Oh how the mighty have fallen. We were blessed enough to have Colin as our pool technician when we first started. Since then, we've had easily 3 new technicians. We didn't notice the decline at first. Things were maintained to an acceptable level and the team (Amelia in particular) was super responsive. Then, things took a sharp turn for the worst. Our pool started showing signs of pool algae. I had to bring this to the attention of the owner and he confirmed they would shock the pool. Little details down to simply not skimming, leaving the waterfall on, in and out within 5-10 minutes and I had enough. Attached are images of how they left our pool. The owner was quick to point blame on us, while admitting that yes, indeed, they had changed technicians. Avoid this company and seek services elsewhere. We have different standards of service. Colin and Amelia are gems and I wish this business continued success. It's too bad we had to part ways on such disappointing terms after such a wonderful beginning. read more

Horrible company. They serviced the pool for the prior owners, and were to have drained and acid washed the pool and repair two floor in valves. They did not acid wash or repair the valves. To this day the two valves still do not work and because it was too late now to drain the pool I will have to wait until late fall and pay my pool person to repair what should have been done prior to closing. Don't waste your money with this company! read more

This was a home warranty service call, and everyone I had the pleasure of speaking with or working with in person was very helpful and knowledgeable. The technician called me beforehand to let me know he was on the way, providing an estimated time of arrival, and he was punctual as promised. He was able to identify the problem, obtained approval for the warranty part, and then scheduled the installation date and time for two days later. I was contacted the next day, and we confirmed the installation schedule. The technician arrived on time, installed the new part, and tested it in about half an hour. We were back to normal and swimming in the pool shortly after. Since this was a warranty service call, there was no charge to me whatsoever. Well, it's been a couple of years since hiring Clear Pool Solutions. Initially I had a problem with algae, but Clear Pool knocked it out and kept it out. I have had many pool technicians most of them great, some not so great, but those are gone quickly. Jayden is my tech now. He is as good as they come! With every visit my pool is crystal clear. It really is great to find someone who takes such pride in their work. I've had him for months and hope he remains as my pool guy for much longer. People like this are the face of this company and the reason that I have and will continue to recommend these folks. In addition, Clear Pool Solutions has provided many other services for me. They keep my chemicals perfectly in check, clean my cartridges filters twice a year and change my pool water every few years. In addition, I see they now offer tile cleaning services. As a first time home buyer/first time pool owner, this is best company I've worked with in AZ thus far. Constant clear communication and honesty (they thought something might be broken and quoted me to fix it but it ended up not being broken so I wasn't charged). Not a huge fan of leaving reviews as a bartender of 15+ years- this can really make or break businesses, even on an off day- I am happy to praise a great business though! After trying several different pool companies, I've used Clear Pool Solutions for repairs & service for a number of years and I will continue to use them. They always arrive as scheduled, explain what is needed to make any repairs, and the service technicians are top notch! Pricing is always reasonable they stand behind their work. Don't be surprised that they go above and beyond "the job" to provide service. I recently (July 4th) accidentally locked my neighbor out of her house. When the service tech (Jayden) arrived we asked if he could scale her block wall and try to open a door. He didn't hesitate, he climbed over the wall and tried every window and door in order to try and open her house. Absolutely Amazing! I had submitted a claim to my home warranty for a leak. Clear pool solutions came out, on time as promised. The gentleman who arrived was friendly and personable! I have an archaic pool salt water system, guess what- they knew it! They managed to fix one issue that I was aware of and another issue that I wasn't aware of! They were in contact with me regarding my home warranty and went above and beyond! Most expensive I've ever paid for a 7 minute service. I initially received a call on Friday to schedule my appointment and the one taking the appointment kept saying "tomorrow," so I thought they worked Saturdays. The appointment for 7am-10am "tomorrow" and at 11am nobody had shown. That's fine, people lose track of the day, I can forgive that. Tech shows up Monday and goes to look at the pump. Sees it's not priming so he removes the lid and lubricates the O-ring. I mentioned I've already done so, but the tech said the ring was really flat. That's fine, but I've tested the lid's integrity using shaving cream to test for air leaks. He then walks over to the skimmer and sees my pool. Says he can't diagnose the problem if the pool isn't filled to the skimmer line. I said I've filled it to the skimmer line prior and my pump still didn't prime. He responds saying that he can't diagnose any further until the pool is filled and then shows me how to fill my pool from the valve before taking off. 4hrs later my pool is filled and the pump still can't prime. $95 to be told they can't diagnose my issue because my pool wasn't filled and that my pool was green. It's green because I can't run my pump. So to save yourself some money, make sure your pool is in a "normal state" before scheduling your appointment. Since another visit will be at least another $95, I'd rather give another company a shot this time. read more

I called this company to get a quote on a Pentair variable speed pump for my pool. Even though their quote was higher than 4 other pool companies that I had called, I thought I would use them because of their good reviews . First of all, they wanted $125 to even come out. Then they need your credit card on file before they even come out, Even if they don't do the work, they still have your credit card on file. My thoughts were, if I trust them enough to install a $2,795 pump, they should trust me enough that they will get paid. I found another pool company to do the work. read more

I get regular notices when maintenance is needed, and a weekly email confirming that the pool was cleaned and detailing how much and what types of chemicals were added. They include photos of the pool and the chemical readings for that day. A quick lap around the yard and gone. The quality of my water diminishing with this lack of service. On top of this a 35% increase in our monthly fees with zero explanation. Last week they changed my filters, and the technician takes them to the side of house and cleans them against my newly painted fence. What a mess. Calls and texts to clean up this disaster go unanswered. Last week I had an appointment for service, and it is cancelled the same day with no options to re-schedule. I was in need of a professional company to come and clean my pool as the previous contractor had been let go as he wasn't providing the service I was paying for. I booked thru my home warranty and Clear Pool Solutions was dispatched to come out. The first visit, the technician was very helpful with his explanations and the issues he saw. He did a great job cleaning it up. I had reached out to the office to see if they were taking new clients on and Amelia was simply wonderful. She explained that she would check and get back with me - which she did and then she also provided the great news that they would be able to come weekly. She took the customer service bar to another level - which you don't see a lot:-) I had my first weekly visit yesterday and the technician was great. Wow! Technician Chris was fantastic! He took time to explain what he was doing and answered all of my questions. He was genuine in wanting to provide guidance as well as the service my pool equipment needed. Additionally when I called in to get an appointment I was stressed because there was water spewing from my equipment. The person answering the phone was calm, friendly and reassuring. She found an appointment for me within 2 days, which is almost unheard of if you've tried to schedule anywhere! As it was she called back to say she had an opening. We have been very happy with them and not only use them for our warranty problems, but also for things that go wrong with our pool and aren't covered by our warranty. Avoid Clear Pools at all cost. They will waste your time by sending inexperienced technicians to diagnose problems with your pool. Was originally told my pool heater had a faulty motherboard and temperature sensor which needed to be replaced. Waited the following week for parts and then another technician named Chris (bad attitude) comes out and bad mouths the first technician stating he is inexperienced and doesn't know what he is doing (uhm, then why did you hire him?) and that the main problem is there wasn't enough water flow to the pool heater. Issue should have been resolved on the first visit as I had guests staying at the home using the pool who were very unhappy having to wait so long Would you trust a company that can't reliably determine the root cause of a problem being Pool Heater circuitry vs a Pool filter? UPDATE: Didn't expect a very long winded 'excuse' from this business who then tries to shift the blame back to the customer, which says a lot about this business. The response confirms the key facts below which was highlighted in my review. NOTE: I live in a different state from the home and pay good money to a pool maintenance company that documents and sends photos of the work and chemicals added to the pool every week after service. I wish I lived nearby the home so I could double-check all of their work but my maintenance company failed me just like how Clear Pools failed me on their visit and diagnosis which really angered my guests and impacts my business. Fact #1: My pool heater was showing erratic behavior so I called Clear Pools to diagnose the cause and fix the issue so my paid guests can continue enjoying my heated pool right away. Fact #2: Clear Pools sent out a technician #1 that misdiagnosed the issue to being something much more severe involving pool heater circuitry forcing me to wait several days for parts to arrive before the issue could be resolved upsetting my paid guests. Which is a big fail since it impacts my business. Fact #3: Clear Pools sends out a different technician named 'Chris' 3 days later who bad mouths the first technician calling him inexperienced and not knowing what they are doing, which makes me question why they hired the individual or why that person was sent to my home alone to investigate an issue he has no experience fixing. Chris also has the nerve to accuses me of being a negligent pool owner not paying attention to my filter. Fact #4: I asked Chris if I could pay him to go ahead and wash the filter since he is already there and he said no, I would have to schedule that service for another day, which is when I told him my pool service comes out every Thursday (which was the following day), so I'll make sure they are aware of the filter issue and to have them cleaned. Be wary of any work from this company and make sure to get a second opinion to make sure you are working with a company that can do it right the first time. read more

They stay on top of my equipment and immediately contact me if there are maintenance issues that need to be addressed. I've been a Clear Pools Solutions customer for 4 years. These people are professional, courteous and dead reliable. They send an email report after every visit (weekly) stating chemicals added and condition of the pool. I just recently started using them for repairs. I had a pump motor whose bearings were staring to go out. The repair tech came out collected the motor had it rebuilt and reinstalled in 2 days. The time estimate was 2 to 5 days (depending on the backlog of the rebuilder). Again, exemplary service. These people are the guys for the job! read more

I reached out to three companies to start our pool service and some repairs needed to our electrical. Clear pools were first to get back! Great! They said they would call and schedule someone to come out to look at repairs and they could start service once they had a look. Chris came out and met my wife ( stayed home from work) She said he was optimistic and felt good. A week goes by no word....I sent a message and then I did get a price for the repairs but they could not service the pool at this time. Should have just said so in the beginning since that was my prime request. I have to say I was disappointed to hear after two weeks of waiting and watching algae grow but that's my Yelp since that's where I found them. read more
