This place is delicious! I got a starter butter me up with goji berries and it was perfection. The price was decent. Staff very friendly. the acai they use has a hint of sweetness and a stronger, thicker taste because they don't blend it....the staff showed me how the acai comes and it comes in a huge tub to keep it creamy and a thick consistency! 10/10 would recommend! read more

I can't comment on the açaí but from what I saw the bowls looked like a lot of granola and 2% açaí. Anyway! We tried the bullet proof coffee. It was not bullet proof, tasted really bad and the lids broke off. Please invest in sturdy lids! read more

Can we get a 0 stars rating up now? This one clearly deserves it. My friend got a coffee shake today before going to an appointment. Within 30 minutes, she had to run to the restroom vomiting and diarrhea liberally pouring from her body to the point where she was shaking on the bathroom floor of the salon. I was called when she could pick her head up to come and bring her home because she was too shaky and nauseous to drive. What makes me even more concerned is that when she called the establishment to let them know how sick she got from the drink, the person she spoke to tried to blame it on her, blame it on anything else she ate or drank that day (she hadn't had anything in her stomach since early morning so that couldn't be true), and swore that nothing that was in the drink could have made her sick. No sympathy. No offer to refund money. No offer to even replace the drink, but then again, she would NEVER go back and try the nightmare coffee shake again. Nothing. I'm outraged that my friend had this experience and then had to deal with an employee who just did not care and try to blame the customer. So....if you are thinking of doing a COMPLETE MOUTH TO ASS cleanse.....try the coffee shake from this place! Lately almost every time I order I receive incorrect items. Feels as though the associates aren't really paying attention.

I've been here so many times because it's right by my house, bu it just gets worse and worse. Today not only was the girl talking FOREVER instead of making my order, but I consistently get less and less in my serving. But I pay the same amount every time. I'm sorry but if you're going to charge $30 for this could you at LEAST give me my moneys worth???? Look how much space is in this medium servings. I'll be driving slightly further down hill at to UbaTuba for my açaí bowls from now on. They also don't charge a whole extra dollar for half a strawberry..... I've given Açaí bar several chances after not being satisfied the last 4 visits..... so. Yeah not anymore. UPDATE!!!!!!!! After the owner(?) reached out via Instagram for "calling him out publicly" I now wish I could give this place NEGATIVE STARS!!! I mean. This is just ridiculous and pathetic customer service. Tried to accuse me of "altering" these bowls and "walking around in the 85 degree heat for several minutes before eating, causing it to melt and appear less full." So rather than apologizing for shitty service and product. He then tried to make me feel as if I was at fault. Because it's a "mom and pop" shop. I could care less. I love a good Acai bowl. I have never been to the Acai bar in person, normally my family will pick it up for me. They have a number of options and toppings that are available to make the bowl tailored to your taste preferences and health goals. They also partner with Grub Hub and during the mask mandate, I was able to order a couple acai bowls to be delivered directly to a couple of my family members. Everything was so easy; placed the order, picked a time, paid for the order and added a tip for the delivery driver. This made life so convenient. I didn't need to leave my home (in a different city) and my family and the delivery driver didn't even have contact making the delivery safe for all involved. Can't say I agree with all the positive reviews. My experience was rather negative. I went there last night and was put off by the fact that the check out girl was wearing her mask only over her mouth but not the nose. I thought, ok, at least the girl who prepares the bowls wears her mask the right way. Then, next in line were two friends of the check out girl. She immediately pull her mask down completely and started posing for them as they were taking pictures. Mind you, it's a very small closed space and all this comes on the heels of the updated CDC guidelines about the virus staying suspended in the air. I felt very uncomfortable about how unprofessional and irresponsible that girl was acting. As for the açai - alas, way too sweet. I just moved to Pasadena from WeHo where I always went to Backyard Bowls and was hoping to find a new place here. Unfortunately, in my experience nothing compares to BYB. Their açai is so dense and creamy, it doesn't taste watered down like everywhere else. And it's not too sweet. But the toppings were good, the fruit was fresh and the girl who prepared the bowl for me was very nice. I might come back and try a smoothie in the future. read more

Update: as much as I LOVE this place I've been back here twice, and both employees were not wearing their mask properly each time I went. Nose completely exposed. I'm not trying to be a karen but when they make the bowls they lean over them and having your nose exposed makes wearing the mask pointless. I love their bowls so much but it's not worth risking Covid for it. Even if it's unlikely the workers have Covid its still super unsettling to see and as a business it should be taken more seriously. However the workers were really nice and attentive. But it's not my job to tell them to wear a mask properly like that puts me in such an awkward position that I shouldn't have to be in . Shouldn't have to pay (twice) for bowls that could be contaminated, if I knew she wasn't gonna wear her mask properly I would've left but I didn't see till AFTER I paid. This place is really good!! I've been looking for a good Acai bowl place and I am happy to come across this one! I ordered the $8 Acai bowl with three toppings. The toppings were really good!! The fruit was super fresh and the granola was really good and crunchy. The actual smoothie part was really think and has more of an ice cream consistency. I really liked this because I hate when my smoothie bowl melts super fast. But I can see that some other people (my boyfriend) might think it's too thick and frozen. Since they use one base for all their bowls they might make that fresh and then freeze it, so that might be why it's so frozen. But I personally liked the texture. The portion size was really good and it was plenty. I also really like how they mix the granola in with the Acai part instead of just putting all the toppings on top. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they messed up my boyfriends bowl. They gave him bananas instead of blueberries and we tried to go back to change it but there was a line and we didn't want to go around the other customers (who weren't wearing masks). This is one of the best açaí bowls in LA. The flavor and consistency of the açaí base is absolute perfection - not too sweet, chunky, icy, or tart. The açaí base is so smooth in texture you'd almost think you were eating ice cream! The quality of their toppings is always good, and I also appreciate their gluten free granola option. The only topping I enjoy from other açaí spots that this place doesn't have is chia seed pudding (but they do have dry chia). They also make delicious smoothies. My friend and I were looking for a healthy and refreshing açaí bowl after hiking a nearby trail. We found this spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try. They comply with social distancing and have it setup with the cashier in the doorway so as to not let any people in the tiny shop! Thankfully they had a small table in front and we were able to sit since the order took a little bit to get out. My friend ordered the Berry Me Bowl and I opted for the Açaí Berry Smoothie (drinkable since I had to drive). It was cold and refreshing and although I tasted more blueberry than anything it wasn't bad.. just an observation. So I guess my only complaint about this smoothie is that the chunks of dates kept getting stuck in the straw. My suggestion would be to either get bigger straws (like the ones used for boba), or throughly blend the dates to avoid this in the future. read more

They are also very generous with the toppings! We usually order online and pick up and it's always ready by the given time (use their website over 3rd party services cause it's cheaper for the customer and better for the business). Both times I've been to açaí bar, my experiences have been disappointing. The first time was when I got their açaí bowl and saw that the açaí bowl had more granola than the actual açaí. I take my son my music class every Tuesday and I always see this place every time since it's right next door and wanted to give it a try. Today is the day that I finally get to try this place, since I have a long day and won't be able to stop for food.
