First time eating at Glasspar, and it was delicious. I loved the Glasspar Benedict. I had it with a crab cake, which was also delicious. The flavors were on point. One of the best crab cakes I've had in a really long time. The hollandaise sauce was good too, very creamy. Well balanced. The Aperol Spritz was so refreshing; it took me back to Italy. The Glasspar Margarita was also refreshingly good. Definitely worth going. Glasspar's address is 24961 Dana Point Harbor Dr., Dana Point, CA 92629.

Happy hour on a weekend? Say less. Perfect place for happy hour. The cocktail and food were very tasty!

Our first time here. Would definitely give a 4.5, great service by Kristen in the restaurant. I had the scallops and my husband had the fish and chips. Not huge portions but filling and very tasty. The scallops are a bit deconstructed but the sauce was good and they were cooked perfectly. Very nice wine selection. Also the restaurant is not loud, an issue with so many today. We definitely will come back for their flight night. By the scallops were much better tasting then the photo portraits.

Ambiance and service is very good. Food is mediocre. The clam chowder was quite bland. Not exactly New England chowder, but more of a non-clammy potato chowder. The cod was equally bland, but the sauce was very spicy. The lobster rolls are very small. More like a small dinner roll with a few small bits of lobster. Oysters Rockefeller. Not exactly the chopped/stuffed shell variety. A whole oyster packed with stuffing and baked. The special for the evening was sea bass on risotto. This was the star of the show. Great risotto with mushrooms. Overall the dishes were 4/10, but our server was very good 9/10.

Glasspar is a solid place to come for seafood. Me and my dining companions all ordered fish as our entrees. The fish was perfectly prepared, not overcooked, and the presentation was very nice. Prices are on the high side ($40 for fish entrees), but they all come with veggies and some sort of carb (udon, rice, glass noodles). We sat in the outdoor patio, which was pretty spacious. If you come during Happy Hour, they will ask if you are partaking in the HH menu and seat you accordingly. (The HH side was a little noisy, thanks to a large boisterous group. If you're looking for a more quiet meal, don't sit on that side). I don't recall seeing it on the menu, but there is an additional fee if you use a credit card. Parking in the lot.

We had some very nice small plates including the charred octopus, crudo scallops & hamachi. A dozen oysters. Favorite was the octopus with excellent sauce garnishes. Pretty !! Next best was hamachi crudo with mango vinaigrette, actually equally good. The oysters were standard, shelled well, fresh and sweet. Would like a horseradish garnish sauce/ garnish & Tabasco Sauce please. The scallop crudo was fresh but the citrus sauce did not complement well. Just a matter of taste. Beautiful ambiance. Our service was excellent, friendly not smothering.

Stopped in for a quick beer and oysters. Tried the oysters from Virginia and Washington. Enjoyed the Sting Ray Oysters more. The Glasspar beer was refreshing and light. Great service.

If you're hankering for a great seafood spot, Glasspar delivers. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered the octopus appetizer as my entree--and wow. It was incredibly tender, not rubbery at all, and surprisingly filling (my husband had to help me finish it!). The shrimp cocktail was fresh and flavorful, and the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. Bonus: they give free ice cream sundaes to kids on Sundays! Highly recommend.

Review for Happy Hour. My husband and I decided to try Glasspar for happy hour. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a nice outdoor patio with a fire pit. Our server, Luca, was amazing. He recommended the rose, which I might add was an excellent choice. My husband had the Hazy IPA. We opted for appetizers which included birria tacos, clam chowder, lobster bisque and the sourdough loaf. Everything was delicious. I predict Glasspar will be one of our go to restaurants. I can't wait to come back for dinner.

Went to Glasspar on NYE. What a beautiful space! We think it's one of the best restaurants in the Dana Point area. My husband had the lobster roll and I had the sea bass. All were excellent! Service was great even on NYE. It was a great place to celebrate the holiday!

Great inside and outside seating options. The oysters were fabulous, and the drinks were delicious. You may have to wait a bit to be served at the bar. I'd like to try dinner there. Soon!

They're also introducing a late-night happy hour with food and live music, which is a great way to enjoy a sophisticated drink when most restaurants have closed in the area. I had heard through social media and reviews that this place has the best lobster roll in Orange…read moreCounty and once again I find all the hype to be inaccurate. The menu looks great, offering what looks to be delicious seafood. And I imagine that they offer great seafood. , just not in the form of a lobster roll. I was born and raised in New England and I know what a Maine style lobster roll is. What they offer here is nothing like a Maine style lobster roll and honestly, it tasted gross.. The iconic Maine lobster roll is made from simple ingredients, It is the perfect combination of mounds of lobster , mayonnaise, and lemon juice maybe a little salt.. served chilled in a toasted bun. Sometimes you get minced celery . What was served to me at Hook and Anchor was a lobster roll served in a brioche bun, and when I looked at it, it looked like it had hot cheese on top of it. But that wasn't cheese.. That was hot garlic mayonnaise, or aoili. I had to eat it with a knife of fork, and the overwhelming flavor is garlic. That's too bad because lobster has a delicate flavor and overpowering it with hot garlic, mayonnaise , it just was not very good It was bad. Again a lobster roll is served cold and that it was hot made it worse. If this is what you serve please don't say it's a Maine style lobster because it absolutely is not. However, we did split a clam chowder and that was delicious so my guess is that they have items on the menu that are good and I probably will go back to try their other entrees But please don't tell people that this is a Maine style lobster roll. And lastly, there is another classic style of lobster., I think that's considered New York, and that is warm a lobster with melted butter, drizzled all through it that I think does have minced celery . This style of lobster roll is decadent and delicious. And I don't understand how people who review lobster rolls on TikTok and Instagram somehow in Orange County don't know what a classic Maine lobster roll is

Fernando went above and beyond to make sure our experience was 5 star. The rest of the team was always around making sure we had all we needed as well. When the sun set and the breeze got cooler we were offered warm blankets. So back to what we went for, the food right. Tuna tartare was excellent. Guacamole was good but I didn't like the cracker things that came with it and used the chips that came with the tartare instead. Oysters and caesar salad were fresh. Surf & turf tacos were delicious. Crab cake was good, sauce has a little spice to it. The desserts were scrumptious, the churro's were a favorite out of the 4 we had. So fresh and crispy but perfect on the inside, with fresh made caramel and chocolate to dip. My birthday chocolate cake was so good. Our cocktails were well made. We picked it because we've driven past it forever and it always seemed like one of those solid local spots. Saturday night, special occasion, figured it was a safe choice. It ended up being one of the more disappointing dinners we've had in a while. Prices are high across the menu, which would be fine if the food matched, but it really didn't. Nothing was awful, just very average for what they charge. The kind of meal where you keep waiting for something to justify the price and it never does. Service was also strange the whole night. We put in the reservation notes and even called ahead to say we were celebrating a birthday, and when we got there nobody mentioned it at all. My girlfriend went up to the host stand to check on it and got a scoff and a very confused response like she was asking for something unusual? High schoolers can be great employees but need genuine training. Our waiter didn't seem rude exactly, just very low effort. A lot of mumbling, short answers, not really paying attention even though the restaurant wasn't busy. At one point we ordered a Sprite and a sparkling water, and when the drinks came out we asked which was which. He told us to taste them and figure it out, which kind of summed up the level of service the whole night. The birthday dessert finally came out right after we paid the bill, right before we were about to leave, like someone remembered at the last second. Overall it just felt like a place that isn't trying very hard anymore. You can't charge those prices, have a half-empty dining room on a Saturday, and give that level of food and service and expect people not to notice. Sad it did not live up to its lore. Food was maybe a 5/10 Service around a 3/10 Overall experience probably a 4/10 Not the worst restaurant ever, but definitely not somewhere I'd go back to, and not somewhere I'd recommend if you're looking for a nice dinner in Dana Point. I have told many people not to go there.

I want to start this review off by saying THANK YOU to Blake, Kelly and all the Craft House staff…read morethat had a hand in our wedding reception!! It was truly such a beautiful night that went off without a hitch. Because of YOU GUYS. Beginning of Planning: My husband and I were on the hunt for the perfect "alternative" space to a traditional wedding venue due to time constraints of planning a wedding in 4 months and also budgetary constraints (not willing to sell our souls for a 40k wedding in South OC). I came across Craft House on Yelp (another beautiful couple held their wedding there) and knew the space would be perfect. I emailed for a week or two with Kelly before deciding to see the space in person. Late November/early December we met with Blake to show us the space. We knew it was the place for us when we were explaining to Blake our overall goal we were trying to accomplish: We wanted to throw a nice dinner and dance party for the people we love the most to celebrate the love we share. And we wanted to do it our way. Blake's response: We can do it all. No constraints. Basically no "rules", do it your way. We immediately put a hold on the space for our wedding date. December-March: Kelly was the perfect person to connect with and kindly answered all the questions that come along with planning a wedding. She was efficient with answering emails and following up with us (I'm type B, I love a follow up). We went to eat at Craft House a few times during these months and we able to figure out what we loved the best on the menu and each experience was fantastic. 10/10 drinks, food, and service. March: We started finalizing all the little details, food and drink menu, decorations, table arrangements, day of timeline. It was easy, efficient and there was a confidence from both Blake and Kelly that made us feel extremely confident and grateful to have our reception at Craft House. Wedding Week/Day of: Blake kindly allowed us to bring a load of decorations the day before the wedding to help the set up efforts on wedding day. We dropped off boxes of candles with a bartender (possibly a manager) the night before and he was extremely sweet and helpful by carrying boxes inside for us. The day of the wedding, our DJ and friend who was helping with set up were able to go in a few hours before. When we walked into the reception for the first time, we were blown away! I was in true awe at the space. It was exactly how we envisioned. The beautiful wood interior and 3/4 walls of windows with plants inside and outside made it feel like we were in a green house. I was met with a drink in my hand immediately from the bartenders and I was never without a drink (they would find me every time my drink was empty and give me a new one... THAT'S TOP TIER SERVICE). We ate, we drank and we partied with the people we love the most, exactly how we wanted. Things you should know: Particulars- We had about 90 guests, 4 vendor meals and had the private space from 12 PM (set up time) to 10:30PM. Price- THE BEST DEAL YOU CAN GET. Rental for the space, food and open bar(!!!) all bundled into a great price. Best bang for your buck. Price included gratuity and a small percentage for service fee. UNBEATABLE. Service- As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for many years (and close friends who are bartenders and servers)... we all agreed that the service was top tier. One of the biggest stand outs for me was the smiles on all of their faces during our reception. There is nothing better than seeing employees genuinely smile while they are working. It really makes the whole atmosphere a million times better. Some videos that we got at the end of the night, you can see the bartenders dancing while serving guests, it made my heart happy to know that there was some enjoyment while working their butts off for us. Thank you all so much!! We enjoyed ourselves and so did all of our guests. The next day people were stunned that we had been at a restaurant and not a wedding venue. This review is well deserved. *Pictures to come!
