It's been twice that I got unexpected bills…read more Basically the clinic does all the treatments they want and doesn't care what your insurance covers. After the check-up, they just bill you everything. Of course, they do ask you if you want the treatment or not. However, it's the PATIENT'S responsibility to know which benefit cover every year, every six months or no cover. If you don't know your insurance coverage, but you choose to do it. It's YOUR responsibility. They will not tell you this insurance covers or not because they don't look up ahead of time until they are doing their billing. They only care if they get paid. Same thing for returning. They don't care if you have previous records or not, and they don't want it. So, they can charge you if the insurance doesn't cover. Based on the billing lady said, "It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to know your coverage and which date what benefit you have used." The billing lady also said, "If you have any problem to pay in full, the doctors are very nice. They allow to make monthly payments." even though I could avoid those charges. By the way, the billing statement only shows the ending balance and doesn't have the detailed billing if the records of billing and the insurance payments are in different months. I guess I just had been so lucky that I didn't need to watch my insurance coverage so closely until now. Even though the doctors and hygienists are nice, they don't know why they cannot keep the patients because this kind of things the billing lady won't tell any one in the clinic. Or, that's the way they run the clinic. I just don't know.

They told me this was in violation of their contract and they could not see him (4 days before the appointment). They offered that I could change his entire insurance carrier....something I have not the time nor inclination or even possibility to do. I cancelled the appointments with both kids. They wasted my time and now I have to wait again for new appointments when my kid has a dental issue. I called Oregon Kids Pediatric Dentistry and they gave me specific instructions on how to change JUST the dental piece of the insurance, and made sure I understood completely both the why and the how and got my kids scheduled. I recommend you use them instead.

Dr Jeff proved to be a clear thinking pragmatist, presenting possible solutions, from best case to full restoration, in a clearly explained manner. Otherwise, you could waste months thinking you have an appointment when you don't. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this office. I scheduled what I was told would be an emergency appointment back on June 9, 2025, for August 27, 2025 -- I waited 11 weeks and 4 days thinking I had a confirmed time to be seen for an urgent dental issue. When I showed up and waited nearly an hour, I finally asked the front desk about the delay. That's when I was informed -- for the first time -- that this wasn't actually an appointment, but a "waiting to be seen" situation. This was never communicated to me during scheduling or check-in. To make matters worse, I was told that real emergency appointments are now being booked into January 2027. How is that acceptable for urgent care? This kind of miscommunication and lack of transparency is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to people dealing with dental pain or urgent needs.
