I came to Yelp to find a car detailer so I'm leaving this review for the next person thats searching on Yelp. John is kind and cordial. But I hope when I ask for an interior car detailer, I get what I pay for. Pictured is my steering wheel, visibly dirty still. There are several parts of the car still dirty and I don't believe my car was extremely filthy beforehand. Parts of the interior feel sticky upon getting the car back. I feel like I received a glorified car wash and vacuum with "refreshers" to make it smell decent. Furthermore, John's timing is off. He told me it would be a 2 hour job. Had requested for ceramic coating and he offered me the 3 layer with 8yrs protection + scratch resistance ceramic coating. The job is really excellent. After the procedure notice that there are minor scratch the we both don't know where it came from and he told me that he is willing to come by to my house and fix it (kalihi to ewa beach) after the fixing it came out like nothing is happen. Just picked up our truck from John this morning. Price was very reasonable and fair but more importantly, the quality of the work was 100%. Our car hasn't looked this clean and shiny since we bought it new from the dealer. From start to finish he was very communicative and gave us updates throughout the day. He's located right off Kam IV rd in Kalihi and it does appear to be a residential location that he's working out of but don't let that deter you. If anything, it's probably the reason why he can be extremely competitive with his pricing since he doesn't have to pay rent for a shop. He's also honest. My kid has been looking for his beats headphones for a few weeks and John found it while cleaning the car (we thought we cleaned out the car completely but turns out we didnt) he could've easily kept it but he was honest and let me know when we picked up the truck...really, really appreciated that. We try to shop small/support local as much as possible and we're happy we went with him. I know there are more popular/well known places to go to, some that we have used ourselves in the past, but John does just as good of a job as the others. Save yourself some $$ and check him out. We needed our carpet (high traffic areas) cleaned the day before our guests came in. I literally sent out a request for quotes from various companies at around 11 pm the night before we needed services to be done. John messaged me back around 5 am the next morning and offered to come as he had availability in his schedule. I sent him pictures and asked if he could give me an estimate, he replied within minutes with a quote that was extremely fair and especially so for such last minute services. He did an awesome job! He got out stains that another company wasn't able to a few years ago. He was extremely polite and friendly, so easy to work with. We are definitely keeping his card to call him for our future carpet cleaning needs. He also does solar panel cleaning, which I asked for a quote while he was over, he came back with a very good price. I will have to schedule that appointment with him soon.
