Let me just say, she has definitely taken the baton and run with it. She's kind and knowledgeable, as one would hope, but she's also something I didn't know I needed in an optometrist: she's someone who does more than simple eye exams, but spots actual medical issues and refers out as needed. As I was in her room just today for my annual exam, I took notice of her MANY degrees on the wall, and suddenly the mystery was solved. This is a sharp and very educated doctor, who clearly takes her job and patients seriously. She spotted my son's keracotonus five years ago, she spotted my high blood pressure that my doctors were telling me not to worry about (last year, but also asking me about today even before my exam - for a moment I was confused, like, "are you my primary, what is even going on??"), and she has been instrumental in getting me to the right people for some last minute ophthalmologist issues otherwise. Shouts out also to Olivier, who remains a delightful fixture since it was Dr. Decarlo's practice (and always guides to the right frames to best flatter your face), and I also appreciate their low pressure sales - they've cheerfully given me my prescriptions for the past few years to fill elsewhere, without making me feel bad or guilty for not purchasing glasses through them -- though Olivier always offers thoughtful and excellent guidance with respect to the right frames to best flatter/fit, otherwise. I've noticed that what sets her apart from other optometrists is how she cares for every patient and genuinely does her best for each one. I often get in for an eye exam the same day I call and am able to get glasses that are fully covered by my vision insurance. Prices are very reasonable and they have a great selection of both frames and contacts. The opticians Monica and Olivier are also great at what they do! They have so much experience in the field so they can quickly tell what glasses look and fit best on patients. Always love coming here.

The doctors are very knowledgeable and care about their patients. The office personnel are experienced and friendly. I have had last minute situations with appointments and prescriptions that have been addressed with care and concern. I appreciate the explanations, as well as follow-up discussions, if needed. They take time to be thoughtful about their answers, when I have them. The office is equipped to handle your eye care needs. I have even ordered the glasses that I wear at this office. They have their own parking lot in front of the office building. I have never had a problem finding a parking spot. I highly recommend the Eye Treatment Center. They are worth a drive!

However, when I came in, my cost was increased to $185 because they now needed to give me a new eye exam. That rubbed me a little the wrong way, I don't like when businesses do that, especially when it was confirmed on the phone that my cost would not exceed $80. Okay, moving on... My Dr was Nguyen. It felt wonderful to have the lenses in my eyes and be free of wearing frames on my face. I told the Dr. I was interested in daily lenses, however, there was a new brand he was aggressively pushing that was a monthly wear. I had to tell him four times that I wanted daily samples, and I was interested in daily wear, not 30-day lenses. I would have received only the brand he was pushing, not samples of other brands, which didn't matter because I was unsuccessful in getting my lenses out during their training. The girl had me look in a mirror and pinch and squeeze my eyeball to remove the lens. It hurt my eye, and I'm still in pain. I left without lenses and was told to come back and try again. I made an appointment the following day and spent more than 90 minutes in the office during "training". This time, with another office worker who was friendlier and more knowledgeable in her craft, however, it was still unsuccessful. I made it clear that I didn't believe contact lenses were for me. She understood and said I was still in the time frame of receiving a full refund. However, it was at this time that I was then presented with daily contacts, which were much thinner and easier to insert, and more comfortable. I was clear I didn't think I was a good candidate for contacts anymore but would try these. I was then made aware that because of the eye exam I had done (the additional $100 that appeared after I was in the store), I would not qualify for a refund. All together, I lost $185 going to this business. I should have just gone to my eye doctor, America's Best, but I made the appointment on Sunday and was excited to get the glasses off my face and wear contacts, and they were open. Lesson learned: I was not impressed with their services and would not recommend them. My eyes hurt, and I'm still wearing my glasses.
