E and E rehabbed our pool. Our estimator, Matt was our first contact and we thought he did a fine job explaining what would be involved. We had a few bids and they were tied for the lowest. When we compared them, we decided to use E and E. Junior, the scheduler, was also great. He gave us a tentative schedule and they hit it on the head. Although we didn't know it at the time, the chipping crew damaged a popup sleeve but the pebble crew spotted it and had a plumber fix it. We had a small issue repriming the pump but Kyle quickly fixed that too. Overall we felt they did a great job and we would recommend them. Arnold, the owner, has a unique personality. read more

But the one thing prospective costumers need tto know is his rude behavior and condescending attitude. Please look at my posted texts to prove this is not the company for you. The only way I could get work done is by going through his bond. Arnold and E&E pools is a company I will never work with again. I would caution anyone looking at this to find a different company. I cannot think of one positive thing to say about E&E other than I'm glad it's (almost) over. The lack of communication and project oversight is mind boggling. This lack of care on E&E's side cost me thousands of additional dollars and fundamentally changed the direction my project went. The additional work was for something that should have been identified as soon as the pool demo happened however I was not made aware of it for almost a month after the demo. During this month the pool sat in a demoed state, E&E had numerous people out looking at the pool and surroundings. Not one of them mentioned additional work or costs were going to be incurred. During this month E&E also accepted thousands of dollars for additional work that was being completed, leaving me no choice but to accept this change request or throw away tens of thousands of dollars of dollars in completed work. List of complaints include but are not limited to: Lack of communication Lack of project oversight No accountability, Arnold loves to deflect and blame others (he told me numerous times how he'd love to find the guy who build my pool, like it was his fault) - Newsflash E&E, your poor communication is the issue, not some guy who built a pool 30-50 years ago Arnold unexpectedly showing up at my house to asking for a payment of work that's scheduled to happen the next day. He didn't even know how much to even ask for which triggered a 10 minute back and forth with his people to nail down a number. - To be fair, he did give me a 10 minute heads up that he was on his way under the guise of checking in on the project. This is the only time I saw him. Contractors (or sub contractors?) showing up at 5am in April to start working - In the summer months I could understand the early start, but the temps in April were nowhere near summer temps Contractors ringing my doorbell for gate code access between 5-7am. E&E was well aware of the code by this point Contractors showing up to start a demo at 3pm and expecting to jackhammer until 7pm or later. After I told them to go home they show up again 7am the next morning - I live in a neighborhood, what company thinks this is reasonable? Outdated contracts being thrown in my face to try and take product I paid for, all so E&E could get credit towards other jobs Lack of day-to-day cleanup Lack of getting a cleanup crew to finish the job, even after they acknowledged the issue - It's been almost two weeks since they've been made aware and they are just now trying to schedule a project foreman to come assess the cleanup - They've already had one cleanup guy out here, so by the time my yard is cleaned, I will have been interrupted three times to accommodate a cleanup. E&E needs to send out a guy with a pressure washer, broom, and garbage can to cleanup the trash they left. - If E&E spent half the effort they put into coordinating and documenting a cleanup, I might not have as many complaints and we wouldn't be in this predicament. I am not impressed with the color discrepancies in the pebble, but I am told it's within standard variation and this is defined in the contract I am not impressed with the tile and sloppy grout work but again it's "in the contract" read more

I hired Arnold and his team to remodel my pool, decking and backyard. BE WARNED! He doesn't have anyone supervise his workers, makes excuses for damage and bad workmanship and blames the home owner for his mistakes. He constantly will say well if you don't have a video showing this my guys will say they didn't do it. He did very poor work in the yard, most of which I had to fix but left the rock area, hoping that ROC would do something, damaged the pool pop up head collars and didn't do the deck work as promised and damaged the gear box controlling the pop ups because he left it off during the entire remodel. I filed a ROC complaint and am still waiting to see if this does anything, probably not. I provided pictures, recording of calls to see if anything can be done. But in my humble opinion if you do business with Arnold unless you have your entire property lined with audio and video cameras be prepared to be SCREWED! He is nothing more then an 18th Century Wagon Riding Snake Oils Sales Man, In my opinion Just to add to this when Arnold starts calling you every other day saying What can I do to earn your business, tell him to put every detail in his contract. I was looking for a company to do monthly service and fix our pop-ups on our small pool, overall E & E had great reviews so I figure I'd give them a shot. Talked to Arnold (the owner) on Friday the 8th, he explained to me what 's involved for the maintenance and the cost, great attitude and everything. I told him I'd talk with my wife to confirm we were set and let him know the following Monday. I sent the text that following Monday morning stating that we're a go but never heard back from anyone. No problem, I waited till Wednesday and re-sent the message, I received a text back stating he needed my address, that's it. So I sent him my address thinking he was going to schedule a time to come look at the pool. Never heard anything after that, called a few day later and left a voice mail, never called back. From my point of view it's pretty disrespectful, if you don't want my business, tell me. Don't hide and hope your potential customer will just go away, it's not like your time is anymore valuable than anyone else. I have returned for another great review, from a repeat customer. Somehow, I managed to buy a new house and ended up with a leaking pool... again. (E and E built neither, ha!) Arnold came right out and talked me through the quite invasive process of crack repair, gave me a full competitive quote for the job, and discussed soil problems. We hopped on the call with the engineer right there in the yard and scheduled a personal visit from him. The result is I have to replace the pool (it is sinking!), but Arnold tried to work every angle with me and ended up not charging for the lengthy visit. His knowledge and experience was key to our decisions. He has been at it for 20 years and has seen just about everything a few times. I will call again. read more

While searching for a company to do my pool remodel (re-plaster, re-tile, re-deck) there were 3 criteria that I judged each company by. Arnold and his team at E&E pools exceeded expectations in all 3. 1. Customer Service 2. Quality of work 3. Competitive pricing Customer Service: Arnold's outgoing and positive attitude about the remodel had me sold from the start. He's very confident in his ability to get the job done and was able to come through on all of his promises. If I had a concern he was usually able to answer his phone right away, or get back to me within the hour. After all of my payments and remodel had been finished, Arnold went above and beyond to help get my pump running like new to make the remodel experience a pleasant one. Project was even finished ahead of schedule. If there was one thing that could have improved the experience.. it would be to have a tech to come out a few times after the remodel to help clean up the plaster dust that settles at the bottom of the pool. Quality of work: Plaster, tile, and decking turned out great. Had my spa converted to a baja step as well. The baja step was a huge hit at my memorial day party. Only complaint is that the workers used my grass area during a lot of the project and I now have a few dead spots. Not a big deal though. Competitive Pricing: I had 2 other companies come out and perform estimates.. AAA pools and Barefoot Pools. AAA was competitively priced, but had a 4 week lead time and there were a few line items that had potential to increase. I also wasn't impressed with AAA customer service. Barefoot pools was insanely overpriced. No idea how they came up with their estimate but it was almost 2x the cost and they had a 5 week lead time. E&E had the best estimate, and Arnold even through in a few extras for free to win my business. E&E does their best to price your project so that there won't be any surprise price increases. I was referred to this company by a neighbor who just had their pool resurfaced by E and E, they did such a beautiful job on my neighbor's pool. My pump and the piping had died of old age, and was unable to get clean - as the pool got greener, I luckily ended up with Dragonflies instead of mosquitoes, but E and E pools saved me from worst disaster. Arnold took good care of the process, and If I had any questions or concerns, he responded quickly - or if needed, came to the house to check on the progress and my questions. The work teams that came out were friendly , organized and worked hard, did a great job. Because the work was done near the end of summer and was too cold for me to swim in when finished, I love to sit out by the pool daily, enjoying the beauty of it , and cannot wait till its warm enough to jump in. We had several pool companies come over to give us estimates for our remodel but were shocked with some of the quotes. Also some of the pool reps seemed unfriendly and unsure about their services. When Craig from E & E Pools came over and patiently explained their services, reputation and procedures, we knew that this was the company we wanted to remodel our pool. Arnold, the owner is a very friendly person who personally stopped by the job site several times during the different stages to make sure the work was going smoothly. I have no complaint about the final product, the pool resurfacing turned out really nice. However my complaint is that the crew that did the work left a mess behind. They chipped the old pool pebble surface in one day, and I came home to dust EVERYWHERE. They made no attempt to cover plants or patio furniture, if it did not rain for the next 3 days the dust would still be coating my yard. When the tile was laid next they dumped a pile of extra grout in a corner and left it there until I told the owner about it. His reaction was not much better, when I pointed it out to him he tried to kick stones over it to cover it up, right in front of me! There were several other messes left that I discovered after the job was finished. My other issue was with the tile finish. When the tile was installed they did not bring the grout up in several places to cover existing grout at the pools edge, which left it looking mismatched. I was forced to withhold the final payment until this was accomplished, which was still difficult to get them to come back to do it. All in all it was not a pleasant customer service experience. As I said at the beginning the pool looks good but they have a lot to learn about being professional. So I reduced my initial review from 2 to 1 stars for the following reasons. After I wrote the initial review the owner responded on this site to say he wanted a chance to make it right. What he doesn't understand is that he had ample opportunity to do the right thing while the job was being done. Waiting to see if someone complains before fixing an issue is not being professional. He not only responded on this forum he also called my spouse and myself several times as well as texting both of us. When we did not respond rather than get the hint that we had nothing further to say to him, he showed up at our house shouting at the front door for us to answer. When he was told that as far as we were concerned the job was done and we wanted him to leave his response was to shout curses while jumping up and down and calling us names. I would not recommend using E and E Pools. While very friendly, they are not able to keep to a schedule or follow up when issues. I've been trying to get a warranty claim taken care of for almost 6 months. It will be scheduled and no one shows up, no message, no call, just no one shows. This has gone back and forth now with his foreman for 6 months. I can look past some issues and I understand scheduling challenges can happen, if you tell me. All it takes is a simple phone call when you are going to be late, instead I have to track them down. One of the few times they've been on time is when it was time to pay the bill. 50/50 with my experience with E & E Pools. I had them do a re-plumb project for a Filter/Pump move and the work was satisfactory and I felt that I got value for my cost. But I also had them do a Chlorine bath/cleaning after I had drained the pool. I would definitely suggest that you get comparative pricing on that task if you are considering going with E&E pools. The process to clean the pool is bring about (8) 2 gallon boxes of Chlorine (same as you buy at the store) and then proceed to pour down the side of the pool walls and then use a push broom to scrub and hose off with hose. Definitely not worth the $550 I paid. They didn't drain the pool or even put in start up chemicals like other companies do for the refill. So I felt like that was way over priced for what I got with that part of the deal. read more

Pebble Tec Pool had cracks and chipping around the water line. They laser cut out the water line. We added tile around the water line and face of spa. Also did a Bagezzaus clean with start up chemicals. Turned out beautiful and like a new pool! Arnold was efficient and kept you informed. read more

We are new pool owners, and choose E&E Pools because of the many good reviews. We wanted a very simple 15x23 saltwater play pool, turf to cover the remaining yard and gravel along the brick fence. When I say simple I mean it. Nothing about our project was complex. It turns out it's better to read the bad reviews first and see if there is a common theme. Though our pool is moderately nice and the turf is fine after it was fixed, our overall experience with the company was atrocious. When Arnold first contacted me he was relatively polite, he sent he partner Paul to out house (who I haven't heard from at all since we started the process in December 2020) Paul was great to work with, gave us great tips, was kind and was very surprised at how simple we wanted our renovation to be. Paul had come out to our house in February 2021, he suggested we get Salt because of our water system then we had a contract written, and signed at the deposit paid mid January. We heard absolutely nothing from this company Until March 2021. We finally got the process started March 25th and then waited another 2 weeks with ZERO contact from anyone at the company. Whenever we would call or text the response was always "Im blessed with work, we will get to you" and then something about schedules. Which honestly that's all fine, my husband and I very much understand needing to schedule events and contacting contractors, HOWEVER when a client gives you 5k and you fail to communicate ATLEAST once a week even to update with the same information that leaves your client completely in the dark and anxious about what is happening to money they have invested. This theme was consistent throughout the 5 month process. Very minimal contact and obvious frustration when we would check in around every week to 2 weeks. There were two very big moments in this whole process that will stick out the most to me the first was, he showed up to our house at 630 am on a SATURDAY MORNING with no warning. though he will say that he texted when he got to our house. Didn't bother to wait for a response and came into our backyard anyway where we have dogs. If he KNEW he was going to come to our house that early he very much could have let us know the day before to prepare for his arrival. He was very lucky our dog didn't go after him. His excuse was, that the contract stats we have to keep the dogs in and the gate unlocked or they are obligated to reschedule and though that is true, it does not say he is allowed to come onto property unannounced or without communication first. Again this is a continued theme throughout the process, we never knew when they would show up, and I will not keep my dogs inside all day with hopes of someone showing up. COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING AND THIS GUY COULD CARE LESS. Even when it came to supply shortages, we wouldn't hear anything and would find out about the shortages though someone else. Again, we understand if there are shortages or scheduling issues, however it would be nice to be kept in the loop even if it's a short email text or call from someone in the office. The other event that I found absolutely unprofessional, was he and my husband we talking on our back porch and he turned to my husband and said, "you know I thought you guys were a pain in the ass, but not anymore" I think that this was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. Even if you feel that way you don't tell that to your client. Arnold had an excuse for anything that went wrong, or blamed us for the "miscommunication" It wasn't until one of his secretaries took over that we got decent communication and service. They were very kind and kept us up to date when we would check in. To top our experience off, even after having communicated about the salt water systems multiple times, it was never put in, and we found out the hard way that it wasn't even put in the contract. I believe at least half of these issues could have been avoided if Arnold or even Paul sat with the client went over the contract and the itemized bill to make sure everyone is on the same page and nothing was missing. He leaves all of that work up to the client from day one and expects that we know how to read their definition of an itemized bill. I will say one positive thing, in that when He really did make a large mistake, like the poor installation of the turf and realizing there was no salt cell, he did apologize. The Turf issue was remedied and decided to forego the salt cell. Overall, our experience was not a great one, and I fully expect Arnold to respond to this review with lots of demeaning vocabulary and blaming us for most of the issues or saying that we were rude or unkind, which is very much not true at all, we were very patient accepted things as the came gave grace where it was needed and didn't use any foul or harsh language. He will also say that he has a 97% rating but I think the 3% should be considered. read more

Arnold and his staff are absolutely top notch. These guys did a job that I was told by 3 other companies couldn't be done. I needed a pool light line rerun because it broke somewhere in the 50ft run. It took them 2 days and they were able to do it when other companies told me I would have to chop up the cool decking and concrete to fix the line then patch and resurface. Thats a lot of work and frustration for a pool light. E &E did it but it wasn't easy, more importantly they stuck by their word and did the job for no additional cost. My Husband had scheduled an appt that was suppose to be between 12-2 pm today! We get a call at 1:20 pm after my Husband texted the receptionist to see how far out they were, the call stated that Arnold, the owner, was at a Cardinals football game and couldn't make it! So my Husband then told the company we were going to put a bad review on yelp and home advisor for their unprofessionalism, since my Husband had to take the time off work to wait around for this company! We then proceeded to get a voice mail from Arnold stating that he was honest with us why he couldn't make it and that we should not put a review on him and that he owned the company and had more positives than negatives! I called Yesterday to get an appointment to look at a pool repair and get my pool serviced, I was told by the scheduler someone would be out here in following morning to give me an estimate on repairs. I requested to be called before hand and let them know that I would be home to greet them and get a better understanding of my pool. I spoke with Arnold who gave me his sales pitch and I agreed to try them. I spoke with him around 8ish. He took my information and said someone would be contacting me the same morning to setup an appointment. I waited till noon and still got no response. I then called back Arnold and he proceeded to call the scheduler at the office to get me on the schedule. The scheduler then took all my info again and told me someone would be by in the morning to quote out the repairs. I requested the contact me to meet them when they are coming out. She agreed. The next day when someone is suppose to be, I never got a call or no one came by. I then proceeded to call Arnold around noon, in which I left him a voicemail cancelling the appointment due to their bad business practices of no one showing up. I then get a call back from another person saying they were having issues with my dogs. I've been at home all morning waiting for them and no one showed up. No call or anything for that matter until I contacted them. Mike Burns showed up to service the pool and did a terrific job. Very knowledgeable. I then get a bill for the service for $50. I'm fine paying for the great work that Mike Burns did. I also got another invoice for the estimate of repairs for $85. I'm not paying $85 for a someone to do nothing. It is now a little after 3pm and another Mike came to my door to show face. No apologize or anything for that matter, he was very rude and try to say that he contacted me at a time that he didn't. I'm not sure what kind of business you got going on there but this is not the way to do business. I spoke with the owner Arnold regarding Mike's negative behavior, he then began to interrupt and tell me it was ok for the repair tech to act like this due to the hard labor and heat conditions that they work in. At least Arnold agreed to take off the $85 estimate for not showing up. He did apologize for for no one not showing up and I quote, "I'll apologize just this once". Called them out for a leak detection on my pool. Tech came out and spent 2 minutes there pointing out an obvious crack that I already knew about but did nothing to inspect the scupper or any plumbing. Then just said I needed to do a full pool remodel and everything would be inspected and fixed at that time. Well I dont have that kind of budget right now and wanted to atleast see options to fix the leak for now. They still wanted to charge me full price for a leak detection which I refused, due to no work actually being done so then agreed to a basic service fee for gas, which I still dont think was right since he literally did nothing but try to upsale me for a 15k pool remodel. Well fast forward a couple months when the owner called me to say I still had a bill for the leak detection and I told him no leak detection service was performed and I wasn't paying. He then yelled and cussed at me and hung up the phone. Then he calls back 30 minutes later, doesn't even apologize, and says if I don't leave a bad review, he'll void the invoice. Well too bad buddy, you have anger issues and your business tries to scam people and people need to be warned not to use you. read more

Out of all the pool companies I met with, this was by far the worst. I scheduled an appointment for an initial consultation, and the sales manager never showed up. Not even a call. Finally the guy got back to me, rescheduled again, and then AGAIN never showed up. I reached out to Arnold, who was very apologetic, and he offered to personally come out and make it up to me.. he even promised a 5% discount. Arnold showed up on time, but wow was his work sloppy. He didn't have any information on any product, just asked what I wanted. Luckily, after dealing with so many other companies I had known what I was looking for. Arnold promised to get his "line-by-line" bid to me as soon as possible. I didn't receive the bid until almost a week later. It was a paragraph of BS. There was no detailed line-by-line breakdown of prices and/or options. There was no sketchup of the pool or backyard design. He did, however, list the bid at over $38,000... the HIGHEST bid by far. I simply asked where the images were, and he said "those take time." Fine. I'll wait. It has been at least a month, and I still have yet to receive any images of his designs. Arnold finally texted me the other day asking if I had made my decision and when they could start. How could I start on a project with no pictures or drawings? How could I start without a SINGLE follow up call. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because Arnold is really personable and very sweet. He just lacks business ethics and smarts. I HIGHLY suggest looking elsewhere. Should have went with my gut. E and E did some work on my neighbors pool. The workmanship was good, but there were some issues at the end and Arnold can't seem to find the time to rectify those now that he's paid and on to another victim. My neighbor told me this, but not until I had already sent in a deposit and the check was cashed. My project was small, just a re-tile of my pool slide. I spoke to Arnold and told him I was concerned about the strong start and weak finish, but he assured me it would be fine so I went ahead. I asked for tile to match what we have existing, seems like a normal request. Arnold said no problem I'll get the tile you need. On the day they were to drain the pool no one showed up. Arnold's response when I talked to him the next day, " I'm dealing with things you wouldn't even understand." Really? So, his guy shows up on Saturday late because he had to go buy a pump to drain the pool. Okay no biggie. He didn't have the right hose to go over the fence, so I had to remove a board from my gate so we could put the hose through it so my dogs wouldn't get out. Not a big deal. Oh, and he didn't have an extension chord. Okay, here, we can use mine. Finally, the pool is draining. They are supposed to demo existing tile Monday and install new and start the refill on Tuesday. On Monday morning Arnold call and says, " They don't have your tile in stock." And he texts me a bad pic of a tile that looks nothing like mine. I tell him it's not acceptable, we want tile that looks like what we have. "Well they don't have it so what do you want to do?" I don't know Arnold, how about some options or a sample to look at sooner than the day you're supposed to start? So, HE gets irritated and says "Maybe we should just part ways?" PERFECT! That sounds good. Return my deposit and I'll start over, because that is still a better option than dealing with you! He sent his guy over to get the pump and hose and I refused him access and told him I'd give the items back when I got my deposit. Arnold then sent some snotty texts about me holding his equipment hostage ...blah...blah...blah. I told him when I get my deposit you get your pump. Based on his performance so far, I didn't have a lot of trust in him. I drove to his office to get my refund and gave him his equipment because there is no way I would trust that he could be bothered to bring it to me or even mail it in a timely manner. Arnold is all "Yes Sir", "We'll do a great job sir" good on the phone, quick with a quote, contract and to get that deposit. And, then it all goes down the drain. Terrible scheduling, horrible communication, a total lack of respect for anyone else's time but his own, an unprofessional sarcastic attitude if you dare call him out on anything, and endless excuses and reasons why it's not his fault. I've been in the building and construction industry for 20 years, ran a business, owned a business and worked in restaurants and customer service for many years before that. Arnold is a JOKE! Don't waste your time...because he will waste yours. Spend a little more and go somewhere else. Worst run business I've ever come across and Arnold has the worst customer service and attitude imaginable. The only positive is that he gave back my money and I don't have to deal with him again EVER!! read more
