nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant. The dining experience was top-notch as the decor in this establishment reminded me of dining in a high scale, Italian restaurant in Italy. The service was phenomenal where they provide recommendations based off of your likes as well as if you have a preference to certain proteins. They were very attentive and the attention to detail in all the meals and dishes that came out were definitely recognized. We went there for dinner and was seated around 6:30 PM with no issues. As soon as seven came along though there was a line waited to be seated that went out the door.

Adelina is a one of a kind experience. From the ambience to the food and everything in between. Mike, Rob, Chris, and Cindy created a dining experience you'll never forget! I highly recommend the Waygu Meatball, Lamb Chops, Short Rib, the Chittara, and ESPECIALLY the butcher's cut! Make sure to try the homemade Tiramisu. You will not be disappointed!

Adelina has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. When I'm having a bad day or just need a mental break, the food here refreshes my spirit every time. The pasta is perfectly made and so fresh. The wagyu meat ball was probably the best I have had, and I can also say their version of the carajillo made me fall in love with the drink. Just walking in and seeing the modern chandeliers, the elegant bar, the color scheme that is both elegant and contemporary at the same time. The bar tenders in their leather aprons are always well versed in both the drink menu and a wide variety of classic cocktails if you so choose. The wine list is a nice balance of Italian standards mixed in with American grapes that can handle some of the best sauce in the city. The service is nothing short of spectacular as the food ordering experience is brought to you by a team of people ensuring efficiency and excellence. But at the end of the day, the best part of this restaurant and really any restaurant has to be the food and the food here is just superb. After spending years eating mediocre Italian in the city its nice to see places like Adelina, Oak and Reel, and SheWolf really step and elevate Italian food as more than just noodles and sauce.

Low 4 stars. I was impressed by the beautiful interior space and excellent service. The dishes are expensive, and their quality can be hit or miss, depending on what you order. For the price, every dish should hit it out of the park. I enjoyed the Wagyu Meatball, Brussel Sprout Salad, and Branzino. The Wagyu Meatball is big and can be shared as an appetizer among 2-3 people or it can serve as an entree for one person. One of my friends ordered the Fettuccini Al Porcini, and everyone thought it tasted very plain, especially considering it cost $38! I'm just glad I didn't order it.

This place rocked it! Very modern Italian restaurant with a decent size seating area and a medium size bar area. They also have a large table for large parties which we used the evening I dined there with a large party. SERVICE: Outstanding! The place had a great team that took care of us from entry to exit. Very attentive and they kept our waters full the entire evening. Great job! FOOD: Almost perfect. They had a few out of stocks in beverages and food selections, but what we did get was perfect so it did not affect my team's experience one bit (so it did not affect my rating) good recoveries! We tried a lot of things - added pictures. Some of their food changes and they also change their features so try everything!! Had a great evening and will be trying again when I am back in Michigan!! You should try it too.

Despite the hype, Adelina fell far short of our expectations in multiple areas. For a recent special night out, I wanted to find somewhere new and unique. Adelina seemed to be the place to try, and I excitedly booked our reservation, eagerly looking over the menu online as the evening approached. When the night arrived, we were at the restaurant promptly in time for our reservation, but had to wait for a table to become available. We found a pair of seats at the bar and ordered a drink. DH went with an Old Fashioned, but I wanted to sample one of the wines before committing to a glass. His cocktail was ready in a reasonable amount of time, but I had to wait another bit longer for the sample of wine. When I said that I liked it, I had to wait more for them to bring out the small carafe to fill my glass - classy touch, but it delayed us. Right as they brought said carafe, our table was ready. We were asked to cash out at the bar, which I wasn't expecting - most restaurants at this price point will automatically add to the final bill. Both drinks were expensive and his cocktail was not the best iteration of that either of us had ever had. We took our seats and waited for our server. About 5 minutes later a man came by and filled our water glasses and asked us if there was anything else we needed. We asked about putting in our appetizer order and we were told we needed to wait for our server. She arrived about 10 minutes later and was pleasant. Appetizers arrived a while later and both underwhelmed us, which was a letdown, because I had mostly been excited for the octopus. The crab cake lacked flavor and I felt like the breading overwhelmed the texture. The main course was better only because the veal piccata was the only standout of the evening. I would commend that dish. Lamb was very disappointing. Even adding the tzatziki sauce beneath it, it just lacked flavor. Overall the restaurant is elegantly appointed but it is so ridiculously loud inside. DH and I even spent some of the time we were waiting for our server musing on how they could lower the light fixtures to add more acoustic tiles. Throughout the meal it felt like the server was not around frequently enough. It didn't seem that the waitstaff was stretched, because there were plenty of servers, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Even when we had finished and were ready to pay our bill, it seemed to take her forever to come by. For the price, we were extremely disappointed. I wish we had gone elsewhere, especially to celebrate, because it didn't meet our expectations on a number of levels.

Amazing evening out at one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Detroit. With a reservation, we secured a corner table and had a great 2.5 - 3 hour dining experience. We ordered family style across the starters, salads, pastas and entrees and each course didn't disappoint. All four of us had different favorite bites of the night showcasing the depth of Adelina's menu. Short ribs, sausage and peppers, brussels sprout salad, and truffle ravioli to name a few. Dinner was slow paced and the dining room was not too loud which contributed to the overall value of the experience. Excellent evening well worth the price!

My partner and me stopped in here before Pete Davidson's set at the fox. The experience was seamless. We loved our waiter and meal was 10/10!

Came in for dinner and drinks 10/10. This place was packed and a reservation is needed. We waited about 5 minutes after checking in for the reservation. Had the sausage and peppers for an appetizer with the cheese on the side, it was delicious. Had the lambchops and roasted potatoes for an entree 10/10. The espresso old fashioned is amazing and a regular smoked one. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. There is valet parking which is a plus always. Seating is close to other tables, and slightly loud but that is an even trade off considering the food quality. I will return.

After circling for valet for about ten minutes, we decided to park down the street and walk. It was our first visit, and we arrived at 5:05 PM only to find the front door locked, which was unexpected. After knocking, the host stand let us in -- without an explanation or apology, which set a slightly awkward tone to start. We were initially seated at a very small table. When we asked to move, they did accommodate us, though the request didn't seem especially welcomed. That said, Chris, our server, completely turned the experience around. He was fantastic -- knowledgeable, attentive, and even apologized for the earlier odd moments, which we appreciated. We started with the beet salad, which was light and refreshing, followed by the Mediterranean-style octopus, shrimp diavolo, and a bright, super-fresh Mediterranean salad -- all solid and well-prepared starters. For mains, we ordered the filet, cooked perfectly and thoughtfully sliced tableside, the lamb chops (easily the standout dish on the menu), and a side of rigatoni to round things out. While the beginning of the evening was a bit clumsy, the food and excellent service from Chris ultimately carried the night. With a smoother front-of-house experience, this place could be truly outstanding.

I went here to visit during a comedy show. It was located within walking distance to the fox. I had made reservations and was seated quickly. The staff were very attentive and the Manager came out to ask about our visit. The ambiance was busy and upbeat. I ordered the lamb which came with Tzatziki. The lamb was good and cooked well. It was seasoned well and was tender. I will definitely visit again.

I sat at the bar. It was actually pretty packed on a week night so try to make reservations whenever you go. I loved it all tbh! The Amalfi spritz was everything I needed refreshing and light. The Waygu meatball is packed with like a pound of meat so you may want to share that with someone. I couldn't eat it all by myself especially because I wanted room for my pasta. The Chitarra was amazing as well. Lobster and shrimp with the spicy sauce not too spicy though. And the pasta tasted like it was fresh and made in house. Love love love the restaurant was beautifully decorated with holiday spirit but with not too much light so prefect ambiance.

The space is tucked away but had a surprising amount of outdoor space--we were there in January but I'd love to come back in the summer. We were greeted right away and given a spot near the bar. The menu includes cocktails, lots of wine, and several tasty food options. It was quite busy inside, so it took a bit of time for our server to come over to us, but we weren't in a rush. They had ten cocktails on their list and I tried the bullet proof soul and Nate got the negroni alla perra. The ingredients list for some of the cocktails include things I've never heard of, but at a place like this, I just know it's going to be good. Our drinks were perfectly balanced and very tasty. We also ordered the mortadella sandwich to split--this was delicious. It was pretty messy, but worth it. It was perfectly toasted and full of mortadella. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and I would love to try more of the food options. Can't wait to visit again!

Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced.
