I came here on based on a coworker's recommendation a couple years back when we were in the area visiting a winery. He told me about a particular beer to try, and he was spot on! I will get to this shortly.. I have also heard about the variety of beers but haven't been lucky enough to try more than 3-4 types. They seem to always have wheat beers on tap. The sour passionfruit one I tasted recently was ok but not too impressive for me. The double IPA that I took home in cans long ago was called Jess & James- this was decent but I do remember a very boozy finish. The 2 standouts I had here were the oatmeal raisin cookie(though not a big fan of spiced ales) and the Peanut alert which is by far and away their best beer in my opinion. This is the one my friend told me about! It is a red ale with a distinctive peanut flavor that matches wonderfully with the malty, red style. I must get a crowler to go every time after I drink one there. This alone makes me stop by here as long they're open!! read more

What impressed me most about Aftershock had to be the connection this business has established with the local community. People often just want to go places where they feel safe & welcome. Aftershock certainly provides that experience. People bring their families to here to drink, carry on, and be merry. Some even bring their cats & dogs. What a warm ambience. Why not. I got a chance to talk with Amber, one of the owners. It's hard to replicate her people skills & humor. She told scads of funny anecdotes and jokes. All tables and customers were served cold beverages promptly while she was on the floor. I had a mineral water with hops in it or hop water, if you will. As of today, I consider my thirst slaked. Great customer service. Bartender was sooo friendly and she instantly welcomed you. She knew the regulars and instantly served them their favorites without them asking. Small brewery. But they have A LOT to choose from. My fiancé and I went here for our second stop on a brewery tour and had a 4 beer tasting flight. Blonde, Tropicana Magic, Oatmeal Raisin, and then end with your choice. My fiancé liked the oatmeal raisin beer and i liked the tropicana magic beer. For my final tasting i chose Stay Classy and my fiancé ordered their sour but they didn't have it. So he told the bartender to surprise him. She gave him this very faint pink beer. We both tried it and instantly loved it. We both thought it was the grapefruit IPA but we were waayy off. Bartender came up with her own concoction and mixed 2 beers and a seltzer. Omg! Must try! I'm not a hardcore beer drinker, but this guy I know ... you know, my JnC/OF buddy?! Lol...he's a regular here. Every now and then we meet up for a quick drink after work. I've only ever had micheladas from here, and they are pretty good. Not the best I've had, but they hit the spot. Last time we came, the guy asked if I wanted mine spicy... I'd had a long ass day and said yes. Once I started drinking it I couldn't hang lol!! He was kind enough to make me a new one. I did ask for some water and he gave me a glass, but it wasn't cold. It was warm from the tap. I don't like warm water but I drank it because I was desperate, lmao! Michelada was way better for my tastebuds the 2nd time around. I might try something else next time. Perhaps a fruity beer if they have any. They have over 30 beers on tap so I'll have to see. Place is clean and chill. There's a cute little nook against the back wall if you wanna get cozy with your s.o. If you're a fan of beer, you should come here. You'd probably love it. They do offer discounts so just ask. Came here on our sidecar tour for our last stop. The inside is small but somehow fits a good amount of people weather it's tables or at the counter. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us one of the most amazing concoctions I've ever had lol. We didn't see food so I do not believe there is any but I could be wrong since we were only there for the beer. Small little brewery just a little outside of Old Town, but definitely worth the extra 2 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk. Aftershock Brewing carry over 30 different beers on tap. Everything from hard seltzer's to hoppy and malty brews. For those of you that are brewery hopping like me, this is the perfect spot cuz they have a flight of 4 beers for a reasonable price. Found this hidden gem after looking up breweries in the Temecula area. It is small but well put together and the beer is unique and tasty. I came with a group of 4 and there is not a ton of seating but it was not too busy on Saturday afternoon so we were able to snag a table to sit and indulge on some beer. I tasted a few and ended up with a The Public House Blonde and my friend had the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie which was so tasty! It tasted exactly like an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie no joke! Another friend of mine ordered the Blueberry Dream which was tart but really good. I look forward to coming back to try more of their beer! read more

Aftershock looked closed from the outside-there weren't any people outside that's because everyone was indoors. Neither the staff or customers wore masks at all which was a little disconcerting. Not everyone in our group was vaccinated so it did make it a little awkward. Their beers were ok, pretty middle of the road. They seem to make a lot of beers that cater to the IPA crowd. I would say the beers they make are good for entry level craft beer drinkers/those that stay in the IPA side of the beer spectrum. read more

First off, Travis is our go-to man and my fiancé and I absolutely love this guy! If there's anyone that should be behind a counter pouring brews, it's got to be him 100%! There are about 10-12 breweries in a 2 mile stretch along Old Towne that we frequent, and Aftershock takes the cake as #1. It's hands-down my favorite because of their variety, atmosphere and employees. Prices are very reasonable, and the flavors are phenomenal. Currently I'm in love with their Guaaavah Hazy & Hunker Down Haze (which I want to say is a limited release, but I could be wrong. Double check their IG account @aftershockbrewingco). When they have California Blazin, which changes with every brew due to the chilis they put in it, I am absolutely there! Overall, this is a great place to grab a brew and relax. Bring some of your favorite bbq in to eat while you sip (or chug, I don't judge lol!) a cold beer. read more

Great selection of brews. They do not skew hoppy as so many micro breweries do with IPAs making up the vast majority of options. They have a nice variety. I was a big fan of Peanut Alert. I will defnitely stop in next time I am in Temecula. read more

Went here for a Valentine's day beer taste-testing. Tried two flights of beers (4 beers in each flight) and we were pleasantly surprised! The beers here are amazing. The beers were all very unique and delicious but my favorite by far was the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Ale. It has the distinct flavor and spices of the cookie without the sweetness. It's unlike anything I've tasted before and it has become my new favorite. We bought a growler of it to take home. The brewery itself is small and intimate. We sat in a charming little booth. So one time when I was in La Mesa I went to this place named Craft Kitchen which is a bar that has beer and really good food. So they had the Peanut Alert and I had it and it was so damn good. I found out the beer was from Temecula I knew I would be coming to After Shock. Anyway I finally made to After Shock and this place is so damn chill and laid back. The location is small but it's laid out well and the decor is simple but cool. The bar is pretty long and there are a few tables. There's no food but I'm sure you can bring food. This is officially our 2nd visit to Aftershock, our first time was Memorial Day 2015. We had walked from a restaurant in old town Temecula because we heard this place was down the street. After a little hike, we walked in not knowing they were about to close in 15 minutes. The lady manning the place was quite rude and informed us thusly. Our kids had a taster, but we slowly backed away...she was a little scary. Well, our kids had gone back since and kept asking us to join them because the beers were amazing. We were reluctant and it took 8 months to convince us to give it another try. This time a very nice young lady was pouring. I had several tasters because everything sounded delicious, and it was. Small tasting room, but perfectly quaint. They had at 12 beers on tap (more than that I think, though), and there were so many options! Tasters run $1-2 and there's really a lot to sample. I tried the Strawberry Shortcake, an espresso stout, and a pomegranate stout. I really enjoyed each of them, but the Strawberry took the cake. I wanted to buy a growler, but we ended up not being able to make it back before close. I'm seriously considering going back this week for it. I wasn't too partial to the campfire-it tasted smokey, like you were drinking how your clothes smell after a bonfire. Too much for me. For a small space, we really didn't know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. The girl working behind the bar was very friendly and talked to us about the different beers, how they're brewed which was great. I'm always down to learn something new!
