Big fan of this spot! Came here for a work dinner and we all left happy with the choice. The appetizers were great; we enjoyed the waygu meatball, octopus, mozzarella in carrozza, and the focaccia. All were fantastic! The truffle flavor in my entrée was fantastic. The service was spectacular- our waters were never left empty, and the server consistently checked up to see if we wanted any more drinks or anything else to eat. Was a very nice ambience for a big or small group!

Everything was great so I'm splitting hairs. I had 1 cocktail and a glass of wine. Both drinks seemed very small. I'm sure both drinks are measured but both could have been drank in two decent swigs. ‍ Once again, splitting hairs!

We visited Adelina for my husband's birthday, and what a great night! The service was exceptional... food came out at just the right pace, our water glasses were never empty, and we were greeted by both the manager and the head chef. The ambiance was perfect for a special night out, but not stuffy. Every bit of food and drink was delicious! I absolutely loved my Spiced Pear-tini, and my husband enjoyed The Kennedy. The Tuna Carpaccio was out of this world, bursting with flavor. We shared our entrées, which were both delicious! You cant beat a dish with homemade pasta and sauce, and the Casarecce did not disappoint. The Veal Parmesan was enormous, pounded thin with a light but crispy breading. We both agreed that the Tiramisu was the best we have ever tasted! Not overly sweet, light and creamy...scrape the bowl yummy!!

We had excellent food - veal Parmesan, halibut, the meatball appetizer, focaccia, and tiramisu for dessert. Would've rated 5 but too many waitstaff per table creates a bit of chaos. Different people asking the same questions. Also it took the valet 3 times before they brought us the correct vehicle. We will return to sample more deliciousness....also very refreshing to see the owner walking about and chatting with guests

Since the hotel is further away from Detroit than I would like I brought a change of clothes to flip to and dine on some of the great places in Detroit. Adelina is a beautiful name for a great place, it looks larger from the outside but the inside was intimate with dimmed lights and a quiet bustle of business as you would expect for a restaurant. Starting off with an Espresso Old Fashioned, an interesting twist with caffeine, a little too murky taste wise but enjoyable. First course the octopus. Deliciously roasted and served with garbanzo puree. And some kind of poorly executed concasser tomatoes. Flavor was spot on and the meat was tender and savory. Hits all the points there. Main, consisted of the beautifully executed mushroom ravioli. Porcini mushrooms and truffles adorn the flavor profile. I ate this one slowly. It didn't miss a beat. Pasta was made in house which is the best way to enjoy any Italian meal. Lastly my server was so cordial and professional she made this a nice visit. Too bad I didn't have anyone to enjoy this with. Next time.

nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant. The dining experience was top-notch as the decor in this establishment reminded me of dining in a high scale, Italian restaurant in Italy. The service was phenomenal where they provide recommendations based off of your likes as well as if you have a preference to certain proteins. They were very attentive and the attention to detail in all the meals and dishes that came out were definitely recognized. We went there for dinner and was seated around 6:30 PM with no issues. As soon as seven came along though there was a line waited to be seated that went out the door.

Adelina has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. When I'm having a bad day or just need a mental break, the food here refreshes my spirit every time. The pasta is perfectly made and so fresh. The wagyu meat ball was probably the best I have had, and I can also say their version of the carajillo made me fall in love with the drink. Just walking in and seeing the modern chandeliers, the elegant bar, the color scheme that is both elegant and contemporary at the same time. The bar tenders in their leather aprons are always well versed in both the drink menu and a wide variety of classic cocktails if you so choose. The wine list is a nice balance of Italian standards mixed in with American grapes that can handle some of the best sauce in the city. The service is nothing short of spectacular as the food ordering experience is brought to you by a team of people ensuring efficiency and excellence. But at the end of the day, the best part of this restaurant and really any restaurant has to be the food and the food here is just superb. After spending years eating mediocre Italian in the city its nice to see places like Adelina, Oak and Reel, and SheWolf really step and elevate Italian food as more than just noodles and sauce.

Adelina is a one of a kind experience. From the ambience to the food and everything in between. Mike, Rob, Chris, and Cindy created a dining experience you'll never forget! I highly recommend the Waygu Meatball, Lamb Chops, Short Rib, the Chittara, and ESPECIALLY the butcher's cut! Make sure to try the homemade Tiramisu. You will not be disappointed!

Had a great birthday here! Ambiance inside is sleek and romantic. Restaurant is a little smaller than I thought but able to accommodate my group of 8 well! The food was great, everyone at my table liked what they got. I got the gnochetti which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Portion sizes are modest- not big but also don't leave you feeling hungry afterwards. My cocktail was great. They gave me a free bday dessert which consisted three scoops of vanilla gelato and a candle which was very thoughtful and appreciated. My friend got the tiramisu which was so so good, coming from someone who doesnt usually enjoy tiramisu. Service was attentive and also quite quick. I would definitely love to come back and try other things on the menu! Also a big plus that you can validate your parking ticket at the adjacent parking structure to get 3 hours free.

Low 4 stars. I was impressed by the beautiful interior space and excellent service. The dishes are expensive, and their quality can be hit or miss, depending on what you order. For the price, every dish should hit it out of the park. I enjoyed the Wagyu Meatball, Brussel Sprout Salad, and Branzino. The Wagyu Meatball is big and can be shared as an appetizer among 2-3 people or it can serve as an entree for one person. One of my friends ordered the Fettuccini Al Porcini, and everyone thought it tasted very plain, especially considering it cost $38! I'm just glad I didn't order it.

This place rocked it! Very modern Italian restaurant with a decent size seating area and a medium size bar area. They also have a large table for large parties which we used the evening I dined there with a large party. SERVICE: Outstanding! The place had a great team that took care of us from entry to exit. Very attentive and they kept our waters full the entire evening. Great job! FOOD: Almost perfect. They had a few out of stocks in beverages and food selections, but what we did get was perfect so it did not affect my team's experience one bit (so it did not affect my rating) good recoveries! We tried a lot of things - added pictures. Some of their food changes and they also change their features so try everything!! Had a great evening and will be trying again when I am back in Michigan!! You should try it too.

Despite the hype, Adelina fell far short of our expectations in multiple areas. For a recent special night out, I wanted to find somewhere new and unique. Adelina seemed to be the place to try, and I excitedly booked our reservation, eagerly looking over the menu online as the evening approached. When the night arrived, we were at the restaurant promptly in time for our reservation, but had to wait for a table to become available. We found a pair of seats at the bar and ordered a drink. DH went with an Old Fashioned, but I wanted to sample one of the wines before committing to a glass. His cocktail was ready in a reasonable amount of time, but I had to wait another bit longer for the sample of wine. When I said that I liked it, I had to wait more for them to bring out the small carafe to fill my glass - classy touch, but it delayed us. Right as they brought said carafe, our table was ready. We were asked to cash out at the bar, which I wasn't expecting - most restaurants at this price point will automatically add to the final bill. Both drinks were expensive and his cocktail was not the best iteration of that either of us had ever had. We took our seats and waited for our server. About 5 minutes later a man came by and filled our water glasses and asked us if there was anything else we needed. We asked about putting in our appetizer order and we were told we needed to wait for our server. She arrived about 10 minutes later and was pleasant. Appetizers arrived a while later and both underwhelmed us, which was a letdown, because I had mostly been excited for the octopus. The crab cake lacked flavor and I felt like the breading overwhelmed the texture. The main course was better only because the veal piccata was the only standout of the evening. I would commend that dish. Lamb was very disappointing. Even adding the tzatziki sauce beneath it, it just lacked flavor. Overall the restaurant is elegantly appointed but it is so ridiculously loud inside. DH and I even spent some of the time we were waiting for our server musing on how they could lower the light fixtures to add more acoustic tiles. Throughout the meal it felt like the server was not around frequently enough. It didn't seem that the waitstaff was stretched, because there were plenty of servers, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Even when we had finished and were ready to pay our bill, it seemed to take her forever to come by. For the price, we were extremely disappointed. I wish we had gone elsewhere, especially to celebrate, because it didn't meet our expectations on a number of levels.

They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. The theme was "Yes, Chef: An exploration of culinary icons through a cocktail lens." Each drink was inspired by or dedicated to a famous culinary icon, and you can read about each one in the index. We each ordered one drink from each section. From the Opening, I chose the Diaspora Club, which was so refreshing and delicious. Then from the Principals, I chose the Chingona, which was a little bit spicy and savory but still so refreshing. To Finish, I chose the Chocolatier Cosmo, which came with a tiny house-made salted dark chocolate. I loved all three cocktails I ordered, especially the chocolatier cosmo because it was perfectly sweet and went so well with the small piece of chocolate. For food, we started off with the crispy pork belly milk bread. For my entree, I ordered the miso butter gnocchi. It was kind of on the salty side but I still really liked it. The apple sofrito added a bit of sweetness to it. For dessert, we had to get the rhubarb coffee cake, which came with strawberry ice cream. Omg one of the best desserts I've ever had!! I never thought of combining cinnamon coffee cake with rhubarb or strawberry but it's perfect, and I might have to make something like that soon. Between the two of us we had the beet salad, burger and steak tartare. Burger was good, but not the best smash burger that I've had. Beet salad was fine, however the cream cheese was a bit overpowering against the orange oil. It was dying for some citrus. Steak tartare was a bit dry, meaning that a small dab of olive oil would have added to the richness and overall mouth feel. I did not really taste the egg although I did see a dab of yolk on the tartare. Needed a bit of salt also to enhance the taste Menu was small, but it did cover a cross section of French bistro dishes. All in all, I thought it was a bit overpriced.
