When I planned my GF's bachelorette party, I asked around for a limo service that will take us girls bar hopping. These guys from After Hours were recommended from a fellow Yelper. I spoke with Oscar who runs the service. He was very professional and and offered us a flat rate deal (while most services will add on gratuity and licensing fees..etc). On the night of the event they were short staffed so Oscar personally drove us around. He was punctual and extremely helpful. It was great to go from place to place without having to worry about flagging down cabs for each group of girls. We simply had more time to enjoy ourselves. For our Senior Ball 2007 I spent HOURS going through the websites of limousine companies trying to find some that were willing to drive our group of 20 from Union City to the restaurant in Palo Alto to the Hilton in SF and then back home to UC at midnight. After doing all of that research the conclusion I was left with was that After Hours Limousines simply offered the best services at the best price. The person who organized everything for our group, Oscar, is just AMAZING. He answered all of my questions and concerns with patience and understanding. We had a prom group of 20 people and the Hummer was just BEAUTIFUL - it made the prom experience VERY memorable. My friend made a mix CD before we left her house and we just had the best time singing on the way to prom and back home. I found a special promotional offer on yelp," $100 for $200 Certificate at After Hours Limousines". I mentioned the certificate that is offered on Yelp for their company, Oscar told me his company would not honor the certificate. As a company, if you have promotional offers, coupons, or special deals it is completely unprofessional to not honor them. i will never use this company or recommend them. I could not be happier with the service we received from Oscar! I booked a limo for my birthday and went wine tasting in Livermore with 6 friends. I expected a smaller limo, but we ended up with a sweet Excursion (I think) that had enough room for twice as many people! After Hours Limos was great! I called for a same day reservation this past Saturday and Oscar went out of his way to make sure we had a spacious car at a great price. We had a new Chrysler 300C that easily fit the 10 of us. Our driver, Will, was perfectly on time and very friendly. Most importantly, he got us around the Burlingame and SF quickly and safely. After Hours Limousines is an extraordinary company. Here are all of the most important details: - I reserved the 20 passenger white Hummer stretch limo. - Our total was $1300, all expenses (tip) for the limo included. - My group had it for 8 hours total. - Originally, we reserved it for 7 hours, with the 7th hour being free (essentially we were only paying for 6 hours and Oscar kindly added in the 7th hour "for free" as he put it). - For the 6 hours we were paying for, it was $200 an hour. ($1200 for all 7 hours (remember the 7th hour is free!)) - After reevaluating things, we decided we needed more time and we reserved it for an additional hour, making it 8 hours total. This extra hour was half off, so we only had to pay $100 more to make it a grand total of $1300 by the end of it. Oscar is an incredible manager. From my very first call to the company, he was kind and patient, which was much appreciated since I had dozens of questions from the get-go. He always made time to thoroughly answer them and it made me know that my eventual choice in this company was the right one. He is well-organized and gets the job done right away. Julio was our driver for the night, and was truly a saint. Despite the fact that we were nearly 45 minutes late from leaving our pick-up point, he was patient. He is very prompt in response to texts and phone calls, whenever we needed to be picked up from wherever, he was even faster in getting us from whatever location we were at. I've had nightmare experiences with other limo companies where the A/C didn't work, drivers were late, lacked any form of good service, etc. This is why I rewarded, Oscar(owner) and After Hours Limo, my business over and over again. Limo Selection: I usually book the 20 passenger hummer limo, it's great. Recently I booked a Chrysler (seats 10 if I recall correctly), which was amazing too. Everything was in working order and clean. Communication: Oscar is great, he replies promptly via email, calls, text, etc. His drivers are also great and very professional. Price: The best so far too, I've been quoted 20-40% higher from other companies. Oscar's price always includes the grats and taxes too, which other companies will fail to mention. Their cars are newer and have updated sound and dvd systems and come stocked with glasses and some house alcohol and water. They are always on time, and Oscar is really accommodating and easy to work with. I called Oscar at AHL to inquire a ride for 5 adults + 1 baby during my mother-in-law's funeral last week. We only spoke once 2 days before the funeral, he emailed me some forms to complete and fax back, which I did the day before the funeral... he was very accommodating and respectful during our hectic schedule and just took care of us. Rowena was our chauffeur for the day and she was very pleasant and helpful in every way possible. She gladly assisted us by attaching the car seat for my 1yo niece and putting all our random stuff in the car while we had to go in and out from the mortuary, church and cemetery. They also had chilled water & sodas available for us. I had the BEST birthday ever and a lot of that was due to After Hours Limousine! There was constant communication throughout the planning of the event. The actual day went without a hitch! Now let's talk about the limo, it was so nice! Chrysler 300 stretch! The limo came with an iPod/mp3 connection so you can play your hits all the way to your destination. There was also a wine cork screw so that you can pop open some nice wine if you run out of the complementary champagne that the limo comes with. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there was no intercom system to communicate with the driver. The only way we could communicate was via text/calling the driver. I felt safe though because there were three fire extinguishers in the limo (one in the driver's area, one tucked away in the main part of the limo, and one in the trunk) and there were two exits. One thing I respected was the honesty and integrity of the company as well. I forgot three bottles of wine that were very exclusive and only offered to club members who participated in a private barrel tasting. Both the driver and the owner acknowledged that the bottles were in the limo and within 48 hours, the owner brought the bottles to my house (I live over 30 miles from Hayward). This place is SHADY! After using this limo service for a friend's birthday around SF it felt like a great night. I accidently left my phone in the limo and realized immediately. I tried calling 5-10 min after he dropped us off.The phone would ring, ring, and then go to voicemail. I wasn't too worried because I knew it was safe and it would be returned to me... BOY WAS I WRONG! The phone was fully charged but somehow it was turned off 45min after he dropped us off. The driver, Carlos claims he didn't see anything. Which is a complete LIE, how would the phone switch off by itself? After calling Carlos the following day his # "wasn't accepting phone calls".. right.. I then called the owner, he fake helped by "searching" the limo". He should have asked Carlos where it went. The part that really sucks is that i was willing to give a $400 reward considering that phone had important work contacts and pictures of my father who recently passed away and i can't get anywhere else. THANKS AFTER HOURS LIMOUSINES. I hope keeping that IPhone 4 was worth it! PS i finally tracked my phone but he sold it to someone is Seattle. THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES! Wow! Some great reviews out here for AfterHours! I felt the same in the beginning... u know planning the gf's bachelorette party, want a great company, great price, fun driver, everything. I spoke to Oscar on phone, he was nice, helpful, & gave me a decent price. He said I would like the white Expedition since they didn't have black. It really seemed like nothing could possibly go wrong since I had shared with him some of the things that went wrong with my last limo experience. He assured me that he & his employees were on it! Oscar emailed me a contract, I printed, signed, scanned, & emailed it back with cc info for the deposit. I also emailed him a detailed Google map of the places we intended to go ( all routed out) he said he would give to our limo driver who would have GPS. He phoned me & let me know that he needed my 3 digit code w/exp date in order to process my card. I left him a vm the same day with the info. I called him the next day to see if he had in fact received my vm & confirm that we were all set. He asked me to call him back a few days prior to my event & we could confirm then, I kindly reminded him that my event was Sat (day after tomorrow). On the night of my event all the girls gathered at my home where we waited for Carlos our limo driver to arrive at 7:00. He called at 7:20 to say he'd be late & he was close by. He arrived around 7:35 & never came to the door to announce his arrival... just waited out on the car. He asked for my cash payment which I gave him (cash in an envelope). We arrived in the city and entered our destination to have dinner. Carlos our driver was txting me from outside the restaurant. He asked me to come outside after quit a bit of back and forth. I finally agreed at 11:30. When I cam outside he and his fellow limo pals gathered. He told me that the envelope I gave him shorted him $100 & that he had phoned Oscar to let him know. He said I could pay cash or have Oscar add it to my card later. Now I am not happy, separated from my group, out on a cold windy corner calling Oscar to get to the bottom of this. Oscar said he would charge $250 total to my card b/c he never did charge the deposit he should have a few days ago when he first got my information. I didn't want to argue with him & had had enough of that cold corner so I returned to my party indoors. When we were ready to leave Carlos picked us up and took us to one of the clubs on our list. We had a very brief stay after one of the girls in our party had to "talk us into the club" isn't that what limos are for? At least that's what Oscar bragged about on the phone.. no cover & v.i.p line with your limo. Now we are all back in the limo with one final destination in mind but Carlos decided it was time to lecture us. He leaned his head in to the limo & had all of our attention. He began to complain that I shorted him money, told his boss that he was late, and began to scold us & reassure us that we would get our "10 minutes overtime" at the end of the evening to make up for being late. He went on & on as we all sat with our mouths open in disbelief that he would ruin an evening for my innocent bride to be! One of the ladies finally had to interrupt & explain to him that his behavior was inappropriate! Can you say "unprofessional"? The final insult to injury after I had mentioned that Oscar said he would give our driver the map I sent.. not only did he not have a map, he had no gps, & allowed one of the ladies from Alabama guide him around with her iPhone! Lame! She was so upset b/c he couldn't get it right. Due to this ...we missed our last stop, they were closed... we spent the rest of our night just driving around b/c the limo driver had no GPS. We no longer needed over time.... we just took the limo back home to the 408! Nothing else is open! Unfortunately the story does not end here. Oscar phoned me the following Tuesday when I was out of the country with bad reception talking about he needs my cc info again as he cannot seem to locate it. The sound was soo horrible I told him I'd have to phone him back. In the meantime my cc company had alerted me that someone (After hours limo) had try to put a charge through 8 times. Real professional, lose information from customer, know that the evening did not go well, do not call to discuss it, just charge the card! When I returned home I called him & checked in to see if he even knew half of what went on that night. Mostly he dismissed me, implied that I made up the story of Carlos & his confrontation, & to top it all off asked what I did to the limo as it smelled when Carlos brought it back & I was lucky I was not being charged for that! What a SCAM! Not one of us was the least bit intoxicated so it must have been one of Carlos' "Afterhours" girls that had too much to drink & then tried to pin it on us. Our driver arrived 30 minutes early, called my phone and expected us to leave then because he was "on a schedule", and was irritated when I said we were going to stick to the original time. Although I was told we could let the driver know if we wanted to make any additional stops and pay for them on the spot, the driver refused to stop at one of the girls' house which was ON THE WAY to the club to pick up her id, excluding her from a limo ride she paid for. The driver drove 90+ mph on the freeway from Castro Valley to SF, and wasn't friendly, charming, or likable in any way. What did I pay damn near $400 for?! read more

The concern that I expressed to the owner is one that I believe every potential customer should be made aware of and it is that the eight passenger vehicle there was no way for us to contact the driver in the event of an emergency. No operational telephone/intercom or window was available in the vehicle. Given the recent fatalities of passengers in limousines, I was annoyed to learn of this safety hazard. I specifically queried the owner Oscar about their safety procedures in advance of making the reservation due to my concerns. He completed misrepresented the company's standards and safety procedures. As a result of this looming concern, I felt terribly uneasy during the entire trip.
