I was recommended to Auto Perfection for ceramic coating since they're well known for it. I took my new BMW to their shop, which was very clean, and Evan was super sweet and welcoming. He took the time to show me around and was very thorough and knowledgeable about ceramic coating, which they've been doing for many years. He also mentioned that they offer tinting, done by someone with 15+ years of experience, and there's a discount if you do both. I decided to go all in and get both services. Evan happened to have an opening in just a few days due to a reschedule, so I booked right away. The ceramic coating turned out amazing--I absolutely love how my car feels, and I would recommend it to anyone. The tinting, however, left me with some questions. After a week of not opening my windows, I noticed small dust bubbles and even a fold. I sent photos to Evan, and he was quick to reply and had me come back the next day. He explained that BMW windows are trickier to tint and said that even if they redid it, tiny bubbles could still appear. I found that a little odd since the tinting is sublet to someone with so many years of experience--I would have expected them to be able to minimize that. It also made me wonder if the tinting was actually done in their clean shop or somewhere else with less control over dust, which could explain the bubbles. Evan helped me reschedule to get the tinting fixed. He planned to take me in last week but had to reschedule, and I went back today. Evan even helped put blue tape around the front part of the car to show all the dust bubbles, which were numerous. I dropped my car off and they had it for about six hours. Evan let me know that the tinter was able to redo the passenger and driver side windows. The tinter also mentioned that I was a picky customer--though I'm not in the tinting industry, so I can't really judge that--so they didn't touch the front windshield, which left me a little disappointed. Overall, I was not upset with Evan, and I think he did a great job in the areas where Auto Perfection excels. I 100% recommend them for ceramic coating--it's excellent and worth it. But for tinting, I'm a little hesitant based on my experience, and since that part is subleased, it's probably best to go to a dedicated tinting shop. Lesson learned. read more

The staff does great work when you can get it scheduled. I had a car on order and made an appointment to get it wrapped via their website. Unfortunately, they don't seem to check their online booking system because I didn't have an appointment; they were all on vacation. You have to call to get an appointment and the lead time to get one is long. I had to drive my new car for five weeks before they could take my car. Having said that, they do excellent work and my car looks great. It took little more than a week to apply the Kavaca and then apply the ceramic coating. What was painful was having to keep it clean and dry for two weeks afterward (as recommended in the material received from them). Living in Kaneohe made that especially challenging. If they would improve their responsiveness, especially their online system, I would give them an unconditional endorsement. As of now, I like what they've done but they need to check all of their channels: phone, web and mobile. I texted them asking about the Americana Global sprays that they recommend but no one responded. I ended up finding a company on the mainland and ordered the recommended sprays. Everyone is talking about getting Paint Protection Film (PPF), vinyl wraps or ceramic coating on their vehicles these days. When I picked up my new car, several friends highly recommended I do this to my vehicle. At this point in my life, a car is a car and all I care about is getting from point A to point B. Don't get me wrong, getting there in a nicer and reliable car is always appreciated but not most important to me. My last few cars I didn't even take to get washed for years. Only when I took it down to the dealership for service or when it rained hard, it was "washed". I don't even keep cars long enough for it to matter but I shopped around since everyone said I would regret not doing it. I called 3 shops and I decided to go with Auto Perfection. It was mainly because of the customer service I received from Evan (manager of Auto Perfection). He called me back the same day I left a message and took the time to explain to me the options available to me. Not only that, he went over the process with me on the option I was interested in. They not only offer PPF, vinyl wraps and ceramic coating but they offer hand washes and detailing. Evan's customer service was miles better than the other shops I inquired with. He was patient with all my questions and concerns which was above and beyond. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. Since I don't wash my car and will probably be in another car in a couple years or so, I opted for their Silver Exterior. It comes with a 5 year warranty and it's transferable to the new owner. The service they provide will also be on Carfax so if you plan to sell your vehicle later, it can be added value to your vehicle. They also do interior protection which is great for those who love their cars or have kids. For the Silver Exterior, you go back once a year to keep up that shine and to keep your car looking brand new. These guys do a solid job detailing new, expensive cars. But don't bring your old car here expecting it to look brand new. This place doesn't perform miracles, understandably. We turned in two cars, one new, one old. The new one came out looking better than what the dealership handed us. However, the older car came back looking good but not great. A number of the things I'd outlined weren't addressed. At the end of the day, I was totally torn up having paid $800+ hard earned dollars for a job I could've done myself, had I the time and equipment. But I don't. So ergo. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was told to bring the car back in. This time, there was sand on the seats and the floor. I was told they would need more time because shampooing the seats required a lengthier drying time. I picked up the car the following day and to my absolute disappointment, the sand was still on the seats and the floor. How you claim to shampoo the seats without vacuuming first is beyond me. I was floored. Couldn't believe it. So yeah, I'm totally disappointed. And I lost faith in Evan and his team. TL;DR: good for new cars, not recommended for classics. read more

I've been trying to obtain a quote to apply Kavaca's PPF to my new car for the past few weeks. I've gone down to Auto Perfection LLC on Feb 3, 2024 so they could visual inspect the car to provide an accurate quote. The car was inspected by Evan who said he would provide a quote by Monday, Feb 5; no quote received. Because no quote was received, I called Evan on Feb 13 at 16:39, he apologized and said he would have the quote to me by the next day (Feb 14); no quote received. Call Evan back on February 20, 2024 asking about the quote, he apologized and said he would have the quote to me later that day or the next day at the very latest (2/21); still no quote received. I really wanted to apply Kavaca's PPF to my new car, but I guess I'll need to look for another PPF product. read more

Prior to getting a ceramic pro paint protection package from Auto Protection, I would feel fancy getting a wax at the gas station car wash instead of my bi-yearly wash by hand. But this being my first car and always parking in the sun at home and now next to a sprinkler at work, I decided 5 years later that I wanted to take better care of my investment. I decided to go with the lifetime warranty package which includes 4 layers of ceramic pro 9H, 1 layer of ceramic pro light and 1 layer of ceramic coating for the plastic trims and wheels as well. There is a upfront cost at first, then there's a yearly maintenance fee thereafter. If you ever decide to get your car ceramic coated, it is worth every single penny. It provides protection against contaminants and minor scratches. All in all it makes your vehicle so much easier to clean. To makes things even better, just water is recommended (it's that easy) and the occasional simple soap and water every so often. When I first purchased my car, I decided to get it ceramic coated, the process took 4 days, so be prepared to be carless and have a plan mapped out. These guys took my car for a Joyride. I dropped it off Friday and they called me towards the end of the day saying they didn't get it done and would finish it Saturday. They called me 20 mins before they closed on Saturday and said it was ready. I have a high performance car so when I started my car in their shop just thought it was extra loud due to the shop not being that big. It was still loud as I pulled out and the entire way home. Knew something was wrong and started looking at other stuff and saw the mileage was higher, less gas, the brights were on and the AC was different then what I keep it at. Got home and looked under the car at the exhaust and saw a pipe came disconnected and the clamp gone. Only time that happened before was when I was racing it and it wasn't that way before I dropped it off so they obviously were racing it on the highway. Called and talked to the manager and explained everything. He asked if he could call me back in a bit and I said sure. That was it. My 2009 Toyota Corolla was in need of saving. I've never once had my car detailed and it was really showing; water spots and deep oxidation was beginning to show. Luckily, we found Auto Perfection on yelp and decided to give them a call for a quote/assessment. We set an appointment with Evan to bring our Car down to have it looked over. When we got there around 5pm (same day) we were helped by Brycen and Roy, they gave us some feedback and we decided to go with the Level 4 detailing which has the most extensive detailing for auto interior and exterior. Brycen was also nice enough to show us around their shop and pointed out how different services were being used on the cars there (to give us a visual explanation). Dropped off out car 2 days later for the detail. We also decided to have Auto Perfection install ceramic tinting on our car. I believe Evan and Brycen took lead on the detailing of our car. They were both very personable and informative during all of our calls/interactions. Roy, Brycen, Evan, and their entire team did an amazing job! The years of oxidation on our car had ultimately disappeared and it returned to a shiny luster, and to be quite honest I had some doubts that my 2009 Toyota Corolla would ever be that shiny again. The tint is still settling in right now, as it needs a few days. However, we are overall happy with the results and can't wait to show "her" off again. We are planning to go back in 3-4 months for their level 1 package for a light spa day and potentially looking into having their team perform the CeramicPro Coating on our car. Went looking around Yelp and called shops that only had top reviews to do vinyl wrap on my car. Roy from Auto Perfection promptly returned my call and gave me a competitive quote compared to the other shops. They were also able to take me that same weekend. I went down personally to a couple shops and also to Auto Perfection and Roy gave me a tour of their shop. I was impressed, many high end sport and luxury cars down to the average Joe's car like mine. They have a climate controlled room especially for applying the coating which the other shops didn't have. At first I just wanted the roof, spoiler and chrome trim around the windows wrapped but Roy also suggested adding Ceramic Pro coating on the vinyl to protect and prolong the life of the vinyl from fading. I did my research and found out the Ceramic Pro brand is one of the best and very well known for ceramic coating. Roy was the only shop that suggested adding ceramic coating, his prompt and professional service and being impressed with the shop, I went with them and glad I did. They gave me the option of dropping off the car the night before and the next day my car was done. Evan called me the next day to pick it up and the car came out better than I thought. The vinyl gave my car a custom look. I get compliments about it and couldn't be any happier. Just had my Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT ceramic coated with Auto Perfection LLC in Kakaako. They did an amazing job from start to finish. They were very responsive in setting up an appt for the initial consultation and have a phone that you can text back and forth. (I don't understand why all businesses don't have some sort of text response etc) They also have a program that reminds you of your appt and you can add it to your phones calendar. Josh was very very informative and was very honest on the whole process and pricing. They are a authorized Ceramic Pro dealer (google it, I did, it's the very best Ceramic coating brand around) and do an amazing job. I've had my car back for about a week now and I get compliments all the time. First time getting my brand new car ceramic coated so I went with their gold package plus interior and safety check installation. The communication from booking appointment to drop off went well. Upon inspection, communication was on point and answered any questions I had. I was told their would be a light polish if needed because even brand new cars still have swirl marks and scratches. Also my installer let me know that the safety checks are harder to do nowadays but will call me if anything went wrong and insured that if they mess up on it they will pay full for it. Dropped off car on Thursday morning and was ready to be picked up on Saturday evening. Took a tour of the car and it came out excellent as expected but he did stretch the safety check a little but I wasn't to considered about it. My installer than explained the warranty and washing methods to maintain the coating. The interior coating also only last 1 year which I was told after they did it, kinda disappointing. After coming home I did another inspection. I was extremely disappointed to see swirl marks and scratches on the black paint. Anyone with black paint knows this feeling. I would have at least tried to polish any swirls myself before booking an appointment because if you machine polish this yourself or take it to another shop it completely voids the warranty. It makes you wonder if they even inspected the paint. But I know I didn't pay for a complete correction so that's my fault on my end and just assumed their "gold" package would've taken cared of it. Also you need to do a yearly maintenance WASH with them that cost $200-300 to upkeep your warranty which doesn't make sense if your a weekend detailer or don't mind keeping your car clean biweekly. I think the ceramic pro line is meant more for the consumers that don't really take care of their cars too often. If you know how to wash your car properly you might want to get your car coated else where. I believe the company, people and the product is top of the line but just do more research and know what you're getting into.
