Food was expensive and very bland. Hibiscus ice tea was extremely bitter (not unsweetened). The food all came out at different times. Three out of four people in our party had finished their entire meals before the last entree came out. The location is cute and the atmosphere is very "Laguna" but you stand in line to place your order and the screen they give you to sign has a 20% tip already added - you have to click "other" to leave less. Been seeing AhbA all over tiktok and recommended from friends.. Decided to try this location yesterday after a day at the beach. Came with a group of friends around 8pm ish, it was pretty busy as expected. The line to order wasn't too long so that was great! Very beautiful spot, plenty of seating area if you're lucky to snag a spot before others. Menus are posted with a QR code around the ordering area which is a cool plus! Ordering process wasn't so nice.. a young girl took my order (didn't catch her name). She didn't ask for our name or give us a number after we had asked for the food to be dine in. Thought this was weird because the rest of our friends got asked their names or were given a number to dine in. My friend and I were not given a number or asked our names so we thought it was kinda weird considering that's how we get our food. The cashier wasn't too friendly either, no smiles, no "welcome!".. Just a straight face as she waited for us to greet her and start our order. Seems like friendly customer service isn't such a big deal here.. Since my friend and I didn't receive anything for our order we went to the take out spot to check if our order was possibly placed there instead. The guy who was helping us was so accommodating and helpful! Very relieved of that. Not sure if he was a manger but he was amazing! We told him of the issue and it took a while to find our order but he got everything in order. He asked if we would still like our orders to enjoy here or take them to go instead. We decided to just take it to go as most of our friends had already got their orders way before us and enjoyed it themselves. We appreciated the offer to take it to go. GREAT menu, clean, no seed oils. I ordered the small plate hummus and a glass of lite white wine. The hummus was swirled with a garlic pesto and fig with a side of olive oil-infused toast for dipping. Absolutely delicious. As for the wine, very disappointing. The menu does not describe the winery, nor the vintage. It did not taste good, would not order it again, and I had a bad reaction to it later. Such a cute little spot for brunch. Haven't had good Aperol Spritz in a while. Theirs pleasantly surprised me and to have it on a warm sunny day was such a treat. Their burger was also very delicious - double patties grilled perfectly medium with au jus oozing out each bite I took. The buns were exactly how I like 'em...brioche-soft, the kind that sticks to the roof of your mouth if you know what I mean. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had in Laguna. This place is super popular on tiktok so I decided to give it a try. We ordered the famous burger and a grilled cheese, both with fries. Ahba Burger: it definitely didn't look the way it looks in the videos, which is okay. However the taste was mid, in n out or other comparable places are definitely better. The burger was like $18 which insane for the quality. The fries were cold and I could tell they had been sitting out for a while. The grilled cheese was genuinely just a joke. They gave me hamburger buns and 3 slices of singles cheese inside. Thats it. No dressings of any kind, no lettuce, tomato, not even onions. May I add that the cheese wasn't even melted... they forgot the "grilled" part of a grilled cheese. If I wanted to pay $10 for buns and cold cheese I would've just made it at home. I took the grilled cheese back because it was honestly just ridiculous and the girl that helped me was very sweet. She offered to remake it or give me something else. We had already been waiting for a while so I wanted something that would be quick. She said a salad is fast, only takes like 2 minutes to make, so I accepted. I told her i'd be willing to get a Caesar salad. She went and told the cook and the cook was upset and said "why are we remaking this for her." After she explained he was reluctant but still made it. When I tell you the salad I received.. actually laughable. It was smaller than the size of my hand, definitely not their normal sized salads. It was like a side that was gone in 3 bites. At that point I was over it so I just left because I wasn't going to keep wasting my time. As for the environment, there is absolutely no parking anywhere. They don't have a lot so you need to find street parking and theyre located next to an apartment complex so good luck finding anything. The bathroom is in the building next door, there is barely any lighting in there, they had incense lit up so the smell was interesting. I was actually excited to try this place because it looked cute and the food looked amazing on tiktok. I kept getting videos on my fyp about it and made the 45 min drive. Everything was just disappointing and a waste of money. I don't know if their quality went down because they got more popular but go at your own risk. We drove an hour just to try the Ahba smash burgers that social media hyped up, but as soon as we arrived, the service completely ruined the experience. You place your order at the front then take a number. Alcohol can be ordered next door. That system got me a little confused. Personally, I found it unnecessary to be forced to make two transactions all because you want alcohol. The brunch menu is pretty limited. Half of what we wanted wasn't available which was a major bummer. We ended up sharing the chicken sandwich, salad and cheese w/ bread. The food was ok.
