We were able to secure a Saturday wine tour with Aftershock Brewery, we had an excellent day with our tour guy Kenny. He was helpful, informative, and a great sport throughout. We visited 3 wineries and had lunch on the the second one, it was a fun day for everyone on the bus. Kenny was a complete gentleman to all the ladies!!! We had an excellent service with this company and will definitely do it again. We highly recommend requesting for Kenny, he was awesome and we love him!!!! We were in Temecula for a short getaway. I wanted to try some of the local breweries. Aftershock has some great reviews on Yelp, so I stopped in to fill my growler. Atmosphere is pretty typical for a local craft beer brewery. It is in a light industrial development. Easy to find on one of the main drags. Parking seemed adequate. There is a long bar and a place where you can sit and play games. I did not see any food offerings. But I was here for the beer. Nice selection, but they were out of one of the hazy IPAs I wanted to try. I got a taste of the Paradisi grapefruit IPA and the Crushinator hazy IPA. Both were good. I had them fill my growler with the Crushinator. Enjoyable, nice balance of bitter and orange juice. I would come back when in town. Seems like a good local crowd and some good beer. read more

Friday, December 28, 2018 (2pm) In Temecula today killing some time and brewery hopping. Never been here to Aftershock Brewing. We are here now. I'm trying the Orange CreamsicALE. Excellent. It's a very unique beer similar to a 50/50 bar (that's orange and vanilla to you youngsters) and I don't usually like flavored beers. I'm more an IPA kind of guy. My wife is liking the Peanut Alert and also the Orange CreamsicALE. We both liked the Orange CreamsicALE so much that we bought a six pack of it. Travis is not your average beer pourer either. He's extremely knowledgeable and passionate about beer and the business of beer. I predict this place will be very successful with guys like Travis running the show. As another yelp reviewer said, Aftershock Brewing does an excellent job branding itself and is better than most at it. I agree. Parking is good. Beer is good. Prices are reasonable. Cool intimate vibe. Knowledgeable staff. If you're in the area, no reason to not come try this place. See my photos below. read more

Driving from SD to get back home to LA, I decided to check out a local brewery and I came across Aftershock in Temecula for a beer to end the weekend on a great note! The hospitality and customer service is outstanding and top tier! Korina or Karina, in case I spelled her name wrong, is super knowledgeable of the beer selection and she is a great person to chat with! I even got to chat with other regulars and I 100% felt the sense of community that Aftershock offers to anyone who loves beer and walks in through their doors! New favorite brewery in Temecula! Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Ale is award winning and for a good reason.

I loved this cute little place. I tried the oatmeal raisin, espresso stout and peanut alert. My favorite out of the three was definitely the oatmeal raisin. The other two were too strong for my liking but nonetheless good! They captured the taste, true to their name. This place is dog friendly as well which is a super plus! read more

Cool little brewery in a shopping mall. Lots of tasty beers to choose from. Probably the coolest thing was the beer holder when you get the tasters. It is a polished wood in the shape of the state of California, with 4 holes to hold the beer. Go here, pick the style of beer you like and go for it. All were good, some were better and a couple of others were really nice. Friendly beertender who offered advice when I had trouble choosing. read more

Might consider coming back after COVID, but servers did not wear masks. Nor did customers seated inside. Distancing was not observed and sanitizer was nowhere to be found. Outstanding place serving some of the BEST craft beer you will find in San Diego! Right now they are in the back, highway facing side of the 15 in Old Town Temecula but are soon relocating to the front side with more room. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and Marvin came out to share brewing secrets. Their tasters range 1-2 dollars each for about a four ounce taster and the alcohol is plainly listed on the board. Bought a friend the stainless growler which was beautiful! Love the Jesse & James brew and the story behind it told by the owner. Small place this world. While there a couple came in from Maui so we were swapping stories of our beloved islands with some of the neighboring tattoo artists who we encouraged to show off their skin art! We got to the brewery after checking their reviews, beer was good, my husband and I were having a good time and I noticed they were serving micheladas, they looked good, so I asked how exactly they prepared them (both to know what was on them and if there was any hot salsa on them because they usually give me heartburn if they are too heavy on it). She said they put tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce, so I asked what else, she said, and I quote "I can't tell you anything else". I'm Mexican, I KNOW everyone has their own michelada recipe, I just wanted to know what I would be getting into. She said it rudely and seemed annoyed that I asked. Later on I asked if it had lime and she said no. But what offends me is the rudeness, I'm not trying to steal your recipe Lady, we have a whole culture around micheladas, I don't need it. My lady and I are going around Temecula trying to hit all the breweries and this was the first one we decided to visit. It's going to be tough for the remainder of them because this set the bar pretty high. The tasting room is a bit tough to find, because it faces the freeway, so you have to drive around back to front door. After you find it, you'll walk into a small tasting room with beer "stuffs" all over the wall. Pictures, bottles, coasters, tshirts and the sort. Pretty good vibe going on. I don't remember the exact number of beers, but I'd say they had 10 the day we went to visit. We started with California Oktoberfest beer. Great stuff. Other standouts were the Stout, and Dubbel Vision. The Pinacate was a spicy light beer that is definitely worth checking out. Spice with no burn. Good stuff. The lady/woman/girl/chick (what do you call a female in her late 20's?) was really friendly, knowledgeable and good at talking to all the different customers while keeping them filled with the tastings. Some of the best IPA and Stout I have had. The owner and Brewmaster, Marvin, is friendly and very very knowledgable about beer. I really liked the Third degree IPA and the Espresso Stout. I had a taste of the double Belgian and I liked that too. They have the two most important things to me: good beer and friendly people behind the bar. Like most Temecula breweries, Aftershock is located in an industrial type area. It is easy to find since it is right off Jefferson Road and is a few minutes outside of Old Town. The brewery has a decent amount of seating, but probably isn't the best for a large group. This brewery probably does the best job out of other breweries to brand itself. After spectating the zombie race, I had a hankering for some suds, so I had my phone search for breweries - this was right on the way. It's a small place - not a lot of ambiance - small bar, beer keg seats, the obligatory tv showing football. The staff was really great. I got to sample each of their brews on tap, for ten bucks - how can you beat that? Most of the samples were great. The espresso stout was a bit much for me, but I don't really like coffee. We did the flight of 4 and tried the Dubbel vision, oatmeal raisin cookie ale, orange creamsic-ale, and the Schwartzy. The flight consisted of very generous pours. Travis, our bartender was fantastic! He gave me a sample of the Oatmeal cookie toasted macaroon. So. Good. I like Girl Scout cookies and I like beer. Enter a dark, cool beer haven away from the heat of the sun beating down on you outside. Our bartender was very friendly and accommodating, and was generous with the cheese puffs and pretzels. Much appreciated :) The brewery had 20 beers on tap, which is already an amazing feat on its own. Took us by surprise! Several beers were tapped out, but there was plenty of variety. Single hope sentinal session and Third degree IPA were decent, but get the grapefruit Third degree if it's on. They use the zest from the grapefruits they use for their grapefruit soda, which by the way, is a MUST try. So it's not a beer, okay. But it was delicious. Pinacate Chili Ale packed some heat, but was well balanced as well. They had another beer that was tapped out labeled as "very hot" that we wished we could've tried, but maybe some other time. Richter rauch and Red alert were alright too. Overall, I'm pretty amazed by the number of beers and sodas they're able to pump out. Impressive, and pretty solid. GREAT little brewery! It's located just outside the Old Town Temecula strip. We rode our bikes here and didn't have any problems finding the spot. The place isn't very big but the beer and service was WONDERFUL! our server, Rebecca, was super nice and friendly, and chatted with us (whenever she wasnt busy). Since it was our first time here, we didn't know much about the beers here but she was kind enough to give us as much information as we wanted to know. we did a tasting of all 8 of the beers they had available this day and everything came out to only $11! not only do they have the typical glass growlers but they also have stainless steel growlers for sale, which was something new i've never seen before. seating is very limited here but i think it's just perfect for the amount of people that were here at the time. they don't serve food but they do offer snacks to help hold off hunger for a bit. awesome beer and great service, we will definitely be back again! read more

I thought this place was just okay. The IPA and Imperial IPA are average at best as they don't use amarillo, nelson, or simcoe hops which I prefer. The place was crowded and the people that run the brewery and work there seem great. It is definitely worth stopping by. read more

This place looks like a small old school hole in the wall in a small mall. But once you go inside it is modern and well decorated. They have a huge variety of beers. They also have cold pressed coffee and root beer for those who don't like beer. I tried the strawberries and cream, and double vision. Double vision was my favorite. I have been a major fan of this brewery since day one. Even better, they moved into some more sizable digs and boy is it nice!! Their beer style is a refreshing change from the hardcore going-ons of the IPA world. They actually have some more malty choices (which I greatly appreciate) When you walk into their new digs, you are immediately facing the bar in which you will be served. The space itself is spacious and they have some of their brewery items on display for sale. The same crew from their last place is here and thank goodness because they are all pretty fantastic. Came here on a wine tasting trip because we wanted a break from the wine. This place is a gem! It's located in what looks like an industrial area. It feels less like a brewery than like a bar. They had a long bar and a few tables, including a nook that one group had staked out for a party. Oh my gosh, they have so many beers on tap! The bartender was patient in explaining the different types of beers and let me sample a few favorites. I ended up getting a sampler -- I love how the sampler is set up. It holder is shaped like the state of California and they use magnets placed under the glasses to identify the type of the beer. The beers themselves were DELICIOUS! I'm an IPA fan and loved all of the IPAs that I tried. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Peanut Red Ale, which was very fragrantly peanut-y. My favorite, though, was the Oatmeal Raisin cookie ale. It really did taste like an oatmeal cookie with the spices, but wasn't too sweet. read more
