Apparently she wants to answer the phone & have you talk while she doesn't speak or reply because that's what all the other patients do when they call in is immediately spill your name. bday. address phone. blood type & reason for your call before she speaks in return. I came in to the dental office with great excitement, because I had not had any dental care for at least 3 years. A few years before this office visit I had 2 wonderful dentists who were helping me keep my teeth in good health. The dentist who saw me was condescending and sadistic. He ruined two of my healthy teeth by being two aggressive while treating a cavity. The filling mixture covered three teeth instead of filling just one that had the cavity. I left not even aware that he had done this. He didn't even check my "bite" to see that my teeth were correctly aligned. I was very disappointed with his work and his condescending attitude. I saw Dr. Dmytruk at the Thurston office today. I can't EVEN tell you how WONDERFUL this Dr. is!! I have been in the dental field for 30 plus years and I have NEVER had a nonexistent Novocain shot like this... had absolutely no clue he was even doing it until I started to feel numbness!! Super nice guy as well. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because my appointments always get changed. However, they were able to accommodate me today after I got a little irritated with them. I get that there is a shortage of employees right now but this was the 3rd time they wanted to reschedule THIS appointment and I just wasn't going to have it. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the doctor is amazing. I had to have an emergency extraction done during these pandemic times of covid. The t were patient and professional despite myself having a huge phobia of dental work! Dr along with his lovely assistant took grand care of me. As well as the ladies working the rest of the office scheduling and paperwork- I felt safe, which was important to me during these critical times. Went to get a tooth extracted, and Dr. Larson, who had given me a weeks worth of penicillin two weeks earlier, proceeded to inject me where I still had an abcess...causing nearly two minutes of excruciating pain (that's a LONG time). Then, he broke one of my crowns (destroyed it actually), AND left part of the tooth! I was then offered services from other Crisdental offices. Would you go back to the people who injured you? No! Staff and assistants were very friendly and professional, and the location is wheelchair accessible. ..although, in my opinion, no one should ever go to this place. I had to get emergency treatment the next day, and will be replacing the crown...and sending them the bill. To undergo numbing of the gums so my teeth could be cleaned below the gum line November 2011: I went to a different dentist (Dr Lester on Crescent.) Dr Lester prescribed the following: 1. Your teeth look good, keep doing what you're doing. We'd like to see you in 6 months. THE DENTIST: My boyfriend went in for an appt yesterday after the holiday weekend. He was in the worst pain that he has ever experienced in his life, he hadn't slept in over 24 hours and had been able to barely eat anything due to the amount of pain that he was in. The dentist said that the pulp was effected and that the most pain a person can face when it comes to tooth pain is going to come from the pulp. With that being said he was given an antibiotic and nothing for the pain. I have never seen him in as much pain as he is in right now, and Hayden Dental did NOTHING to help him. If that's not malpractice i don't know what is... THE OFFICE STAFF: He had authorized me as a person who can verify things on his account and also change them if needed, since he is unable to talk without being in extreme pain and they said that they "didnt have note of that" when i called back to confirm his follow up appt. read more

BEWARE! You get what you pay for... Or Less, in this office. Comparatively low prices, but... YIKES!!! It would take pages to list the health issues that both my wife and myself have suffered as a result of using this dental office. Total misdiagnosis, extended periods of antibiotics and opiod pain medicine weeks on end, and we were told it was NOT a tooth problem. Went to another dentist who took one look and said "There it is!" and then removed a severely rotted tooth under a crown. All sides were rotted, but Dr. Larson had declared it was not a tooth, and sent us back to our PCP. On myself, it took 9 visits and more than a YEAR to get an ill fitting poor quality flipper for my top front teeth! read more

Probabaly one of the worst dental experiences ever. Went in for a root canal and a week after the procedure my gums were extra sensitive, after further inspection of the gums around the tooth i found what looked to be a blue string coming up from my gums. I called the dentist right away and was informed that i needed to be seen as soon as possible. The string turned out to be something they should of took out right after the procedure, its purpose was hold the gums down for the impression to be taken and then removed.Well it was removed just a week later.I would not recomend this office to anyone , the office over charged me for my visit and scheduled my visit only to call me a day before and tell me that i needed to move my visit hours ahead. Dr Larson was not very friendly and smelled strongly of dryer sheets. I wish he would have been more friendly and not so awkward. He seems like he hated his job, maybe he does since he is old. I was disappointed to say the least. The dental hygienist was pretty nice, except kept making my gums bleed. I will be finding a new dentist. read more

Awful!!!! Rescheduled me 3 times for a cleaning and when I came in for my appointment said I was scheduled only for Xray no cleaning. When I complained I was immediatly cornered in the exam room by assistant, receptionist and dentist yelling at me calling me a liar telling me I could get a visual exam or get out. It was by far the most bizzare things to ever happen to me I ended up just walking out. Its my understanding they are only in business because they are one of the few dental clinics for OHP members so the majority of their clients have no other options for dental care. read more

I can't stand going to the dentist. That being said my experience today was good. They were professional and explained every step along the way. We were seeing Dr. Hayden at what is now Advantage Dental for a few years. I have good teeth and only had to go in for cleanings except for this year. I had an old filling that needed to be replaced and I had a cavity that needed to be filled so they did it on the same day. The old filling was done when I was 15 (Now I'm 22) by Dr. Cadaret (right across the hall from Hayden Dental) and I hadn't felt any pain or discomfort before this appointment with Hayden. When Dr. Hayden numbed my mouth, he began drilling before my mouth was completely numb and then the assistant said "Can you feel that?" Maybe it was the look of pain on my face that gave it away. The rest of the appointment went as planned and I went on my way. For a few weeks the tooth that he had replaced the filling on was so sensitive that I went back in and he said he didn't file it down enough and that it was hitting my back teeth; fair enough. He filed it down and it relieved most of the pain but I still to this day have sensitivity that I never had before that appointment but after this experience I was done with them, and was happy to learn my insurance no longer covered them. Aside from this experience, the hygienist Jenny was terrible. She shared way too many personal information, such as how her stepfather was a child molestor (or something along those lines) and how one day, a patient came in that seemed to be transgender and how she "couldn't tell if it was a man or woman" and how "gross that is". Completely unprofessional and unacceptable in a hundred different ways. Dr. Hayden had the worst bedside manner I'd ever seen and seemed more worried about his fashion sense then his patients. Kelly at the front desk was the only person that was ever helpful and kind to everyone that came in and she always had a smile on her face. Hayden Dental is no longer, but is now Advantage Dental and from what I understand, Dr. Hayden is no longer working there but even with his absence, it is still not a dentists office I would ever recommend to anyone simply due to the way things are handled here. I've been to this clinic for the last year went okay besides every time I saw a new dentist! The last two times have been a nightmare!!! The first time the lady working on my mouth gave me a very painful shot with NO warning the second time (a few days ago) I got the same lady who was mor interested in watching the television set than she was cleaning my teeth. Had very sharp objects in my mouth and would be grinding away St my teeth while looking up at the t.v. not watching what she was doing!!!! After horrible service, our insurance being charged for a root canal not preformed we decided to change dentist. I have called at least a dozen times trying to receive our films. After leaving ten messages about needing our records and all of them going unanswered, I called saying I needed dental services. And quickly got a call back. They still didn't send release forms. Finally my husband went in and they told him he couldn't have his records unless they emailed them. Neither us or our new dentist has received our films. This outfit has been an horrible experience. Please be careful using them. They will do anything to keep you from leaving. They are well known for their practices here in town. Sadly I didn't know till I was too late. read more

I brought my 9 year old grandson in this last Friday (10/18/13) to get 3 cavities filled. They recommended I wait in the waiting room, and he was taken back to see the dentist. About 45 minutes later, my grandson and a man (don't know his credentials) came to me, and the man said that I would have to reschedule for another time. He said that they had administered the numbing agent, but that it was too close to their lunch hour, and he would have to come back at a later date. I couldn't believe I had just heard him say that! My grandson was missing school, at a scheduled appointment, but it was their lunch time and he would need to come back at a later date. Not one to make a scene in front of my grandson, we walked out. Went there on Thursday with a serious infection, they gave me an antibiotic and said it should be fine by the evening, I had to go to the ER Friday morning around 2:30, they drained the infection and gave me pain medicine.It is now Sunday and tooth is still infected, another case of doctors discriminating against the poor, because If you have a buzz cut and tattoos with no insurance you must be a drug addict read more

Horrible bedside manner and customer service. I went in because a cavity they filled was causing me pain when I bit down. The verdict was they were going to have to redo one of my fillings because " somethimes the mechanics go wrong," is that another way of saying we messed up? They couldn't get me in right then so I had to reschedule. When I did they couldn't get me in until May, it's the end of February now. I told Kelly at the front I couldn't wait that long. She said she just had to get me on the schedule but would work her magic. All that right there is bad enough. They messed up and them fixing the problem right away should be their biggest priority. I called the next day to see if anything had opened up and she casually said she didn't have anything on the books. I said I needed to get in by the end of the week because I was in pain. "Oh, if it is that bad I will see what I can do," said Kelly. I responded that the pain was the reason I came in in the first place!!! She called back within 10 minutes and got me in the next day. This is not the first time with Hayden dental that I have had to put my foot down in order for anything to get done. This will be the last time I see them. I've been waiting over a year to get a cavity filled. Every time I near my appointment date they insist that I get another cleaning before I get a filling. I was sooo close to finally having my tooth filled when they changed they're name to advantage (was Hayden) Apparently, the change in name only constitutes a new consult, then cleaning, then filling with each appointment set at least 3 months apart. My teeth are in pretty good shape aside from being a little crooked and having one or two small cavities. About a month ago, after my new consult, and the dentist confirming that my teeth look pretty good, I received a letter from my insurance company letting me know that they denied the reimbursement request for having my tooth pulled, since it was cosmetic and my records show no sign of needing the extraction. Wtf? I didn't have a tooth pulled! I didn't have anything done!!! They took X-rays while making really uncomfortable small talk over me. These people are crooks. Most recently (still haven't gotten that filling) I was experiencing massive swelling in my gums, bleeding and severe pain. I gave them a call and explained my emergency and after putting me on hold for 20 min they told me that I'm more than welcome to come and sit in the waiting room, every day, until somebody no-shows their appointment. When I asked if they could refer me someplace else since it IS after all an emergency the receptionist actually laughed at me and then assured me that they really don't mind me waiting around their office for "as long as it takes." read more

Don't waste your time here. I was assigned this clinic through my insurance, otherwise I would've said 'forget it' long ago. I was having a dental emergency, my tooth was broken and painfully infected. They gave me a prescription for antibiotics and sent me home, promising they would call me as soon as they got preauthorization from my insurance. I waited and waited, calling every two weeks asking what the hold up was. They just kept giving me the run-around. After over 5 weeks, I finally called my insurance and found out crisdental wasn't answering any of their requests for more info, so the claim was denied. So here I am, waiting almost 2 months for an "emergency" appointment, in worse condition than when I started. I've never had a worse or more frustrating experience just getting an appointment set up! I mean, what the heck are they doing there all day? They NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. I had to call another branch to tell them to pick up the phone! I switched to another dentist this morning and got an appointment right away. read more

This is more about the Denture clinic that shares Crisdentals office. They were absolutely horrible. I had one man i dealt with while they were making my dentures, in three different fittings it was quite obvious the upper denture was to big for my mouth, i could not close my lips around them and they just fell off the roof of my mouth every time. Instead of correcting this they went & made them, when i came in to pick them up a completely different man was there & a woman trying to convince me & my mother that they were just perfect. When I complained they told me I could try something called "tissue regeneration", I made the appointment & arrived promptly at my appointment time to sit in the office for an hour & then for the office staff to tell me that they all had left & my appointment was really for a half hour earlier. When i showed them the appointment card they basically did everything they could to get me out of there without causing a scene. Because I realized this was not the receptionists fault, I called & left a message asking them to call me back & arrange a new appointment, I did this three times with no response. They left me with dentures that are so over sized I vomit when putting them in, I cannot eat with them, i can't even close my mouth around them & this place has done nothing to rectify the situation. I don't recommend them to anyone. If they are going to make your dentures RUN AWAY! If they mess up, they will just ignore you, try to charge you for appointments that they disappeared for & then blame it on you & do nothing to fix the messed up dentures they have made for you. I would recommend them to NO ONE, but alas the poverty stricken with messed up teeth have no choice, try to do whatever you can to switch denturists if the OHP is making you go to them. or wait until you can get on a different dental plan, I would do ANYTHING to have been able to go to someone else for my dentures. read more
