My add ons were green onion, cilantro, cucumber, edamame, half greens/half rice with house sauce. This company started in LA and I really enjoy their restaurants there. This is the first one I've seen in Arizona so I naturally had to try it out. It was even better than I expected. Service was outstanding by friendly, helpful Manager Danielle. I had a large bowl with raw salmon, tuna, scallops, shrimp for proteins. How did it take me so long to find this sweet spot in Scottsdale! My two friends from the Bay Area and I were craving something fresh and decided to give Poke Bar a try. Immediately by the simple name and simple location I thought this place would also offer simple flavor - wrong, it was great! The portion size is perfect, there is a whole spread of different fresh proteins and all the mix-ins you can think of! Great options for multiple scoops and completely make it your way poke dish! We make sure we visit here every time we're in Scottsdale. The bowls here are fresh and delicious and very generous in size! We love the cup of miso they provide with each bowl, so yummy! This was my first poke experience and it was so so soooo good. I had driven by this place before and saw it had good reviews, so I stopped in during my Monday lunch break. The space is very modern looking and super clean! The staff were friendly and there were a couple of other people already inside eating when I arrived. You choose what goes into your bowl at the counter and they make it right then and there for you. Since it was my first try, I went for a medium size instead of a small or a large and ended up with white rice, Hawaiian tuna, salmon, tuna, spicy mayo, cucumber, pineapple, onion, crab meat, cucumber salad, ginger and crispy garlic. There were so many options I was just randomly getting anything that sounded good. Next time I will probably try to go for a more strategic flavor selection, but I was still loving the bowl I got! Next lunch break I will also probably opt for a small. Good size portions for the medium, I don't know how I could possibly finish a large, and believe me, I can eat. Everything tasted fresh and I was really impressed by the quality and portion sizes for what you pay. My total was $11 for the medium, and I think a small will run you about $9. Assuming the large is still under the $15 range. For what you get, this is absolutely worth it. I would probably rather come here than grab sushi rolls in the future! I had a delicious lunch with the lovely Merichelle V. here. The menu offers small, medium, and large bowls with your requisite base mix (Spring mix, kale, or rice) and a variety of mix ins. I had the large, 4 scoop bowl with spring mix, scallops, salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna. For dressing I had a house and house spicy blend and toppings included crabmeat, cucumber, and jalapeno. I loved all the elements in my bowl. The amount of dressing they used was perfect, and the fish was very fresh. After talking with the staff it turns out that the seafood here is either flown in from Hawaii or sustainably sourced. Of all the toppings the crabmeat was probably my favorite. My salad was crisp, cool, and refreshing. It was the perfect meal for a blistering hot day! Another plus of this poke place is that they have both bottled drinks and a soda fountain for maximum beverage choice. Since salad doesn't fill me up as much as rice, the 4 scoop was perfect for me. If I had a lighter appetite that day the 3 scoop medium would have been good. For me, this is a high contender for one of the most delicious poke shops in the Phoenix area.
