If I could leave no stars, I would. This company has THE worst service I've ever encountered. I scheduled an a.c. service that was 1 week away. I received a text indicating the day before stating our appointment was confirmed for 1p to 5p window for arrival. The day of, no call and no show. I called office at 450p to find out what was happening, to which I was told, sorry we will need reschedule for another day we had an influx of service calls today. They did not call me to advise, I had to call them. I tried to speak with a manager and none were available. I asked for a call back but the young lady was persistent in trying to "cancel" my appointment or reschedule. I took time off work to be available during this window and could not get a common courtesy call to say, sorry we cannot make it. Spoke to quality control manager John the next morning and he rescheduled our appointment for a Saturday and ensured we would be the 1st call of the day but to call if I don't see anyone by 9am. Low and behold, not a call and no one showed up. I called and was told the SAME story. So I stated John ensured we would be first call, to which the dispatch manager attempted to guilt trip me as to why my service was less important than the calls they had that day. Long story short, we STILL have not received the service we scheduled and I've taken 2 days out of my busy schedule to WAIT for this company. Do not waste your time. Find another company that honors ALL customer needs, not just the jobs that are REAL money makers. read more

Ace Home Services bought my contract from a previous really bad company called 24/7 AC Services, I was thrilled that 24/7 no longer had their company! I purchased a brand new AC unit in 2014, my electric bill skyrocketed the months following, after much delay and hassle they replaced the new unit with a different one, this newer unit has given me problems every summer since it's install, so needless to say I was over-the-top happy to hear they no longer were in business! ACE Home Services first came out December 2016 and checked my AC AND my water pressure and ph in my water, two of which I could care less about, you are here to check my AC! Everything checked out fine, yesterday 8/15/2017 my AC unit failed to cool my house ACE came out and after me being told they would waive the diag fee, tried to tell me after thousands of dollars they would be able to fix my AC in a few days. AND I WOULD BE CHARGED THE DIAG FEE! Long story short, today 8/16/17 I had a different, legitimate company come out and fixed my AC for $190 and I am now sitting in my cool home. To boot, none of the crazy long drawn out expensive parts that ACE claimed were the issue, weren't! I found out that ACE Home Services have been buying up small companies and doing the same poor, money sucking practices that the first horrible company was doing to me and countless others! DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THE TORTUOUS ORDEAL I DID, DON'T USE ACE HOME SERVICES! read more

Great service - called in the AM and Craig Nuttall was here early afternoon. Pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. Also was able to use their Yelp coupon saving $100.00! Definitely will use ACE again and highly recommend. read more

Like other reviewers, if I could give NO starts I would. BUYERS BEWARE! This is the worst company I've ever done business with in the last 50+ years. I purchased a maintenance agreement with Ace Air in 2011. Since that time they have done the yearly maintenance checks, always indicating that I needed some costly repairs. Luckily I haven't fallen prey to their lies and deceit, their dishonest business tactics. Their most recent maintenance of my air conditioner and their recommended action, however, is the straw that broke the camel's back which is why I'm warning others to BEWARE of this company. On 10-18-16 one of their technicians (Sky) came to do the yearly maintenance. (Take note of the name Sky as it will come up later in this review.) Sky went up on the roof and did his thing, then came into my house with a video on his phone showing (supposedly) my air conditioner and how corroded it was. He went on to say they did a leak test and the coils of my air conditioner were leaking, coils that by the way are no longer manufactured, of course. Then he went into "let's make a deal" mode and wanted to sell me a brand new air conditioner to the tune of $7,186.81. Having dealt with this dishonest company already, I said I'd think about it and then immediately contacted another air conditioner company that I've come to trust. (just wish I'd known about them prior to signing the warranty agreement with Ace back in 2011) The other company came and checked out my AC, took pictures, did a leak test and found that my AC is NOT LEAKING at all. In addition, the picture this company took doesn't look anything like what the Ace video looked like. I'm sure that the video Ace showed me of the badly corroded unit wasn't even my AC at all !! More dishonest business tactics. Just out of curiosity I checked Better Business Bureau (BBB) website and Yelp. I see that Sandy H. from Tempe, AZ has had almost the same exact experience with Ace as I've had - only difference is that Sandy purchased a new AC from them and I didn't. In Sandy's 2015-16 complaint she documented technician Sky's business tactics and was told by Ace management that he was "a problem employee and he is no longer with the company". Well, that is very interesting since Sky was just at my house on 10-18-16 and is still using the same "let's make a deal" high pressure, dishonest business tactics. Another example of Ace's lies and deceit. Again, BUYERS BEWARE! Don't do business with this company. read more

Showed up on time. It took less than a day. It was 110 and they had a work around while waiting for parts. The work around was a big help for the next 36 hours. Returned when the parts were available and fixed the system. Service was polite and professional. Bought the Carrier units from them years ago. Scott thanks for the work. read more

I called today about my a/c house was at 88 degrees we spent 9000 dollars on a new unit last year. I spoke with two of there customer service people both let me know they would have someone out this afternoon tech showed up at 530 pm. Checked the unit came in from outside and told my wife and myself I have good and bad news he said the motor has gone out but I don't have one until tomorrow. My wife and myself were extremely unhappy with this and asked what he could do he said nothing. The service tech wrote up what we needed in the meantime my wife was expressing to him how unhappy she was he gave my wife the copy of the invoice and told us that he would get the part in the morning. After leaving my wife looked closer at the invoice he made two comments one said my wife was rude and that I was uncomfortable. I will never use this company again. read more

Sleazy experience. Guy way overcharged for a simple drain clog clear, then tried to scam me (as that's the only way to describe it) out of $225 to spend 5 minutes changing out a $15 capacitor he literally already had out of the unit. I think the basic approach is they try to sell you on a "check up", then when the guy gets there he tries to figure out how much he can fleece you for. Don't trust these guys... read more

I paid for a maintenance plan so had my checkup this week. Skylar told me my 8 year old system (trane) was leaking feon and in order to find the leak it would cost me $800+ to put some dye into the system then come back a week later to determine where the leak is. I told him the warranty was still valid and he told me the labor cost would be so high that I might as well replace the whole unit. He suspected there was a crack in the coil. I asked what the coil looked like and he said was there was no corrosion. He said I needed at least 3 pounds of freon. I got the report on the checkup via email and it stated my coils were dirty. So why weren't they cleaned under my plan??? Skylar told me it would cost me another $300+ to fill up the freon. I get some feon free under the maintainence plan, so why didn't he fill what I had coming? Also the report stated there was compressor issues, which was never discussed with me, because again I have valid warranty for the compressor and other functional parts. Is this company just out for money??? Why not research the customers warranty and go from there. I informed Skylar I didn't want to pay all this money so he left. I plan on getting a second option, hopefully from a company out to work for the customer. Beware. Do not buy any maintenance plan from this company. EVER read more

Billy S was my tech. He was quick and got everything done. He also changed the filter for me since I don't like climbing on my ladder. Billy made some suggestions for future service but didn't pressure me to get them done right away. I'm glad I have a service contract with ACE and Billy. read more

Our tenant called late on a Friday to say the a/c wasn't working. I knew the system was running on bandaids as we've had a service contract with ACE for awhile and they have serviced it several times in the past. I called Friday night and was given an appointment between 9 and 1 the next day. As it got close to 1, and no call, I finally called ACE and was informed the person had scheduled the appointment for the next Wednesday! This rep put me on the schedule for 1-5 that day and said I would be the second appointment. I called several times during the appointment window and kept being told I was next on Daniel L. list. We almost always seem to have issues with scheduling with ACE. Once they do show up, the technicians have always been professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Daniel finally called and showed up around 5 and I had to be somewhere so we did everything over the phone. He explained the issue, sent me pictures and was in constant contact by phone. The tenant was there the whole time. We ended up needing a new system, which I knew in the back of my mind was inevitable. Daniel worked with his supervisor to get us a decent deal on a Carrier system. He tried to get the install set up for Sunday but no crews were available and it was set up for first thing Monday morning. Joshua H. was there early Monday morning taking out the old system while his colleague, Tim C. was picking up the new system. Both of these guys were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They worked efficiently and had the new system up and running by mid-morning. Tim even rerouted some copper pipe that would have been somewhat in the way of the filter door. They explained everything well and cleaned up the area afterwards. I was very impressed by Josh and Tim and would highly recommend them. Now if ACE can only work on their scheduling issues. read more

Ace Air Conditioning. Ace left me with no heat during the winter months, I had to heat with wood. Now in the depth of dangerous summer heat I'm struggling to get the repairs done to my cooler. I have been off work to be available for technician to come out, came yesterday after failing to come Sunday (in spite of advertising that they come on weekends), now they're waiting for a Carrier technician to be able to resolve my heat problem. I am 65 and not doing well in this extreme heat, and I was told they had tried to call me twice, but no call from them shows up on my cell phone call log. I'm not happy, and I'm very hot. by the way, my dog has a rating of more than 1 star. If I die in this heat, the rating drops to -10. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Tune up on my A/C. The girl on the phone was super sweet, polite and informative. She explained in detail what came with the tune up. When the technician came out he was awesome, he even put booties on while walking through the house. The appointment took about 45mins to an hour which was great because I had a few errands to run before the day was out. The technician (JOHN) explained what he was doing as he was doing it and even offered to give me pointers to keep my system running perfectly. After the tune up it was so cold in my house I had to turn it off through out the day. Thanks Ace you guys are awesome... read more

2.5 years ago a tech came out to look at my 2 year old Trane unit. They replaced the motor and sold me on a Preventive Maintenance program so they come out once per year to check the unit & do a tune up until 2015. 5/14/11 they came out because the unit stopped working. The tech said the motor was toast & fan blades damaged. He said (not knowing that their company had just been out months before) that whoever worked on the unit last was responsible for what happened because they moved the wires for the motor over so that the fan blades were hitting them. This caused serious damage & burn to the fan blades & it's what caused the motor to go out. The last person to touch that unit was the tech from Ace Air that came out to do the preventative maintenance a few months ago! Then they try charging me $968 for the new motor & fan blades. 1st of all my motor was under warranty since they just replaced it 2.5 years ago & 2nd of all they're telling me that their tech that came out a few months ago is the reason anything happened to the unit. It took an hour & a half of the tech going back & forth with the office just to try & resolve it. They tried to ignore everything that my Preventive Maintenance contract promises (lifetime warranty on parts replaced, 20% off of new parts, & labor rates) which is what took so long. I ended up paying an agreed price for fan blades & labor. When they called to schedule the time to replace the fan blades we discussed what the tech said. After calling the tech they came back & told me they would not charge me for the fan blades (which I had already paid for on 5/14). After never receiving a credit I called & they told me that they didn't owe me a credit because the invoice showed that I only paid for labor. So basically after talking to me & hearing that I didn't have a receipt they changed the invoice to show the same total but for only labor (at $98/hour more than my contract price). After about 3 weeks of going back and forth now, nothing is resolved. I have never dealt with such a unethical and shady company. I have a copy of a maintenance program that I purchased, yet they don't want to honor anything it says in it. I would BEWARE of doing business with Ace Air. Every minute of my interaction of them over the last months has been horrible. It's one lie after another with them. This should have been a simple thing & 2 months later I'm out $239. At this point I could care less about the money, people just need to know that they don't honor the contracts they sell to people. There are many other AC companies in AZ, I would definitely skip doing business with Ace Air! read more

The absolute worst. Bought a brand new A/C unit from them in 2012 and started pumping money into it 3 years later. Should not have to do that with a 3 year old unit. They don't even want to know you if you do not pay a ridiculous amount of money for their good-for-nothing maintenance agreement. I wish I had known better...It is infuriating to have to shell out money for a relatively new unit!! The one I had before lasted 17 years! What a mistake going with ACE!!!! read more

Awful!!! I was contacted by this company to get my a/c unit tune up. The first day they were supposed to come to my house, they gave me a window of 12-3pm, at 2:45 they called saying they had to reschedule due to staff sicknesses. We rescheduled for the following Saturday between 10-1. This time I did not even get a call saying that they were not going to show up. I called them at 1pm to see where they were. They then told me that they were over booked for my area and wouldn't be coming and would have to reschedule- I said forget it and I'd find a more reliable company. The dispatcher called me back at 3:30 saying they were so sorry and if I'd still like, they'd come out immediately to my house- I said ok- my mistake. It took the guy another two hours to get to my house. When the guy got to my house, he came right in like it was his place with all of his equipment. At that point was so frustrated and annoyed that he thought he could just walk right into my place I told him to leave and no rescheduling was necessary and I found a more reliable and friendly company. DO NOT use this company!!! read more

I just wanted a tune up & my unit is old but it's still truckin. The guy comes back says their is nothing he can do my unit is old and he she said this and that was wrong with it and quoted me outrageous prices for all of it. Also said it wouldn't last through the summer. We'll surprise surprise it didn't, I have low income and I'm taking care of my disabled mom right now so I don't have much and a new unit is out of the question, I had to go to habitat for humanity for help. The said someone ( who ever saw the unit last, which was ace by the way) bent the line where the freon went thru & said no way the unit did it on its own & they checked the breaker and my freaking breaker for the AC is damaged. The only person that could of done that was ace because before ace was habitat the year before. So I wouldn't trust them with ur business at all. And I will be giving them a call Monday to discuss a refund. read more

Anyone who rips off the elderly are the lowest of low in my book!!! They charged my 84-year old mother $1980 to replace a 50-gallon water heater. Fortunately, she put it on her credit card so now I am working with them to dispute the charge. DO NOT USE! read more

I was contacted by ACE for a tuneup, but we scheduled an inspection for a new gas pack. The Tech called to confirm and he told me that he wold give me the best price when he got here. The Tech came over , looked at the unit, than asked if he could see my quotes from the other companies, that why he was here to give me a quote,..very unprofessional I said no...than it was a dead issue, he did not want to provide me a quote as to what he was originally scheduled to do. I called the office, they listened to what I said and hopefully they correct this. But don't show other companies quotes, get one first from the company....than you can show if you need to. Maybe they do it this way, but not today! read more

A nice lady from ACE home service repair contacted me to tell us that the last company that serviced our A/C unit was purchased by ACE. She said I could get the same offer I had been given from the previous company. 19 dollars and some change to service my 2 A/C units. I said sure lets do it. So I scheduled an appointment for the next day and I ended up having to alter some plans I had, to make sure I could be there to meet the technician. I get a call 1 hour before he was suppose to show up and they said my scheduled technician was on an install and they wanted to push me back to later in the day. They also offered to come another day. Keep in mind I scheduled the appointment less that 24 hours before the guy was suppose to be there. How did he get sent out to do an install if he was scheduled to service my A/C unit just a few hours prior? It's because he was going make them more money to do an install vs doing a check up on my system. I told the lady who called to not even bother showing up if you can't be on time. I will never do business with them unfortunately because they treated me wrong right out of the gate and after reading the other reviews I'm glad I'm not having them over my house. read more

This company called me and talked me in to having them come service my 2 air conditioning units for a "super duper" low price, including a little bit of freon to be added to both of the units. I agreed even though the previous service they provided for me was sub-par. Well, the appointment was scheduled for today and the appointment time came and went. I waited and waited long after the scheduled time and finally called them. The girl that answered the phone told me that they have had too many phone calls today, so they are servicing the customers that call in today rather than servicing the customers that have appointments. She had the nerve to tell me that I needed to re-schedule. So, it apparently NEVER crossed their professional-minds, that possibly they should call me, at any given time to let me know that they were not going to commit to their previously scheduled appointment they had arranged with me. CLEARLY they are too busy for THIS customer. There are plenty of ACTUAL professional companies that appreciate their customers. I'll call one of them. Please remove me from your call list. I don't want to EVER do business with your company again. Thank you for wasting my time on this Saturday. I should have took the time to read their reviews prior to committing.. read more

Very good service, on time. Did the job in a timely manner & very understanding of the problem.

I just want to say how pleased and greatful I am to ACE Home Services. As you know my a/c went out last Thursday night & I chose to get a new one since my old one was 22 years old. Thankfully ACE was able to install 1st thing on Saturday morning. Their customer service & staff was amazing!!! It was nice when I got a text message confirming my appt. & then I rcv'd another from my technician introducing himself to me & letting me know where he was. He even sent me a link to show me where he was & how long it would take him to get to my home. I thought it was a neat feature that you could track him. Once Tim and Josh arrived they were extremely friendly and professional. Tim has 19 years of experience & was able to install my air handler in probably one of the most tightest spots he's ever worked in. They installed my unit in 4.5 hours even though it would take longer. I appreciated their thoroughness & they cleaned up as if they have never been there. My air is back up & running and I couldn't be more pleased with the results of my new unit. My unit is much more efficient and I'm hoping now my summer bills won't be super crazy. I will say through out the morning, Ace Home services checked up on me just to see how things were coming along. Thank you to Kj for checking on me and for providing me with such excellent customer service. If anyone is looking, I definitely recommend calling them. #goodbyeoldandhellonew #talkaboutadinasour #yeahhhhforcoldairagain read more

I have never had a more horrid experience with a company than I have had with Ace Home Services. I called them to get a tune up on my AC as it was not working properly. Sky comes out to do the work and after his careful inspection decides that the whole unit is bad and needs to be replaced. Well after some negotiating we decide to go ahead and get the unit replaced..it was extremely hot being the beginning of July and with a home business, small kids ETC..we did it. WORST experience EVER!! Sky..the most honest rep is how he sold himself to us quoted the job said the installers would be out the next day early and we would not have air for abut 6 hours. Next day installers show up LATE and clearly not prepared for the job. Throughout the day we had a "supervisor" come out to help and more installers..which by the way one of the installers working on the unit outside was either intoxicated or coming off a pretty serious drunk because not only did he wreak of alcohol but acted like he couldn't get his act together. I had customers coming to my house during this time and they were in disbelief that this installer would be permitted to even be here smelling like alcohol. Now we are going on 7 hours no air and the new unit is not working..another installer comes out and a supposed supervisor to "help" with the install. 10 hours they were here! Thinking that we were going to be freezing cold that night with our brand new unit..we were super happy! Well, the AC still did not work it started blowing warm air in the middle of the night. Called Ace and a tech showed up a couple hours later claiming that he "fixed" the problem..said there was too much Freon in the system and it overheated. Claims he fixed it. That night same problem air coming out warm, next day new tech comes out claims he fixed the problem thermostat this time told us that the thermostat that they put in is known for having problems..REALLY??? Says he will be back in three days to see if that fixed the problem. The thermostat seemed to be the problem, tech says that the company will reimburse for the difference. Great. So no check. one month later. When you call customer service they all play this game of "oh this is the first time I have heard of this"..over and over and over again..is what these girls tell me. ZERO communication. Which by the way is not true..I have been in constant contact with customer service Becky, Veronica, Harold ECT..all of course claiming ignorance. Becky told me over two weeks ago that the check would be issued within two days and I would be receiving it in the mail. Called yesterday and again very rude, very nasty Becky still claims ignorance on why the check has still not been submitted. She will "personally" write one and send it..omg..such an incredible joke over there. I ask Veronica for the owners name and ask if he has an office there..her exact words were "no, he rarely comes in, we never see him". WOW..NICE KWAN JIN..your company is falling apart..you better get your butt to the office and clean house. I wonder if he knows what is happening!? Well, I am done. I am filing complaints all over the place and as of right now..our air is still not right, $7500.00 for a new system and we are going through this. I am done. I am calling a whole new company to document the issues before I take this matter to court.. I called the media, the bank we financed our loan through, the BBB, The Attorney Generals Office, The Consumer Protection Agency..and the list goes on. I am sick of poor customer service and the lack of respect from these companies after the fact. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! NOW AFTER READING ALL THE REVIEWS..it appears that they use the same exact sales pitch to their victims...I am horrified and now really mad! ALMOST the SAME EXACT situations..Sky was my sales person and I see he uses the same line on all his victims! WOW!!! This just gets worse by the minute. read more

I called ace because they're members of my barter club and what better way to save money than to have work done on trade. I needed my new faucet hooked up in my kitchen because I just got new counter tops installed and had a new sink. The first plumber that showed up didn't know that this was on barter and he didn't work barter and he was also told he was coming out to give me an estimate. So he called in to have another plumber come out who does trade work. He, too, was told he was coming out for an estimate. He came in, stinking of cigarettes, with his notebook of fees and his invoice pad. He sat flipping back and forth writing down an itemized list of charges. The total to install my new faucet was over $1,600!!!! $276 of that was the faucet alone; my OWN faucet. Some kind of penalty for having my own faucet. What a fleecing this would've been if I accepted which of course I didn't. I called another company in the club and they will do the whole job for $200 100% in trade! I can't believe anybody would do business with a company like this that takes you to the cleaners to do a job. I can't believe they're still in business. Who pays that much to have jobs done that aren't that hard to do. Don't ever call this company. NEVER!!! read more

They are not a service company, but rather a let-me-sell-you-something-you-don't-need "service" company. They sent a "technician" (sales person) to "inspect" and "tune up" my furnace, but his real purpose was to come in my home and sell me a new unit. He kept saying: "this will take a while," basically wanting me to go to the other room and not watch him pretend like he's doing something. I insisted on staying and watching what he was doing (didn't trust him for a second alone), which made him extremely uncomfortable. All he ended up doing was measure voltage coming into the furnace and concluding that the furnace is too old and needed to be replaced with the new model. I asked him what was wrong with the furnace, he started stuttering about some parts being old and how they are "not reliable" and what not. I asked him again - what is wrong with the furnace? He became irritated and basically said: "Nothing is wrong, it's just old." Basically, the entire purpose of him coming to my home was to sell me a $2800 furnace, which I can buy for $700 and have someone install it for $500. So I asked him to give me a price break down for the $2800 furnace, to which he replied: "We don't do price break downs." Of course you don't, because you would have to explain why you would be charging me $2100 for 2 hours of labor. I had another scheduled "inspection" for my water heater, which I cancelled today. read more

AC broke on a weekend and my tenants were desperate, so they called Ace, since they were willing to come out on a Sunday. Technician informed me that the AC needed a blower motor for $799 and the units would benefit from a cleaning for $300. He also tried to sell me a service contract, and said he would replace the blower motor for much less if I bought the service contract. After internet research I asked him for the breakdown between the motor (very small) and labor, which he would not provide - just "flat rate" of $799. I asked him how long the "cleaning" would take and he said 45 minutes - pretty good to get $300 for a 45 minute job! I did not trust anything this man said, and told the tenants we would have to wait for my trustworthy regular guys (Yale Brothers) on Monday. Yale came out on Monday and replaced the blower motor capacitors in both units for $365. Problem solved. Ace would have ripped me off for $1100 of unnecessary work and it would not have even solved the problem. And please, an expensive "service contract" that only gets you a 10% discount on their inflated repairs??? AVOID THESE FOLKS. Unless you want unecessary new systems, phony repairs and service contracts crammed down your throat. Okay, the general manager of Ace called me after reading this review and tried to make things right and at least refunded the $79.95 I had paid for the service call. I appreciated the call. read more

I have a service contract with Ace to do yearly maintenance on my AC units. Here is my saga : (8/5/14) - First Attempt Had a scheduled appointment with Ace today. They called me at work to let me know they were "on their way", and said they would be at my house within the next 30 minutes. I took time off work to come home and meet them. An HOUR later and still no one had shown up. I called Ace, and was told he was still "on his way." Is he coming from Tuscon? I needed to get back to work, so I had to cancel and reschedule. Thanks Ace for wasting my time. Don't tell a customer that you are "on your way" unless it is actually true. One week later (8/12/14) - Second attempt. Had an appointment for the 10am-1pm slot, and after speaking with someone yesterday, was told that I would receive a call when he is 15 minutes away. They entered notes into the system to emphasize the importance of a call and a timely arrival. I received a call around noon telling me he would arrive around 12:30pm so I left work AGAIN to meet him, only to have him show up .... at 1:15pm. I had to send him away because I needed to head back to work. My frustration is growing because they knew about the problems I had last week. The time he showed up wasn't even technically inside the 10-1 timeframe for my appointment. What does it take to get a person to show up when they say they will? We're not talking about 5 minutes late....we're talking 45-60 minutes late. Removing one more star from my review. Stay tuned for my next attempt. PS: Asked to speak with the manager, Becky. Was told she was on the other line but would call me back. It is now the end of the day, and I never heard back from her. Starting to wish Yelp allowed for negative stars. One more week later (8/22/14) - Third attempt. First, the manager Becky never returned my call from last week. Had an appointment today in the 2pm-5pm slot. I worked from home this afternoon to prepare myself for them showing up late. I received a call at 2:38pm saying that I was their next appointment and the driver should be calling me shortly. At 4:45pm I called Ace to inquire why I hadn't heard from anyone yet. They put me on hold and tried to call the driver, but even they couldn't get a hold of him. 3 weeks...3 attempts at trying to get Ace to honor their scheduled appointments. Fourth attempt - September Took another half day from work , and the appointment was finally kept. Even though they units run fine, he still recommended $1,500 of preventative work, and then tried to get me to extend my service contract (even though I still have 3 years left). I have no words. One of the most painful companies I have ever had to deal with. Period. read more

Ace Air is the best. We had our unit go out on the hottest day of the year and they came through bigtime. We didn't even go one night without air. They had two great guys out that afternoon to install our new high efficiency system and they did a fantastic job. They were friendly and very knowledgable and really seemed to care about getting everything done just right. I will recommend you to all my friends and neighbors. Thanks again!!! read more

Less than 1 star. I bought a unit from this shady company in 2010 and stuck through the bullshit because of an extended warranty that basically covered very little. After many years of problems I had the same issue as another reviewer who wrote that their drip pan-leaked (into my master bedroom closet and ruined the carpet). I'm still under a 10 year warranty and their maintenance program and have still spent a ton of money. Big costs for coolant flush, etc. (not covered under the warranty). I finally had enough when the scheduler tried to sell me a "new unit" over the phone when I called for a service call and then the technician who came out did too. It's and 81/2 year old unit. He told me the compressor was going bad...blah blah blah. But that they would cut me a deal for $6000-$7000.00 for a new unit because of the maintenance package. I finally had enough and called the #1 contractor for AC in Scottsdale and he said the unit is fine. He explained that the unit has a stages, etc. I found out that ACE in known for paying their techs through commission so they all have huge incentive to up sell on everything. All the AC companies at the home show frowned when I asked them about ACE. They all said that they were one of the most fraudulent. read more

My sweety is a Realtor. She is involved in a home sale for a client that is selling a home. ACE was contracted to do two simple tasks today per an inspection report. First they were asked to check the air flow and differential. The tech was not informed as to what to do before arriving. he told the 90 year old renter her freon was low a added some. He then left getting paid 315 dollars. Later the system failed. After two more tech calls still no working. The tech told the lady she would need to shut down every couple hours spray water to cool it down etc. It is now 10:00 and a third tech came out undid everything done earlier. He says the work done earlier was not right. He said he had only worked there a few months a did not like the way things got done. He has been in the business for along time. He said when they get overloaded they send out tech's that are just parts pushers, no tech knowledge. I saw the TV show last year where they caught these techs screwing customers. I guess their still up to their old tricks. read more

Waste on Money. Not trust worthy. Don't buy the Service contract it saves you no money. Ace inflates going rates by 50-60% over the average cost of repairs and offers the customer a 20% discount "if in their service contract" . I researched a quote I was given by Ace and found I could get the same job done "without a contract" for 40-60% less through more reputable factory recommended local air companies, I called 2 companies and both came in significantly less over the phone to do the same job Ace was quoting. Look up the Factory maker of your air unit online and you will see a list of recommendations. I also believe Ace technicians are awarded for the volume they bring in for their work. Their calls are not Service calls they are Sales calls. What can we sell this customer in distress? Either they are on Commission or pressured to recommend the most expensive options. They play like they care, though in all reality they have to fall back on company policy and company pricing that is inflated beyond reason! Sample # 1. My air conditioner was under warranty, though the tech failed to mention this when he said he would give me the part for free if I purchased the service contract. NICE SCAM! don't tell the customer the part is free through warranty and act like Ace is doing the customer a favor by offering the part for free "if" you purchase this 2 year service plan. Example # 2. I had my Air looked a recently by ACE and again the Air conditioner is under warranty. Prior to the current Tech knowing it was under Warranty he was quick to advise to replace the entire air unit from the outside unit to the unit in the Attic. an 8K job. REPLACE IT ALL SEEMED TO THE THE MOTTO. Little did he know, The Air unit was under factory Warranty. Nothing needed replacing that wasn't covered under the warranty. Example #3. Now I'm giving Ace the opportunity to fix the Air unit Under the Factory Warranty. With this Warranty the replacement of the part is covered though the labor is not. Ace wanted to charge me the same price to install a part in my air conditioner as it would cost to replace the entire unit...parts and all if I didn't' have a warranty. HOW CONVENIENT FOR ACE. to have standard pricing that is 50% higher than the 2 quotes I received for same job. I let the Ace Tech listen to the advice on speaker phone from another company as they quoted me what it would cost to replace the warrantied part. The cost was 55% less than the fees Ace Charges. I called 3 total companies both were 50-55% less than Ace. I offered Ace to do the job for the same price considering I had their "service contract" and they refused to accept a "fair market" pricing structure for their client. Example #4 ACE TECHNICIANS ARE TRAINED TO HARD SELL... How? they quote you ridiculous pricing on parts to make you believe you can't get a better deal anywhere else. I was told during my most recent engagement with ace that all these parts cost so much money with this quoted job. as for the reason for the high pricing to repair.... though after some research I was able to learn that the replacement parts Ace mentioned were included in the Factory Warranty. Though for further interest I looked into the cost of these parts Ace quoted. I called and asked a parts dealer what the cost of a part which Ace quoted $300 and the other company confirmed the part is only a $25 part. REALLY? WOW!! As a business owner and service provider myself, I find Ace in my opinion to be a sorry excuse for an American Company that cares about their customers. Again from my experience, They only care about the bottom line taking from the the customer to feed their own bank accounts. read more

I am so disappointed with ACE AIR. They over promise and under deliver. They will promise you everything in order to get the sale but as soon as the sale is done then they will not get back to you. Starting from day one of installation, we were told and promised that the AC units will be installed and complete within a day. Some of the guys installing the unit decided to leave half day and then left two other guys but they didn't finish until late so a total of about 12 hours STILL NOT COMPLETE and they broke through the drywall with a big hole in the ceiling. Thankfully that was taken when I called in to the company for repairs at their own convenience... They also promised that we will be getting the tax credit forms for federal and APS as soon as they install. ONCE again NOT TRUE. One week went by, two weeks went by then I called. Every time I call the sales rep Joe will either say he is in the office or going into the office and will get it done for me. Then NOTHING! I was told there were some personal changes in office so was given Alisa as the new person to contact. I called to leave two voicemails never called back. I called again next day finally she said that she has the information and will send it out. I asked for her to send me an email to confirm, she promised she would but NEVER did. I called next day letting her know I haven't received email, no response. I called APS to check and see if the form has been sent, nothing has been sent. I called again to ask her and she said she sent it earlier in the week. When I asked why not the email she has no response and lied again saying she sent in. I asked her to send it to me again and offered that I will send it myself I just need the information from the contractor filled out. She said she would send me fax and email to review. What does she send over, a BLANK rebate form... I could have gotten that on APS website myself. When I called and asked again as well as emailing her, she once again did not respond back to me until over a week. She finally picked up phone and said will send me another one, this time she filled some information out but the original copy with our signatures were not there, tech signature was also not there. So what's the point of the form... Once again she lied and said she sent it to APS when I called and checked but APS has no tracking of this. When I called the sales rep Joe about this he said he would go to office to get forms and deliver it to the house due to the inconvenience. What did he do, I called him in morning and he once again said he is going into the office and said will drop it off but lied again. He did not show up, did not call, nor respond back to my messages. Nothing once again with ACE Air. I would call the main office line to speak with manager, Kelly, NOTHING. I called to see if anybody over there has any form of customer service or I can simply get the forms that were promised to us for our tax rebate, NOTHING. They have been lying about their process and do not call people back. I am in the service industry and this is so unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone using ACE AIR. Till this day, over a month now still nothing... Perhaps I may need my attorney to call them and they can pay the interest of the $850 that we would have from the tax rebate... Once again, I do not recommend ACE AIR to anyone. I thought I did my research but obviously, they lied multiple times and do not care about customer service. Good luck to all! read more

Hooked up expensive new part incorrectly! Although they made my heatpump work, I feel I was overcharged for the condensor fan motor, which was actually not installed correctly with improper wiring and wrong run capacitor, causing the heatpump to frequently cycle out of heating to cooling during cold weather. How would I know? By hiring someone who was qualified! On top of poor workmanship, they first tried to sell me a new unit, then after the expensive but lousy job, they tried to sell a warranty plan which wouldn't be necessary if they actually knew how to do the work! Don't waste your money with this outfit. Check out the NR rating at BBB and all the complaints they have with an average of one complant per week over the past year! read more

Didn't even get past trying to get a quote for a new air conditioning unit. We got a call from the person coming out to do the quote saying that he would probably be at our house around 1 or 2 pm (we had a 12 pm - 3 pm window). At around 3:30 we called to ask him where he is, and he says the office should have called, they were sending someone else to our house. When we called the office they said they should have called when they were 30 - 40 minutes away, so would probably be at our house in about an hour. We told them to forget it. What terrible customer service! Definitely would not recommend this company! read more

Almost bought a new unit from this company and then found they are NOT accredited with the BBB. they also have a "C" rating and over 50 complaints in one year. be sure to check them out before you buy from them and regret it. i almost did read more

installed 2 units about 4 years by spending $10K+. One unit was dead 2 months ago. Called many times to get services: first service made the unit running forever, and never got temperature down; 2nd service made the unit running normal. A few weeks ago, the company said to give us a complimentarty inspection. It turns out to be a selling of $720/3 year contract to us. The guy saying that coils are very dirty and need chemical clean once a year. However, during the past 3 years, we never got any cleans for both units although we had contract with the company. And this time they told us to have once a year clean or voids the warranty. Feel very strange so refused to renew the contract. The guy pissed off, asked me to sign on inspection form to state warranty of both units are voided because of we do not renew our contract. Nonsense! read more

Wow, Jessica writes a response that is longer than any statement Ace Air has offered us since the theft occurred and didn't even have the guts to say it to us. She has no first hand knowledge from us as we have never spoken to Jessica. Perhaps she should know that the installation manager, Claude, told us he has suspicions of who did it. There must be something there if he was immediately suspicious. We had every intention of paying for the new unit until one of them stole from us. In fact we already paid 50%. Of course the employees are going to deny it. Are they still employed by Ace? . If Ace takes this so seriously, why haven't they talked to us other than to demand payment? Why won't they tell us who their insurance and bonding company are? Why won't they let us talk to the owner? It should be a red flag. Be forewarned. and tell all your friends that Ace Air has employees that steal and they don't care. The police investigation is ongoing but Ace should be more proactive. read more
