One of Jane's amazing craft cocktails

Definitely no plain Jane! Jane bar has a chic and cool atmosphere with soft lighting and hand crafted cocktails. Jane has a speakeasy vibe, with soft lighting, muted wall finishes and elegant decor, yet still evokes an inviting ambiance. Jane also offers snacks and light bites that are hearty enough for a meal. Great for drinks with friends or a cool date option.

A beautiful space for drinks, food, and even engagement photos! We drove all the way from San Diego to take our photos here and were beyond impressed. The cocktails were top notch - so many fun, inventive ingredients. Servers were so nice and laid back. We will definitely be making the trek to come back for food and a making a weekend trip of it!

First time here. We came for date night on a Thursday rainy evening. The vibe is chill and dark. The service was great. Our server suggested to first choose a signature cocktail as it was our first time here. We enjoyed the drinks and service here, although we didn't try the food, there were some interesting menu items available to try.

Came here for cocktails before a dinner reservation. We had made reservations for 5pm, right when they open, and sat at the bar. The vibe gives off a speakeasy vibe without being a hidden cocktail lounge. I ordered a drink off the menu, while my husband let the mixologist make him something based off his preferences. We both loved our drinks, so we ordered another round and some fries. This time I let the mixologist make something for me... I told him I like gin, fruit, but not too sweet. What he brought me was like a rainbow sherbet cocktail and AMAZING! We will definitely be back to enjoy some more fun cocktails!

What a fabulous find! The bar isn't very big (with a few seats outdoors in front); we were fortunate to sit at the bar top where the bartenders are all personable, professional, and creative (special thanks to Kane's attentiveness, making us feel welcomed and valued). In addition to (at the time of our visit) 5 beer and 5 wine options, they have quite a spirits collection, their barrel select old fashioned (with an option for a smoked cocktail), and (again, at the time of our visit) 8 of their interestingly creative cocktail options. Then, there's the Calamity Jane adventure, in which one can select their spirit plus other preferences (e.g. spicy, smokey, spirit forward, herbaceous, etc.), allowing the bartenders to create a special cocktail for you; what's fun is 2 people may check the same boxes off their card and both would receive completely different cocktails! Limited but attractive food menu. We enjoyed the Beef Tallow Fries (with smokey aioli), $12, and (with the help of the bartenders) chose the Gochujang Ice Cream Sandwich, $11. NOTE: FOOD IS NOT SERVED ON SUNDAYS. We're eager to return to experience their Whiskey Wednesday and their Jeudi a Jane (choose any martini, with choice of a select food item). There's a conflict on their hours: * Their website states that they are closed Sundays and Mondays; * Yelp shows that they are closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays; * Their menu states (which we've confirmed) they are now open at 3 P.M. on Sundays.

When my son was in town we decided to visit Jane for a cocktail and we're glad we did. From the street the bar had a nice, convivial crowd and seemed like an inviting, somewhat intimate, place to spend some time. My son ordered a Number 2: "Sparkling, Crushable, Pleasantly Earthy" (mezcal, jasmine tea, blood orange, pasilla and sage with carbonation) and my wife and I, feeling somewhat tired after a long day, ordered a Number 7 "If Lemon Custard Pie were a Cocktail" (vodka, graham cracker, lemon oleo saccharum, brown butter, cynar and cream). Both drinks were excellent: inventive, nice merging of ingredients, with a bit of a kick. The bartender was friendly and made the drinks with the flair and panache that's great to see at a cocktail bar. I'll visit again for sure to try some of their other drinks.

If you're into craft cocktails, then you must come here. Excellent service and delicious drinks. Reservations are recommended since the place is small and can get busy. The place is dimly lit and felt cozy. If there was something I'd change, I wish there were more drinks to choose from.

Fantastic spot for a delicious drink! The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. If nothing on the menu catches your eye, don't hesitate to ask the bartender...they're more than happy to craft a custom cocktail just for you!

Amazing cocktails and super cute ambience. A bit small but cozy. The old fashioned and the fries are too good! Service is really good!

The environment is intimate and gives you ability to interact with the band and all be a part of an experience, which reminds me more of a place I might find in Paris or London. Sweet bartenders and Andrea who greeted us and showed us to our seat and was wonderful too! My friend and I greatly appreciated the attention to detail in the beautiful decorating that created a relaxing and plush ambiance. Comfy bar stools too. They do have a "nosh bowl" if you need a little snack, but I didn't try it. We had already read the rules, so we expected to come nicely dressed and planned not to use our cell. But if you do need to, they just request that you go into the hallway or restroom, so as not to bother anyone else's experience.

We loved the hostess who made the whole thing feel so lucrative and she even took some photos of us in the waiting room before we had to put our phones away for inside. We had made reservations ahead of time but they placed us at the bar which was a bummer because there were definitely still tables available. Inside is cool with eccentric decor. The overall vibe though tailored an older crowd and not so much people in their 20's. There were a lot of drink options but not a lot of of that sweet and fun that I prefer. It's more sophisticated cocktails. Some staff reminded me to not have my phone out when I was clearly taking a picture of the receipt for my friend and I and that was upsetting. How do you expect me to remember prices and what we ordered lol Also there is no snacks other than like nuts and cheeses.

We were seated right away, we were sat upstairs in the patio area which was very nice. Our server Mason was very attentive and right away brought us some water and took our drink order. We started with a couple of appetizers first we got the lamb lilipops they are sold by the piece so we ordered 3 and we also got the chorizo clams . To tell you that both of these were absolutely delicious! The lamb had this delicious Chimichurri sauce that you don't want to leave any of it on the plate because it's so flavorful. The clams were also so tasty with the chorizo and all of the different flavors in the broth. It came with two pieces of toast and I which it came with more so we could soak up all of the broth. Then we moved on to our main entree I went with the fillet mignon and my husband went with a Snake River Wagyu Denver steak and for our sides we went with roasted broccolini and potato au gratin with truffle oil. Both of our steaks were delicious and the sides were just the perfect combination to go with it. I can forget to mention that we also got a few cocktails and they were also good. We closed our dinner with a delicious and light crème brûlée. We left wanting to already come back and celebrate something else. Service was phenomenal both by Mason our server and Nathan ( I think that's was his name.) everyone else. It was a great anniversary dinner.

The food was decent, but honestly not nearly as amazing as we had expected based on the reviews. Don't waste your time on the asparagus or plain whipped potatoes, they were terrible the server raved about the Denver Wagyu and it was so hard to chew for being medium rare! The much bigger issue was what happened afterward--both of us became extremely sick after eating here. It completely ruined our evening and left us questioning the food quality and safety. We rarely leave negative reviews, but we feel it's important to share our experience so others are aware. We truly wanted to love this place, but we won't be returning.

Their website teases that food is coming soon. It is a fairly small place and I would definitely recommend making a reservation on Yelp. If there are no reservations available when you want to visit, they also have a Yelp live waitlist. The building has its own parking lot with about ten spaces and is shared with the sushi speakeasy upstairs. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday night, and luckily there were still quite a few spaces available. A half hour later, the place was packed. The outside of the building is not marked. Enter through the red double doors in front, walk to the right, and the entrance will be easy to spot. Seating options include eight seats at the bar, four high-top tables in the main area that seat four people each, and a slightly raised grotto area with one four-seat table and two two-seat tables. We often like to sit at the bar, but I reserved a table in the grotto so we could get the full experience and I'm glad I did. The interior has great décor with a mix of tiki and pirate ship elements. The walls are wooden plank, with cargo netting, ropes, and tiki lights above. The walls have portraits of Goonies movie characters. Take two steps up to the grotto area, and you are inside of a cave with skulls, shells, and treasures embedded in the cave walls. There is also a small waterfall in the corner. Scan the QR code on the table for the cocktail menu. It is colorful and many of the drinks have names tied to The Goonies. Each drink also has zero, one, or two skulls next to it to indicate the booziness factor. They have quite a few original cocktails as well as classic tiki drinks, a few mocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. I started out with the Ash Landing (Hamilton Pot Still Blonde Rum, Hamilton 86 Demerara Rum, Hamilton Pimento Dram, Angostura Bitters, Pineapple, Lime, Ginger, One Skull booziness, $14). This was definitely a little on the boozy side, with good ginger flavor and the pineapple and lime in the background. She started out with the One-Eyed Willy (Pou Vodka, Lychee, Guava, Coconut, Sweet & Sour, $15, keep the mug for $65). It is rare that a vodka drink is my favorite of the night, but this was both of our favorites. It was very balanced and juicy, and not boozy at all. The guava, coconut, and citrus from the sweet and sour were all there. We bought the mug, and they bring you a new one in original packaging. The purchased mug is colored a little differently (blue instead of black) than the mug the drink is served it, but it still looks great. While walking around taking pictures, I ran into our server and mentioned that it was my girlfriend's birthday. He kindly brought us some shots on the house. He said it was a recipe they had for shots during Halloween, and it tasted like a spin on a kamikaze. It was very good and much appreciated. I have a hard time resisting a cool mug, so for my second drink I ordered the Slick Shoes (Planteray Pineapple Rum, Worthy Park Rum, Bounty Dark Rum, Strawberry, Papaya, Lime Juice, $17). It is served in a cool sneaker mug with a flaming lime half on top. It was nicely balanced and just a tiny bit boozy. It had a nice light fruit flavor, not overly sweet at all. I think it is sometimes served in a regular glass, so if you order it, be sure to ask for the sneaker mug. Her second cocktail was the Never Say Die (Producer Mezcal, Kiwi, Lemon, Mango, Grilled Pineapple, $14). The smokiness of the mezcal was on the hairy edge of being too smoky for me, but she loved it. She could taste the kiwi and mango. We shared one last drink, the Garden of Eden (Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum, Lavender, Lemon, Elderflower, Cucumber Bitters, One Skull booziness, $17). It had an interesting (good) floral flavor profile, and didn't strike me as boozy at all. I could definitely taste the cucumber notes from the bitters. There was good 80s music playing in the background. It's a Goonies themed bar, I get it, but we would have enjoyed a few tiki songs in the mix too. There is one unisex restroom out in the lobby area. It is nice that they also themed it with wooden plank on the walls and ceiling, and some nautical décor. Daniel was our server and was very friendly and provided great service. Thanks again Daniel for the birthday shots! Bartender Felipe also delivered one round of our drinks and was also very friendly. All of the drinks were good and there are definitely more on the menu that we would like to return and try. We had a real fun time, thanks Lost Inferno!

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

Anywhere you sit gives you a great view. The walkway is rather tight the closer you sit by the water. The menu is so casual yet the clam chowder, grilled shrimp, and fish and chips were by far the best tasting seafood I've had in a while. Everything was so fresh. The fish and chips - the fish was fluffy and flaked apart. The batter on it was light tasting and crunchy. The shrimp cocktail we got was gross. The shrimp had this bland taste to it. I think the batch of shrimp wasn't great with how it was blanched. We added horseradish to the cocktail sauce to add more seasoning to it. The oysters were also gross. There were so many little chips of the shell in the oysters. It just wasn't very good and I was worried if it was fresh enough. Cocktails felt premixed. Wide selection of wine and beer. Other than that, it's so worth coming here for the hot seafood and views. Service was decent. Restrooms are across the way by the bar area. We parked near the beach parking lot and had to walk to the restaurant. There are steep hills so have some good shoes for this!
