My wife and I came for a mid-week early dinner, sat outside, where there was plenty of seating to choose from. We sat by an enclosed firepit that was nice as it was a little chilly. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The Finca Old Fashion was very good. The fall beet salad was excellent both in presentation and taste. I especially enjoyed the promogranite seeds in a radish-cut-flower. The beets were tasty as were the other ingredients. The French Fries were very good and came free with the hamburger during Happy Hour. The Finca Burger was nothing special in my opinion. I would try a different dish in the future. The slow roasted butternut squash was very good. The total bill came to $79.74 without a tip. It was somewhat pricey in my mind. Finca has the best wood fire smoke filling the whole of River Street Marketplace. I had to go there just to satisfy my olfactory curiosity! I had the Tri tip sandwich - it was good! I wanted to like this place, but won't be back. When we first arrived the girl asked us how many in our Party, then proceeded to ask the gentleman behind us about his party. Paying no attention to us that our table was ready, she had a full blown conversation with the man about his party that just dragged out . It took about 15 minutes for our server to come over to our table after being seated. I ordered the smash burger with a side of fries. Fries were good, the burger was ok until I thought I cracked my tooth! Turns out, there was a bone in the beef. Luckily, I had eaten about 75% of the burger when that happened. They have a very nice staff and decent menu although we did not eat. Patio dining was packed and overlooking a grassy area. This is a VERY family friendly area with lots a kids running around and live music on the weekends. Nice and pleasant. read more

So good. We went down for a late lunch at Finca. We were perusing the menu before we decided to eat. The manager came up and gave us insight as to how they did things ie: cooking over wood fire, fresh farm to table etc. He claimed the burgers were the best. The price was on the higher end. But we had to see...... and he was right. We split a Caesar salad and got the Hawaiian burger and the steak sandwich. The Burger was amazing, the pulled pork on top of the burger patty was perfection. The grilled pineapple was thick and juicy and perfectly grilled. The steak sandwich was good, but to compare it to the burger would be silly, it couldn't compare. I'd come back and try another burger and the fries (must order separately as sides don't come with the burgers) The salad was great because you could just taste the freshness. The restaurant is clean and the decor is right on brand. Only negative I have is we each ordered a Diet Coke, they came in individual bottles that were tiny. If I'm going to drink soda I'd usually like the option of a refill. But I'd recommend Finca to anyone asking where to get a good burger. read more

Really loved atmosphere and service but food was just mid. It's not that the food was bad it's that it was just average. The fries came with a sauce trio but didn't love the sauces. The smash burger was pretty good though! Drinks good but they didn't come out until after our food arrived. Personally I love when your drinks arrives 15 minutes before your food. I got the Basil Paloma and it didn't really taste of Basil. Anyways, it was fun trying! Next time I'd like to try the Brussels sprouts and a different cocktail. read more

Outdoor seating is very nice and spacious. We shared the Caesar Salad, Vegetable Fundido, Grilled Corn and Grilled Prime Hanger Steak amongst four people and it was the perfect amount of food! Steak was cooked perfectly. There are so many flavor dishes to try! Finca is dog friendly and you can order a pup patty! Brought my friend here to celebrate her bday together. My overall feel was "it was fine" but I really did want it to be amazing. The restaurant itself is very nicely done, classy and country vibe. We sat on the patio by the fire. The food was ok - I was surprised that my friend's burger didn't come with a side but we were happy to share the Brussels sprouts. I had the sweet potato tacos that I wouldn't recommend but was the only option for a vegetarian. I asked if I could make a plate from their selection of vegetable sides and I was told "no". We ended up here unexpectedly after realizing the restaurant we had reservations at was closed, and we're glad we did. We were seated quickly and the service was excellent -- everyone was friendly and very helpful. They brought a high chair for our toddler and had a great kids menu, which made the experience even better. We sat outside and really enjoyed the setup. They have fireplaces and ceiling heaters that make the patio comfortable, and there's also indoor dining if you prefer. It was especially nice with a toddler because there's a play area just beyond the restaurant's fence, which made it easy for our son to explore a bit. It was good when they first opened but not anymore. I had high hopes for Finca last night but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The burger was decent -- maybe two stars at best -- but at $24, it definitely wasn't worth the price. The tallow fries for $14 fries were nothing special and underwhelming. The Brussels sprouts dish was especially frustrating: it was mostly fruit with very few actual Brussels sprouts, which felt misleading and poorly balanced. To make matters worse, the pours on glasses of wine were noticeably short. For what they charge, you'd expect a proper serving. Service didn't help the experience either. The wait times for food were long, and instead of taking ownership, our waiter repeatedly blamed the kitchen for being backed up. It made the whole experience feel disorganized and unprofessional. Overall, overpriced, underwhelming food, and poor execution. I won't be returning. read more

This was our first visit to the River Street Marketplace so also the first restaurant we tried there. The hostess was very attentive and got us seated quickly for a busy Saturday afternoon. We got a great table outside along the fire pit so it was a beautiful ambiance. We arrived between lunch and dinner so were given the dinner menu, but several of the entrees are only served after 4:30 so we were stuck with burgers and sides. We ordered the Finca burger and Weiser Farm new potatoes. The burger was tasty, but the potatoes were definitely the highlight. The one downside is that the place is very pricey for what you get. A burger and fries here will cost you at least $33 and easily $40. I've had some of the best burgers in the country for far less and that were far better. Maybe the entrees after 4:30 are worth it, but don't come for the burgers. read more

Went to Finca for lunch. The service was great, and the food was good. You could tell it was fresh (farm to table), as was the Hibiscus cocktail ($16), which we ordered without the added sugar syrup to make it less sweet. However, the Three Star Burger was not great. It was greasy and flavorless- no seasoning on the meat itself. We had to ask for salt to make it eatable. The burger was $24, and does not come with anything other than a pickle. We also ordered the Wedge salad. Again, good not great for $18. Some little things...the chairs in the patio are comfy but very high. I looked like Lily Tonkin in a too big for me chair. In my mind I was thinking elote, but it wasn't. They put their own spin to it, which works too! Nice touch adding the blue corn tortilla, so we were able to scoop up all the goodness! - Brocolini. I'm a fan of brocolini in general, and theirs was next level umami! - Beef Tallow Fries. You'd think fries are just fries, right? Nope, not these! I could eat that entire bowl myself! Just try'um if you're a French fry connoisseur, or not. LOL. Lunch entree: - Burgers x4, please! Their wood fired burgers were honestly (and in my most humble opinion), the best burger I've had thus far. The ladies had the Vaquero burger, perfectly seasoned and cooked, tender and succulent! We were so impressed with Finca that I felt compelled to write a review, even though I rarely do. The service was incredible and the food was fantastic. We started with the wedge salad and the beef tallow French fries, both were outstanding. I'm usually not a fan of thick-cut fries, but these were cooked to perfection: crispy, flavorful, and paired with an amazing selection of condiments. The house-made ranch and homemade barbecue sauce were both delicious, and the pineapple dipping sauce was such a unique, tasty surprise. We also tried the Finca burger, which we all agreed was hands down one of the best burgers we've ever had. The beef itself tasted phenomenal. You could definitely tell it was high quality/very clean meat. Everything was so fresh, right down to the tomatoes and lettuce. The staff truly elevated our experience. We were helped by Alexis, who was warm, kind, and accommodating from start to finish. Her cheerful energy made our evening even more enjoyable. This dinner was extra special because it was one of our first outings with our newborn daughter. The staff couldn't have been more thoughtful or accommodating they even offered a changing table when I stepped away to care for her. Beautiful restaurant, love the location and ambience and concept. Wood fired grill, semi outdoor seating, nice decor with a kind of elevated gaucho estate type feel. Everything is set up well for a lovely meal until the food comes, which was unfortunately extremely disappointing. Came with a relatively large group and got to try a variety of things including several burgers (bison and beef), steak, squash blossoms, sides (carrots and fries), and salads (wedge salad). The wedge salad was worse than airline salads. The carrots were burnt into oblivion - wood fire is an amazing potential flavor kiss to a nice dish but not if it's charred into burnt bitter carbon. The meat patties in the burgers were oddly formed and just had this unusual texture that somehow was both overcooked and undercooked, and unfortunately just overall the food was extremely bland (bad seasoning, bad texture). Lots of great potential but just really poor execution from Finca unfortunately. Maybe it will improve. Service was lovely! read more
