Absolutely Do Not Shop Here - Rude, Disrespectful, and Completely Unprofessional My partner and I spent $490 on a lawnmower from this store, plus a $25 fee for assembly and delivery. Less than two weeks later, the mower stopped working. Wanting to support a small, locally owned business, we assumed they'd stand behind what they sold. We were wrong. My elderly father kindly went in on our behalf to ask about a replacement. Instead of being met with any form of courtesy or care, he was treated incredibly disrespectfully. The staff talked down to him, acted like he didn't know how to mow a lawn, and even accused him of assembling the mower incorrectly -- despite the fact that they were the ones who assembled it. They refused to replace the mower and initially wouldn't even refund our money. After nearly an hour of back-and-forth, they finally gave us a refund for the mower itself -- but refused to return the $25 assembly fee, even though the assembly was clearly the issue. To top it all off, they told us we were no longer welcome to purchase a lawnmower from them again. We were essentially blacklisted -- for their mistake. We will gladly be taking our business to another small business in Spokane -- one that not only stands behind their products but also treats customers with respect and a caring attitude. Good customer service isn't just about making a sale; it's about how you treat people when something goes wrong. If you value honesty, accountability, and being treated like a human being -- especially when dealing with elderly family members -- take your business elsewhere. read more

great first experience. ordered snow blower after my old unit quit.new blower delivered saturday.after trying out new blower i found my lower body of 81 yrs could not handle this unit.they came back sunday and pu the new blower and repaired my old unit which is not as strong and returned the next day.great great service!!!!!!these people are the best! read more

We needed to convert our natural gas barbecue to a propane source, which required a different connection. Associate Char immediately greeted us and steered us to Dennis, who was very helpful in finding the right parts for our needs. We have been to this store many times and are always quite impressed with the outstanding customer service. We prefer to shop there compared to the corporate giants Lowes and Home Depot. read more

These guys are awesome, always right there to help as soon as you come through the door! Selection is great, they have had everything I have needed. Specialized gas fittings and electrical parts. Prices are comparable to the big stores but the service is immensely better! Much rather shop here than Lowe's or Home Depot! read more

I purchased a Toro snowblower last fall for $700.+ "on sale". It is a single stage blower, works well, and I called for an appointment to have it tuned up for this upcoming winter. The price was quoted at $140.+ + and there is a SIX WEEK WAIT after you drop it off for service. Needless to say this is a bit pricey and a six week wait will bring it home to snow on the ground. Not fun, paid more than "the competitor" and now the tune up is a disaster in the work. I'm done shopping with this location. read more

Super helpful. Greated right as I walked in. Came for wood pellets for our Green Mountain Grills. Wish they had a bigger selection of lousiana grill pellets but they have a ton of flavors in other brands. Cherry apple pecan mesquite. I didnt look around went right to pellets but it's a big store I'm sure you can get lost spending a ton of money in here!!!! read more

I purchased a Toro snowblower that ceased working after only 4 uses. I contacted ACE and was immediately told to bring it back in for immediate repairs. After visiting with the staff in the equipment area, I asked if I could upgrade to a Honda and not retain the Toro. The staff went to work for me and after a number of calls to Toro, they were very kind to allow me a FULL refund, then upgrade to the Honda. Talk about super service!!!! The staff could not do enough to help me....I'm a disabled Vet, age 75, and must have a blower that works. This is a GREAT place to purchase anything needed and get the service when you walk in the front door. read more

While in town from California to visit my ailing mother, I was referred to ACE Hardware on Francis Ave. in Spokane, WA for a referral for a roof repair. A very friendly and helpful Aaron Chipley answered the phone and gave me the number of a local handyman. When I didn't hear back from the handyman after leaving a message (maybe because my number was from out of state), I called Aaron back and he offered to make the call for me! ACE is very lucky to have an employee like Aaron who is friendly and goes the 'extra mile' for customers like me. The store manager would not give me a refund for a saucer sled that shattered on its first use, even though it was within the 30 days specified by the return policy. I was told that it was just a "thin piece of plastic" and for that reason, not defective. To me, it's only $10.86, but a store should stand by the merchandise they sell. Let me start off by saying everything in here is overpriced. I when in to buy a bolt for some work I was doing to by car mind you I have been working on my car so I don't look the best I'm dirty as I have been under my car for a couple hours. Like anyone does when they go to buy a bolt that they don't know the size of they take one in to match it. So it tone me a good 5 minutes to find the right one as I on the shop for bolts ever so i found the right bolt and went to check out.mind u if it fit I was coming back for about 20 of them.i was walking out the door when lost stops me and ask to see the bolt in my pocket so I show him and tell him I showed the greater as I walked in. When he realized I had done nothing wrong he got very mad and started to use foul language t me telling me to never come back and to do something stupid today so he can beat my ass and throw me In jail I have never been so disrespected In my life when all I did was come in and buy something from them with my hard earned money. Never have I been so disappointed, that I actually sat down to write a review of anything, but here goes. I bought a Toro snow blower at this Ace last winter, worked fine/ Tried to start it when the snow came, nothing. Took it in to have repaired, under warranty, and when I went to pick it up had to pay nearly 100.00. They had an excuse for everything, as to why it couldn't be under warranty. First, they said the gas was bad, I had seasoned it, at the end of last winter, and put fresh gas in, last week, Then they asked me if I took the carburetor apart, and drained the gas, out of it, I thought he was kidding. He stated. "it ruined the carburetor, and I had to rebuild it." What a crock. Less than 1 year old, and they had to rebuild the carburetor? I don't think so! I bought this machine, from what I thought was a reputable dealer, in good faith, that they would honor their commitment to be reputable. Not at all. I made sure to tell him, never again, would I do business with them! Not only didn't they honor their warranty, they tried to tell me t was my fault. Right down to the snotty girl who rang me up, stating "Its not my problem, I don't care" I was completely taken aback. Apparently they took in 31 of the blowers they sold last year for repair. So not only do they not honor the warranty, they sell garbage. Its not a good way to run a business, but they got my money. A drop in the bucket compared to what we spend there during the year. Thank God there are a number of other hardware stores in the area, I will not go back. Very disappointing. read more
