I love coming to 33 North after I'm done working out. Tonight I had the brussels sprouts as usual, and Berto was my bartender/server and he is so unbelievably sweet, give him a hug when I left. The service is amazing I also love Phil the bartender. It's always happening at the bar and I HIGHLY recommend coming here! A+

The views and ambience here are amazing! No matter if you're here in the morning, afternoon, or evening, it's just enjoyable to take in the gorgeous ocean views next to the manicured golf course lawn with the magnificent architecture. We were recently here for dinner. The grilled chicken is very juicy and tender. Caesar salad is well seasoned with lots of cheesy crispy bits. The trio fries are very addictive--I especially love their truffle sauce. The bread of sliders are on the dry side---so this is the dish I don't recommend. The staff and customer service here are amazing! They are very courteous and sweet. If you are sitting by the fireplace, be very careful of the hot glass! Both my daughter and I accidentally got burned by the glass while eating.

OK, this review is just for drinks and dessert. I would say totally worth it. Your ambience your fireplace nighttime drink, and settle down and socialize. It's a great place. If you have younger kids, they're running around on the grass playing overall such a great experience during the day, I'm sure It's beautiful. Also, where you can see the ocean and I highly recommend just grab me a snack or a drink here and Ching it up with your friends. The service is representative of Waldorf-Astoria and it is top notch because you have people who are kind and willing to help you and I would say in food service these days it's becoming more rare because of how difficult the environment is. Our server was José and he was great.

Came here after eating dinner off the property and decided having drinks at the resort would be a good idea. We ended up getting red wine, a couple of brewskies, and a decaf coffee. Was able to get seats outside next to one of the fire pits and enjoyed our drinks as well as complimentary almonds and olives in a comfortable and relaxed setting. Service was friendly and professional. Was great to spend a few hours chatting next to the fire. 5 stars for 33 North!

If you haven't been to the Waldorf Astoria during the holidays, you really have to go and experience. We decided to have cocktails and nibbles right by the fireplace at 33 north . we had the entire sofa to ourselves and the fireplace right at our backs the staff our waiter was so kind and so friendly and so attentive.. we enjoyed the grilled Caesar salad and the braised short rib quesadilla. Delicious.!!! This is a pricey place to have a cocktail and nibbles, however, I will say it is worth it especially during the holidays. It's really delightful. We got there early to walk around the property and just take all of the holiday joy. This is one of our go to places.

This place was one of the highlights of our stay at the Waldorf! Our bartender Ernest was legit such an amazing person, server, and bartender! He recommended the best drinks & food, and didn't disappoint! We ordered many drinks: The Dutchess, Bees Nees, Mules, and lots more signature cocktails! They were all great!! And we also ordered lots of food & treats: duck fat fries, dessert, and crab cake bites. I honestly can't wait to come again just to visit this bar! Thanks to Ernest & the other bartender who was there with him (I forgot his name!): y'all were two people who made our experience 5-stars!

Being a local my wife and I had been looking forward to going here so when a friend came to visit from abroad we decided to take her here for a drink and sunset. Considering this is a world class resort we had expected great service but were disappointed. The valet was courteous and efficient but as soon as we entered inside things changed. Forget about someone greeting you but we found a table and sat down. The table had dirty dishes from the previous group sitting there but there was no other place to sit. No one came to the table for at least 15-20 minutes when I finally waved someone down. There was already a menu on the table although dog eared and dirty. We placed our drinks order which was brought out promptly. Drinks were well made and delicious. The view from this place is amazing. Ciara was a good server and tried her best but she seemed overwhelmed. I personally think the blame should go on the management. Train your people before putting them on the floor. Doesn't matter if it's a lounge, sequence of service still needs to be followed. The chair cushions were dirty and need to be changed. Guests expect and deserve better service and ambience when paying $28++ for a drink. I can make the same drink at home and enjoy the view from there too but it's the whole expectation of an experience which brings us to these luxury resorts. If a Forbes inspector was to receive such service you will not get that 5th Star which I'm sure the Waldorf wants.

Great service and ambiance. Enjoyed some drinks while waiting to check-in. Amazing views of the property here. I would go to Club 19 for food and here for drinks to enjoy the ambiance and view. Highly recommended!

Benny was our bartender of the night, he is funny, personable and can make some TASTY key lime martinis!!!!! Bar was busy but Benny was very attentive and a hell of a multitasker. Will definitely be back, they had live saxophone player in the lounge area and then it switched over to DJ. Very nice place and I actually like it better than Tge Ritz.

Burger, spicy bluefin tuna, and red ale on tap.

Amazing bluefin tuna. Melts in your mouth. Burger was tasty too but nothing special. Great views of the ocean and property.

    Jeff R.

Service top notch thus the three stars. Their must-have cheeseburger at $28 not so much. Poorly prepared, cooked on a grill that had fish earlier leaving a taste. Burger very dry. The fries we're frozen type and just so so.

    Chris B.

Comfy seats to lounge in while listening to live music. Don't expect to be served as it seems the guests outweigh the staff. Just walk up to the bar order your drank and sit down. Eventually, someone will stop by and give you some nuts and olives.

    Joe V.

Understanding that while not on the water it does offer an unbelievable setting and ambiance with a great ocean view for perfect sunsets. All with upgraded food and beverage and five star service.

Fernando went above and beyond to make sure our experience was 5 star. The rest of the team was always around making sure we had all we needed as well. When the sun set and the breeze got cooler we were offered warm blankets. So back to what we went for, the food right. Tuna tartare was excellent. Guacamole was good but I didn't like the cracker things that came with it and used the chips that came with the tartare instead. Oysters and caesar salad were fresh. Surf & turf tacos were delicious. Crab cake was good, sauce has a little spice to it. The desserts were scrumptious, the churro's were a favorite out of the 4 we had. So fresh and crispy but perfect on the inside, with fresh made caramel and chocolate to dip. My birthday chocolate cake was so good. Our cocktails were well made. There is a Ritz Kids menu and our kids loved all the food they had (Mac n cheese, chicken strips, burger, fries) we liked their fries too lol. We had a short two days at this hotel but I'm so glad I got to experience 180blu.. ended up sneaking in at the last minute on our second night there (Fernando welcomed us as if it was mid shift and we did not feel rushed one bit) for a night cap and to just take in the ambiance and fresh air. I can't wait to go back.

We picked it because we've driven past it forever and it always seemed like one of those solid local spots. Saturday night, special occasion, figured it was a safe choice. It ended up being one of the more disappointing dinners we've had in a while. Prices are high across the menu, which would be fine if the food matched, but it really didn't. Nothing was awful, just very average for what they charge. The kind of meal where you keep waiting for something to justify the price and it never does. Service was also strange the whole night. We put in the reservation notes and even called ahead to say we were celebrating a birthday, and when we got there nobody mentioned it at all. My girlfriend went up to the host stand to check on it and got a scoff and a very confused response like she was asking for something unusual? High schoolers can be great employees but need genuine training. Our waiter didn't seem rude exactly, just very low effort. A lot of mumbling, short answers, not really paying attention even though the restaurant wasn't busy. At one point we ordered a Sprite and a sparkling water, and when the drinks came out we asked which was which. He told us to taste them and figure it out, which kind of summed up the level of service the whole night. The birthday dessert finally came out right after we paid the bill, right before we were about to leave, like someone remembered at the last second. Overall it just felt like a place that isn't trying very hard anymore. You can't charge those prices, have a half-empty dining room on a Saturday, and give that level of food and service and expect people not to notice. Sad it did not live up to its lore. Food was maybe a 5/10 Service around a 3/10 Overall experience probably a 4/10 Not the worst restaurant ever, but definitely not somewhere I'd go back to, and not somewhere I'd recommend if you're looking for a nice dinner in Dana Point. I have told many people not to go there.

I want to start this review off by saying THANK YOU to Blake, Kelly and all the Craft House staff…read morethat had a hand in our wedding reception!! It was truly such a beautiful night that went off without a hitch. Because of YOU GUYS. Beginning of Planning: My husband and I were on the hunt for the perfect "alternative" space to a traditional wedding venue due to time constraints of planning a wedding in 4 months and also budgetary constraints (not willing to sell our souls for a 40k wedding in South OC). I came across Craft House on Yelp (another beautiful couple held their wedding there) and knew the space would be perfect. I emailed for a week or two with Kelly before deciding to see the space in person. Late November/early December we met with Blake to show us the space. We knew it was the place for us when we were explaining to Blake our overall goal we were trying to accomplish: We wanted to throw a nice dinner and dance party for the people we love the most to celebrate the love we share. And we wanted to do it our way. Blake's response: We can do it all. No constraints. Basically no "rules", do it your way. We immediately put a hold on the space for our wedding date. December-March: Kelly was the perfect person to connect with and kindly answered all the questions that come along with planning a wedding. She was efficient with answering emails and following up with us (I'm type B, I love a follow up). We went to eat at Craft House a few times during these months and we able to figure out what we loved the best on the menu and each experience was fantastic. 10/10 drinks, food, and service. March: We started finalizing all the little details, food and drink menu, decorations, table arrangements, day of timeline. It was easy, efficient and there was a confidence from both Blake and Kelly that made us feel extremely confident and grateful to have our reception at Craft House. Wedding Week/Day of: Blake kindly allowed us to bring a load of decorations the day before the wedding to help the set up efforts on wedding day. We dropped off boxes of candles with a bartender (possibly a manager) the night before and he was extremely sweet and helpful by carrying boxes inside for us. The day of the wedding, our DJ and friend who was helping with set up were able to go in a few hours before. When we walked into the reception for the first time, we were blown away! I was in true awe at the space. It was exactly how we envisioned. The beautiful wood interior and 3/4 walls of windows with plants inside and outside made it feel like we were in a green house. I was met with a drink in my hand immediately from the bartenders and I was never without a drink (they would find me every time my drink was empty and give me a new one... THAT'S TOP TIER SERVICE). We ate, we drank and we partied with the people we love the most, exactly how we wanted. Things you should know: Particulars- We had about 90 guests, 4 vendor meals and had the private space from 12 PM (set up time) to 10:30PM. Price- THE BEST DEAL YOU CAN GET. Rental for the space, food and open bar(!!!) all bundled into a great price. Best bang for your buck. Price included gratuity and a small percentage for service fee. UNBEATABLE. Service- As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for many years (and close friends who are bartenders and servers)... we all agreed that the service was top tier. One of the biggest stand outs for me was the smiles on all of their faces during our reception. There is nothing better than seeing employees genuinely smile while they are working. It really makes the whole atmosphere a million times better. Some videos that we got at the end of the night, you can see the bartenders dancing while serving guests, it made my heart happy to know that there was some enjoyment while working their butts off for us. Thank you all so much!! We enjoyed ourselves and so did all of our guests. The next day people were stunned that we had been at a restaurant and not a wedding venue. This review is well deserved. *Pictures to come!

She went above and beyond in ways both big and small, and it made all the difference. Her space is absolutely beautiful. It has such an artsy, welcoming feel and was perfect for our 80 person reception. The lighting created a magical atmosphere, the sound system worked flawlessly, and the indoor outdoor flow gave guests room to mingle, relax, and celebrate comfortably. One of the most generous touches was allowing us to use her home for staging the bride and groom. That level of trust and hospitality meant so much to our family. Throughout the entire process, she was accommodating, helpful, and always available with a calm, reassuring presence. If you are looking for a venue with heart, creativity, and an owner who truly cares, this is it. We are so grateful for everything she did to make the celebration unforgettable.

We recently had the opportunity to DJ an event at The Fish Tank in Capistrano Beach (34233 Via…read moreSanta Rosa, Dana Point), and it immediately impressed us. Start with the owner. Cate is professional, responsive, and genuinely collaborative. Communication is clear. Load-in is organized. The space is clean and well maintained. When a venue runs this smoothly, it reduces friction for vendors and creates a better experience for clients and guests. That kind of operational competence doesn't happen by accident. The design is what makes this venue distinct. The short-throw projectors transform the walls into a fully immersive aquarium or fishbowl environment. It's not a novelty effect; it's a production tool. For weddings, the room can feel atmospheric and romantic. For corporate events, branded visuals wrap the space in a way that feels custom and high-end. Few venues at this size offer that level of visual flexibility. From an audio standpoint, the room performs extremely well. We run MagiCali, a Southern California mobile DJ company specializing in weddings and corporate events, and we evaluate every room through a production lens. We look at ceiling height, wall material, reflection patterns, power distribution, and how low-end energy travels across a dancefloor. We've worked in luxury ballrooms, outdoor coastal venues, private estates, and converted industrial spaces. The Fish Tank is one of the rare venues where you don't have to compensate for the room. Speeches are articulate and easy to understand. Dinner music sits comfortably without overwhelming conversation. When it's time to transition into dancing, the room holds energy evenly instead of creating hot spots or dead zones. That tells you the space was built and tuned with care. For clients, that technical quality translates into confidence. You don't have to worry about muddy sound during toasts or harsh reflections once the music turns up. The venue supports the event instead of fighting it. There are many event spaces in Orange County. Very few combine strong visual identity, flexible projection capability, solid acoustics, and hands-on ownership. The Fish Tank is an undiscovered gem, and for what Cate currently charges, it represents exceptional value. It would not be surprising to see this venue commanding significantly higher rates in the near future. If you're planning a wedding, private celebration, or corporate event in Dana Point or Capistrano Beach, this space deserves serious consideration. It's distinctive, technically sound, and professionally run -- exactly the kind of venue that allows a well-executed event to shine.
