We finally made it for their Sunday prime rib and it was worth the wait. Normally, my issue with prime rib is often the fat isn't rendered enough or you have to cut around hunks of fat, but the butchery on this one made it so easy to separate the meat and the fat and was a perfect cook temperature. It came with some sautéed greens, a rustic mash, a little jus and horseradish sauce (which I prefer to be much punchier but was still good on the plate) We also started off with the chicken wings which are hands down the best I've ever tasted, along with the caprese. We order these two each visit. Service is always with a smile, drinks flowed nicely and water is stays topped up. As busy as it gets in the front dining section, we find the acoustics are good, and have no trouble chatting throughout the meal.
Love this place! We had excellent service, I wish I remembered what our server's name was. She was so sweet.!! The food was so good! We sat on the patio... The ambience was great... Service was great...! We had the heirloom cherry tomato burrata for appetizer and shared the beef short rib tagliatelle.. so good! One of my cousins had the pepperoni pizza, it was delicious as well.. i'm Italian so for me to say this place was good means a lot!
This is my favorite place in San Clemente! The pizza is so good, we love the fennel sausage one! The calamari is also crispy and delicious and the bread and butter basket is really really good. I tried the pasta for the first time and it was definitely good, but I do prefer the pizza. Service is always so nice especially Hunter at the bar. It can get quite busy so either make a reservation or get there early. Or sit at the bar like we do!
Pretty much every Sunday for their prime rib! Delicious. We usually start with a salad such as the Caesar. Love the heavy dusting of Parmesan cheese on top and the fried capers. Just add a little twist to it. Plenty to share between 2 to 3 people. We also share the prime rib. It comes with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. I always find the roasted vegetables a little bit salty for my liking, but they are still delicious. The prime rib , cook, medium rare and well seasoned. It comes with au jus and horseradish cream sauce. Service is always friendly and efficient. Cool vibes inside usually there's some sports going on in the bar area. We also do love the pizzas and the chicken Parm, which is a great value street parking and some municipal lot nearby.
San Clemente: Lovely and lively, The Parlor replaced Brick restaurant and a nice replacement it is. Fabulous service from start to finish. Very attentive without being intrusive. Ordered were a Pepperoni pizza and the Margherita pizza. Margherita is always too bland for me no matter where I have it. I have to go for pepperoni always on my pizza, and it was tasty. I would've added mushrooms, but it wasn't my turn. Nice crust, flavorful, very thin Woodfired pizza. Just a note-share and eat it there. Too floppy for leftovers. My preference. Tagliatelle Bolognese was upscale flavor with the right spice and totally 100% agreed with my taste buds. I am a fan of thinner pasta, but this is how it's done at Parlor. Funny, it was extremely long strands of pasta so have your knife ready. Unlike the pizza, it made great leftovers, and I thought it tasted even better the next day. So I don't recommend sharing it. Ha! Make reservations, find parking or take the trolley when it's running.
Another great meal at Parlor. I came with reservations and seated right away. I tried their chicken parmesan this time around, and was very pleased with it. The homemade pasta was delicious and the chicken was cooked perfectly and a generous portion too. Only thing I didn't care for was the lump of parsley on top. Parsley is one of the worst tasting herbs by itself, incredibly strong flavor and I thought it was unnecessary on top of this dish. Also ordered the hawaiian and margherita pizzas which were both hits. I absolutely love their sourdough crust, they should make a side of dipping sauces to eat with the crust.
The food was great as was the service. They are super attentive. We made a reservation, highly recommended, and we were sat down right as I checked in. Almost like the table was waiting for us. We sat down, ordered and the food came pretty quick. I had the Caesar salad with shrimp and we also ordered a cheese pizza. My husband had the roasted chicken and my son had the Tagliatelle Bolognese. All dishes were great. The chicken comes with potatoes and roasted cauliflower which was so yummy. I especially liked all the Parmesan cheese on the Caesar. My daughter didn't care for it too much as she didn't like the anchovies. The restaurant is very nice, a bit nosy but full of great atmosphere. They also have a variety of mocktails.

I called ahead and ordered dinner and the girl who took my order was great. When I arrived, there was no street parking so I parked in the alley and Joe brought my food out. He's so sweet and HOT!! The rotisserie chicken is tasty and generous for a half of a chicken. I enjoyed the small pieces of cauliflower and fingerling potatoes. Bf loved his shrimp scampi pasta and he's so fulllll
I met up with a bunch of my friends here and we shared some things family-style. I thought the food was really tasty! Caesar salad was great and so was the pizza. I didn't really care for the chicken parmesan that much, but that's not a dish I would normally choose to order for myself anyway (too heavy, and I don't like that the chicken doesn't stay crispy) so that's just a personal thing. The ambiance is lovely! And I remember thinking they had a great happy hour menu, even if we didn't end up ordering much from the HH selection on this visit. I would definitely come back for happy hour if I ever visited San Clemente again (it's beautiful here)!
Parlor has been on my San Clemente list for 2 years. And now that we've lived here for 4 1/2 months we were due for a visit. We picked my birthday of all nights! Our waitress name was Claire and we hit the jackpot. So personable, friendly and made the night super special. We also met the manager/operator Joe. He made us feel like we were weekly locals and welcomed us with open arms! We want to come back ASAP just to see Claire and Joe again! Special people. The food, OMG this place is such a gem. We started with the Herloom Tomato Burrata appetizer which was very good. This fresh tomatoes (which needed a pinch more of some crunchy sea salt) with a light pesto, micro greens and burrata. Perfect combo eating bites with the grilled sourdough they bring along side. If you have Claire she'll bring you fresh butter and hot honey. Pro tip!!! This combo is undefeatable. And the wings. They are all half flats, extra crispy in a spicy and sweet sauce. Very very yummy. That blue cheese needs a little thickening but besides that, FIRE! Next we got the Organic Arugula salad with hazelnuts, shaved pecorino and mint. Damn this salad was sleeper hit. Eat it with your pizza, the richness needs something to cut through it, this salad! We got the wild mushroom Pizza which Claire recommended, which ABSOLUTELY blew me away. So perfect crispy yet perfectly chewy at the same time. I think this is my new fav pizza in all of OC. Lucky me I live 1.7 miles away. OMG ya'll this pizza is worth a 2 hour drive to get here! To end the meal for my birthday they surprised us with a Panna Cotta. Beautiful like a perfect creme bruele in a latte cup topped with a nut sort of crumble and a mint leaf. PERFECT ending to an absolutely perfect meal. 2nd visit to the speakeasy and enjoyed it a lot. Secret password is "Joe." He's the owner. It's a cool hidden spot behind and below the kitchen area. It's dark and cozy with a small but fully stocked bar and a separate private room with a pool table and big screen TV. The drinks are delicious as well as any of the food you can order from the restaurant above. read more
We came on a Saturday night for an early dinner. The restaurant just opened and we were one of the first people there. We ended up sitting at the bar and are bartender was very friendly. I was in the mood for a good Espresso Martini. The drink was delicious but strong. My husband and I decided on sharing a BBQ Chicken Pizza ( at the suggestion of our server) and the Chicken wings. The pizza was so good, it had just the right amount of BBQ sauce. While we liked the chicken wings, there wasn't enough meat on them. I finally made my way back over here after a great experience the first time, and we loved it just as much! For starters, we had the Burrata & Heirloom Tomatoes. This was good to share amongst 2-3 people. The Bolognese was a good pasta choice. The noodles tasted super fresh. For pizza, we loved the Truffle Roasted Mushroom! This had a ton of flavor with the truffle and garlic. For cocktails, my favorite is the Less Thinking More Drinking! It's so well balanced with the lavender and Yuzu. read more

The food was so good! I loved the Ceasar salad and bread appetizers. I got the burrata pizza and my boyfriend got the prime rib. He loved his, and mine was pretty good! There was a family sitting next to us and boxing us in basically, which wasn't great, but what was really upsetting is how rude they were. Not the restaurant's fault but it was tough watching them make the staff feel uncomfortable. Overall, a great spot to go for a nice meal, as long as you're not stuck in a corner with that family. read more

Creamy Burrata & Heirloom Tomatoes 10/10 It was creamy, goodness, heaven!! Must love tomatoes to enjoy this appetizer. I also really love pesto. The pesto-like sauce with the tomatoes and cheese was great! I'm calling it a pesto sauce, because it reminded me of that, it may not be pesto though. After doing some investigating, it is not pesto after all lol It is a pistachio pesto though! I wasn't too far off actually lol Such a nice combination. It was smooth and light. The ingredients were super fresh! The sweet basil sprouts gave it an earthy feel. I think the garlic confit complimented the dish and helped bring it all together rather nicely. I am a fan of this starter! I could eat that all day, every day lol It's so tasty and fresh. I love how all the flavors come together and create this smooth and non-heavy appetizer. Man, this was not at all what I was expecting, but it was absolutely stellar. The heart of san clemente is inundated with fast casual, patio dining. This is a nice switch up that is a bit more elevated, but not stuffy. Still casual enough for some tvs above the bar to watch the game, but some moody lighting, and intimate seating makes it a solid spot for date night. When I saw wood fired I assumed it would be light fluffy pies. Nope, this is honestly very new yorky pizza. Thin, with solid crisp, next to no flop! Bbq chicken was superb. Tangy bbq sauce with big chunks of smoked chicken. A bit of spunk from the cilantro. The grilled sourdough is superb. Salted butter with light, airy sourdough with wonderful char. Service was 10/10 as well. I was downing water after being at the beach all day, without question my server brought me an extra water cup so I could stay hydrated, lol In any case, one of the best dinners I had during my time in SC! read more

I came here with my family and grandmother last night, and wanted to give a shoutout to our server--I believe she said her name was Claire, (it was a bit noisy which is why I'm not 100% certain) and we were sat in the back room area near a large party. We never receive bad service here, but Claire's talents and personality shined through what was clearly a busy weekend evening. She was incredibly skilled, and also genuinely kind. We appreciated her so much, I felt her thoughtfulness deserved a review of its own. Thank you, Claire! Your dessert recommendation was especially appreciated, as it was one we had been considering ordering but rarely save room for--you turned a casual evening out into a memorable dinner for us. :) read more
We came to Parlor for my son's 23rd bday. He wanted a pizza feast and that's exactly what he got! The food was amazing - pizzas and appetizers were all fresh and made with such care and amazingly flavorful. The staff were so friendly and really did seem to love what they were doing - from Alayna, our server, to the hostess and the guys behind the counter making magic! When you read that their sourdough starter for their pizza crust was started 31 years ago, that's all it takes to come and try it out! Crisp with a slight crunch on their crust, it's light, not greasy, premium ingredients, friendly service, great selections of entrees, full bar, and great atmosphere. Try the Caesar, it's a tasty accompaniment with your pizza. My only wish, that more mozzarella was put on my pizza- not a deal breaker tho! read more
It's been almost a year since it's opened and I can happily say it's gotten even better!!! Caesar with fried capers is the only way to do a Caesar. Awesome Meat lovers pizza. Great crust great sauce. Generous meat serving. Bar and bartenders are phenomenal. 5 star drinks 5 star service. read more

Parlor is such a cute spot in San Clemente. I was so excited to try for a date night. The services was excellent and kind. I had even forgot my left overs and they gave me a call and I was able to come right back and get them. I had the bronze cut rigatoni, and it honestly was not my favourite, though the meatball appetisers were great. I'm excited to give this place another shot and order something different. read more
The ambiance here is amazing. Tons of seats throughout the restaurant. Everyone around was enjoying a pizza, which looked delicious. Ordered the Shrimp Scampi Bucatini, the prawns were huge and the sauce and noodles were divine! A must try! The Half rotisserie chicken was juicy and the sauce had great flavor. Bartender was really friendly and had great suggestions and made some yummy cocktails. Overall service from everyone working there was fantastic. Went to Parlor for the first time to celebrate my birthday with a few girlfriends. We had a table full of various dishes. We had pasta, pizza, salad, appetizers and their wine selection was delicious! Hard to pick a favorite because it was all that good! The servers were warm and friendly and the owner/managing partner Joe went above and beyond to make our night special. We will definitely be back. Absolutely love it. Thank you Parlor!! read more
