If happiness had a flavor, I'm pretty sure it tastes like dinner at Fig 313. My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely fantastic evening here. The short rib I ordered was delicious. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. We grabbed a spot on the patio, and it turned out to be the perfect. Fig 313 nailed it on all fronts. Highly recommend.

I was dying to try this place with my fiance for months but finally ended up going with my girl friends. 1. service is spot on, it is such a quaint little restaurant with limited seating (good) and everyone we interacted with was so friendly. I'd call it a step above casual but you can certainly dress up also. I cannot recall our servers name (he was polish) but he was awesome and recommended some great dishes 2. food - we split two of the filet mignon specials, 2 cesar salads and 2 fries ( girl dinner) everything we had was SO good and i'd honestly come back just for the fries 3. I had the lychee drink and asked them to sub tequila instead and they obliged. the only hiccup was my friends espresso martini was pretty much all milk. everyone else loved their drinks will return! highly recommend

I've been living in San Clemente for over 6 years and can't believe this was the first time trying FIG313. We arrived late evening and were seated right away. Our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. Bone Marrow App five stars I ordered the chicken entree (I'm usually a steak guy) chicken was amazing, hot, juicy, perfect Highly recommended I WILL be back soon

Was underwhelmed last time we paid Fig313 a visit. Menu seemed to change (or maybe there are different items for lunch vs dinner) but something about the creativeness of dishes has gone slightly down. Quality is still there, so maybe we'll make another trip out to see if this past visit was just a one-time thing.

We started out late for dinner, walked down Del Mar, didn't really see anything we liked. Drove down South El Camino, but the place we went to see didn't have much of a patio. After we came back to where we were staying, we saw Fig 313. Sometimes what you are looking for is right in front of you! Friendly greeting, and they were not busy, though it was 8 pm. We pretty much had the patio all to ourselves and of course, Cako didn't mind...LOL! They have a very interesting menu, and everything looks delicious! They also have a great wine list! They had a Malbec that I am familiar with and we ordered that. We both started with the fig salad. This was really good! The pickled white raisins were a nice surprise! Love candied walnuts which pair nicely with the bleu cheese. And of course, the figs and apples bring it all together. A great salad! I ordered the special oso bucco. This was really tender and served on a bed of spinach and kale and came with bleu cheese mashed potatoes. One thing that I loved was the marrow from the bone. This was one of those decadent meals that one should treat themselves to every so often. Price was pretty steep but I'm on vacation. Daveed had the tender braised short rib with carrot puree and red cabbage. He thought it was one of the best short ribs he's had in a while. Our server Andrew, was great! Very personable and we had a great discussion about dogs. Cako laid down twice during our meal and only does that when she really likes a place! Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood to do something special! Cako Approves!

Fig 313 is definitely a gem nestled just a few minutes away from the pier! Quiet, quaint & intimate. We dined in for our anniversary on a Tuesday. The Spanish style ambiance created a cozy yet simplistic setting. All staff were very inviting and attentive. We started with house bread & their signature fig butter-- a light, yet sweet spongy starter. We also got the bone marrow which came with grilled toast to spread on the savory garlicky flavors. The "cherry on top" was the unexpected ice cream gesture to celebrate our anniversary. It's one of those things that most restaurants overlook when you make the reservation, but so meaningful when they take the time to acknowledge such a special occasion. We definitely recommend coming in to enjoy Fig 313, & we look forward to exploring new seasonal items!

Five stars plus a few more! We absolutely loved our experience at fig 313 tonight . The grilled octopus was delicious . But it was my fig salad with green apples and walnuts that really sealed the deal for me. It was so flavorful with hazelnuts. It was delicious delightful light and bright. I could've eaten an entire bowl of the salad it was that good. We enjoyed the beef bourgaon , linguine and clams all the dishes were delicious. Our waiter, Mike , was just on point for everything such a great experience. I really love the lighting in this restaurant very sexy. They have an incredible outdoor patio which we did not utilize because we were a little chilly. We will be back when it's a little warmer to sit outside because it's so cute inside is equally adorable. Street parking there's some lots. They also have a little space in the adjacent church. Really great food .

I have service animals that fit into a bag, they had no problem accommodating me with this fact. Then the drinks were very good, I had an old fashioned with fig, wish I would have known they had the dark maraschino cherries. The fig was a little hard to eat, didn't add to the drink. For dinner we had the filet with veal au jus, mashed potatoes and fresh carrots. Super delicious, cooked perfectly medium rare. We also had the scallops, which we had put on the side of the sauces and sides. Super well done as well. I'm delighted to have been referred to this restaurant by a friend. We also needed more quiet space and they accommodated it immediately.

I absolutely love the experience here from Mike our waiter from start to finish this experience has been so amazing. I got the filet mignon (highly recommend) and my husband got the braised ribs and I gotta say mine where better than his I choice for starters we got the olive tapenade and it was great and the final was the must chocolate cake was so delivered I will order again. But let's not forget a shout out to Mike who made this night the best experience ever! This is one of san Clemente's finest restaurants... give it a go.

Beautiful location. We ate outside. Pros: great food, nice seating area with warmers for cool nights, absolutely delicious food--get the house meatballs, and the fig butter cake. Service very friendly as well. Cons: timing off, sat next to noisy kitchen area where they drop off dirty dishes. Great place to visit and recommend it just for food. Note: park at the church and take a short walk over. It'll save you time.

Food was quite delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection as was the seafood linguine. Server was a little on the snotty side, and weight staff would walk by several times before offering to pick up empty dishes. Ambience is a 10+ . It's a beautiful enclosed patio setting with twinkle lights and lots of greenery as well as a fountain in the back which as a soothing sound.

My tall Sequoia of a date did the classic awkward shuffle at the front like, "hi, can the dog come through to the patio without causing a federal incident?" The guy we asked looked like we had just asked him to solve climate change (bc he was a customer...), but he very politely redirected us to the cashier, who was lovely. So: Kindness: 10/10. Confusion: also 10/10. ~Balance~ Now the food. The Boulder orders a fish burrito. I go for the chimichurri salmon bowl with quinoa because I, too, enjoy pretending I have my life together. BUT. The boulder also then orders clam chowder--a surprise, a moment of elation, but at the same time... skeptical? Sir? I have lamented over my favorite chowder like a woman waiting for her husband to come back from battle. Were your ears too high in elevation for my voice to reach? ANYWAYS. Let's talk about the clam chowder, because this is where things get serious. I have grown up eating clam chowder in Santa Cruz (my hometown, my birthplace, my origins). I have known greatness (shoutout to Stagnaro Bros., the downstairs fish market). So when I tell you I approached this chowder with standards, I need you to understand the weight of that statement. I put my spoon in. It did not sink. At that moment, I knew. This was not soup. This was a lifestyle. A structural entity. And it was GOOD. Creamy, thick, unapologetically clam-forward. Not quite Santa Cruz enlightenment, clouds-parting-angels-singing, but honestly? Strong contender. We're talking solid top 4-5 chowders of my life, and I do not say that lightly. Now, my salmon bowl? Good. Respectable. Salmon = crispy, quinoa = doing quinoa things (why is it always slightly annoying to eat??). Chimichurri good. The fish burrito (from my observational research + dog validation panel): packed, flaky, generous. My dog approved, which frankly is the highest honor available. Overall: Great food, great vibes, excellent chowder, and quality time with the Tall Sequoia Boulder Man™ on a random Monday. Plus points--chips looked fried on site :D

We also started with a basket of sourdough slices which came out toasted and hot. Next was the Boeuf Bourguignon was just delicious! They definitely slow cooked the beef as advertised. And also a Mediterraneenne omelette w/some added Gruyère-the egg alone was probably the best fluffy omelette I've ever had! Everything was cooked with delicacy and care in the quality of the ingredients. You definitely get the quality of food that the prices call for. We will definitely be back because it's good quality food, and pleasant vibe with good service!

This place is a little pricey but it's worth it. You get a lot of avocado and ginger. I love the original flavor. It makes the rice taste so good. I wish they gave more salmon but I'm still satisfied.

They charge an arm and a leg for every toppings with how little they give you. i got the regular $12.99 (half rice and salad) and i added a few things on there as well. The total price plus tip came out to be about $24 dollars. When i opened the container, i saw how little rice and salad they gave. Honestly, it looked like scraps or leftovers from someone else. Literally looked like a mini icecream scoop of rice and salad...that's how little it was. The same for the fish and toppings. Everything looked like it was sprinkled on top. I was utterly disappointment because this isn't the first time i noticed the portion size being small. This is the second time im giving it a chance after covid and i can confirm that it is the biggest waste of money for what they give you. They're ripping everyone off. tl;dr, mediocre flavor, portion size poor for the the price. Go somewhere else, there are better ones out there.

I had heard through social media and reviews that this place has the best lobster roll in Orange…read moreCounty and once again I find all the hype to be inaccurate. The menu looks great, offering what looks to be delicious seafood. And I imagine that they offer great seafood. , just not in the form of a lobster roll. I was born and raised in New England and I know what a Maine style lobster roll is. What they offer here is nothing like a Maine style lobster roll and honestly, it tasted gross.. The iconic Maine lobster roll is made from simple ingredients, It is the perfect combination of mounds of lobster , mayonnaise, and lemon juice maybe a little salt.. served chilled in a toasted bun. Sometimes you get minced celery . What was served to me at Hook and Anchor was a lobster roll served in a brioche bun, and when I looked at it, it looked like it had hot cheese on top of it. But that wasn't cheese.. That was hot garlic mayonnaise, or aoili. I had to eat it with a knife of fork, and the overwhelming flavor is garlic. That's too bad because lobster has a delicate flavor and overpowering it with hot garlic, mayonnaise , it just was not very good It was bad. Again a lobster roll is served cold and that it was hot made it worse. If this is what you serve please don't say it's a Maine style lobster because it absolutely is not. However, we did split a clam chowder and that was delicious so my guess is that they have items on the menu that are good and I probably will go back to try their other entrees But please don't tell people that this is a Maine style lobster roll. And lastly, there is another classic style of lobster., I think that's considered New York, and that is warm a lobster with melted butter, drizzled all through it that I think does have minced celery . This style of lobster roll is decadent and delicious. And I don't understand how people who review lobster rolls on TikTok and Instagram somehow in Orange County don't know what a classic Maine lobster roll is
