Ahipoki has got to be my favorite poke chain in the state. I've been to this location off and on over the years and since the location closest to me closed down, this is now the nearest one. Their service can be a hit or a miss, but have always been friendly overall. I usually take my order to go instead of dining in, but they do have a good amount of seating options available. I usually stick to my regular order whenever I get poke anywhere, which usually consists of salmon, scallops (when available) over brown rice with varying toppings (depending on the place) in a house sauce. What I love about Ahipoki in general is that their ingredients are fresh, and their rice is never mushy. The only gripe I have about this location is that their portion sizes are not consistent. read more

Yum!!! Gotta love a good poke spot and when you're not in Hawaii, Ahipoki comes pretty close! I happened to come in for lunch on a mission to "be healthy." I never feel guilty when I have poke and this did not disappoint! The service is great. The employees are always patient with me and the restaurant is clean. It's a very casual setting and a great option for a quick lunch especially if you work in the area. Prices are very reasonable and the ingredients are always fresh. Not sure what to think because ordering on Door Dash was a mistake. Paid 17 dollars for each bowl and all it came with was white rice and skimped scoops of fish. Not sure if this is a limitation on the app, or if there isn't enough information. At face value, the portions were small and I can't say it was worth the cost. Ambiance was nice when I picked up the food, and the workers were really friendly and supportive. Just my experience. I saw a new menu Item; teriyaki chicken and shrimp bowl so I thought i would try it. Before I ordered it, I asked if it was made with chicken breast or chicken thigh and was told it was breast meat. She started serving the food and I again questioned her as it looked like thigh meat but was covered with teriyaki sauce so I couldn't be sure. She again assured me that it was breast meat. I went ahead with my order and had to remind her that tuna-mac is supposed to be included, she did add that as I was leaving. When I got home and tried the chicken, it was indeed thigh meat. I called and was advised there was nothing she could do. I could check back later in the week with the GM. My 2 star rating is for the server not knowing the ingredients. read more

I enjoyed my poke bowl at this place but they just give slightly less food overall than other poke locations I've been to. I was still full when I finished though! Ingredients tasted fresh and I like that they didn't charge extra for the seaweed salad. They also are reasonably priced for the protein scoops and give you a decent amount. Also has more variety of protein options compared to other places--you can't always find yellowtail (extra charge!) or scallops. We got ours to go and got our orders within a reasonable time frame. One of my wife's favorite comfort foods (and food in general) is sushi and we see poki bowls as just deconstructed sushi so it is a great way of getting more of what we like without feeling like we are getting too much =) Ahipoki has a fresh menu where you get to make your own bowl from a number of ingredients. The portion from scoops is a little smaller than our local poki joint and there wasn't as much seafood variety but for the most part, we were pleased with what we got. Prices are fairly reasonable for fresh seafood and such and portions are pretty good. Service is fast and friendly and you get some deliciously fresh food. Seriously Subway has nothing on them, eating fresh shouldn't be attributed to old deli meats. read more

My go-to is a large (3 scoops) bowl with brown rice, spicy tuna, tuna luau, and blazing salmon. I add some tamari (gluten-free soy sauce) and sesame oil... and then cover it with most of their fresh toppings. It's consistently awesome! Saw this place as I was heading into my car and realized I havnt had poki in a while, so I popped in. Poki is one of those things you can't really make wrong, just have good fish and good sauces. The salmon was great quality for this local poke shop, some pieces even had that "melt in your" mouth texture, better salmon than some of the other poke shops I've been to in CA. The menu pictures are very deceiving, the picture showed a good portion of a chicken breast and we received a small portion of soaked shredded teriyaki chicken. They allow reasonable substitutions like switching the 2 or 3 scoops of salmon for crab mix if you don't want to eat raw fish. The interior is really clean. Masks are optional here which I appreciate. One of the better poke bowl spots in town! I was impressed by the selection of toppings and was super excited to get my meal. I also ordered a Thai tea which was SO delicious while I waited in anticipation for my food. When I got my food I felt underwhelmed by the small amount of salmon in my bowl, especially considering the high price. I add masago, crab salad,seaweed salad and load up with sides.. add sauce and sprinkle dry seaweed to finish Some of the add one are extra so pay attention when ordering.. they are pretty good about letting you know but your $9.99 double scoop can end up being $14 if you're not careful .. i love avocado but it's an additional $1.50/scoop .. Today my salad was way overdressed .. luckily the brown rice helped off set that sweetness.. maybe because it was 1/2 salad and they gave me a full salad pour? Ehhhhh I was a fan until today. I would have given this a 3.5 or maybe even a 4 but something was way off today. I go in around lunch and there were a few people in line and the place was fairly busy and no complaints about that, I am super excited for businesses with a lot of people and waiting is not an issue. I've been here multiple times and the fish is fine, nothing that is a wow IMO. As soon as I get my turn to order and I'm super happy and friendly, the 3 employees behind the counter just didn't have any personality or any interaction with me to care. Now I'm not looking for 10 star service at a fast casual, but have some personality and something especially if I have a good attitude coming in. Maybe they just wanted to get the line over with and rushed out the door. Idk but I don't care, service is a huge part of business. Onto the poke. I got "blazing salmon" or whatever they called it, ahi tuna and then their flavored tuna. Yellow tail was a $1 extra. Seriously? No other poke spot charges extra for yellowtail. It's annoying to nickel and dime people. My portion size wasn't even worth what I paid for and the scoops were inconsistent from every type of fish I had. The blazing salmon I was thinking it was going to have a spicy taste, nope and the fish tasted off. The luau tuna I think they call the special was absolutely awful. The flavor profile was terrible and almost ruined my entire meal. The ahi tuna was fine. The sauces were limited compared to other places and I didn't get excited about any of it. I get to the third person for the extra toppings and literally didn't smile one time. She was so annoyed with me and every customer it was like here is your stuff and get out of here type attitude. I was so turned off to eat my meal by the way they handled everything it almost made me throw it away. Overall I think I'm going to be going to other poke spots that have more flavor, friendlier staff, and a higher care for the product and customer. To me, poke is basically sushi. A poke bowl is basically all the parts of sushi but not neatly wrapped into a roll. I find it's the best way to get more bang for your dinner dollar. I get those delicious Japanese tastes in a bowl instead of a roll. I use the same dining hack when I'm at Chipotle. I order a bowl instead of a burrito and ask for extra rice and beans. Then, i get a side tortilla and assemble the burrito myself. Usually I'm able to get two burritos out of one bowl. So when I'm craving sushi and don't want to pay the high sushi prices to get full on those Japanese flavors, I go to Ahipoke near my home. This last time I went, I saw they also do a large chicken breast and a teriyaki style bowl. I tried it and it was also delicious. The chicken was prepared fresh and went well with the optional toppings. This is a great option for when I go with friends and they are not ones who like fish or anything else from the sea. read more

The size to price ratio feels a little skewed for what you're getting and the flavor felt very artificial and slightly chemically that it was hard to get past to enjoy anything else.
