The dude who took my order was SUPER helpful - since I had not eaten here before, I didn't know what was good. He provided recommendations based on his likes, popularity and portion size. We got ... forgot the name but it was a beef and broccoli with veggies - super good. And chilaquiles - holiday style (red a green sauce). Both were flavorful and hearty - very filling. Price was decent - I think it was less than $40 for both meals which, today, is great for two entrees. It was quick to come out - since it was take out and close to closing I waited in their seating area and they had water available for me - love that. We will be back to try other foods the next time we are in Bend! Well done, Spork, well done.

While we waited we had to try the flourless chocolate cake and Apple Cinnamon Cake, warmed up along side our cup of Joe. Ok so brace yourselves for this...the starter came out and was served to us by Chef Kamal and wasn't a disappointment on the eyes, crafted so delicately on the plate. The flaky filo was a golden hue and held a beautiful song inside of the most perfectly mix savory and sweet flavor, the duck was soft and tender, leaving you just wanted MORE!! I was pleasantly impressed with the way the dish was put together, each piece like a puzzle and this was just the starter. The mushroom toast arrived and she was the Belle of the Ball at our table, the side salad is a nice refreshing addition, but this crafted piece of art was stacked and piping hot, atop was a perfectly poached egg. Starting on just a corner of this nicely toasted house made brioche canvas that held a picture of painted on creamy bean spread adorning this was a medley of mushrooms with all the right seasonings and as you devour this you get a hint of the citrus! I am beyond impressed with this spot!! Chef my hats off to you and your partner back in the kitchen, I know now that the pillows are to "catch you" when you faint after tasting this food! I've even been in when zero customers were in the entire building and based on the sole interactions with the bar, or lack thereof, the magic gets leached away from the place. Without the bartenders, it's just an empty building after all. A welcoming attitude or some conversation is the warm hearth that brings cold travelers back over and over again; people remember how they feel. Then again, even when the place is packed with people, I don't feel any warmth or connection from anyone here. Maybe it's a sign of the times, maybe it's Bend in general. I'll keep trying and coming back nonetheless.

They also seemed to have spaces for larger parties, too. They also have a little gift shop if you wanted to pick anything from shirts, to bottle openers, to beer candles and more!
