Well, this is an extension of a previous review and revival of a lasting nightmare, We purchased this fridge in 2022 moving into our new home along with a bundle of other Profile appliances, and a Sony TV. as I said in prior review the TV broke, the Stove was defective and had to be replaced and the fridge died and the compressor was replaced after a loss of ALL food in fridge and freezer. This fridge died yet again, This is now the 3rd compressor in as many years. I have owned GE Profile for over 20years. 3 sets of them in that time. GE has lost any quality control of their product. ABT hesitantly stands behind this brand. When I made my 1st call for service ABT stated 3weeks was earliest the Fridge could be serviced leaving me without through the T-day holiday. Nope. After a review amended on Google, I received a call from scheduler for "emergency service" the next week. said he could be out that Mon the 17th. Due to work obligations I scheduled for that Friday 21st morning...4 days later. I can be flexible. "Sue" offers some snarky replies in my review that I refused the 17th and "opted for later date" then says I had a call for an earlier scheduling...I did receive that call. Scheduler stated he could guarantee a "morning" service call to fit my work schedule. DO NOT BELIEVE THE BS. this technician as nice as he was, showed up at about 12:30. forcing my wife to come home from her job early to cover this. Compressor was replaced, NO CHARGE as GE covers the sealed system. They should NOT be dealing with this every 2 years. This is my LAST set of GE products. ALL I would like from ABT is integrity, stand behind your product, be honest about your service schedule and don't defend apathy in snarky replies when someone is in need of help. NO I will NEVER buy GE again. and will I ever use ABT again?... I am truly not sure. I will be back in the store to look at and research products, but Purchase? My local big box offers extended warrantee, free Install, and Haul away, with cash back on my card. That is tough to turn away. Am I willing to pay a premium for customer service and support? ABSOLUTLY! but seems like that edge has been lost. read more

EDIT 2: Amazing. Crew showed up and did an amazing job installing. There were even some challenges and they were super helpful and made it work. 10/10 service recovery from Abt. It would've been awesome if it had worked from the get-go but I understand that isn't going to happen 100% of the time. What matters is they made it right and we are very happy. Thank you! EDIT: Maria from Abt customer service VERY promptly reached out to me to find a way to make this work. I am looking forward to them following through on the install and look forward to updating to a 5-star review. Abt has been great for us in the past, but scheduling an oven install has been a disaster. When the crew came to install the oven they realized the amperage on the breaker wasn't correct and we would need electrical work done. This giant in-wall oven is now sitting in the middle of my house, and even now that I've gotten the electrical work done, the install I was told they could come right back for can't be scheduled for over 2 weeks, during which time I won't have a functioning oven at all because the electrical work done rendered my old oven useless. read more

After my review posted ABT did reach out and set up an appointment for GE to come out and check my stove. They came out, hooked it up to a computer and said it was fine. He also inferred I was not preheating the stove long enough and that was my problem. I am posting a picture of the muffins I baked in my so called working oven after preheating it for a half an hour. I guess I must not know how to use the stove. Again, I would avoid the GE Cafe line, double oven, mine doesn't work properly and they don't stand behind their product. read more

The delivery and installation service team that dropped off and installed our Bluestar range were exceptional.

Prices are about the same as everyone else, but after almost 2 months the promised rebates from Abt and GE have not materialized so it appears I'm out the $650 of Labor Day rebates that should have been applicable for my purchase of 3 appliances. Honestly, ordering on the Abt website was pretty easy and installation dates were quick which was important since the refrigerator at my new house randomly decided it would hang out at 45-50 degrees and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, the delivery team was not very good - they showed up early in the morning, knocked once, and were ready to drop everything on my front porch and leave despite me paying for inside delivery, installation, and removal of 3 old appliances. Only after I went outside and noticed that was their plan did they call somebody at my insistence and begrudgingly delivered & installed all 3 items inside - even then they somehow/supposedly didn't show item removal for an old refrigerator and again we had to struggle to get the service I had ordered & paid for. And on the water line for the new refrigerator, the delivery team couldn't do it so they set up an Abt plumber appointment for the next day at additional cost. At about 6:45 AM the next morning I get a call saying they're about 15 minutes away and will arrive shortly. Okay, some level of notice would have been nice. Then the plumbers seem annoyed being here and one guy immediately busts his nose while doing something under the kitchen sink. Eventually they got the fridge water line installed but not without drama and I have to say my entire Abt experience was extremely light on communication as well as delivery/installation expertise. I now get emails and mailings quite frequently from Abt trying to get me to buy additional items, but at this point I definitely have no interest. The appliance market doesn't have many great options, but sadly Abt is no gem from my recent experiences. read more

We purchased a microwave from ABT. Not exactly local, but no one local had the make and model we wanted. The price was comparable, but they had it in stock so, across the country it went! Given the mileage, it arrived in good time. Unfortunately, it was damaged in transit or installation (tbh, I really have no idea). ABT customer service took care of it and our new microwave looks and functions perfectly. I highly recommend ABT. Being 2,000 miles away complicates things a bit, but I would not hesitate to do business with them again. read more

Zero stars. I'm genuinely confused by the strong reputation of ABT Electronics, because my first--and definitely last--experience did not reflect it. I was given incorrect guidance on product options, required to take a full day of PTO without a delivery window, and my dryer arrived inoperable while the installation also disrupted my hot water service. There was no proactive follow-up, I was initially told I might be charged for the issue, and service was scheduled days out with little sensitivity to the impact. This resulted in lost income, added expenses, and significant stress during my first week at a new job. I expected far better given their reputation. read more

I have 2 appliances that are barely 2 years old simultaneously failing, abt wanted to change 199 just for the service call for the leaking LG fridge (which seems to be a common issue). The Bosch dishwasher has been giving me problems since I've had it but they could never figure out what was wrong and now it's also 150 to come look at it. I really hate to leave a bad review for a place that I love.However, the service has truly gone downhill. We ordered a bunch of appliances for our office build out and i'm aware things don't last forever. However, we tried to get our service done through their service department and it's a total nightmare, every single time. This time, I can't even get a response from anybody. It's been two weeks since the tech finally made it out to my site after yet again, many, many issues getting them there during our business hours, even though we told them and chatted them and called them. When the tech arrived he took a look at the malfunctioning fridge and told me he'd check about my condenser and get back to me. I have emailed them three times I even went and found an email for a general manager that won't respond to me either. Can someone plead just email or call me back? I'm. I would always call gas co after abt installs. Most people don't know they aren't checking with the soap water as last step to find leaks. They did this to me and I got co2 and gas exposure. They had to return several times and returning today. Gas co stated 9 out of 10 times it is abt who fails to properly install. Will update. P.S. Update. Writing a review as a home owner. I am SO grateful Abt exists. The sales associates know their stuff and make it so painless to find the appliance that is going to work for you. I never ever feel pressured or like they are just trying to make a sale. So far I have gotten a microwave, bed, oven, dishwasher and fridge. The delivery process and install process could not be more painless. Oh I forgot I also got my Dyson here that I love! I went to the vacuum section and in less than five minutes the sales associate helped me pick out the one that would be best for our hardwood floors/home. I love how easy it is to set up service and anytime I need service for things in the past they technicians have all been so professional and done great work. They remove your old appliance as well and will recycle. Ok fine, I'm not done. When they delivered my dishwasher. There was a slight dent at the bottom that I probably would not have noticed at first. The service man brought it to attention and offered to have them bring me a new one next week. They left the dented one in so I would have something to use and then switched it out the following week. read more

Let me begin by saying that ABT Appliances has a life long customer with me and my family and furthermore they are the only appliance store that I would ever recommend. Here is my story, after just short of 8 years my $2500 refrigerator just decided to stop working causing me to lose hundreds of dollars worth of food. After contacting the manufacturer I was passed off to their authorized service technicians to address the issue. I was informed by the techs that my issue was in the sealed system which was under a 10 year warranty. 6 weeks, 5 visits, $575 dollars later I was still without a refrigerator. Not to mention that I was forced to buy a garage unit as using an ice cooler was getting old. Finally after 5 weeks of throwing parts into my unit the technician ran out of ideas and on the 6th visit the service company sent a hatchet man out to pronounce my refrigerator "unrepairable". After complaining to the manufacturer they finally offered to replace my broken refrigerator with a new one. In haste, and with very little time to research their offerings I chose one over the phone with one of their "resolution team" associates. However after about 25 minutes of placing the order I contacted them back to try and put a hold on finalizing a decision until I had a chance to actually look at the units and gather some reviews. I was told that it was too late to change the order and that unfortunately I would have to live with my decision. At this point I decided to throw in the towel and just buy another refrigerator. I took a drive up to ABT where I purchased the fridge almost 8 years before to begin the search. I was so angry and offended by the way I was treated by the manufacturer and the service company, not to mention how the whole fiasco played out that I thought I would at the very least vent to a store manager not expecting much in the way of satisfaction. Here is where I was surprised. The appliance manager Randy Goldman patiently listened to my tale of woe. He offered some suggestions and then took his time to show me some replacement options and offer his opinions on various models. He then connected me with one of his salespeople John Babana who also helped me to understand today's refrigerators and what to expect moving forward. I was able to carefully and confidently select a replacement thanks to the both of them. Randy also went out of his way to extend a phenomenal price on the unit and offer an extended warranty at a reduced cost as a goodwill gesture for everything I had been through. They even had the unit delivered and installed the next day and hauled away the old unit without cost. They treated me with respect and kindness, something rarely seen in today's world. My hats off to Daniel and Modesto in truck #2029 for a flawless delivery and installation. As far as the replacement refrigerator, I chose a GE Side by Side model # GSS25IYNFSS and couldn't be happier. Fingers crossed it lasts at least 8 years. But one thing is for sure, if ever I need another appliance I will only shop ABT. Thanks to everyone for their help. read more

We bought two refrigerators from abt. First failed in about 4 years, no longer under warranty. Got a new one that was supposed to be good, an LG. Less than 4 years old, it too stopped working. Called abt, they offer free repair since under warranty. Their "emergency" service date is August 1, just about a week away! So we called another service to find out what is wrong. This other appliance repair company diagnosed as compressor failure, a common LG flaw the tech said. I called abt back and asked if they could bring a new compressor with them so we don't have to wait even longer to get a working refrigerator. Abt refuses to accept third party diagnosis and refuses to make sure they have a compressor on hand. I was impressed that after posting my review, abt contacted me to discuss it. The conversation was great and I appreciate them making the effort to contact me and try to improve my experience. First they indicated at the time of sale, this compressor issue was not known. Second they indicated all appliance manufacturers quality seems to be declining. I offered two things that would be valuable to customers: 1. Tell them for each brand under consideration the average time to first failure for the brand. 2. Tell them for each brand how many parts a year they are selling that aren't inside a complete machine because if they move many parts as individual sales and not as components of complete units, then probably that manufacturer has crappy products requiring many repairs. We'll see if they get better at giving customers historical data on the brands they carry. For now, upping them to 4 stars because they seem to care and want to do right by customers. read more

Bought a pair of GE washer & gas dryer. The washer makes noise but I was told that is normal. It's not that bad. The gas dryer needed service and was told a part worn out. We are in our 70's and do not do that much laundry for part to wear out. Abt went and got this repair covered under warranty. Hunter the service man did a fantastic job fixing the dryer. I would give 10 stars to ABT Appliance if I could. They are outstanding. read more

Before The Doctor became The Doctor in my life, he shopped here. Bought his first TV here in wooden cabinet and we still have it. Through marriage, it became my store for any major appliance and the sales person has been the same over the past 30 plus years. This visit was to replace my wine fridge. Full disclosure, this was my first time to the physical location as I don't do a lot of brick and mortar shopping, The Doctor does. I have to say I was impressed with the overall store. What I thought was a mall was actually the store with different subsection....luggage, watches, cameras, food, sub zero freezers, Apple, etc. Quite impressive. The sales person we worked with is one that The Doctor has worked with forever. We had to wait a bit to see him, which gave me time to explore the other stores. This is truly one stop shopping, from luggage to mattresses to full kitchens. I like the idea of one stop shopping. There were also fresh homemade cookies being baked on site and being passed out for free. We were able to replace my wine fridge with a new model and get a reduction on the price and free pick up for the old one. The delivery time was set at the time we purchased the fridge and I am happy to say that they called and showed up on time. The delivery people were very nice and professional and quick. We are in the market for a new TV and The Doctor has his heart set on a new fridge that makes artisan ice cubes, so we will be back. read more
