Specifically 5 stars because of Brent. I have fidelity national home warranty and Aaron Pools and Brent are the only vendor/technician I will allow home warranty to send to my property. Always on time, provides accurate diagnosis, and does great install work and goes the extra mile. To note, he just came out and diagnosed a spa pump motor was seized and needed replacement. Low and behold my warranty doesn't cover that, which is insane, but that's not his fault or Aaron Pools for that matter. Seems like some negative reviews are because of home warranty issues, which is unjustified. I will need to pay out of pocket to get this fixed, but that's a me problem. Do not work with this company. Save yourself the misery of having to deal with condescending techs, horrible customer service, and poor quality of work. They are the "go to" for First American Home Warranty for some reason, and every experience with them has been a nightmare. Update - a new company came out, approved the repair and will be taking care of it no problem. I had explained the exact same way I did today to the Tech from Aaron Pools, but he had decided he did not want to do the work on the spot and reported the way he did to First American so they would deny the claim. It was intentional, lazy and borderline criminal. He gave me the cold shoulder the whole time he was here knowing what he was going to do and then gave a little "F You" smile at the end for good measure. A First American supervisor also agreed on the phone that the tech was wrong and should have done the repair. Aaron Pools picks and chooses the warranty work they want to do, and if they don't want to do the job, they pocket the fee, make sure the home warranty company denies the claim and move on to screwing more homeowners. My cartridge filter system cracked , fortunately it was covered under my home warranty plan. Aarons Pool Service was sent out to inspect and to establish to right item to replace. Brent their Tech came out both times to inspect and install the new one. While he was their he inspected pretty much entire system and fixed a few minor problems that he found. He waited until I got home and went through everything with me and let me know about about a few things to keep an eye on this roughly 20 year system. Aaron Pools was sent to my residence to fix a pool motor by Old Republic. They replaced the motor with a "remanufactured" one (per contract terms), however, it the housing looks like it has been drug down the road (heavily dented, paint chipping off and rusted). When brought to his attention at install - the service tech initially dismissed it as "all Old Republic would pay for" ultimately admitting that it had been in the back of a couple trucks for a few weeks "rolling around" and "if [I] didnt like the way it looked he had some spray paint he could spray it with". His unprofessional behavior was noted and commented upon by other tradesmen (including another pool contractor) who were at my property at the time. To make matters worse, he took the old motor without my permission - no doubt to have it "remanufactured" and pawned off on someone else. At least its housing was in good condition! read more

The technician came through Fidelity Warranty. The motor was EXTREMELY LOUD. He immediately mentioned that possible ball-bearing or a shaft issue. But in his report to the warranty company, he deliberately avoided the main fault and noted that the motor is noisy, otherwise ok. He knows how to make warranty company deny the repairs. When I called the office to ask why they did not mention what's wrong with the motor so that Warranty Company could actually take an action, the lady at the desk didn't care. She said, talk to warranty company. They are the ones who denied the claim. The owner Daniel is unavailable at office. The desk lady says he is a very busy man. read more

Like many people here, I was connected to Aaron pools through our home warranty. I want to reiterate: They have NOTHING to do with your warranty coverages. Most of these reviews seems to be aimed at the wrong company... Brent with Aarons pools came out and and did the inspection. He was awesome. He is so knowledgable and took the time to answer my many questions. He replaced a union for us and double checked everything with the pool. He gave me really good advice on how to continue caring for the pool. We had some questions a few days after he was here and called, and he took the extra time to answer more questions that were unrelated to the original issue. I will definitely be using them and recommending them moving forward. read more

The technician that worked on my pool cracked the PVC pipe on the valve & they are refusing to come back out to replace the pipe.

If I could give it zero stars I would. It's unfortunate when a company like this pairs up with Warranty companies and they basically collude to not get things fixed. Exactly what happened to me. My pool pump had been making loud grinding. Noises suction was way down. The spa jets were very weak and there was a leak coming out of the housing on the pump side. It was obvious that my 10-year-old pump was on its last legs. Anybody could tell. When the technician from Aaron Pools showed up and I walked out in the backyard. He didn't say hi I'm so and so from Aaron Pools. He didn't say this is what's wrong with your Pool. He said this is what your warranty company will cover. I knew immediately how this was gonna go so I told him go ahead give them your diagnosis and see what they say. It was obvious that the pump was failing. He said I know they'll cover the pump Housing where it's cracked and spraying water. he left and within an hour I got an email from the warranty company, saying they were not gonna cover it and furthermore the reasons they said they weren't gonna cover it because in the technicians professional opinion this was a pre-existing condition which there was not. Some companies out there still regard integrity as being a staple in their business. This one does not. read more

Our pool pump died, and our warranty company assigned Aaron Pools, which installed a replacement. Approximately five weeks later, the pump started making a sharp shrill noise like it was about to fail. This company provided no warranty for its faulty installation and parts, just insisted that I call the warranty company and cough up an additional fee as if they had never "fixed" it at all. They insisted the "parts" were covered but the labor was not, even though this resulted in absolutely no savings on my end. I'm sorry but if I pay $100 for you to fix something you need to fix it, I am not paying an additional $100 each time in perpetuity for you to correct what you should have done correctly the first time and thanking you for the privilege of being scammed simply because you insist over and over that it is "policy" to give people parts that fail with no recourse. read more

Our home warranty company, Old Republic, recently assigned a job to Aaron Pools to come out and evaluate why our pump was periodically tripping the circuit breaker and stopping. Tyler from Aaron came out said "the pump is running now, there is nothing we can do, call us back if it dies within 30 days". I asked if he could run some diagnostics on the pump to see what the underlying problem might be. His answer was "No. There is nothing I can do" I didn't buy this so I paid had another very good pool service company (SunBright Pools) to come and check it. He said the drive needed to be replaced because it was losing DC voltage between the drive and the display/control box. He also showed me how he accessed the diagnostic control/display on the pump and noticed it had tripped about 20 times. He gave me a price to do the replacement, suggested discussing it with the warranty company and never pressured us to agree to getting the work done by them. Maybe it was just the tech Aaron Pools sent out, but I'd never use this company again. read more

Absolutely incompetence. We had a home warranty call for outlet jacuzzi and Danny came out to troubleshoot the problem. The home warranty company denied our claim because he misdiagnosed the problem. You don't need to be an expert or a genius to diagnose the problem. The motor in the jacuzzi was making such a loud noise, that it was keeping us up at night and half the jets weren't working, but he said that the problem was a "water feature?" Are you joking? Aaron came out through my home warranty. There was a leak and there was no suction. He fixed the leak but said the filter needed to be maintained and that the home warranty does not cover. I said OK to go ahead and do the maintenance, that I would pay. He said he was too busy to do it and left. He advised me not to run the pump until the filter was maintained. When I went out back, the pool was a complete cloudy mess and you are telling me I cannot run the pump to clear it??? When I called them back Brent preceded to tell me it just physics from repairing the pipe (Brent apparently needs a physics lesson). Although the leak was fixed they left my pool in far worse condition than they found it and did not seem to care. read more

We were partnered with Aaron Pools through our Home Warranty company, Old Republic, when our pool pump started to leak, spilling gallons of water. We called on a Sunday, and had someone out in just a few days. Brent was our service advisor and could not have been better. He was very communicative, very easy to talk to, and keep us up to date on everything (even while we were out of town!). He called and talked to my husband, and of course, took the side of his condescending office manager, and very upset Pool Tech and pushed out us getting any repairs even further Do not use this company Customer service after the sale is huge as I said to the very rude office manager we understand problems happen, it's how they handled this the problem Taylor Who answers phones is wonderful ! Office mgr Julie incredibly condescending and didn't validate our concerns. She spent more time defending her upset pool tech who made very uncomfortable then having empathy and trying to help I explained we understand throngs happen, it's how it's handled that was the problem After 2 weeks without a running pool due to them installing a faulty motor they should make us a priority to fix whether they need to pay overtime or whatever it takes to have done within 24 hours, and not wait additional 5 days because as she said "techs have 10 jobs a day and if we can't help you I suggest you call your home warranty for new pool repair company" Manager stressed her techs have 10 jobs a day and can't do that so I need to call home warranty company and request a new provider which would be an additional service call fee at our expense. When I asked her to please not talk condescending she said "oh wow okay" I'm hoping for owner to call and rectify this situation and apologize since none came from tech, but told he's not in today, same thing we were told when we called over week ago when new pool motor quit working Manager was also very condescending about my concern over receiving new pool motor instead of refurbed one although I expressed her to please explain to me why since I'm the customer and she's the expert. I had a pool filter fail recently. I contacted Fidelity Home Warranty to dispatch a pool service. The service company felt the failure was due to poor maintenance (abuse). I contested the abuse claim with Fidelity as the pool is maintained by licensed pool company weekly. Fidelity contacted Aaron Pools as a courtesy second opinion. Aaron pools technician, Brent called to confirm his arrival time and showed up as promised. Brent was very thorough and performed an in-depth inspection of the failure mode of the filter. He determined the filter failure was due to age related fatigue (28yr old sand filter). Brent contacted Fidelity and supplied video of the inspection and a detailed analysis. Based on Brent's report Fidelity covered complete replacement of the pool filter. Due to the reputation of Aaron Pools, Fidelity was confident that the failure should be covered. Aaron pools brought value to the relationship between Fidelity and myself as the customer by providing an analysis that clearly explained the failure and eliminated a potential dispute over a claim that was originally misdiagnosed. read more

DONT GO WITH THEM Sent by AHS and said my pool pump broke bc due to NOT normal wear and tear which is biggest lie. I have second and third opinion from more reliable pool company with 4-5 star ratings - they all say it's normal wear and tear. My original pool pump brand is Hayward and apparently they do not make the ones I have anymore. (photo attached) Spoke to AHS, their technicians get paid by AHS just to go out there... one of the AHS staff felt bad and said there is nothing they can do, they have reported a complaint against Aaron pool. Aaron pool also claim they are the #1 pool company use by home warranty. Pls compare reviews when choosing a company to work with! Alex looked at my pool pump for less than 1 minute and left my home- he said it was rusty he can't look at anything to see if anything's wrong But some how he was able to tell AHS home shield what's wrong and that's it's not normal wear and tear. They also hang up the phone on you when confronted :) their communication is horrible. Save yourself time and money and go with other higher rated company - makes a huge difference and no stress! I waited 4 days for my appointment then they came out found the pressure on the filter was up and said the filter needed to cleaned and left. Had they looked further they would have noticed the backwash diverter valve is stuck and the motor continues to trip the breaker.. fast forward I call them back , wait another 3 days.. yes my pool is now a swamp, they call me on the way, I tell them to call me if they need anything as my daughter is home. They do not call but leave a note that they had no access to the breaker box., They were able to call 30 minutes ago... but suddenly they can't call?? I call the office only to be told I need to wait yet again for an appointment!??? Really, bc 2 of your techs took the lazy way of accessing an issue, I wait yet again .. very frustrating We have used Aaron's for years snd have never had any issue with the service until now! read more

Unfortunately you can't go less than 1 star. The work the Aaron Pools technician did caused damage to my pool. The high pressure caused by faulty replacement of the turbo valve blew the water main to the filter and the gasket coupler for the salt cell. The management fabricates excuses for the faulty work. Every time they have come out has caused follow on problems. I've had $600 water bill from previous work due to incomplete work. Be warned! read more
