i thought this place was mid, they ran out of ube and magik pretty quick i came at around 12 pm. it was also more expensive and for less than other açaí places ive been to. i noticed for others when they ordered a large bowl it wasn't filled up all the way and i feel like usually it should be or close. tho, the employees working were sweet! the store itself is cramped, only fitting around 5 people inside. read more

Acai bar - Nature Bowl with Bananas, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and cocoa nibs drizzled with honey - Acai Bowls Near Me - Pasadena, California

My favorite acai store!! Big portions, delicious acai, fruit, and granola. I'll usually get a build your own or the berry me bowl in the medium size and it's more than enough for a filling breakfast. I've heard their baked goods are devious, though I've yet to try them. The store is cute, the service is relatively quick, and the workers are sometimes nice. Overall, experience 3/5 but 5/5 for the açaí bowls. read more

This place is great. I came here for the coffee and ended up having an açaí bowl. The coffee was good. - the açaí was exceptional. I had the berry berry bowl and added mango and a little honey. It was refreshing and so flavorful with fresh strawberries, blueberries, goji berries and black berries. The açaí was on point and I loved the added crunch from the granola and bee pollen. Yummmm. read more

Our favorite Acai place around. My husband and I go every weekend. Quick service, good sized portions and reasonably priced! I always get the Build your own with their granola (amazing), fruit and peanut butter, and my husband gets the "Butter me up". Definitely recommend checking this place out if you love acai! read more

Hands down the best acai bowl. Please visit if you are in the area! Also their empanada is really good. Chicken salsa verde is good

Yes yes YES!!! Açaí Bar is sooo tasty and worth the price!!! I will be coming back!!! COVID-friendly ordering was outdoors at the front of the store. My bowl was ready in less than a minute! I highly recommend the Cocabanana Bowl. It was so refreshing and sufficed as a meal replacement. The açaí stayed semi-solid even after running a couple errands on the way home. Not too sweet, but just right with the cacao and bananas. Perfect amount of crunch with the other toppings. read more

It was my first time walking in, I had always wanted to try it. Today was my first day, the guy and the girl working greeted me when I walked in and were wonderful. They made me feel welcomed and answered all the questions about the menu, they were patient and super nice. I ordered the Energy butter me up (with strawberries) IT WAS AMAZING! They are hands down the best acai spot-generous, yummy and amazing ambiance. 5 STARS! read more

Some of the most wonderful Acai treats at Acai Bar! Acai Bar has a wonderful array of fresh fruit and toppings to put in your bowl, and like so many other Acai places around LA, the sizes range from teeny to mucho. Their Acai base is heavenly - firm yet creamy, and stays that way till the end of the bowl, rather than immediately turning into a sloppy mess. Usually a medium size is a solid meal, and the child's/sampler would be great for a snack. Toppings are not unlimited however; the bowls come with three free toppings, and the rest are about a $1 each I believe. We have never tried their smoothies, but they have an array of enticing smoothie combos as well. Their granola is also A+. This place is my go-to for lunch on certain days, and rather than pay for extra toppings past the three, I usually get fresh fruit and granola, and then add hemp seeds and nut butters at home, saving at least a couple bucks but not sacrificing on overall ingredients. One star docked because despite asking multiple employees about the ingredients in the Acai base, I'm told it's just "pure Acai with some sugar to help scoop it". However, they can't tell me how much added sugar, nor can they tell me where the base is from, or even the manufacturer of the base. The base is pretty darn sweet, and for people who are trying to be conscious of added sugar, it would be very nice to be transparent with your customers about the actual content and added sugars of the base. It's 'merica, after all, and I wanna know. read more

First timer here and as soon as we walked in the young ladies looked at us and didn't acknowledge us for 2 min. They continued their conversation and no, it wasn't busy at all. Actually they hadn't started making the order of the family of 2 before us. One of them finally walked up and I ACTUALLY HAD TO GREET HER! She replied with the worst time ever. As a long time resident of Pasadena, third generation POC this is unacceptable. The background conversation was also uncomfortable as it was about how right before they closed a family if 4 came in to order. Complaining that the customers had "all day to get acai". I mean this is horrible customer service and culture. My family and I won't be back. I really hope this review is taken seriously. I just left so 10:30 am Saturday morning 10/15/2022 1. Butter me up 2. One make your own read more

The acai bowl is very good, however the loss of stars is due to misleading advertising. On their website they say "All our bowls are vegan, and made with 100% fruit, and contains zero refined sugar, dairy, or juice." However when I was there, the staff said there IS sugar added to the Acai bowls or otherwise it would be too icy. Most acai places do add sugar to their base, however Acai Bar specifically says they don't, so it feels dishonest. read more

I love that this place has an overall very "purist" vibe...meaning their acai is REAL acai, not the soupy monster concoction I've seen many other acai places advertise which is essentially just a way to cut corners by stuffing tons of cheaper fruits in there as fillers instead of having pure/mostly acai. You can taste the quality and the texture is just spot on (extra chunky please!) Their toppings are also fresh and great and I cannot wait to come again! read more

What happened? This used to be my favorite Acai spot. Today I ordered a "Berry Me Bowl" I've ordered this many times in the past, and it never had "granola" in it, as a matter fact, granola is not even listed as one of the ingredients in this bowl on their website. The granola is actually more lsugary and not good at all read more

Our first time visiting this location of Acai Bar. We found the staff to be much more pleasant than the Monrovia location. The fruit was fresh and the cup was full (again, better than the Monrovia location). There is limited street parking right in front, but we were able to find a spot fairly easily across the street. It is a very small storefront - look for Millie's on the corner of Hill and Washington and then go up Hill. They are right above Millie's. read more

This cute little spot just opened up and blew me away! Being that I'm a huge fan of açaí bowls (I even love to make my own) I would say I'm definitely extremely picky with where (and if) I buy an açaí bowl from. It's my favorite snack to have since it keeps me full for a few hours. The base of their açaí immediately sold me! It was creamy, with a hint of sweetness and paired so well with my toppings. I got a medium bowl with toppings for $10. They have other shakes and items on the menu too (why does everything look so good?!). There's only a few seats by the window, so be ready to get your bowl to go if it's busy. Service was quick, the owners were super involved and friendly, and there was a lot of street parking available! I'll be back to try the coffee shake next. The new kids on the block know what they're doing! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Acai Bar! I was looking for something refreshing to get since its been so hot the past few days. Acai Bar popped up & looked so fresh so I had to go. The store is so cute I wish I can go inside! Parking was pretty easy to find, it's street parking so it really depends on the day. I got two Acai bowls, one nature and one energy. The size was perfect for the price. Everything in the bowl tasted amazing and they have so many toppings to choose from! So glad I was able to visit Acai Bar for some yummy Acai! read more

Acai bar - @thebunbobae - Acai Bowls Near Me - Pasadena, California

One of the best acai bowls in Pasadena. Smoothies are a bit overpriced, though. It's an overall good, quaint cafe.

I work about a block away and I'm always in the area around lunch time exploring or eating and noticed a new place called Açaí Bar opening up. I'm familiar with açaí and there is no açaí around me at all so I went and knocked on the door because I saw some movement. The guy who opened the door happened to be the owner and they had barely just started renovations. That was 6 months ago. When the time came closer to opening I was luckily able to try some samples during their training and as an açaí fan, I hadn't tasted açaí as creamy and natural as theirs So they finally opened up yesterday, 1/20/20, and blew away my expectations because other than the açaí, that coffee shake is fire! I'm so happy it's open. It's a simple menu with simple, healthy, fulfilling ingredients. The decor is like jungle modern. Small but perfect size for what they're doing And the best part is they are very welcoming and friendly. Great customer service even before they opened! read more

Cute new little place! The staff was so nice and the açaí has a great flavor without being too sweet. Even the small size is enough especially once you add the fantastic topping options. Nicely priced! I tried the drip coffee as well - yummy and again at a great price. I would come back just for the customer service, but will keeping coming back for the delicious bowls. Delicious and convenient spot with nice employees. My boyfriend and I stopped by after a workout class, right before they closed. It was the perfect choice! The açaí was delicious - we got almond butter and the granola was one of the best I've had. We also got strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and mangoes. Everything went well together. The staff was helpful and gave us suggestions. The Pineapple Mint smoothie caught our eye and we couldn't resist. It made me think of being at the spa. The place was very cute too! Okay I've been to this location and the Monrovia location and there's a huge difference. Four stars for the Pasadena location!!!! The ingredients were fresh and I loved how the young lady making my ball was "heavy-handed" putting everything in the bowl, I really felt like I was getting my money's worth. Berry Me bowl has acai and berries with bee pollen and I added coconut. The only thing that almost ruined my experience was I specifically asked for light bee pollen, just a dash because if I have too much I have trouble lol and the young lady making my bowl didn't get the note and was heavy-handed on the bee pollen so I struggled a bit. Ha ha! If you like acai definitely a place to check out. My recommendation would be stick with getting a bowl and don't try the smoothie route - there's no comparison between those two items. Hands down the balls are tastier and a better deal ;) read more

So I'm not generally a fan of açai, because I feel a little too healthy... that being said, I was completely floored when I had the bowls and smoothies here! This is a great post-Eaton Canyon (about 5 min drive) Hike meal because it's healthy, fresh & just hits the spot. There's a Yelp check-in deal for free topping but here's a quick way to order. I got the build-your-own & the NATURE size ($6) is perfect (not too much & not too little). Each bowl/size you get comes with 3 FREE toppings...anything more is $1 more. Keep in mind tho that they do charge $1 off the bat for fresh fruit. My combo: fresh fruit (comes with strawberries, blueberries & mangos), peanut butter & coconut. GREAT COMBO! Everything tastes FRESH & natural. The acai was not overwhelmingly sweet. I know some places that taste artificial but this place was definitely good texture & level of sweetness. The fruits also fresh, not hard or soggy. Owner is really friendly! Got a chance to speak with him & you can tell he devoted time to really find that perfect acai and it is proved in the bowl! I loved it so much, I went back a second time the same day with my boyfriend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great prices, freshness all around & great taste! (Street parking btw lol!) read more

Pretty great food! Friendly employees! Service is fast! Ambience is sweet, but small. Delicious!

Great taste but just a lil weak on the aesthetic - maybe cuz I got peanut butter slathered all over. Felt like it is a very fair price for this bowl. Great service. Will def return for my acai bowl cravings. This place is a little hidden and it took me awhile to notice it but so glad I did. I thought it tasted so good and I'm kinda drooling thinking about it again haha. This block is one of my faves cause it has one of my fav dinners & coffee shops but now this place offers something else to choose from. I have been to places with more & less toppings for acai bowls but this place has a good amount and the most important ones to me. They make the bowls super quick which I'm always down for. Tho I hope next time it'll look prettier cause I'm basic like that. read more

We ordered our Acai bowls through the app and while they were delicious they were very expensive. Other Acai bowl places have granola and agave free and then your extra toppings are the fruit and peanut butter and stuff, but this place only gives you three toppings and it counts stuff like agave as toppings. So if you want a standard Acai bowl it ends up being pretty expensive. It's tasty but pricier than others places. To be honest I haven't had a bad Acai bowl anywhere so the only true difference to me is price. There's a place in Silver Lake called Roots and Rye that has unlimited toppings and I would definitely go there over this place! read more

After finishing a long run at the rose bowl, I was craving a really good Acai Place in the area. Luckily, I came across Acai Bar that exceeded my expectations! Parking was never a hassle and customer service was exceptional in every visit. The Acai base itself is SO delicious and thick. I hate melted Acai so I was extremely pleased to finally find a place that didn't have a soupy or runny consistency. The energy size is a good amount for me after a run because it's super filling but doesn't leave you waddling haha. Plus a free topping for checking in on yelp? Sold. I love free. These are the best acai bowls I've found! They don't offer the variety that other places do, but the quality is the best, hands down. It's simple, fast, friendly service, and well-priced. I think of it as kinda the In-N-Out of acai shops. Acai Bar is a very small storefront with maybe 1-2 tables. I have been going every Saturday to get a bowl to go. I like that they offer a different variety of bowl sizes and toppings. I don't always want a ginormous bowl for myself, so I usually go with the Starter bowl that includes one topping, then add a few more. The next-larger size is more cost-efficient, but I like the option of a smaller portion. I usually go with cacao nibs, granola, banana and PB. They also offer a variety of other fruits, almond butter, honey, coconut, etc. The best part is the acai base itself! Most of the time, it was wayyy too sweet and is loaded with added sugar, is too grainy, too watery and melts immediately, or artificial-tasting. Acai Bar's acai is fresh and natural tasting, not at all too sweet, and perfectly creamy. The owner is usually there when I stop by and is always friendly, welcoming. He remembered my name after my first visit... something I wish I were as good at! This is my favorite acai place and I don't think I could ever go to Jamba Juice or anything less, again! read more

From a 5 rating to a 3. Really upset Don't get me wrong this is still my favorite place it's more of the workers today, did not like them at all. The short blonde girl and short brunette girl were rude and did not give a welcoming vibe. Specificaly the girl with Brunette hair. The brunette girl had an accent too. When I would ask them q's for my order, just would respond with attitude. No thanks Lets get it down to my order: They got the order correct but the mangos that they put, you got one half of the mangos that were really soggy and didn't taste fresh at all then the other half they tasted fresh. So that was an issue. Next, I asked the girl with brunette hair to add extra agave, and she just poured straight into the bowl without drizzling it to make it even. Basically just plopped the agave right into the middle and it didn't taste even or as good at all. I'll give the rating up to a 4 once the customer service has improved. I'll still be coming for my acai bowls, but if I see the girl with brunette hair with the big nose-ish and blonde hair, I WONT be returning. read more
