Lines usually move quick, theres always friendly costco workers there to help, and cheapest gas.

Be VERY mindful of what day and time you go, as the lines can be VERY long! I found that going REALLY early in the morning or just before they close (especially on Sundays) are the quickest times. Remember - you need to have your membership card AND 'plastic' to purchase fuel. No cash. read more

As gas prices continue to serge it's always great how Costco thinks of the everyday person giving all Costco customers low prices. I haven't seen prices under $4 is awhile so I was delighted and will gladly take every penny. The line as normal is crazy however this location has two entrances so depending on which direction you are coming from determines the length of time you wait. I can always count on the red light/green light symbols allowing every customer to see which pump is open as soon as it comes available making for the traffic flow to whiz by. If your new to this location the gas is located across the street from the actual store so having to get back over to the other side of the road after isn't my favorite but it is what it is and doesn't stop the hundreds of Costco savers! Costco Iwilei gas station in Kalihi This review is for the Costco gas station at the Iwilei Costco store. It is on the next street over across from the Costco store's warehouse. As with all other Costco gas stations, you'll need to be a Costco member in order to use this facility. Generally, Costco gas prices are the same across the island of Oahu and are significantly cheaper than regular gas stations. If you are on a trip and are a Costco member, you will be allowed to fill your vehicle here too. They sell 87 and 92 octane gas here. I've been coming here for gas for years. It is a larger facility than the Kapolei operation. What makes it larger is there are three gassing stations (for lack of a better name) at either side of each fill line. You put your membership card into the gassing machine and then your payment card (which must be a debit card). If your membership card is your payment card, then you just continue on to press the gas octane you want and put the fill nozzle into your vehicle's gas reservoir. The digital display explains all that you are to do. They now have nozzles that will autostop to help customers not have to depress the fill level the entire time the gas is filling. There are at least a couple of a few gas attendants walking around ensuring that gas fill problems are quickly resolved. Call to them if you need their help. Once done, you return the gas nozzle back to the fill machine, close your gas tank reservoir cover, and return back to the machine display where it will ask if you want a receipt to be generated. Once you retrieve your receipt, you are free to go. Always nice and clean, spic and span. There are large trash receptacles at each gas line at the center areas. If the entire line appears to be finished about the same time, the drivers will wait for both vehicles ahead to vacate the line so they can drive into the furthest or first gas station. Pull up to the line depending on the side that your gas tank reservoir is on, and wait for the ppl ahead of you finish self-filling their cars. Thank you for offering much cheaper gas, Costco Iwilei! Five stars. The service requested is pretty much self-service. If you need help, the attendants will assist you there. The value of the gasoline is great compared to the outside gas station prices. Today at the Iwilei Costco Gas it was $3.89/gallon for regular. In Hawai'i Kai last night it was $4.55/gallon for regular. Huge difference in prices! Another hate and love relationship with this gasoline station with lines being long during peak hours and short lines during early mornings and early evening times. The line to enter can be dreadful and you need a lot of patience. But prices here are reasonful than other gas stations except for waipio location and Sam club's gas station. read more

Don't you just love it when you can drive into a Costco Gas Station and there's no line? This isn't usually that place but every so often it happens and it makes me you feel like you've won the lottery! Lol there's no lottery in 808 so just use your imagination here and go with it. Today I had to pick up Sofie's RX so I came at 8:55 AM and scored great parking at the warehouse. Leaving I decided since my range was 130 miles (half tank) I would get gas. Pulling into the Gas Station I was surprised not to see lines at any of the pump rows and pulled right up to be first in line for an open pump. One of those indecisive moments when there's so many open lines you don't know where to go. This qualifies as the busiest gas station in Honolulu. You must have Costco membership to gas up here. Unless you go early in the morning or late in the evening, be prepared to wait in the long line of cars trying to get into their driveway for either direction. It helps when customers have their Costco card ready and gas tank door open before they pull up to the pump. At least there are 3 pumps on both sides of each island. Always my fuel stop at any of the islands, Costco usually has the best prices and located near the airport to top off the fuel tank. I enjoy being able to fill up at a cost actually less than at home and also being able to shop at the Costco store afterwards. At this fuel station, be sure to in from the northeast entrance, as traffic is always busy making a left turn into the station. Just tap your Costco card at the dispenser and choose your fuel. Choices are regular unleaded and supreme for those high performance engines in the newer vehicles. Living Hawaii is expensive - absolutely true! Having a car is more expensive- uh, I don't think so. And speaking of car, you need gasoline! And who doesn't like to save extra penny on that? Nobody! Goodness COSTCO GASOLINE saves everyone's day! This specific location though is somewhat chaotic. Not to mention the heavy traffic most of the time. Every Aunty and Uncle comes here. I can't blame nobody as this is the only cheapest gasoline station in downtown Honolulu. Being a Costco member comes a legibility to fill in their car tank here and that's neat. If only I have the choice it would be better but right now I desperately want to save money. Costco gasoline is still the best price in town. With the recent increase in crude oil, and inflation with gas prices being well over $5/gallon, Costco is literally the only place that I found gas was under $5 a gallon for regular unleaded. 1/16/2021 if you live on the West side, this gas stop next to the Tony Auto Plex will be convenient. Hubs swears by their good price per gallon and he insists our cars get gassed up here. There are very many two sided gas pump lanes. There are always busy but the lines move fairly quickly. Have noticed on the last few visits that a worker disinfects between customers on where you make your selections. It's pretty centrally located so you could multi task and grocery shop, pick up from fast food surrounding the area, get your car washed, get a haircut, buy a new car,etc. The freeway exit and on ramp is convenient for easy access.
