We've come to this place several times now for happy hour and for lunch and for brunch and everything has been really good. The service has been excellent. The atmosphere is very cool. It's a little bit pricey, but the food is delicious. We came here for dinner with three adults and two kids under 10 and the kids plates were excellent. The kids had tacos and really enjoyed it and then adults had several different items but you must try the bongo soup. It's the best we've ever had.!

Hip Mexican food restaurant adjacent to the San Clemente outlets make this far and away the best choice for food when shopping here. Lots of TVs showing the opening games of the NHL playoff weekend. Portion sizes were big. The grilled steak in the signature carne asada was so tender and perfectly grilled.

Across the way from the San Clemente Outlet, you can hear great sounds of nature, people and most importantly music! Plenty of parking. Clean exterior and interior. We were seated right away! Chips and salsa placed on the table and I had to ask twice what he was saying compared to how elevate his voice was at other tables Waitress came to the table and offered rose options. Super personable! Took our orders and we waited for a bit. I noticed the limes I asked for were completely dry. Fun fact, the smoother the lime is, the juicer. If it's bumpy then expect the lime to be dry. Food arrived and from the wet burrito to the tacos... everything was ok. I noticed the tomato notes were actually throughout all the food we ate and I'm guessing that's their signature. Overall food was on

After a day trip to San Diego, my wife and I made a quick pit stop here--and wow, what a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent, the menu had great variety, and the food quality really stood out. The Cabo Jerky and Ahi Agua Chile were absolute highlights--both dishes were packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. We've tried quite a few spots, and this one easily ranks among our favorites. Definitely a hidden gem that's well worth a visit! Also, thank you again, Augustin!

The food was incredible! everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The ahi tuna ceviche was perfect! Service was quick and friendly, and you can tell they really care about quality. Easily a 5 star experience. Agustin made sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely be coming back

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, although it was slightly disappointing that the tostada was majority lettuce with not enough chicken. Friendly service team, very clean property. Large parking lot with free parking. Outlet mall is across the parking lot so this is a convenient stop for food. Nothing spectacular about this place but, it's cute and a bit upscale as far as Mexican restaurants.

Stopped in just looking for a quick midday snack and ordered the ala cart short rib taco to go. I love a crispy taco and this one had good overall flavor. The meat was a little dry but the sauce and toppings helped save it. The white cheese was solid and there was a green sauce on it that was really good. Honestly I wish there was more of that because it was the highlight. It didn't come with any extra salsa on the side but it was an ala carte taco, so that's fair. The place itself is really cool inside. Great atmosphere lots of energy a nice bar setup with TVs everywhere. It was packed on a Saturday which explains why this turned into a grab and go situation. Prices are a bit higher than other taco spots but you're clearly paying for the atmosphere as much as the food. Not the best taco I've ever had but definitely a solid stop and I'd come back especially if I can get extra of that green sauce next time.

Wonderful day to dine at Asada's at the outlet mall. We were seated outside and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Food is always delicious. I tried something new today the barbecue pork quesadillas. The servings are very generous. I basically have enough for three meals on this plate. Our server was on point and very courteous. The margaritas were especially refreshing.

Asada Cantina is where that quality of food and great hosting meet all expectations for great Mexican food...They offer great selection of tacos, bowls, burritos, salads and etc...The Guac is the most to try....The service was great specially when they boxed the food and even put the dressing inside different containers....The food is quality and fresh...Very tasteful...the hangover burrito was so goodddddd...The shrimp bowl too...I love fun ambiance with gorgeous wall paintings...they have outdoor sitting, full bar, take out and delivery. They are very busy so don't forget to get a reservation before walk in...Wait time can be long...they also have happy hours with great selection of drinks to choose from...

If you like Bloody Mary's, you have to have Jim's Spicy Bloody Mary. It's topped off with a slim Jim, bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeño and a lemon wedge. Yum! Restaurant was extremely busy, but that didn't slow down the service.

Staff: We were very impressed by our sever Humberto. He was truly amazing. Excellent customer service, very attentive, and friendly. Major kudos to him. Quality/Quantity: Wowzer! The food here is absolutely delicious. I started off with one of their famous blood orange margaritas and it was so good. For lunch I got the steak burrito that was served wet and boy was it good. My group got the enchiladas which were described as the best she's ever had. Other guests in my party got the taquitos, tacos, and kids hamburger. Everyone was very happy with the food. Value: The pricing is a little high but the quality of the food supports it. Overall: I was totally digging this spot and will return again.

Asada Cantina is one of those places we truly love and always make a point to come back to whenever we're in the area. We've tried several items on the menu, and honestly, nothing has disappointed us so far. Everything has been consistently flavorful and well prepared. My favorite by far has to be the Asada plate--it's always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. This spot has definitely earned its place as a go-to for us, and we'll gladly keep coming back.

The atmosphere here might be the best part. The lighting is great, the outdoor seating is really well done, and the whole place feels upscale without the prices reflecting that. The chips are excellent. Thin, crispy, and paired with a red roasted salsa that is honestly outstanding. It comes out warm with a smoky flavor that works perfectly with the chips and is easily one of the best salsas I have had. The burrito was also very good. The green salsa really carries the flavor, and the presentation is on point. My only small critique is that the chicken in my double chicken burrito was slightly dry, but there are more than enough positives to outweigh that. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. This spot is perfect for a relaxed family dinner or a date night.

There are tacos on the starter menu. I believe tacos are only shown as a plate however last time we were there we asked our server for a single enchilada and they happily accommodated the request. I'm guessing they'd do the same for a taco.

There is better Mexican out there around here for the same or lesser prices, so don't go here for the value, go for the ambience and if you like drinks and/or expensive tequilas, they've got plenty of those too. My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

First of all, killer deal for a large B&C burrito for $7.75. For 2026, post biden-flation era food, that's pretty damn good. Super friendly order person and staff. Ordered the bean and cheese burrito, Diet Coke and chips/salsa. Total about $13. Decent pricing. Chips were fresh, a little warm and nicely crispy. Good start. I asked for green salsa and it was delicious. Nice. The burrito was of good length and girth and it was a heavy one. At first it was still too hot to handle, so I let it cool down before chowing on it. At the first bite I knew it was good with soft tortillas and just a hint of beans/cheese. After the second bite with a bit more delish refried beans and oooey, gooey cheese I knew it was a great B&C burrito. Usually I eat 1/2 of good size burrito, but could not stop eating this one. This is one of the best B&C burritos in the San Clemente Tri-State Metropolitan Area. I will be coming back. I always try a bean and cheese burrito as my first choice when trying a new (for me) Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner. That's kind of BS in my book because with all the cops around here you think they'd be on top of that but hey, we don't have local police. Anyway that's why they only take cards but bring some money for the tip jar. No cash on premise I repeat no cash on premise hopefully this helps them from getting assaulted again. Ambiance is great I'm in my car and my pajamas I drive through I asked them for food they give it to me I come home and that's the best.

Pedro's reminds me of the earlier In n Out Burger establishments where you walk up and order and eat it on a bench or in your car. Simple, effective and delicious! Everyone knows Pedro's for their fresh food and happy employees. It's clean, too! Burritos average $5-$6 and are huge! Beautiful cuts of carne steak, chicken or their Egg and Steak burritos are large for our dollar. Fish tacos and fish burritos are also famous for being near the best you'll ever have. The boys from Camp Pendleton were not wrong.

Very slow for a not a busy night of just 2 tables including ours, but we were fine with it. One guy was working both the bar and serving all the tables. My family member left him a standard tip for standard service (15 percent and he is of the older generation and from a different country with different tipping culture), and doesn't even know the new tipping customs of the younger people of 18 to 20 percent. Ten minutes after we left, when we were going to the game room, the waiter approached our group and made a big embarrassing scene in the lobby, demanding to know what was wrong with his service, asking why the tip wasn't 18 to 20 percent like the receipt indicated, and saying things like "I just want to know." He was very aggressive, very confrontational and highly unprofessional. And he handled the situation loudly, publicly, and unprofessionally and scared our children with his rude, aggressive way of speaking. If management wants to speak to him, he had dark brown hair shaved underneath and longer on top, brown eyes, and had a safety pin styled earring in his ear. He was fine during the dinner and we didn't observe any rude behavior and left happy and impressed with the restaurant but aggressively chasing older guests down in front of family, young kids, and other hotel patrons is beyond inappropriate and should be looked into by management.

They had a nice dog friendly ground level area so we could bring our pup. We ordered their chicken tortilla soup, 1/2 pint of guac, and burrho de alambre! 10/10 for everything. The chicken tortilla soup as hearty and toasty, perfect for the cooler weather. The guac was exactly my style, not too salty, not too tart, and demolished in no time. My husband really enjoyed his burrito from the speiclas menu as well!

I have been jonesing for a good bean and cheese burrito for some time now. Over that time I have been very disappointed in the B&C burritos I have come upon. Some even from my trustworthy B&C places. This was my first B&C burrito from Chela's and was looking forward to their version. At the last minute, without warning, planning or any notice I ordered my bean and cheese burrito wet. I was feeling kinda wild! Also, I asked for some chips and salsa in the side. When it was rung up, the cost was quite high and it made me step back. So I did question the charge. I didn't realize that when I ordered chips and salsa the guy thought I meant another full order of large bag of chips and a pint of salsa, not the little bag and little cup you get with your order. A nice gal helped fix that and the order cost looked much more reasonable. Whew! Financial crisis averted. I sat down after getting my Diet Pepsi (won't hold it against them that they don't have Diet Coke). Soon after, I was brought a small bag of chips and some salsas. Get the chipotle and you will not be disappointed. Shortly after that my plate with a HUGE bean and cheese burrito with lots of sauce, cheese and a drizzle of sour cream. Check the pic out, it's a beauty. The taste did not disappoint. Great beans, ooey, gooey cheese inside and out. The wet sauce was great. I thought it would be a verde sauce, but it was red. Next time I will see if they have a verde version for me to try. Just a really great B&C wet burrito. Delicious. With the chips, I only ate half the massive burrito and am already looking forward to lunch tomorrow to eat the other half. I don't give out 5 stars to many places. They have to blow me away with food, service, consistency, on and on. Chelas is an order at the counter and they bring it to you kind of place. The people taking orders and bringing food are quite nice and always willing to see if you need anything. The food has been consistently very good. All wrapped up, it's one of my favorite places around. Great job.
