that were neglected. While my upholstery looks amazing and is the cleanest it's been since I bought the car, there are a few things that were totally missed... things like door jams/hinges, seat slider rails and all of the cracks by my e brake and cup holder area looked untouched. I should not have to go back with a paper towel and tooth picks and get the spots they missed for that price. While I admit my carpet flooring in the car had some deep sand/dirt, the floors under my seats looked like they only did a once over with a vacuum. The exterior looked pretty nice but they could have done a better job with the cracks and wheel wells. The overall wax job looks pretty good though. I probably would have given 2 stars if it wasn't for the great job they did on my upholstery. Overall, for the price tag my car should have been close to spotless, and it was far from that. read more

If it's your first time going there, to avoid misunderstanding, be sure to park on Chaplain Lane, just a little past Mark's Garage entrance, so that you don't stop in front of the parking garage entrance and block the cars trying to go in. Pulling off to the right side of Chaplain would be best so the manager can inspect your car and see what work needs to be done. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PCS CAR DETAILING PLACE I was in a tight pinch with time getting my car shipped out, I needed it cleaned and ready to go by 10AM to ship at 11. I called the day before at almost closing time and explained my situation, I can't remember who helped me on the phone but they were really nice and helpful. Anyways they book me for 0730, 30 minutes before they open just to be sure my car makes it out in time. Now day of, it's a little tricky to find but not impossible, upon arrival we discussed exactly what it was we wanted they said okay we will call you when it's ready. We went and had breakfast, they called around 0930 for pickup. The outside looked brand new!! Which is amazing to me because we wash our vehicle Maybe 3 times a year usually. They somehow got the bucket of sand out of the trunk. They do not go into your glove box or console so I recommend cleaning it out and then authorizing them to do it or they can do it while you're present. They missed a few couple details and were quick to fix once pointed out. They made sure we were 100% happy before leaving their lot. My car passed the inspection with absolutely zero issues. They quoted me a fair price before they began their work after a brief inspection. They not only gave me a courtesy wash, but because they knew I was shipping my car they took the extra initiative to clean my engine. These guys are the hardest workers in Chinatown and they are like ohana every time I take my car in. It is so refreshing and rare when you feel like you get MORE than what you paid for. I recently bought a used car after getting rid of my previous one. Naturally, it needed some TLC. The inside (seats and carpet) was extremely dirty and needed to be conditioned. After a quick inspection they told me that some of the stains would only lift with the hot water extraction option which is an additional $50. The outside wasn't in as rough a condition but I still opted for the full exterior detail. This option was supposedly supposed to remove the oxidized spots as well as clean the foggy plastic headlights. The total came to $340. Their website claims that you don't need to make an appointment, however I would suggest making one if you want a guarantee that you will have a spot. I dropped my car off around 9am and they said it would take half the day. Around 3pm I get a call asking if my front windshield was cloudy when I brought it in. As you can imagine I was quite confused and worried as to what she was referring to. Without an explanation she hung up, worried I called back asking for an explanation. She very briefly explained that it looked like there was some kind of film on the windshield, but that they would remove it. About a hour or so later I still hadn't heard back from them and keep in mind they close at 4pm, so by this time they had been closed for 30 minutes. When I called they said that my car was actually done, which made me question if I would have even gotten a call. So, even if they tell you they'll call you when they're finished, it's best to check periodically. When I got there they escorted me to my car to look it over. The inside was very clean, however the $50 extra I paid to get the deep stains out seemed to be a waste. When I called attention to the certain spots that were still there, they said they could not lift them. However, my father was able to lift them with products we had in our own garage. The outside was nice, but the oxidized spots were still there (which I paid another $25 to be removed). Once again, they claimed that those spots were not removable, and once again my father got most of them off when he put some elbow grease into it. Another thing was the polish was not fully buffed in, leaving a residue that can damage the car if left as is. Overall, was my car cleaner? Yes. However, it was NOT WORTH $340! read more
