This place has some great Gyro's and baklava, the staff is very nice and helpful . I would give this place a higher rating but unfortunately the lamb I ordered was quite pricey and I received it burnt maybe it was just my experience but I can't recommend that dish at least . My family, we normally order food to go. But yesterdays experience made me realize the quality of what the kitchen is putting out potentially for Togo orders is at best subpar. The falafels are so huge, eating them in a gyro makes it nearly impossible, the lettuce used some of it was mushy/gross and the falafels themselves were fried to long they were so super dense instead of fluffy saucer like, it made for a compromised experience. We ordered two felafel gyros and same/same. We also ordered two of the hummus/pita bread apps, and only received in pita per order for $7.99, I am at a loss of words. This review is to give viewers the reality that not every meal you get from this establishment is going to be like the last good experience. Maybe you should rethink ordering Togo, and dine in.... First time going there. It was very impressive. I asked the server what they recommended as my first time. One of the bowls was his recommendation. I had it. It was very good and a good sized portion at a reasonable price. They use cloth napkins like a upper class restaurant, their silverware is wiped and free from water spots like very few places do anymore. I will definitely be going back there. P.S. Covid 19 friendly!!! They offer dine in and it's not packed at all. Very friendly staff, we had Naomi as our waitress and she was a sweetheart! They offered two types of Greek beer and both were delicious, not heavy like American beer. We shared the mussels as a appetizer the Greek Sampler and baklava as dessert. Had lunch with my bestie today. First visit here. Our server Lauren was great! The food is delicious and came out in a timely manner. I definitely recommend Acropolis. The ambiance has a warm welcoming vibe. There was an incident there, an ambulance was needed for a patron. A lot of the patrons that were having lunch jumped in to assist the patron who was in dire need. The staff was excellent with said patron, there was a soldier also who assisted and held this person I commend every single concerned person who assisted. I pray this patron will be ok. I took a friend here for her birthday dinner. We had seen the reviews and had great expectations. It was pretty bad, all around. First our server, Bethany? I think it was. We get seated and it takes 5-10 minutes before she comes to the table. She brings no menus and simply wants to know what we want to drink. As we have no menu and no idea what they have, I simply ask for coffee. She moans "I'll have to make some, but sure, no problem" As she turns to leave, we ask if we could have menus. "Sure, no problem" Another 5 minutes or so later, my coffee lands in front of me, with not a pack of sugar, milk, or anything. As she turns to leave again, I ask if I could get some cream. "Of course, no problem" Another 5 minutes pass, and she finally comes to ask if we want any appetizers. We try the "crispy calamari". They arrive 5 minutes later, rubber in a shell, without any flavor whatsoever, served with..of course, Tzatziki. She didn't have any small plates....but she'd try to find us some. I said it's ok, don't worry about it. Not going to wait ANOTHER 5 minutes to see her again. Now I LOVE Tzatziki, just not one bit on my $18 worth 8 small rings of calamari. They usually have a lemon/garlic sauce or AT LEAST a tomato sauce. On the second ring, she must have seen my face, she came to ask how it is and I said "Frankly, it's rubber" And I let her take it away. A few minutes later came the main course. I had the Gyro plate. Comes with 2 sides she says. I am confused..it's gyro.....fries maybe? Anyways, I ask for the salad and a side of veggies. Oh man....some dry, sad looking slices of reshaped gyro meat, I suspect it was microwave heated by the texture and taste. No crunch at any edge, NOTHING to go with, but a pita and Tzatziki! If I had not ordered a salad as side dish, I would have had NOTHING at all to add to it. No onions, no tomatoes, no lettuce, no nothing at all. The side salad had TWO sad little pieces of onion. $16 for a pita with some reheated, no crust, ground meat slices gas station style. I ate half of it and just couldn't go any further. The veggies tasted horrible, not sure what spice fell on those. Can't even describe the flavor of that cauliflower. I never got a refill on my coffee. My friend had the lamb, and she said it was ok, bit overcooked, but fine. She's better than I. When she too was DONE eating, our server came to ask if she wanted some more water. Her glass had been empty since she got the meal. She actually asked her at that time, why she would wait to offer her more water until she was DONE with her meal and ready to go. At this time my credit card had been waiting slightly over the edge of the table to be noticed...another 5 minutes or so. We both agreed the waitress was just completely inattentive and a bit rude. Service, D-, food average C- ambiance? I'd have said nice, if it wasn't for the fact that there was a completely out of place Big Screen TV running and when you first walk in it is DARK until your eyes adjust. Everything was a pain, everything had to be asked for. Nothing was offered. Not even napkins to help with the messy sauces. You just get that one black thing that doesn't soak up anything and then gets all gross while you are suppose to reuse it. No information on drinks, an exchange of "do you have..?" But other then wine, water and soda, you are much on your own The total came to $40, I guess they didn't charge for the calamari. 1 star for that. read more

We tried their hummus sampler, the tabbouleh salad, and we each had the gyro plate. The appetizers were great and I highly recommend the gyro plate. It came with a Greek salad and lentil soup. This is normally one of my favorites. I decided to have my birthday dinner here. The food is always delicious and I love the potatoes with a Greek salad. They called to confirmed my reservation on Thursday and then three more times on Saturday. The last confirmation made me upset because how many times do I have to confirm. The young lady calls and says your reservation is for 7 PM and if your party is not here, we will give away all your tables. I tell the young lady my party will be there at 6:30. She says ohh and then they harass my friend when she shows up. Asking her a bunch of questions and letting her know if the party is not here they're taking the tables I reserved 3 weeks earlier. I get to the restaurant with my cake and as I'm sitting my cake down. I hear breathing, I look over and it's the owner just watching me. I ask how hes doing and he just turns and walks away. No friendly greeting, hello thanks for dining here. He's just worried about this 7:30pm party that has 7 people coming. How do I know that? because they kept saying we have another party coming and need your tables. Now from what I saw. The party of 7 sit up front by the restrooms and the other smaller party seating was by the door. They were already setup for the guess. My 16 guests sat in the left corner off the wall. So what did my tables have to do with the other two parties? A couple came in with their son so of my 4th table was taken. The couple waited maybe 3 mins in the front.If the owner wouldve waited 5 mins, 2 tables became free. We were watched all night and pointed at. The servers were my favorites I actually requested Stephen and wanted Heather also but didn't remember her name when I made the reservation. I felt her uneasiness as well as Stephen's as they served my party. Then the owner sends the black cook over to check on us. I guess the owner now all of a sudden don't know how to be friendly to a group of black folks (all women). By the end of the night if they would've played it cool there would've been no issues. I felt very uneasy and wanted to leave. But with a party of 16 on a Saturday night after 7, it would have been hard to find some where to go and be seated right away. I feel like I'll never come back here again after this unwelcoming experience. Update: I will never comeback here. You as the owner could've just turned my party away. I was told you were making faces and tighten your fist in anger. Your restaurant was a favorite for many of us that was in that group. Some was new and said they couldn't wait to comeback.
