We've come to this place several times now for happy hour and for lunch and for brunch and everything has been really good. The service has been excellent. The atmosphere is very cool. It's a little bit pricey, but the food is delicious. We came here for dinner with three adults and two kids under 10 and the kids plates were excellent. The kids had tacos and really enjoyed it and then adults had several different items but you must try the bongo soup. It's the best we've ever had.!

Across the way from the San Clemente Outlet, you can hear great sounds of nature, people and most importantly music! Plenty of parking. Clean exterior and interior. We were seated right away! Chips and salsa placed on the table and I had to ask twice what he was saying compared to how elevate his voice was at other tables Waitress came to the table and offered rose options. Super personable! Took our orders and we waited for a bit. I noticed the limes I asked for were completely dry. Fun fact, the smoother the lime is, the juicer. If it's bumpy then expect the lime to be dry. Food arrived and from the wet burrito to the tacos... everything was ok. I noticed the tomato notes were actually throughout all the food we ate and I'm guessing that's their signature. Overall food was on

Hip Mexican food restaurant adjacent to the San Clemente outlets make this far and away the best choice for food when shopping here. Lots of TVs showing the opening games of the NHL playoff weekend. Portion sizes were big. The grilled steak in the signature carne asada was so tender and perfectly grilled.

After a day trip to San Diego, my wife and I made a quick pit stop here--and wow, what a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent, the menu had great variety, and the food quality really stood out. The Cabo Jerky and Ahi Agua Chile were absolute highlights--both dishes were packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. We've tried quite a few spots, and this one easily ranks among our favorites. Definitely a hidden gem that's well worth a visit! Also, thank you again, Augustin!

The food was incredible! everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The ahi tuna ceviche was perfect! Service was quick and friendly, and you can tell they really care about quality. Easily a 5 star experience. Agustin made sure we had everything we needed! We will definitely be coming back

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal, although it was slightly disappointing that the tostada was majority lettuce with not enough chicken. Friendly service team, very clean property. Large parking lot with free parking. Outlet mall is across the parking lot so this is a convenient stop for food. Nothing spectacular about this place but, it's cute and a bit upscale as far as Mexican restaurants.

Stopped in just looking for a quick midday snack and ordered the ala cart short rib taco to go. I love a crispy taco and this one had good overall flavor. The meat was a little dry but the sauce and toppings helped save it. The white cheese was solid and there was a green sauce on it that was really good. Honestly I wish there was more of that because it was the highlight. It didn't come with any extra salsa on the side but it was an ala carte taco, so that's fair. The place itself is really cool inside. Great atmosphere lots of energy a nice bar setup with TVs everywhere. It was packed on a Saturday which explains why this turned into a grab and go situation. Prices are a bit higher than other taco spots but you're clearly paying for the atmosphere as much as the food. Not the best taco I've ever had but definitely a solid stop and I'd come back especially if I can get extra of that green sauce next time.

Wonderful day to dine at Asada's at the outlet mall. We were seated outside and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Food is always delicious. I tried something new today the barbecue pork quesadillas. The servings are very generous. I basically have enough for three meals on this plate. Our server was on point and very courteous. The margaritas were especially refreshing.

Staff: We were very impressed by our sever Humberto. He was truly amazing. Excellent customer service, very attentive, and friendly. Major kudos to him. Quality/Quantity: Wowzer! The food here is absolutely delicious. I started off with one of their famous blood orange margaritas and it was so good. For lunch I got the steak burrito that was served wet and boy was it good. My group got the enchiladas which were described as the best she's ever had. Other guests in my party got the taquitos, tacos, and kids hamburger. Everyone was very happy with the food. Value: The pricing is a little high but the quality of the food supports it. Overall: I was totally digging this spot and will return again.

Asada Cantina is one of those places we truly love and always make a point to come back to whenever we're in the area. We've tried several items on the menu, and honestly, nothing has disappointed us so far. Everything has been consistently flavorful and well prepared. My favorite by far has to be the Asada plate--it's always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. This spot has definitely earned its place as a go-to for us, and we'll gladly keep coming back.

The atmosphere here might be the best part. The lighting is great, the outdoor seating is really well done, and the whole place feels upscale without the prices reflecting that. The chips are excellent. Thin, crispy, and paired with a red roasted salsa that is honestly outstanding. It comes out warm with a smoky flavor that works perfectly with the chips and is easily one of the best salsas I have had. The burrito was also very good. The green salsa really carries the flavor, and the presentation is on point. My only small critique is that the chicken in my double chicken burrito was slightly dry, but there are more than enough positives to outweigh that. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. This spot is perfect for a relaxed family dinner or a date night.

We are about 2.5 miles from the San Clemente Pier Station.

Are there a la carte options for tacos?

There are tacos on the starter menu. I believe tacos are only shown as a plate however last time we were there we asked our server for a single enchilada and they happily accommodated the request. I'm guessing they'd do the same for a taco.

Do you offer gluten free options? I noticed on your menu there are no allergen symbols. Also what kind of oil do you guys use for frying?

The overall vibe though tailored an older crowd and not so much people in their 20's. There were a lot of drink options but not a lot of of that sweet and fun that I prefer. It's more sophisticated cocktails. Some staff reminded me to not have my phone out when I was clearly taking a picture of the receipt for my friend and I and that was upsetting. The music mix was one of my favorite parts. They played a little bit of everything from A to Z, so there was something for everyone to enjoy, which is exactly what I look for in a bar. Peter made the drink and it is worthy of a spot on the menu. The Rattlesnake Milk was exactly what I came in looking for. Unprofessional host, blatant favoritism…read more BLUF: The host treated the bar like a house party -- saving seats and catering to his friends instead of paying guests. We went to Jane on Saturday, January 17th around 8:30-8:45 pm for a nightcap with a group of three. It was crowded, which was fine -- the service was not. The host (a man in his late 20s or early 30s with a buzz cut and mustache) had us put our name in but couldn't give even a rough wait estimate. He then told us there were open seats at the bar. As we walked toward them, he immediately went to his friends sitting nearby, and they jumped up and took the bar seats he had just told us were available. We waited 40 minutes and received a text that our "table for three" was ready -- only to be told when we returned that there was actually standing room only. When we again saw open bar seats, the same friends reappeared and claimed they were "saving them" because they'd gone out to smoke. The host backed them up. This felt less like a cocktail lounge and more like a place where the host plays bouncer for his friends. Prioritizing friends over paying guests, brushing people off, and mismanaging the waitlist is incredibly unprofessional. We left without ever being served. For a place that positions itself as a cocktail lounge, this kind of favoritism is unacceptable and disappointing.

Their website teases that food is coming soon. It is a fairly small place and I would definitely recommend making a reservation on Yelp. If there are no reservations available when you want to visit, they also have a Yelp live waitlist. The building has its own parking lot with about ten spaces and is shared with the sushi speakeasy upstairs. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday night, and luckily there were still quite a few spaces available. A half hour later, the place was packed. The outside of the building is not marked. Enter through the red double doors in front, walk to the right, and the entrance will be easy to spot. Seating options include eight seats at the bar, four high-top tables in the main area that seat four people each, and a slightly raised grotto area with one four-seat table and two two-seat tables. We often like to sit at the bar, but I reserved a table in the grotto so we could get the full experience and I'm glad I did. The interior has great décor with a mix of tiki and pirate ship elements. The walls are wooden plank, with cargo netting, ropes, and tiki lights above. The walls have portraits of Goonies movie characters. Take two steps up to the grotto area, and you are inside of a cave with skulls, shells, and treasures embedded in the cave walls. There is also a small waterfall in the corner. Scan the QR code on the table for the cocktail menu. It is colorful and many of the drinks have names tied to The Goonies. Each drink also has zero, one, or two skulls next to it to indicate the booziness factor. They have quite a few original cocktails as well as classic tiki drinks, a few mocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. I started out with the Ash Landing (Hamilton Pot Still Blonde Rum, Hamilton 86 Demerara Rum, Hamilton Pimento Dram, Angostura Bitters, Pineapple, Lime, Ginger, One Skull booziness, $14). This was definitely a little on the boozy side, with good ginger flavor and the pineapple and lime in the background. She started out with the One-Eyed Willy (Pou Vodka, Lychee, Guava, Coconut, Sweet & Sour, $15, keep the mug for $65). It is rare that a vodka drink is my favorite of the night, but this was both of our favorites. It was very balanced and juicy, and not boozy at all. The guava, coconut, and citrus from the sweet and sour were all there. We bought the mug, and they bring you a new one in original packaging. The purchased mug is colored a little differently (blue instead of black) than the mug the drink is served it, but it still looks great. While walking around taking pictures, I ran into our server and mentioned that it was my girlfriend's birthday. He kindly brought us some shots on the house. He said it was a recipe they had for shots during Halloween, and it tasted like a spin on a kamikaze. It was very good and much appreciated. I have a hard time resisting a cool mug, so for my second drink I ordered the Slick Shoes (Planteray Pineapple Rum, Worthy Park Rum, Bounty Dark Rum, Strawberry, Papaya, Lime Juice, $17). It is served in a cool sneaker mug with a flaming lime half on top. It was nicely balanced and just a tiny bit boozy. It had a nice light fruit flavor, not overly sweet at all. I think it is sometimes served in a regular glass, so if you order it, be sure to ask for the sneaker mug. Her second cocktail was the Never Say Die (Producer Mezcal, Kiwi, Lemon, Mango, Grilled Pineapple, $14). The smokiness of the mezcal was on the hairy edge of being too smoky for me, but she loved it. She could taste the kiwi and mango. We shared one last drink, the Garden of Eden (Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum, Lavender, Lemon, Elderflower, Cucumber Bitters, One Skull booziness, $17). It had an interesting (good) floral flavor profile, and didn't strike me as boozy at all. I could definitely taste the cucumber notes from the bitters. There was good 80s music playing in the background. It's a Goonies themed bar, I get it, but we would have enjoyed a few tiki songs in the mix too. There is one unisex restroom out in the lobby area. It is nice that they also themed it with wooden plank on the walls and ceiling, and some nautical décor. Daniel was our server and was very friendly and provided great service. Thanks again Daniel for the birthday shots! Bartender Felipe also delivered one round of our drinks and was also very friendly. All of the drinks were good and there are definitely more on the menu that we would like to return and try. We had a real fun time, thanks Lost Inferno!

Their wait stall is well trained and Charlotte our waitress did a superb job! And so did one of the managers named Chris ! The menu selection can't be beat ! We had a total of 42 in our party and everyone was very pleased! I had the coconut shrimp appetizer which I loved and my wife had the fish and chips! that she raved about! The Caesar salad was wonderful! and their hot crispy bread was the best ! We all enjoyed the amazing atmosphere and the whole restaurant was spotless! Customer service was fast and reliable to say the least! To serve 42 customers with such efficiency was truly amazing! Just come and enjoy everything about this special place and you will come back time and again! We talked to a couple that told us that they come every week and now I know why ! Now the best part ! Their signature mud pie for dessert is outstanding and don't miss it ! It's to die for! Can't say enough about this place! Promise you that you won't be disappointed! Gary Bain Lt Col USAF ret!

I will say the restaurant isn't full of sparkles and has a bit of an old fashion feel by the beach…read more Sitting outside by the pier would be the best option if you're able to. There is ample shade, great beach views with the waves running under the pier where you are sitting. There are plastic/glass dividers between tables to give you some privacy. Anywhere you sit gives you a great view. The walkway is rather tight the closer you sit by the water. The menu is so casual yet the clam chowder, grilled shrimp, and fish and chips were by far the best tasting seafood I've had in a while. Everything was so fresh. The fish and chips - the fish was fluffy and flaked apart. The batter on it was light tasting and crunchy. The shrimp cocktail we got was gross. The shrimp had this bland taste to it. I think the batch of shrimp wasn't great with how it was blanched. We added horseradish to the cocktail sauce to add more seasoning to it. The oysters were also gross. There were so many little chips of the shell in the oysters. It just wasn't very good and I was worried if it was fresh enough. Cocktails felt premixed. Wide selection of wine and beer. Other than that, it's so worth coming here for the hot seafood and views. Service was decent. Restrooms are across the way by the bar area. We parked near the beach parking lot and had to walk to the restaurant. There are steep hills so have some good shoes for this!
