BEWARE OF SHADING BILLING!!!…read more I brought my 15 year old daughter here for removal of her 4 wisdom teeth. She chose to not be put under general anesthesia. They initially charged me for general anesthesia, just in case. I didn't realize this until they later sent me a bill for about 100 bucks, stating I have a balance owed. I compared their bill to the insurance claim and low and behold I found the discrepancy charge for general anesthesia which meant I actually would be needing a refund. Boy was this difficult to get. Multiple phones calls, the women who does insurance told me they no longer accept my insurance and next time I will have to deal with insurance. Ok well I don't plan on removing any more wisdom teeth or having more kids so I am ok with that. In the end they told me they can't even issue refunds but instead a third party does and instead of refunding me the payer and adult eventually they cut a check to my daughter. This took over 6 months to resolve and like I said multiple calls. This could have damaged my credit having a bill owed. Double check any bills they send against your insurance claim as these people are shady. Some other information that might be useful to those looking for dental extractions. The bed side manner of the dentist preforming the work was to say the least creepy, he didn't numb her enough as he was annoyed she didn't want to be put under. He would have to stop when she was in pain and crying to re numb her. He whistled while he did the work, while my 15 year was crying. He just acted like he couldn't hear her.

(A root left over after my crowned molar had completely disintegrated underneath the crown and it came off. And the root had had 2 root canals done on it.) Then proceeded to give me the usual breakdown regarding of what the expect and what to do and what NOT to do pre and post op and was out the door in a flash. I was given hard copies for the instructions and prescriptions. And was told the office would call with a date for surgery. It took another month and finally, on my birthday, I headed in. I won't go into and details but suffice it to that the experience that I got that day in the office in comparison to what my journey there had been like, it was absolutely stellar! I arrived late, apparently they'd wanted me in earlier and that procedure itself was scheduled at that time. When I explained my situation, a car issue and other stuff I won't get into and that I lived 2 1/2 hours away and I have shoulder problems with driving long distances, the office person was very sweet and told me that they may be able to do it still since I was only having local and no sedation but she'd have ask the doctor. A few minutes later she came back and said that they'd go ahead and do it. For everything I went through that day, I nearly freaked out when Dr Tucker said, "Ok, we're all done." I said, "Seriously, dude? After only 15 minutes tops, we're done?! Ya gotta be sh*t*ing me Doc!? 15 minutes and you're all DONE?! Lord have mercy! This has been like the best birthday present ever in my life! I bet a client's never told you THAT before!" And they all laughed. Dr Tucker told me I might want to wait till the local wore off before I made any final conclusions on that. We all laughed again. And, indeed, the next day I experienced some achiness that was very deep and had to take stronger meds so I could sleep at night. But otherwise, "Still the best birthday present ever!" "In, out, done! Fabulous!"

My last dentist, it took weeks just for them to then turn around and have to seek approval from the insurance a second time because designing the crown took so long. I cannot overstate how nice it was to just get it all done in one vist. Both doctor Lee and Haelee were friendly, included me in their conversation even when I could only respond with a thumbs up and they even went the extra mile of getting rid of calsification even though it wasn't originally in the plan. If you are looking for a Dentist, I highly recommend McKenzie Dental Center. Their hours are flexible, when I say I need an appointment while my kids are in school, they make sure to find something that works for me and I never have to wait long for anything.

They did not inform me and we could have done the cleaning 2 days ago but no one notified me, so in the end I was left with paying $75. for their new plan plus an additional $210. just for the cleaning that would have been covered under my original plan, I said no and I will be looking for a new dental office going forward.

Instead, I was given a bunch of x-rays (which is normal) and then a gum doctor and regular doctor looked at me for maybe 3 minutes each, before they were trying to tell me I needed a bunch of complicated laser treatment. I was then prompted into a room where they went over cost of said treatment and I was told I'd need to spend 2,000 dollars out of pocket for it. I have good teeth, and the doctor even said as much, but yet they were still trying to upsell me on this super expensive treatment I didn't need. When I told them that I wasn't interested they then tried to tell me they would knock 700 dollars off by postponing the laser, and just doing something else, and that it would've just over 1,000 dollars. When I said that I just wanted to get my cleaning and be on my way, they said they would not do a cleaning for me unless I got this 2,000 dollar treatment. I have never had a dentist office try to upsell me on things like I was in an auto shop trying to get an oil change. It was sleezy and unethical. This office is a scam and I would absolutely not go here if I were you I'm sure aspens response to this comment will be something like "we are sorry, each care plan is specifically crafted to each patient" like it is to every other comment in here. But if everyone in here has similar complaints, which is that aspen tries to oversell you on a bunch of complicated treatments you don't need, then clearly it isn't crafted to each patient, an this is just their playbook. Absolutely do NOT go here.

Then I get a message from a debt collector for my bill. DO NOT GO HERE, it's a scam.

This office is a nightmare! I'm a 17-year highly decorated veteran with multiple disabilities,…read morediseases, and medical/mental conditions. Dr. Kennedy refused to provide reasonable accommodation(s) for my disabilities as required per ADA and blatantly discriminated against me based upon my numerous disabilities etc., also major violations of state and federal laws. Peak refused to provide pre-operative pain management and control and again refused to provide a specific plan for treatment of post-operative pain management & control. Dr. broke additional laws by wrongfully instructing me to take more of my chronic pain medications, prescribed separately by my PCP for my severe spinal cord injuries, etc., for off label acute dental pain due to severe dental infections because he didn't want to prescribe narcotics for this ongoing severely acute dental infection pain. Due to Peak Dental's willful gross negligence, medical abuse & neglect, medical malpractice, & medical abandonment, I have now developed life threatening blood infection affecting my heart. There is absolutely no compassion with anyone at Peak Dental. They referred me to OHSU knowing that OHSU is not accepting any new patients even emergency patients. Instead of doing the right thing and performing the required oral surgery, Peak Dental (Dr. Kennedy) decided to dismiss me as a patient to just let me die from the life-threatening dental infection or commit suicide when my military service-related PTSD, depression, and extremely severe acute pain become just too much to endure. Wife plans to sue them all when I die. They lie and say they care for us veterans but in reality, they don't give a crap if we live or die as long as they make a profit and do as little as possible. AVOID this practice at all costs. I will be filing formal complaints and civil suits in the near future assuming I live long enough.
