One of the great fines in the little town of Anacortes. Local sourced food, great staff along with a wonderful atmosphere makes this a have to try stop. Their salads and burgers are top notch and would highly recommend either read more

I couldn't make it the whole weekend without eating a burger, and here's where I had it. Mmmm... burger. Good food, and the place was featured in Sunset Magazine (I tried looking it up but couldn't find it) and all of the waitresses had bountiful... food that they brought to our table. Delicious, friendly, and interesting people watching as well. Always a good sign when the clientele add to the experience of a great meal out. For fun, check out the Majestic across the way. That's on a short list for a future visit to Anacortes... read more

The food was great. The salad and dressing were tasty, crab cakes were pretty good, and the crab au gratin was heavenly (albeit a bit heart-attack inducing). The food selection was pretty random. The beer selection is small but includes some great choices. The atmosphere at this place was pretty cool, lots of fun random books to read and quirky decor and the bathroom was nice and clean. Where this place lacked was the speed of service. The food came out really slowly. Appetizers, salad, drinks, and entrees took about 2-3 hours total. The first course was very slow to come out, so after I'd drank 1/2 of my beer after not having eaten for a long time, I was quite tipsy. Our waitress was nice enough and they were able to split the check for us, though. ...But not tipsy enough to forgive the slow service. read more

We had a great dinner at Adrift in Anacortes last night. We had a reservation, but large parties before us were lingering so our table wasn't ready. They went out of their way to take care of us. They sat us in their outdoor section and even provided us with Adrift hoodies to keep us warm. The food was great too. Figs in the fruit course were tasty, the thai basil soup was spicy, and the grilled polenta I had was served with roasted tomatoes and peppers that were bursting with flavor. Thanks to the host Shawn and our server Kriena for taking care of us. read more

Fantastic food in an interesting dining setting. Came in for some breakfast / brunch food and found myself wanting to come back sooner than later! Has some of your standard basic brunch foods, but with interesting ingredient combinations that worked extremely well. Dining atmosphere was fairly relaxed and very interesting with the bookshelves and other knick knacks that fills in the room. Service was prompt and quite friendly to boot. Highly recommend eating here if you're in the area read more

The view from this moderately priced restaurant is the best part. We had fish & chips $18) platter which was good, but the batter not as crispy as we like. Three filets & fries, slightly greasy, too, but hey, it's fried cod, so what do we expect? The fries were good, but their tartar sauce was the star. The strawberry lemonade was made w real fruit and it was outstanding. I'd certainly return for the views if not the food. read more

I ordered the halibut burger but wasn't really impressed. It was small for the price. But the service was fantastic and the environment really relaxing. Free Internet too!! read more

Came here based on yelp reviews for good food. The crab cakes were really good, the halibut saffronesca was very good, the crab augratin steak was very good and cooked perfectly. My only complaint, the pre made potato croquet was cold, like out of the fridge cold. Now if this were Applebee's I'd say ok. But it isn't. A $100 dinner should be on point all the time. read more

On two separate journeys to Orcas Island, my sister and I went to Adrift for dinner. I am completely and totally in love with this restaurant. The staff is very welcoming, and they are a very good representation of the chefs' creations. The servers are experienced and professional. On our way back his week, we will be sopping again...a grand memory made, twice...and more to follow! read more

We went here while stay in Anacortes for the art festival. Given it was crowded due to the show. We waited 30 minutes for a table. Friendly staff, good food, but it took 2 hours & 10 minutes to get a table order, eat & pay. I think in the rush of the evening our order was lost. It took 90 minutes for our food to arrive & two of the side dishes were almost burnt. I think the prices are Seattle prices in Anacortes. A bit expensive if you ask me $55 for two. read more

Linner? Lunner? Anyway it was a very late lunch or an early dinner....Fried oysters...it was sooo good that I forgot to take a picture before eating....we also shared a salad which was so delicious and fresh...Nice place, good food and great company...What more could I ask for! read more

Our second visit to Adrift was a great experience, same as the first visit for breakfast last September. The Crab Au Gratin was outstanding. My wife and daughter had the crab cakes which were very good as well. We both had the beet salad as a side which was delicious. The candied pecans on top were a tasty addition. read more

We must have come on the wrong day and ordered the wrong thing. Cute ambiance and good service. I tried the egg biscuit with a side of bacon. Although the biscuit was toasted, it was soggy and it fell apart after 2 bites. The hot sauce selection was great- we had 4 to choose from. My hubby's pancakes were soggy, the raspberry jam was homemade. The bacon had a course black hair in it and coffee refills weren't offered. Anacortes has better offerings. read more

Went to Adrift for lunch recently and was happily surprised. Everything we ordered was good. I ordered my fish cooked dry and with specific very specific instructions (I was on a hedious diet at the time), and they were happy to accomodate my request. The only reason why I am not giving the place 5 stars is because their soup was extra salty and the service was good, not fantastic. read more

Stopped after multi-day kayak trip for much needed burgers. All 3 of us had the skagit burger which was juicy and wonderful. Not overly seasoned meat, doesn't need much. I eat Utah grass-fed beef a lot and this was on par in the flavor dept. Fries had a tad too much dried herb but yummy with garlic aioli. Get a beer and you're golden. read more

My husband and I recently visited Adrift, and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We ordered the blackened cod and cioppino. Both were excellent! If we ever visit Anacortes again, we will definitely return! read more

The food is amazing! Definitely worth stopping and in fact I'd drive a good distance to get here! This "foodie" is not always easily satisfied but both food and service here were awesome. Thai Tomato soup to begin. It was verrrry tasty. Then I had fresh wild salmon, blackened with kale saluted in olive oil, garlic and leeks finished with clarified butter. A mashed potato croquette finished off a delightful supper. We sat at the bar and watched all kinds of food prep. The seasons first halibut was being cut into fillets, desserts being made, this is the real deal folks! read more

The Skagit Burger is delicious. Came here for lunch and enjoyed it. I love the decor inside the restaurant, they've got the Northwest interior design down to a science. Everyone recommended Adrift to us for dinner, but it's mostly seafood and my bf doesn't eat seafood, so I knew it wasn't going to be an option. Breakfast instead! The atmosphere is pretty awesome, with random books scattered (prettily) throughout to keep you entertained while you wait. The service is wonderful - warm, knowledgable, and helpful. The breakfast menu is nice. It's a little pricey, but I didn't feel like we overspent for the quality we received. If memory serves, my boyfriend got a typical breakfast of two eggs over easy, peppered bacon, and toast. I got an egg over medium, something else I can't remember, and 1 pancake. The pancake is huge, and very different (as the menu suggests - custardy and a little tart) but really awesome, and I highly recommend slathering it with the absolutely delicious jam they have instead of syrup (or both!). One of my boyfriend's yolks broke while cooking so it was in no way over-easy, but overall our meal was good and it was a nice experience! read more

I am glad we gave Adrift another shot. This was what I expected them to be. I had a beet salad that was very good. I also ordered a crab cake. I like that you can order 1, 2, or 3 depending if you want an appetizer or entrée. The crab cakes were nice, but the Asian chili sauce, while ok, is not my favorite with crab cakes. The sweetness of the sauce drowns out the crab. I prefer something that highlights the richness and adds to it. I also had the green curry clams. These were outstanding. The portion was generous and the clams were all perfectly cooked and open. The one hang up, and this is minor, curry sauce doesn't taste good with focaccia. It needed naan or flat bread. My wife loved her halibut special. It was a monster portion for a good price. It was cooked perfectly. read more

Wow wow wow. What a great place Dylan was an awesome wait person. The food was way over the top and it was just a great comfortable place to sit. I see that there was the normal few folks that gave this place a bad rap. I would not pay much attention to them. We are here to do a little geocaching and see the area. Lots of fun and it really makes it pleasant when you find a gem like this. ;) read more

This place is a gem! I had the fish tacos and my husband had the pan fried oysters. Both were excellent! Lovely staff.

I had lunch here recently and was pleased with every aspect of Adrift. The menu is extensive with many delicious seafood, meat, and vegetarian options. On the day I was there, the special was a gourmet burger made from Skagit Valley beef and topped with local gorgonzola cheese crumbles, avocado, pickapeppa sauce and aoli. It sounds like a lot of flavors all in one bite, but these flavors worked perfectly together. The other special of the day was the Thai-mato bisque, a creamy tomato soup with a hint of heat and the flavor of saffron and curry. It, too, was absolutely delicious. There was a dessert case packed with goodies, but my stomach was too packed to indulge. Next time... The service was excellent, and I also enjoyed the atmosphere/decor which was an eclectic mix of local and nautical items. What more can be said? Adrift gets it right on every level. I look forward to eating here again on my next visit to Anacortes! read more

I ordered the crab au gratin and it was awsome! I plan to come back and try to get everything off the menu once! Sat outside on the patio, nice quiet view of sown town and saw two deer roam by! We even got free cookies! The staff is really friendly! Looking forward to returning. read more

If I could give this place ten stars I would! We ate there last night - had no problem getting a table for two in about 5 minutes. I was ecstatic at how WARM and cozy the place was - I typically find restaurants to be over air-conditioned - I hear it's too keep customers from staying too long to keep waits down. Anyway, THIS place was perfectly cozy on a brisk fall evening! The decor was fantastic - it almost felt like being inside a cozy little sailboat - very nautical, even books! Loved the copper tables as well. Did I mention how warm the place is?? :) I had a cup of the tomato bisque, with the Brutus salad and blackened salmon. FANTASTIC! My boyfriend pretty much created his own meal that the kitchen had no issue preparing - drunken clams appetizer over linguine noodles. He also had a cup of the cauliflower gorgonzola soup. For dessert we split the tiramisu - my "Tiramisu snob" boyfriend gave it 8.5 stars - which is PFG (pretty f---ing good). The assistant manager served us most of the meal and she was wonderful. We definitely laughed when she brought over a cell phone ban table sign when she caught us both on our cell phones (in all fairness we were both looking at google maps and yelp apps to see what was nearby). But it was cute and fun nonetheless. The ambiance and atmosphere was perfect, the staff was great, and the food was amazing. I honestly would make the trek from Seattle to Anacortes JUST for dinner here. Can't wait to make it back. read more

We shared the clam steamed for appetizer. The garlic broth was wonderful especially with the foccacia. It was a bit expensive at $17 but tasted wonderful. Our first visit here. Ask for a table outside and work promptly seated. However, our host forgot to tell the waitress he put us outside. Once Tess discovered we were here, we had outstanding service. We had the oysters on the half shell and the fish tacos with halibut. I would include pictures, however it was so good we ate it before I could get the camera ready. After eating fish tacos in San Diego for 25 years, I have to say, I've never had halibut, fresh halibut, on fish tacos. It was awesome! Oysters were very fresh and just a touch briny. I can understand why this restaurant has 4.5 stars. read more

This place is the bomb. My colleague and I both got tacos, after her suggestion, and they didn't disappoint. She did the salmon tacos and I did the pork and sweet potato.
