I was in the market for upgrading 2 home security systems. I asked for a quote from my current provider, but received much better equipment and monthly fees than current from A3 Smart Home. So I made a change to A3 Smart Home (AAA)!! I was able to determin the devices I wanted for each home including the upgrade to include several cameras. Customer Service was top notch and scheduling instalation was seamless. On day of install, Manuel arrived promptly. First he reviewed order to insure all of the equipment was correct. I showed Manual where I had planned each device. Then we walked the property to determine camera placement. Manual let me know best locations for cameras but the final decision was mine based on info he provided me. He let me name the locations since that is what will be used on phone and panel. Manual set up his work table and organized my equipment. After entering all of the electronic information, Manual started the installation. The job moved forward quickly without a hitch. All of the devices and control panel were checked for proper operation. Special note: Video camera quality Is Exceptional!! Manual helped me set up 3A Smart Phone App on my phone. I set up my password and emergency codes. He thoroughly explained the use of phone and system panel. The system is very simple to use from both devices. Manual cleaned up everything. Before he left he asked if I had any other questions or concerns. But his training left me feeling set to use system without issue. Everything was set and ready for immediate use.....I didn't have to do anything without available help. I highly recommend 3A Smart Home FIR: **Sales Contact - no pressure what so ever **Customer Service Install Set-up - very easy and timely install date **Quality of installer - competent, considerate, organized & clean **Equipment - ease of installation and high quality devuce, panel and camera system. read more

When I purchased my new home this year I immediately started to research home security and was really looking for a self install due to COVID. AAA Smart Home kept coming up here in the Bay Area and I decided to give them a call to see what my options were. The sales team was very helpful with exploring all my options, I ended up with a fairly basic setup since I already had some other cameras and just wanted door sensors and system monitoring. They had me walk around my house to name every single door and window as they told me the self install kit would come pre programed and labeled. A few days later a very organized self install kit arrived at my doorstep and I began the install. The guide was very helpful and install help is just a phone call away (I did have to call about a voltage question regarding the panel, NOTE: It MUST be plugged in to the wall using the provided transformer). Once I completed the install including the flood sensors, glass break sensors and a smoke detector I called back to activate and test the alarm and both went very smooth. The panel is very user friendly and uses the android operating system. What I am most impressed with is the App, Smart Home has developed a stellar app that uses Face ID for security and allows me to Arm/Disarm the system right from my iPhone. It also shows a "highlight" reel with all the actions for the system throughout the day. I feel very secure with AAA smart home watching over my family 24/7, I highly recommend giving them a look when considering a home security system. read more

The installation tech, Tarek Ghalayini, was on time, courteous, respectful of Covid precautions/protocols, knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. He clearly explained the reasons why he felt the different sensors should be located in the spots he identified prior to installation, which I really appreciated. After installation, he patiently walked me through using the touch screen and phone app -- downloading, installing and walking me through the app. Plus, he even walked to the foot of my property to confirm the Key Fob would disarm the system (for my pet sitter, because I thought my dog would get too jumpy when he saw the pet sitter approach the front door and set off the motion detector) -- so thorough! I would rate this experience as perfect! Also, I wanted to add that Abdi, the salesperson, was knowledgeable, polite, upbeat, helpful and friendly. Working with Abdi was a pleasure. All in all, I would definitely recommend this business. Updated 3/25/2022.... A tech named Jason came out and assisted with a faulty smoke unit. He was very thorough and tested all the units to make sure they were all working properly, because I mentioned I got the monitored smoke alarm to protect my super sweet Jindo when I'm traveling, since the pet caregiver stops by intermittently during the day, and my Jindo is alone most of the time. Jason was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient--a very nice experience! read more

I used to have an old fashion alarm system that required a land line to transmit. We never used the landline and just had it for the internet ( DSL) . Once they cancelled DSL service and had nothing else to offer we cancelled the phone. No more security !! We called AAA as they had taken over the old security company and we had the most wonderful sales lady who set us up with a 21st century security system and much cheaper than the old one. The installer was prompt , courteous and abided with all the Covid -19 guidelines. His work was done in a very professional manner. He explained things clearly and patiently and had no issue if he was asked to re-explain. He left our home clean , removing the old parts after asking if we wanted them. He also is a very honest individual making sure that I was credited for the parts we did not need. The installation was a first for us . This gentleman made the entire experience a pleasure. I hope when I add some other items to my security system , AAA will send Robert Saetern back. I asked for his name because he is a rare bread in today world. A pleasure to have in my home. We recently had a very comprehensive AAA SmartHome & Security system installed in our home, to replace an outdated system. Our insurance agent, Sheila G., helped me assess our needs, & upon our approval, forwarded my detailed information to the scheduling department. Within days the scheduling department reached out to me, & made arrangements for our very detailed & comprehensive install to take place. The Scheduling Department, informed me that they would be sending us, their top Sacramento installer. Tarek G., was sent to our home to take care of this job. Tarek, called before arrival, was on time, & he followed all Covid protocols. He did a complete assessment on which devices would provide the best coverage & security protection for our home. During his walk around, & analysis of our home, there were some devices that I thought that I needed; however after his assessment, he suggested several changes & recommendations. Due to his knowledge & expertise, he saved me money! I highly recommend AAA SmartHome; if you are looking for a modern SmartHome & Security system; &, ask for Tarek. John G. read more

I am a long-term customer of Safeguard Security, a truly excellent and popular security company in Scottsdale, AZ. Safeguard was recently acquired by AAA Smart Home. I hope that AAA will perform equally well, but am waiting to see how they do. Previously I reported to them a problem with their automated phone answering script. It says to dial one for an alarm situation, dial other numbers for buying stuff from them, etc. If none of those numbers covers your situation, you are put on hold and the initial script gets repeated. Not acceptable. An alarm company needs an accurate script and should not put people on hold. I needed to report to them that we were going out of town and request vacation service. Their script doesn't cover that. They haven't fixed it yet. An alarm company must be excellent in all respects or you lose confidence in it. None of this reflects on the employees; they have been pleasant and competent. This is a management problem. If I see it fixed next time I need to call them, I will update this review to 5 stars. If not, I may look into another company. read more

I just had home security system installed by AAA. I want to say that I was very impressed with the technician doing the installation, Kenzo, and with the sales person I had been working with, Andrea. Andrea was helpful, informative and available, without being overbearing or pushy. We came up with a plan, but it's hard to be confident with a home system over the phone. That is where Kenzo made things easy. Upon arrival he walked my home and property, advising and editing that initial plan. We took away items and added others to custom fit my home, considering what I actually needed and/or wanted. So important to have that flexibility. A sales person knows their products, but an on-site technician can see what is needed or not, and what will actually work for that specific home. It's important to have what you need, not more than you need, or less. Kenzo was efficient, effective and neat. He also patiently made sure I knew how everything worked. Thank you to these two employees. It is good to see a company working together for what is best for their customers. Nancy Taylor read more

I had a great experience with AAA Smart Home from start to finish. We have had the same security system in place for the last 20 years and I had been thinking about upgrading for quite some time. As a AAA member for over 30 years, I was very interested when I started to see advertisements that they now offer home security. I checked out the website and gave them a call. My sales rep was very knowledgeable about all of the advances in home security equipment and really emphasized how the new Smart Home technology was military-grade and very secure. The team of techs who came to my home to install were great - very efficient and respectful of my home, and excellent at training me how to use my new home security system. Finally, the Smart Home app is so easy to use. The ability to arm and disarm my system from my phone, as well as check on my outdoor cameras anytime I want is a huge upgrade from my old system. I have already recommended Smart Home to neighbors, friends and family because I trust AAA to keep my family safe and so should they. read more

I recently change my monitoring service from ADT to AAA Smart Home. With ADT I was paying $67.00 just for monitoring service alone. With AAA Smart Home I am paying the same amount but now I have 4 outside cameras including a door bell camera. In 3 yrs the bill will be cut off in half because my cameras will be paid off. Scott Daughherty was the AAA insurance agent that sold me the contract by comparing services with ADT. Comparing "oranges to a apples". "Oranges", (AAA Smart Home) to "Rotten Apples" (ADT). The technicians that came to install the equipment were Blong and Ying. They are highly technically professionally trained. They positioned the outside cameras at the right angles and they proceeded to instruct me on how to use the equipment. They were courteous, patient and kind and repeated things when I asked questions. I am an 80-year-old man, so I declared Scot, Blong and Ying "Officially Elderly Certified". They know how to deal with the elderly. Now I can go to Cancun Mexico and monitor my home as if I was here. read more

This is a complete scam. Do not switch your account from ADT security. I had service wit ADT for 7 years and never had any issues. I sales person from AAA talked me into switching from ADT Security to their service saying the my monthly fees will drop and the service is much better. #1. My monthly fees increased for 49.95 at ADT to $66.40 which is 16.45 more per month. #2. The sales person had no knowledge at all about the system and guaranteed that ADT system is exactly the same and equipment will work with AAA system. It did not. The systems are not compatible. #3. After review with YELP AAA Smart home called me and promised partial credit on my account for the installation issues and assured me that I will see it in a few month on the account. It never happened. I updated my review because I thought the issue was resolved which was not. They lied to me again. I suddenly received $301.00 bill from them without any explanations. When I called in I was told that since install file was just completed they are sending 4 month invoice. read more

We were having problems with our security system and I talked with our contact to try to get it resolved. He told me that our account was sold to A3 Smart Home and would be changing in the coming weeks. I had seen ads for A3 Smart Home and since we are long time AAA members, wanted to check it out. He contacted them and then we were contacted by A3 Smart Home representative Andrea Broggi. He was very helpful, knowledgeable about the system and we made the decision to move ahead. We then scheduled an installation and technician Robert Saetern came to our home yesterday. Robert was great - followed all Covid guidelines, helped us make decisions on the location of the new equipment, expertly installed it and gave us an excellent tutorial on how to work it. His Supervisor Rae stopped by to QC the work and we shared with her our more than satisfying experience. We would certainly recommend A3 Smart Home and look forward to the peace of mind that this new system will give us. Thank you Andrea & Robert! read more

We've had an alarm system on our SF Bay Area home since 1994. When AAA took over the monitoring contract, I worked with them to figure out how to upgrade my system so I could take advantage of their latest technology as well as the AAA member discount. I worked with several people at AAA to make this happen. From Leta in the sales office (who discussed and quoted options for me) to Wilfred (who came out to evaluate my original hardware) to Christina (who scheduled the installations) to Gentry (who installed the updated hardware)...all were professional, friendly, and helpful. All those who came to our home were well prepared for and respectful of proper COVID-19 protocol (masks, shoe covers, physical distancing). Once the installation was complete, Gentry gave us a quick hands-on tour of the system (which is very simple to use) and answered all of our questions. Overall a good experience. I recommend AAA Smart Home for anyone looking to install a home alarm system. read more

My installation was in the Central Valley (California). I had my installation this month. So far so good. I am reading, here on Yelp, others are having bad experiences after installation. I hope that is not us. As far as my installation, I am giving it a rating of a 4/5. The reason for that is because after the installation one of the sensors malfunctioned and a technician had to come out and update the system. Hopefully that does the trick. However, this rating has NOTHING to do with the technicians. The technicians were 5/5! They were great. My technicians were Eduardo and Gustavo. Gustavo is the technician who came out again to fix the malfunctioning sensor. Both guys were great. They were very helpful and patient. They answered all my questions and showed me how to operate the system. They were friendly and very respectful. I recommend requesting these two men for your installation. If you need a Spanish speaking technician, Gustavo speaks Spanish. read more

Blong Vue was the person that came out to install and teach me how to use the system he went above and beyond to make sure I understood and took the time to do everything perfect and right they only allow us to get five stars but he deserved more like 10 plus great worker should get a raise. He was very patient carrying making sure I understood everything thoroughly went above and beyond and great customer service skill s spent more than the whole entire day here without complaining probably pastor is lunch and still kept positive attitude this system or this home security system is lucky to have him as their employee. I'm very happy with the camera system it's very clear and with the person that came to install it. read more

Stay away from A3!!! We chose not to proceed with A3 conversion to 5G. We spoke with several A3 reps and told them there has been no alarm signal to our home for the past year but we were still being charged for home security. I called to complain and was told they tried to send a signal every month but our alarm system didn't respond. A3 said I didn't cancel service and I responded how can they charge for a system that's not being monitored? How can A3 get away charging consumers for a service they're not providing? I was told it's still my fault and they'll be sending me to collections for monitoring a system they're not monitoring. STAY AWAY FROM A3 SMART HOME!!! read more

If the very professional installation of my new A3 Smart Home security system is any indication of future service with my new provider, I will be extremely pleased! Manuel arrived exactly on time, was nice and friendly, very professional and knowledgable, and very competent and thorough. I now couldn't be more confident in this new product and its servicing for the future. The scheduler estimated that my system installation would require nine hours. Manuel completed his work and his detailed, thorough explanation of how to use it in less than 1/2 of that time. Thank you A3 Smart Home, and thanks so much Manuel--you're a terrific ambassador for your company. Ken M. read more

REVISED REVIEW - Robin from AAA Security helped me out and made me remember why I have AAA for home & car insurance, security and have been a member for almost 20 years!!! Recently put in a new AAA security system. It was great ... until it was not! My router for the internet went down and they had to put in a new router. Because they put in a new router, I had to pay someone $125.00 to come out and reprogram the cameras. I have not even had this system 6-months. Total rip off. This is how they get more money out of you - with hidden costs! Very dissapointed and will be looking for a new system once my contract is up. read more

This review is for Rajan a hard and total professional employee for AAA Smart Home Security installation. Rajan installed my security system in a timely manner and explained step by step what he was doing and was very courteous in his explanation of the system. Rajan went above and beyond most installers. Believe me I have had many security systems installed and he is without question the best installer hands down. I am totally satisfied with his demeanor and professionalism. I had no problems with his installation of the system and prefer that Rajan service my system in the future if necessary. Great job Rajan! read more
