Our drinks were brought out to us promptly. I ordered the ceviche de camarón o pescado. I couldn't decide between shrimp or fish. So the server said he'll do half and half for my order. Problem solved! My friend got the Botana de camarón cosida. Both dishes were refreshing. Mine had a great citrus punch to it. Definitely lots of lime! You'd think it would be all that filling. Just some fish and some shrimp. But there was so much on the plate, I was DEFINITELY full! Even left a little on the plate. The place was nicely decorated. Very kitschy Mexico street stand vibes. It's been a while where I ate at a place and left there going, man that was some amazing food and I can't wait to come back and try the other dishes. This place is some what of an off location and you would have to know it's here. Little small restaurant with friendly staff and nice decor. I decided to try the Botana Especial, which has shrimp aquachile Rojo, verde, and ceviche. Price was little out of what I like to spend for a lunch but I said what the heck, I'll roll that dice. Waitress came back with the fish and they looked yummy and decorative. She recommended to put some mayo on the tostada and she selected two salsas she likes the best. Well I never put mayo on anything but for some reason I said hell with it, I'll give it a try. First took a spoon full of the aquachile Rojo and just tasted the juice.. Oh my word, I don't know what kind of magic they pulled here but I never tasted such fresh, tasty, refreshing aquachile in my life. I was instantly in love.. So i put on some mayo, shrimp, cucumber, and slice of fresh avacado. Drip some red sauce and in my mouth it went and wow, for this time only I would have to say I like mayo... Combination of everything went so well together. Rojo was my favorite out of the three but shrimp ceviche was also amazing. Verde also had nice flavor and very tasty. Portion were pretty good and I was pretty full by the time I finished the dish. I was tempted to pick up the plate and drink the left over, but my luck I spill it all over my shirt. I really really enjoyed this place, I felt like I was sitting in the beach somewhere in Mexico and someone just made my dish and brought it to me. Absolutely love the agua frescas here! My favorite is always the watermelon agua fresca, so fresh with amazing flavor. They're also known for their ceviche; I didn't get it this time, but it's always delicious and high quality. The service is super friendly, greeting us right when we walk in and quick too. From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall, but they serve very authentic ceviche. Overall, a great spot with excellent prices! Great location close to the ASU campus and the freeway. But let me get back to this food! The ceviche was so fresh and the shrimp tender. You can tell right away when the ceviche is premade in the morning and sat there until lunch rush. This stuff tasted like they just made it like right now for me! We just landed and were on our way to our hotel but wanted to get a bite to eat first. We decided on mariscos and stopped in here. It's a casual place where you order up front and then sit down while they prepare your order and they bring it by. Honestly? Honestly? We didn't have enough stomach to try what we really wanted to try so we stuck to a shrimp/octopus cocktail, aguachile verde and a fish taco. Hubby had the cocktail and said it was pretty good. Welp I hate to give them such a low review because I have had them in the past and the food was great but this time not so much. I order the small shrimp cocktail thru the Yelp delivery and honestly it was not good at all. Not anything I have had in the past. I usually order from them once a month when I need to go into the office and it was a little disappointing this last time. The shrimp tasted old and not good at all the Clamato was so over powering which isn't a bad thing but there was no flavor. Look, it's simple right? Mexican Shrimp cocktail... then why has been it been challenging to find one that satisfies my palate? Well, until now. Marisocos is suite 1 at the end of the plaza. Strolled on in. I admit I may go a bit heavy on Valentina and ketchup when I make mine at home... maybe. So, I did add a squirt of ketchup into mine after first taste and a mix of the plethora of hot sauce options on the table. Look, I don't know why it was so frigging good to me? Maybe because I'd been craving it? I could literally taste everything, cucumber, avocado, cilantro and the jalapeno and it just tasted so good, refreshing. The shrimp was fresh. It all tasted so fresh. Like so fresh AND I received better service at the table than I have in a restaurant in a long time. Like for real, and it was friendly not this awkward weird "leave me alone, already" type of thing. No, the dude was great, the cocktail was exactly what I wanted and needed and I am likely to head in again but next time I'll go for a regular and not a large. So glad I skipped the drink. Not a visible public restroom but I did hear him offer upon inquiry. I'm satisfied. A little pricey I suppose, with a heavier tip $25 but I got the large, it came with the perfect number of totasta shells for the portion and a few packs of saltine crackers. Came here on a day trip to Tempe from Scottsdale--and I would drive again for this. Shrimp ceviche platter and the pineapple aqua fresca were light, fresh, delicious and large enough to share. We enjoyed every bite. You can see them peeling shrimp and juicing limes in the back. Staff were so friendly and made great recommendations. The location in a strip mall surprised us but don't be turned off. Many people were coming to eat in or get take out. Don't miss out on this hidden gem just outside the university area! So I have been here twice now. They are a little pricey but you get a good amount of food and it is good. I've been super into shrimp lately so it's a good place to get my fix. You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Service is super quick and you don't have to wait too long. The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars is that some of my shrimp looked a little grey and I don't think they let it marinate long enough to be fully cooked. Fortunately I didn't get sick or anything but I did have a few stomach cramps later on, but they subsided rather quick. The second time I went everything was perfect and I and no issues at all. Just something to consider when you go, a lot of the dishes are cooked by the lime/citrus etc which can take a bit longer so request cooked shrimp or just make sure to check that all of the shrimp are nice and pink. read more

Will that keep us from making the drive, no way! This fully satisfied my culinary cravings. The seafood is so fresh, you may think you are beachside at the best restaurant on the coast. Like a resort??? No, it's a typical ma & pop establishment, but their service and smiles easily put it up there with the best 5 stars out there, especially in the desert! Their array of hot sauces (pictured) enhance your experience and I felt like I was eating at least 7 different dishes. Try them all! The server check on us at least THREE times to see how we were doing. Toward he asked if we needed a box, my wife said "yes", I looked at him as if I said, "hold my beer, I got this"! If you are on the East side or picking up friends and family from the airport, don't cheat yourself of this hidden gem. If you live on the West side, please get some takeout for us! Although the place may look small it packs a lot of flavor from their Tosticeviche, Coctel de camarón y La Torre - so delicious! And let's not forget their aguas frescas: Piña (with chamoy rim dip), Jamaica, horchata, sandía, y Melon were amazing. How they got so much fresh fruit flavor in them in impressive. The associates there treat the plates of food how they want to enjoy it so that means it's crazy good. Honestly it's hard to find a great place like this in Arizona so we are going to be back to try more because mariscos never goes out of style y el antojo está cabron.
