Staff was sooooo nice. Definitely how I expect customer service to be!! Beautiful decore inside and out. The vibe was everything I wanted it to be. The food was flavorful and delicious and so was the drinks. I will definitely revisit.
Service was flat and non existent, was like we were a burden to the waitress, who definitely had zero personality or care for her diners. The inside was decent, but nothing to say, damn I need to come back here. The short ribs were fatty, although cooked well, tender and very good, just a little skimpy on the portion. The cheddar risotto was very good. The rigatoni was simply a garlic bomb, not much to taste except the overwhelming pungent garlic taste. Another disappointment was the 3% technology fee - WTF? 80 bucks for two enters sans adult beverages and you need to add more to the bill - without mentioning this on the menu - definitely unbaked for. Service, technology fee and underwhelming food means I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Presley's is a restaurant that's part of the Hotel David Whitney. I would never have known it was there if not for Yelp. Thank you Yelp. Valet parking is available as part of the hotel for $15. Once you walk in the hotel's entrance, don't be surprised if you stop and stare a bit. This is a beautiful, old school lobby. It took a moment for the servers to figure out which one of them was going to wait on us, but after that, it was smooth sailing. My wife's hot honey crispy chicken sandwich was served with a sriracha aïoli, which it only needs if you want extra heat, or if you're like me and you like dipping everything. The sandwich itself wasn't particularly spicy, but it didn't need to be. The sauce meant that it wasn't crispy, but it was so delicious that it hardly mattered. This is a good-sized sandwich, large enough that my wife couldn't finish it. Woo hoo... More for me! Both of us opted to pay the extra $1 to replace chips with crispy fries. Excellent decision. Most French dips that I've had have been something akin to an Arby's sandwich with watgravy. Don't get me wrong. I like Arby's, but I don't want to spend fine dining prices for Arby's. This is a cut above French dips you've likely had before. This is thickly cut steak with real beefy flavor. But, you will want to use this dip. It's gloriously clouded with herbs and chopped onion. And, I could have eaten the bread by itself, too. It's a hearty Dutch cheddar bread. It all came together beautifully. I wanted to savor her every bite, but my appetite got the better of me. I just spent two paragraphs talking about a sandwich. Now that's love. We seriously didn't know the price point here. For some reason, my Yelp isn't showing me dollar ratings. This is definitely a $$$ restaurant. I would love to take my wife back here again for a special occasion. But, I was happy that we got phenomenal food that also filled us up for about $50.
I was recommended to Presley's by a coworker, she raved about this restaurant and said they had a great brunch that they make homemade pop tarts and cinnamon rolls. My friend and I decided to give this place to try before the Tigers game and I would say it lived up to the hype. It sits on the corner of Park Street and Woodward, a very convenient walk before the Tigers baseball game. Plenty of parking in the surrounding area from structures lots to street parking. The restaurant is cute nicely with a modern feel for decore. For being a nice size restaurant, it was interesting because they're very limited bathrooms inside the restaurant; however, it's attached to a hotel in which there's more restrooms within the hotel lobby. But you can easily look past this but do note there are options. In the customer service was very efficient, on arrival we were seated promptly with the host, they had multiple host available for this Saturday morning. I can easily see if you came at primetime for breakfast. You would most likely have a wait. Our waitress had wonderful recommendations from drinks to breakfast option to pastries-- I wish I remembered her name, but I would say her favorites are my favorites too (HA!). I started with a breakfast spritz-- with that fig gin and elderflower, it was like having a french 75 for breakfast with a twist! I followed with the garden and goat omelette, this was cooked to perfection. We also had the two egg breakfast at the table. Both had nice presentations. The breakfast potatoes were good. They're the small potatoes versus the shredded- thankfully! The bread I am interested to know if they make this in house as it was really good and I meant to inquire-next time. I tried the chicken sausage on the side, that I could take it or leave it. They were sold out of the pop tarts by 10 o'clock in the morning. The cinnamon buns looked amazing. I didn't try as I was heading to the Tigers game and I didn't want to bring it back to the car, etc. There were no disappointments on our brunch place. I will look forward to coming back to Presley's in the near future.
I checked out Presleys for a late Monday morning breakfast and there weren't a lot of folks there but it was a nice looking place on the first floor of a hotel. The food I had was pretty good including the cinnamon roll and the avocado toast. The servers were nice as well, this is a decent breakfast spot if you're close by the stadiums downtown.
Really nice spot, tons of natural light coming in. Service was on point, the waitresses kept coming by to check if we needed anything, which I appreciate. We went early in the week so it wasn't busy at all. I got the steak and eggs, a 5oz steak with sunny side eggs, potatoes and toast. I asked them to make the potatoes crispier and they did exactly that. The steak was cooked to the right temp and the eggs had the right consistency for sunny side. No complaints. I came with two friends so we shared everything. The homemade poptarts we all agreed on, not great but not bad, just wouldn't order them again. The real star is the fluffy pancakes. Just the right amount of fluffy, and the whipped cream had us guessing what was in it. It's lemon, which is actually on the menu, and it's a good touch. The hanger steak was my 2nd favorite. The kimchi, fried rice and sunny side eggs sound all over the place but it all came together and tasted really good. One friend got the stuffed french toast. I'm not a french toast guy, it's usually a soggy mess, but the hazelnut cream on this one was something different that I actually liked. I also had the morning blend juice, apple, carrot and ginger. Nothing special but it was delicious. Heads up it's pricey, expect to spend over $100 between three people. Still, would definitely come again, we might even come back for the dinner menu. My go-to would be the pancakes to share since I'm a classic breakfast person, then add the 2 egg breakfast, eggs your style, with bacon, sausage and potatoes. Drizzle some sriracha on it and you've got a solid brunch.

Situated in the David Whitney hotel as one of its two bars and definitely it restaurant, Presley's Kitchen & Bar is a great bar to hit up before and after pretty much anything downtown. This is often where I stop walking back to the shuttle from the Lions games and I've never had a bad experience. Walking in from the Woodward side, you are immediately noticing the large modern bar in the center of the restaurant. Aesthetically, Leather seated booth and bar seats mimic the elegance the lobby of the hotel presents, but in a cleaner, leaner model. Being a more cocktail forward bar/restaurant the prices tend to run probably a little higher than typical for these similar items, but the quality and flavors that go into each item is noticeable. I will say, the time I was here for Happy Hour, it was one heck of a deal. Can get a double smashburger and beer for like $20. The food itself is good if not anything that might wow you. You are pretty much guaranteed a solid meal. Service here has always been friendly, but efficiency can be sporadic depending on how busy it is. I would suggest you get your food order ready by the time they ask for your drink order because it might be a while before they come back around. But honestly, expect for that hiccup it's always been a good expererience, although nothing I would go out of my way to get to.

We grabbed seats at the bar and ordered a couple appetizers to share, which turned out to be the perfect move. The spinach, artichoke, and feta dip was served hot and came with warm tortilla chips. When we were down to the last bit of dip, the bartender even brought us a few extra chips so we could finish it off -- a small touch that didn't go unnoticed. We also ordered the PK chicken tender platter, which was perfect for sharing and really hit the spot. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and what stood out most was that they remembered our names when we walked by the next day. It's little things like that that make a place memorable. Definitely more than just a typical hotel restaurant.
I think my expectations were too high for this place. I've been twice now and the service is not it.. always slow and have an "I don't care" attitude. The interior feels a little cheaply made, but this is also a hotel restaurant so that's to be expected sometimes. The food wasn't bad but it took forever to arrive and wasn't amazing for the cost. I don't know I guess I'm just disappointed with this spot. I'm glad some people like it and I do appreciate that they are open before the work day for breakfast!
Immediately the experience wasn't great the but the manager is amazing and redeemed the experience. Our server didn't bring one of our meals out, fries were cold and drinks were wrong. But the manager fixed all of this. We ordered Caesar salads with salmon,truffle fries, burrata, the purse with wine, and a rock and rye old fashioned. All of the food was amazing 10/10. The manager also brought us out a carrot cake which was the best I ever had. We sat outside because it was a nice day and it was fun enjoying the busy street. I will give this place another shot for sure.

Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The Elvis French toast was excellent. It was the perfect sweet treat without being overly sweet. I also enjoyed the lobster roll, which was served on a delicious rendition of Texas toast. I typically do not eat cold lobster rolls, and they were happy to warm it for me. My friend ordered the salmon bowl and really enjoyed it as well. There was a small glitch with our order, but the service truly stood out. Our waitress remained extremely attentive, and the manager took time to personally check on us multiple times to make sure everything was made right. We truly appreciated the level of care and attentiveness shown throughout our visit.
My group and I recently dined at Presley's before heading to a concert at Little Caesars Arena, and the location was absolutely perfect for a stress-free pre-show meal. The restaurant itself was cute and inviting, and we loved that it was situated within a nice hotel that boasted lovely holiday decor, which really added a festive touch to our evening! We started with the shared Street Corn Dip, and it was a great choice! It was tasty, and the accompanying tortilla chips tasted noticeably fresh, which we appreciated. For my main course, I ordered the Lobster Roll, and it was the star of the evening--truly very, very good. The lobster was the best thing I ate, and the presentation was excellent (it even had a nice piece of lobster meat on top!). The fries served alongside it were decent. For drinks, I enjoyed a split of La Marca Prosecco, which was delightful. My friends who ordered cocktails found them to be a little on the sweet side, but I certainly enjoyed my Prosecco selection. Finally, the service was speedy and efficient, which is exactly what you need when you have concert timelines to meet. Presley's Kitchen and Bar offers a great downtown dining option, especially if you're looking for a quick, convenient, and well-decorated spot before an event at LCA. Highly recommend the Lobster Roll!
Presley's is always my go-to when I'm Downtown! The food is amazing, and of course I have to order one of my favorite cocktails, the Last Word. And how cool is this experience?! When you order the cocktail, it comes with a card featuring a special message. Such a cute touch! If you didn't know, the Last Word is a Detroit staple that dates back to the Prohibition era, which makes ordering it here even more fitting. Now, let's talk about the food! I always start with the chicken tortilla soup -- BOMB.COM. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and you really can't beat the overall experience. read more

In the "D" for Maroon 5 concert at LCA tonite. Walking around the city seeing so much renewed life and activity. Decided to check out Presley's Kitchen & Bar for a cocktail. Great ambiance in this historic property, now a hotel and residences. Service was amazing from the minute we reached the door to our server at the bar. We only had cocktails but they were amazing. Definitely suggest checking them out. Ok so cocktail led to an appetizer......jalapeño Cornbread with whipped butter and local honey... yum read more

The food was amazing. I had the grilled chicken salad and my friend had the Rigatoni Vodka. The presentation was excellent and the taste was even better. The service was also superb. Think cute cocktail hour with friends on a summer night. This is what I felt cute, relaxed, and well served. Doesn't hurt that this little beauty sits inside the astonishing Whitney building. I will definitely be returning. Also, try the Last Word cocktail. So delicious. read more
We were in downtown and heard good things about the establishment. Reservations at 6pm on a Friday were not a problem on short notice and when we arrived we were greeted warmly by the host staff. We were given a corner booth right on Woodward with a view of Comerica Park. And although they weren't playing that evening, the streets were full of people enjoying what the city has to offer. We settled in for a round of craft cocktails and all of us enjoyed the creations. My wife had the last word and that's a pretty fun cocktail to have where you get a note from a previous guest and get to leave one for another. Our waitress was attentive as she could be based on what she had going on. For a starter, we tried the Brussel sprouts they were OK. For dinner I had the French dip sandwich and I enjoyed it. Absolutely gorgeous venue and great place to get drinks and hang out. Unfortunately the shrimp tacos I got were very average, would not get again for the price. Tortilla chips were also a bit stale. Flour tortillas were also too thick and overpowered the shrimp. read more

From the time we walked in to everything about this place has my wife and I wanting to come back. It was Valentine's Day yesterday and our waitress was Lainey. She was spot on; one everything she did for us. From prompt service to attention to details. She was great. The food was valentines specials. Unique and very tasty! The ambiance was very nice and clean. Although our table top was loose. It didn't hinder our experience too much. We'll come back another day. read more
We went here for brunch ahead of a Saturday afternoon Tigers game. Fortunately, we arrived at the perfect time to secure an outdoor table, right along Woodward. Our server, Angelica, promptly greeted us and was an absolute delight throughout our entire dining experience. When we saw "homemade pop tarts" on the menu, we knew we had to give them a try. They were delicious and their only similarity to the pieces of cardboard called pop tarts that they sell in the grocery store was their name. Came here Saturday morning for brunch around 11. We made a reservation and were seated quickly. The restaurant was pretty busy, it was a tigers game day and Father's Day weekend. We started with bloody Mary's which were very good! For brunch I got a crab cake and a side of bacon. My mom got the "aunt lo's biscuits and gravy" my crab cake was almost all crab and the garlic aioli it was served with was great. Bacon was cooked perfectly. I had the lavender lemon martini, this was absolutely delicious!! It almooooost tipped over into "too sweet" but they balanced on that edge perfectly. We also ordered Crab cakes and the three day meatballs for our appetizer. Second round of drinks I ordered the berries and bubbles . For my entree I got the lobster roll, it was delicious and PACKED with lobster!! read more
So glad we stumbled upon this gem, where we could warm up and enjoy breakfast before our show at Little Cesar Arena. Service was great, food was hot and delicious, and the restaurant and restaurants were spotless! I had the biscuits and gravy and eggs and it was delicious--they nailed the sausage gravy! Visiting Detroit for the weekend! Researched a few spots to try on TikTok and Presley's was one option. Stopped in for lunch right after we landed. Hillary, our server was so pleasant and kind. It was pretty empty when we arrived but we did get there near opening time. The ambiance is ok - not too loud, simple decor. Overall I would rate the food about 6/10. We ordered both of the fresh pressed juices. They were served with lots of ice. Next time I would ask for no ice. The breakfast sandwich was messy to eat but my husband enjoyed it. The smash burger was average. We would probably return for drinks and small bites if in the area again! read more
I'm going to get the food. I have to mention the service 1st. Hands down the friendliest and attentive server I've ever encountered was a sweet young lady named Jermanie!!! Food was tasty. I enjoyed the seasonal pop tart option over the standard Wild berry only because of the seeds. The cornbread =fire. The breakfast sandwich was great ( could have used a 3rd piece of bacon. Presley's is following Detroit's new restaurant formula -- the decor is light, airy, modern trying to connect with the space it's in. The eggs were silky and the Benedict sauce was good, wishing it was a little more acidic to help break up the fattiness of the dish. The crab cakes were ok - I wish they were more crab. The star of the plate surprisingly was that well dressed side arugula salad which had a stunning freshness to it. The staff was good, but I did go when they had just opened so I think they were still sorting things out. read more
a must-visit for brunch lovers! I had the Mimosa Kit which came with a full bottle of champagne and three juice options--perfect for mixing. I also tried the Dequindre Cut (a refreshing vodka cocktail) and Up in Smoke (a tequila drink with a smoky twist). For food, I got the Traditional Breakfast with an over-easy egg, sausage, crispy potatoes, and fluffy pancakes--everything was cooked perfectly. I also tried the French Dip, which was actually a sandwich served with au jus. Not what I expected, but still packed with flavor! We sat at the bar for a light lunch the spinach and feta dip was amazing. The Lobster roll was good but might have some fake crab in it so if that's not your thing I would get it. Our bartender Christina was amazing very helpful with the menu and made excellent drinks she was super sweet! We are definitely going back. read more

This is a beautiful new restaurant in the David Whitney building - beautiful green tile, tan leather booths, a very nice atmosphere. We were greeted and seated right away and service was excellent. They have great coffee, and I had a very nice decaf latte in a lovely light green mug. I HIGHLY recommend their homemade pop tarts - they're awesome! Homemade super flaky buttery pie crust encasing wild berry filling, and the special flavor this season - pumpkin spice. Both were sweet and buttery and delicious. Topped with homemade buttercream frosting and sprinkles, what's not to love? They have a very nice menu with a little bit of everything for breakfast and lunch. Crab cake Benedict, steak and eggs, sandwiches, a lobster roll, a couple of salads, chicken tortilla soup - all sounds good. I had the steak and eggs, and although everything needed salt, the steak, eggs and potatoes were cooked perfectly and the chimichuri sauce was herby and garlicy. I tried my friend's fries and they were fresh and delicious. I'd for sure return. read more
