Eye exam was great. Dr. Choi was very very good. Buying my glasses was not a good experience. I know I am hard to fit because of damage to my nose in a car accident, but still.... First pair of glasses ordered, more than two weeks to receive, and the frame is cracked. Wait some more. Second pair is in good shape, but they were too heavy to be worn comfortably. The person assisting me said I just needed to get used to them. NOT. They ended up giving me pain and headaches if worn for more than an hour. But she could never adjust them to make them comfortable, I went in at least 7 times for adjustment. Got sunglasses too. I had to switch to a different optician in the office to get them adjusted properly. So, paid a lot for two pairs of glasses. But only wear the sunglasses. Regular glasses sit unused in a drawer because they just don't work for me. read more

Second time visit review: Absolutely pleased with the level of care and professionalism from Dr. Choi. I came in for some eye discomfort and irritation. I personally work at an ER and know the treatment I received at Pearle Vision Seal Beach was faster and more effective than the ER (for my concerns). I was also able to purchase some hydrating eye drops to keep my eyes healthy. As always she listens to my concerns and makes me feel heard. The staff is always welcoming and lovely. If you're looking for a new optometrist, I highly recommend this place! Very clean and their equipment looks new. I was greeted and seen immediately. I had a basic eye exam done and also had images taken of my retina. Dr. Choi was extremely nice and walked me through everything and explained the results. It was very informative! Afterwards, I was helped by Will who took great care in making sure I chose the best frames for my taste. They have a vast array of styles to choose from. He was very helpful throughout the entire process. Plus, he said my glasses should be ready in a few days which is so fast! I usually have to wait at least 2 weeks at most other places. Amazing selection of frames and the staff were all super polite and helpful. I have great vision but have a slight astigmatism. I have never bothered to get glasses, nor been able to use my vision insurance for anything other than exams. I did notice with a basic reader type lense correction I could read even the smallest fine print on anything. So I had decided to just buy a pair of readers from CVS. But those were all over $30 if you wanted decent looking frames. So I went to Amazon and found 5 pair for less than $20. And they are fine... but my wife was picking up contacts from Pearle so I was looking at frames. And I found a pair of Emperio Armani frames that I loved and looked good on me. The employee who came to help said that if I was buying readers the lenses were covered and I just had to use insurance to buy the frames. I was all in. They called back a few days later (after I was able to forward my prescription to them) and the lenses were going to be $140! I was shocked so I said no thanks (hence the minus one star). But I was called the next day and told that the frames were covered by insurance and that they can put in prescription plastic lenses for only $20. So I said yes. Let me tell you they custom fit the frames and having prescription readers are better than basic readers as it corrects for the astigmatism as well. I really like the frames. They even threw in a free warranty on the lenses as they said plastic do not always last the two years as they are soft. This place would be 5 * all the way if I hadn't felt the glass lenses seemed like a bait and switch on me. But the staff were super helpful and worked to get me a great pair of glasses. Get a different front office staff! This place is a ripoff! The optometrist is great, but the front office staff especially the manager are a different story. They sell you options you don't need, overcharge for everyone of them too, order takes forever to be ready and turns out wrong... and they'll blame you for it ‍ won't ever return. read more
