Wow! What a gem!! My boyfriend and I discovered Glasspar spontaneously on a Saturday late afternoon while we were taking the trolley and enjoying the breezy free ride down the coast. We happened to stop nearby and decided to look around this plaza. We were starting to get hungry and Glasspar looks like the most appealing option so we decided to check it out. HAPPY HOUR: Mon-Thurs 4:30-6pm, Fri-Sat 4-6pm. Wow what a deal. I normally don't think about happy hour deals on Saturdays but we were pleasantly surprised. It was 5:30pm already so we had to make some quick decisions. Chad was very friendly and helpful with our order. We decided to get a Dozen and a Half Oysters (HH $3/each), an Oyster Shooter (HH $5), Duck Fat French Fries (HH $7), 1/2 lb Steamed Clams (HH $13), and Seafood Poke (HH $12). The specialty cocktails were such a good deal I wanted 2 but asked my boyfriend to order one so I don't look like too much of an alcoholic. I had the White Sangria Spritzer (HH $12) and a G3 (HH $12). Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time and Chad communicated checking on things for us as we were waiting. He was really on top of it. The oysters were awesome! My only regret was not ordering more. For the dozen and a half came with 6 of each of Baracats, Stingrays, and Pacific Plumps. I thought the baracats and stringrays were mild. My favorite was definitely the pacific plumps; it was sweet and creamy with a good bite to it. The shucking was also really well. I just want to give them that credit. The oyster shooter was strong, in a good way. Tasty! The duck fat fries were nice and crispy. It came with a rich truffle aioli. The steamed clams were good, but the slice of bread they gave us with it was burnt to an inedible level. I also would have liked a spoon to sip that garlic white wine and butter liquid. Clams were fresh. The seafood poke came with crispy wonton chips. It was decent. After our original order we decided we wanted to finish off with somethings small, so we got the Clam Chowder ($14). I would have liked it a smidge thicker in texture but the taste and the quality of ingredients are on point. I get the bacon essence and a good amount of clams in the soup too. I'm really glad we added that to our order. I also really like that the check comes in books. Chad told us that we can write a note in it if we want. They look at it like a way to interact with their customers. So cute!! We are DEFINITELY coming back here!! Next time I'll order even more oysters :) read more

First time here and we loved it! All the food was so fresh and well plated. Service was wonderful. Environment wasn't super loud but also wasn't dead silent. Definitely a kid friendly place for the wide variety of dishes. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture of the Oyster Rockefellers. Those were tasty, decadent, but not too overwhelming. The cod fish had this curry sauce on it that was so good you could drink it. The inspirational dish of the day was this wild sea bass. It's so difficult to find a place that can prepare fish that isn't too dry or salty, Glasspar was fantastic. read more

Stopped in for brunch this past weekend and had a wonderful meal. It's located in a large shopping center with plenty of free parking attached right in front. Inside is very large with many different seating areas and a full bar. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner so this place can get quite popular. They specialize in seafood, but they also have some other non-seafood options as well. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. The menu also has a lot of great options on it so it's the sort of place that you can visit many times and try something new each visit. For this meal, I chose the Cinnamon Roll to start and shared it with the entire table. Everyone loved it and I too was a big fan. For my breakfast I chose the Eggs Benedict and opted for lobster. It was honestly a great call and with avocado it was the perfect combination. Everything was cooked perfectly and I was just a huge fan. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant, but it was kind of a miss. We went with a of the party of six to celebrate a birthday. My biggest problem was that the food was inconsistent. The grilled octopus and the Crudo were delicious. My husband said the pork chop was one of the best ones he's ever had. The rest of our entrées were severely underseasoned. Everything from the fish, the filet, the mashed potatoes, and the vegetables needed salt. This was especially disappointing since the place is a bit pricey. We had to ask for salt to properly season our meals. I would definitely try it again to see if it's better. read more

First time eating at Glasspar, and it was delicious. I loved the Glasspar Benedict. I had it with a crab cake, which was also delicious. The flavors were on point. One of the best crab cakes I've had in a really long time. The hollandaise sauce was good too, very creamy. Well balanced. The Aperol Spritz was so refreshing; it took me back to Italy. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and overall we had a great experience. The restaurant was clean, nice, and had a welcoming atmosphere. Service was good throughout the evening, and the drinks menu offered a decent variety -- some options were on the pricier side while others were more reasonable. The food was also very good. Pricing was consistent with what you'd expect from a higher-end steak and seafood restaurant, though the portions were on the smaller side. The cod was equally bland, but the sauce was very spicy. The lobster rolls are very small. More like a small dinner roll with a few small bits of lobster. Oysters Rockefeller. Not exactly the chopped/stuffed shell variety. A whole oyster packed with stuffing and baked. The special for the evening was sea bass on risotto. This was the star of the show. Our first time here. Would definitely give a 4.5, great service by Kristen in the restaurant. I had the scallops and my husband had the fish and chips. Not huge portions but filling and very tasty. The scallops are a bit deconstructed but the sauce was good and they were cooked perfectly. Very nice wine selection. Also the restaurant is not loud, an issue with so many today. Glasspar is a solid place to come for seafood. Me and my dining companions all ordered fish as our entrees. The fish was perfectly prepared, not overcooked, and the presentation was very nice. Prices are on the high side ($40 for fish entrees), but they all come with veggies and some sort of carb (udon, rice, glass noodles). We sat in the outdoor patio, which was pretty spacious. If you come during Happy Hour, they will ask if you are partaking in the HH menu and seat you accordingly. (The HH side was a little noisy, thanks to a large boisterous group. If you're looking for a more quiet meal, don't sit on that side). I don't recall seeing it on the menu, but there is an additional fee if you use a credit card. Parking in the lot. read more

We had some very nice small plates including the charred octopus, crudo scallops & hamachi. A dozen oysters. Favorite was the octopus with excellent sauce garnishes. Pretty !! Next best was hamachi crudo with mango vinaigrette, actually equally good. The oysters were standard, shelled well, fresh and sweet. Would like a horseradish garnish sauce/ garnish & Tabasco Sauce please. The scallop crudo was fresh but the citrus sauce did not complement well. Just a matter of taste. Beautiful ambiance. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere. The clam chowder bowl was tasty but really small . I also had the clams in broth which were nicely presented , but so salty , it's as if a 28 ounce box of Morton's Salt was poured into the dish! The waitress was cool about taking it back . The manager politely said that the flavor was the result of the natural saltiness of the clams. That clearly wasn't the case , as this amount of salt was extreme & the dish was not edible . If you're hankering for a great seafood spot, Glasspar delivers. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered the octopus appetizer as my entree--and wow. It was incredibly tender, not rubbery at all, and surprisingly filling (my husband had to help me finish it!). The shrimp cocktail was fresh and flavorful, and the cheesecake was absolutely delicious. Bonus: they give free ice cream sundaes to kids on Sundays! Highly recommend. read more

Review for Happy Hour. My husband and I decided to try Glasspar for happy hour. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a nice outdoor patio with a fire pit. Our server, Luca, was amazing. He recommended the rose, which I might add was an excellent choice. My husband had the Hazy IPA. We opted for appetizers which included birria tacos, clam chowder, lobster bisque and the sourdough loaf. Everything was delicious. I predict Glasspar will be one of our go to restaurants. Thursday is $2.50 oyster night, which makes for a more affordable experience these days. Reasonable draft selection and happy hour. Outstanding service was provided by Nefta, who is a good conversationalist and is very friendly. We were early enough that it was not crowded, so the noise level was low, although I think acoustics would exacerbate or contribute to a higher volume if the place were more crowded. read more

Eventually, the manager came over and helped complete the order. Later, the server mentioned it was only her second day on the job, which helped explain the mix-ups. One kiddo ordered the IPA FISH AND CHIPS and that was solid. Great fish and great batter. Other kiddo ordered pasta with a side of pasta (kid's pasta with side of mac and cheese with fries)!! It took 1 hour to receive our food orders for a place that was only one quarter full of patrons and it was like pulling teeth to get refills on our bottomless mimosas, not to mention nonexistent coffee refills.
