Update. Writing a review as a home owner. I am SO grateful Abt exists. The sales associates know their stuff and make it so painless to find the appliance that is going to work for you. I never ever feel pressured or like they are just trying to make a sale. So far I have gotten a microwave, bed, oven, dishwasher and fridge. The delivery process and install process could not be more painless. Oh I forgot I also got my Dyson here that I love! I went to the vacuum section and in less than five minutes the sales associate helped me pick out the one that would be best for our hardwood floors/home. I love how easy it is to set up service and anytime I need service for things in the past they technicians have all been so professional and done great work. They remove your old appliance as well and will recycle. Ok fine, I'm not done. When they delivered my dishwasher. There was a slight dent at the bottom that I probably would not have noticed at first. The service man brought it to attention and offered to have them bring me a new one next week. They left the dented one in so I would have something to use and then switched it out the following week. read more

Let me begin by saying that ABT Appliances has a life long customer with me and my family and furthermore they are the only appliance store that I would ever recommend. Here is my story, after just short of 8 years my $2500 refrigerator just decided to stop working causing me to lose hundreds of dollars worth of food. After contacting the manufacturer I was passed off to their authorized service technicians to address the issue. I was informed by the techs that my issue was in the sealed system which was under a 10 year warranty. 6 weeks, 5 visits, $575 dollars later I was still without a refrigerator. Not to mention that I was forced to buy a garage unit as using an ice cooler was getting old. Finally after 5 weeks of throwing parts into my unit the technician ran out of ideas and on the 6th visit the service company sent a hatchet man out to pronounce my refrigerator "unrepairable". After complaining to the manufacturer they finally offered to replace my broken refrigerator with a new one. In haste, and with very little time to research their offerings I chose one over the phone with one of their "resolution team" associates. However after about 25 minutes of placing the order I contacted them back to try and put a hold on finalizing a decision until I had a chance to actually look at the units and gather some reviews. I was told that it was too late to change the order and that unfortunately I would have to live with my decision. At this point I decided to throw in the towel and just buy another refrigerator. I took a drive up to ABT where I purchased the fridge almost 8 years before to begin the search. I was so angry and offended by the way I was treated by the manufacturer and the service company, not to mention how the whole fiasco played out that I thought I would at the very least vent to a store manager not expecting much in the way of satisfaction. Here is where I was surprised. The appliance manager Randy Goldman patiently listened to my tale of woe. He offered some suggestions and then took his time to show me some replacement options and offer his opinions on various models. He then connected me with one of his salespeople John Babana who also helped me to understand today's refrigerators and what to expect moving forward. I was able to carefully and confidently select a replacement thanks to the both of them. Randy also went out of his way to extend a phenomenal price on the unit and offer an extended warranty at a reduced cost as a goodwill gesture for everything I had been through. They even had the unit delivered and installed the next day and hauled away the old unit without cost. They treated me with respect and kindness, something rarely seen in today's world. My hats off to Daniel and Modesto in truck #2029 for a flawless delivery and installation. As far as the replacement refrigerator, I chose a GE Side by Side model # GSS25IYNFSS and couldn't be happier. Fingers crossed it lasts at least 8 years. But one thing is for sure, if ever I need another appliance I will only shop ABT. Thanks to everyone for their help. read more

I would always call gas co after abt installs. Most people don't know they aren't checking with the soap water as last step to find leaks. They did this to me and I got co2 and gas exposure. They had to return several times and returning today. Gas co stated 9 out of 10 times it is abt who fails to properly install. Will update. P.S. I really hate to leave a bad review for a place that I love.However, the service has truly gone downhill. We ordered a bunch of appliances for our office build out and i'm aware things don't last forever. However, we tried to get our service done through their service department and it's a total nightmare, every single time. This time, I can't even get a response from anybody. It's been two weeks since the tech finally made it out to my site after yet again, many, many issues getting them there during our business hours, even though we told them and chatted them and called them. When the tech arrived he took a look at the malfunctioning fridge and told me he'd check about my condenser and get back to me. We bought two refrigerators from abt. First failed in about 4 years, no longer under warranty. Got a new one that was supposed to be good, an LG. Less than 4 years old, it too stopped working. Called abt, they offer free repair since under warranty. Their "emergency" service date is August 1, just about a week away! So we called another service to find out what is wrong. This other appliance repair company diagnosed as compressor failure, a common LG flaw the tech said. I called abt back and asked if they could bring a new compressor with them so we don't have to wait even longer to get a working refrigerator. Abt refuses to accept third party diagnosis and refuses to make sure they have a compressor on hand. I was impressed that after posting my review, abt contacted me to discuss it. The conversation was great and I appreciate them making the effort to contact me and try to improve my experience. First they indicated at the time of sale, this compressor issue was not known. Second they indicated all appliance manufacturers quality seems to be declining. I offered two things that would be valuable to customers: 1. Tell them for each brand under consideration the average time to first failure for the brand. 2. Tell them for each brand how many parts a year they are selling that aren't inside a complete machine because if they move many parts as individual sales and not as components of complete units, then probably that manufacturer has crappy products requiring many repairs. We'll see if they get better at giving customers historical data on the brands they carry. For now, upping them to 4 stars because they seem to care and want to do right by customers. read more

I had placed one previous small order with Abt and was very happy with the way the shipment was packaged, the price and the shipping time, so when I found my TV on their website I ordered it. Before The Doctor became The Doctor in my life, he shopped here. Bought his first TV here in wooden cabinet and we still have it. Through marriage, it became my store for any major appliance and the sales person has been the same over the past 30 plus years. This visit was to replace my wine fridge. Full disclosure, this was my first time to the physical location as I don't do a lot of brick and mortar shopping, The Doctor does. I have to say I was impressed with the overall store. What I thought was a mall was actually the store with different subsection....luggage, watches, cameras, food, sub zero freezers, Apple, etc. Quite impressive. The sales person we worked with is one that The Doctor has worked with forever. We had to wait a bit to see him, which gave me time to explore the other stores. This is truly one stop shopping, from luggage to mattresses to full kitchens. I like the idea of one stop shopping. There were also fresh homemade cookies being baked on site and being passed out for free. We were able to replace my wine fridge with a new model and get a reduction on the price and free pick up for the old one. The delivery time was set at the time we purchased the fridge and I am happy to say that they called and showed up on time. The delivery people were very nice and professional and quick. We are in the market for a new TV and The Doctor has his heart set on a new fridge that makes artisan ice cubes, so we will be back. read more

Bought a pair of GE washer & gas dryer. The washer makes noise but I was told that is normal. It's not that bad. The gas dryer needed service and was told a part worn out. We are in our 70's and do not do that much laundry for part to wear out. Abt went and got this repair covered under warranty. Hunter the service man did a fantastic job fixing the dryer. Purchased from ABT many years ago. Decided to try them again last month to replace several years old Panasonic cordless phone system which I was fairly happy with but battery life was lacking. I purchased the more premium system, KXTGM430B,(with 3 additional cordless phones) for better sound clarity. I also purchased the extended warranty. Brian Rozycki, was my sales rep and he was very good. Unfortunately, today, after about 1 week since setting up the new system one of the phones failed. After a couple of minutes into a call, call went dead; phone display dead. Then it came back on. Removed and reinstalled Panasonic rechargeable batteries (that came with the phone). Still, same issues. Called ABT and they said (sounding somewhat reluctantly) that they would replace the bad phone "since it's within 30 days of purchase date". But now I have to wait for ABT to receive defective unit before they'll replace it. I asked to speak to a mgr but none were available. So I will be out the phone for a couple of weeks or more. Not at all happy with customer service at ABT. They could at least send me a new phone immediately and then credit me when they receive the defective one back; they didn't offer me that option. Next time I will purchase from Amazon or Best Buy. I don't understand why ABT would choose to piss off a good, reasonable customer? Too bad. read more

Because ABT offers so many different items and brands, it can be a wait before a Salesperson can assist you on a weekend. I am not sure if Customers come on the weekend exclusively to buy or indulge in the FREE chocolate chip cookies? Scout out the Candy Store for a super fresh sweet treat before you purchase an item. After you make your purchase for the actual item(s) you came to purchase, ABT will give you a coupon for the Candy Store. It's a little $$$ but they have the freshest bulk candy items. I splurged on the gummy Dinosaurs. They were excellent! I recently got to take a tour with the Store's GM: Rich Rene who provided 1 1/2 hours of valuable info to us Coldwell Banker Realtors. I've been buying different appliances and TVs from ABT since the late 80s I will never go there again. Less than two years ago we purchased refrigerator stove microwave dishwasher. The dishwasher broke less than two years I called. They told me it was out of warranty. I said how could this machine break less than two years the salesman or the customer service could care less his response was sorry sometimes it's happens really a lifelong customer. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery and installation. The team was careful from the start, covering their boots to keep my house clean. They quickly spotted a plumbing issue that could have delayed the dishwasher install and coordinated with dispatch for a solution. Luckily, a plumber was already on the way, so they worked together to fix the plumbing, cut the cabinet, and run an electric line. The installers were patient, explained everything, and reassured me throughout the process. Afterward, they cleaned up and showed me how to use the unit. THREE EXPERIENCES WITH THE COMPANY: 1) Bought a dishwasher. After it was installed, the buttons didn't work. I called Abt and they sent out and installed a new washer within a day or two. 2) Bought a replacement for my 1980s GE microwave OVER THE PHONE!! They sent out the product with an installer and he had it hanging from my cabinet in no time. 3) Current purchase is a washer. I think that the installers might have erred in the leveling process. I will be contacting Abt tomorrow and I expect that they will send out a technician to make sure that the washer is properly leveled. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY RECOMMEND ABT!! Do you want a "one-and-done proper fix" for your issue? Then you want to go to Abt. You can TRUST Abt to set you up with the proper product and make sure that it's properly installed and working as intended. I am TOTALLY COMMITTED to Abt. I won't buy another major appliance from anyone else. Further, they have a "mall" of side shops offering a vast array of other products. All of these are backed by the same guarantee: the customer will get what they want with no problems. Edyta helped us order a new GE oven in person. Very knowledgeable and it was a smooth and easy process. The delivery date arrives (Monday) and they have brought the wrong oven, a Samsung. The delivery guys looked up the order and said Edyta changed the order. Ok, weird. Maybe she pulled up the wrong account by accident when switching someone else's order? Anyway, the delivery guys called customer service and a new delivery time was booked for the correct oven and they even left the incorrect one so I wouldn't be without one until the new one arrived. Very nice to offer that and while the whole thing is confusing, at least the new one is on its way. Now it's Friday, new oven arrives. Perfect, quick installation. All set. Delivery guys great again. I finally get around to checking my emails from the holidays and on the day after the initial delivery (Tues, Christmas Eve) I received a separate email confirming a $699 warranty purchase (for the wrong oven). We had declined the extended warranty. So now I'm getting worried for an extra $699 charge on my card. Not good around the holidays. Today, Friday afternoon I called and talked to Edyta and she said something to the effect of "oh remember we talked about how you just got a new Samsung fridge and you were thinking of getting the oven to match?" No, we never specifically talked about that (only that I recently got one), but I'm sure she could see previous purchases in my file. Either way, I paid for and have a receipt for the GE oven. Why in the world would Edyta just go ahead, days later, and switch what kind of oven I wanted with no prompting? AND ADD A $700 warranty I never asked for!?!?!? I am completely baffled by this. But, she said it should all be resolved by the end of the day today. I'm holding judgement. If all is resolved, I'll update my review, but definitely not to 5 starts. Abt has a wide variety of the electronics. We bought the refrigerator from them for the size which was not available with any dealer. We bought SubZero refrigerator and a barbecue grill. Definitely recommend opening their credit card if you are buying expensive electronics as their credit card will give you 2 years interest free payments. read more
