Overall, pretty good food the pizza thingy that's not a pizza was absolutely delicious. However, I did not really enjoy the coleslaw that it came with because it actually tasted kind of wild without the buffalo sauce included with it.. The tuna salad was absolutely delicious, but there were some crunchy bits that were pretty tough to chew at times. It might've been portion of the cashews, but I think it was all right overall. Especially martinis were absolutely amazing. I don't think they're the best in the town but if you had a little bit of Bailey to it, it gives you a really nice texture and taste. I took my mom to Central Kitchen + Bar for brunch, and we loved it! I've been meaning to, and trying to, visit them since they opened (10 years ago!) but something always went awry. They weren't open, a friend had to cancel, the line was too long, and on and on and on. I'm so glad I finally (finally!) made it. The ambiance is warm and cosy, the service is prompt and friendly, and the food is yum, yum, yummy! My mom got the egg special and I got the French toast. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Had such a great brunch here the day before the Detroit Marathon! It was right be the finish line area as we were looking around. We started with the lavender lemonade and blood orange spritz mocktails which were both delicious. We also ordered their fries with truffle and garlic dips. They were piping hot, a huge portion, and the dips were great. Easily could have split between 4-6 people. I ordered the huevos rancheros entree. The textures and composition of the dish were good, but the overall flavor was a bit bland. Even the salsa didn't have much flavor or spice. My friend ordered the Chef's Omelette which is different every weekend. This time it was a Chicken Parmesan Omelette which she enjoyed. Our server was attentive, friendly, and great! First timer here, went for Sunday brunch with a friend. It was busy but we were able to get seated without a reservation. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming. There is an outdoor patio seating area. The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and it was not what I expected. I thought I ordered the wrong thing because it looked like a quesadilla. When I took my first bite, I was amazed by all the flavors blending together. It was delicious and full of flavor. I loved it, especially topped with the fresh cilantro and crema. I don't know why I was expecting like a breakfast bowl/ skillet situation. The side of potatoes were delightful. I didn't need them but they were seasoned well and worth it. My friend ordered the Smoked Salmon Flatbread. I tried it, it was good. Topped with arugula and dill cream sauce was refreshing. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh. The service was top tier, as the staff serviced our large group perfectly. I didn't each much, but what I did have was very good. The Salmon Croquette was delicious, nice flavor. This was the PERFECT dinner location during the Detroit Grand Prix weekend - we got a table in the sunroom space outside of the main restaurant, and had both a great view and could clearly hear the opening performer for the Sat night concert in Cadillac Square. Perhaps not for everyone (it was loud) but we loved it! Food was overall pretty good! American/Internationally inspired fare, more elevated than a standard bar menu. Our party of 4 shared the truffle fries and broccolini to start, both of which were yum. I got the Mushroom Dip sandwich, which was good but a little salty! Good mushrooms though. Also tried my husband's Chicken Shawarma salad and my friend's Ahi Tuna salad. Both hit the spot, but maybe not my absolute favorite versions of these dishes. I was looking for a specific type of restaurant to go to and this restaurant came up in my search. Parking is a little rough so you definitely have to pack your patience or be prepared to walk a little bit. We were immediately greeted when we entered and the excellent customer service continued throughout the experience. I got the chef's special (fish and chips). It was the best fish and chips that I have had in years...possibly ever. The fish (perch) was seasoned well and fried to perfection. They served it with three sauces as well as additional condiments that complimented the fish as well as the chips (fries). We celebrated a few special occasions and indulged in the carrot cake which was delicious. (There was a distinct taste to the apples that it was garnished with that we could've done without.) They brought over some ice cream for my friend's birthday as well. Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who asked. read more

There are great views of the street from most tables in the restaurant, however there is a peculiar wait station breaking up the long view in the interior. The drinks are solid, and the beer is perfectly cold. I loved the ricotta and honey with caramelized tomatoes spread. The bread, though thickly cut, was perfect with a nice buttery sear on each side. The bolognese is also very enjoyable - classic and comforting. The French dip was good in parts - the sauce a bit too savory and the crease of the sandwich had an overwhelming quantity of mayonnaise. I took a photo but I'll spare you, because overall the experience was very enjoyable. We ordered an appetizer flat bread with goat cheese, which was fabulous!!! I didn't get a photo. My family was so hungry. I highly recommend it. I had the smash burger with bacon and extra trimmings. The burger was perfectly cooked and held together nicely. Excellent taste with a soft and delicious brioche bun. I will definitely order that burger again. Had a bit of a difficult time getting here due to the Detroit Free Press Marathon setup, but once inside all was golden! My friend had made reservations and we were seated immediately. Our server, Niya (not sure about the spelling) was amazing! We ordered drinks- my Refresher course was brisk and refreshing- and three sharable plates. My favorite was the Delicata Squash. The squash was tender with a bit of charring and the nuts and pomegranate made for interesting textural and flavor pops. The Tenderloin Tips were also extremely tender and the tzatziki sauce was creamy and cool. The Whipped Ricotta had fresh tomatoes and lightly grilled bread which made for a delicious bite. I am not a huge truffle fan, so I didn't enjoy the truffle honey as much, but it certainly was not overpowering. All in all it was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. My colleague had the tomato basil soup and the lobster flatbread, I had the Central Power Salad. Everything was fresh and delicious; service was excellent, they have a good patio space and and although they were packed at 12, we were seated right away with our reservation and served quickly. We tried to go to The Dime Store for a late breakfast/early lunch, but there was an hour wait and we were too hungry. The host suggested Central Kitchen which was nearby. It' has a very cool vibe, but too loud for comfortable conversation. We chose to sit on the enclosed patio, which was much quieter. Our server was India, who was pleasant and efficient. Two of us had the omelette of the day, which had feta, spinach, and salmon and a light mustard sauce on top. The eggs were the fluffiest I've seen and the omelette was great. I was kind of disappointed with our experience here! We arrived at noon on a Sunday for brunch and it wasn't busy. We were told sitting outside would be warm (it wasn't really because anytime the door to inside opened the temperature dropped). We ordered our food and it came out within a reasonable time. However, the Avocado Toast was pretty much only bread - very light on the toppings. The Huevos Rancheros came out as a quesadilla and the Power Salad dressing was strong. Where we really struggled is that we told our waitress we were ready for our check and it took probably about 40 minutes for her to get the check to us. All 4 of us had a chance to use the restroom and we were sitting in our jackets waiting (she saw us waiting). When she finally dropped the check off she instantly walked away even though we had all of our cards ready to give to her. It took another 15 minutes for her to run our cards and get them back. It busy so it was very bizarre as normally they want tables to turnover. Not sure I'd want to go back in case that's the norm. read more

The place was amazing too with a more rustic, modern feel with large windows, wooden paneling centered around a bar. Only issue is that there is one 1 stalled bathroom! The brunch menu was really great and the omelet was packed full of chicken and flavor. I heard great things about the huevos rancheros from my guest. The ambiance was nice. It had a classic upscale feel while making me feel welcome. Our server was great, he was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were nice. The espresso Martini was a particular hit as it was not too overpowering and well balanced. The "so fresh so clean" was nice, the mezcal was a bit overwhelming when compared to the other flavors of the drink, but not bad. The smoked salmon spread was lovely. I enjoyed it, but could have used a few more crackers as it was a sharable dish and was disproportionate to the aplmount of spread. The food was good. The tomato Bisque was a hit and was paired well with the balsamic glase. The dressing on the power salad was very nice the chicken paillard was a bit overcooked, but still had a good flavor and was nicely dressed. The scallops were cooked perfectly!
