This is regarding AAA towing not the Hayward office. In February I was on the grapevine when my truck died. That was at 1pm. I called told them I needed a flat bed because it is a 4 door diesel. I had to have a friend drive 5 hours to come get me because the drivers cant have anyone in their vehicle even with a mask. No rental cars or ubers would come to my location. Guess what time AAA showed up? ONE AM!!!!! That driver said she would drive it to hayward and it would be there at 6am when they opened. My truck didnt arrive until 5 PM. I thought she stole it and was on the line with the police when the shop called to say it was there. Today...it broke again ( I know time for a new vehicle) I have just spent 30 plus minutes trying to get thru their automated system. It kept insisting they would locate me..then giving me the wrong address. Finally I spoke to someone thay spoke such broken english I could barely understand her. I am still waiting..their 45 minute whait time must be askew. If they show up without a flat bed tow truck I will go ape shit nuts. This is ridiculous! I have been a member since 1982 and have "premier " level card. It is so sad that people can no longer get the service they pay for!! If I could have left negative stars I would have, one star is way too good for this service. read more

Jenny helped my boyfriend and I get our International Driver Permits. She was so friendly and helpful while helping us fill out paperwork and take headshots. We were out of there within 20 minutes! They also offer a number of DMV services here so I would rather come here than trek out to the DMV. The employees are so much friendlier and they don't seem to have too much of a wait. read more

I guess I have to give 1 star because zero isn't an option. I assume I'm at the correct branch because there's no San Lorenzo branch. Once again, I got totally BURNED by AAA road service. The last time I requested roadside service, at night, the driver never showed. AAA basically said that they have no control over the driver. Today, I experienced the nightmare of AAA's bot service. 5 telephone calls & one dispatcher later (I had to spell the name of the street to the dispatcher because the driver's English was so LIMITED that he could not understand words being spelled one letter at a time to him), I FINALLY had my 14 minute wait time turned into 40 minutes and the driver appeared. Waiting 40 minutes was not the issue. The issue was watching "in live time" as my driver drove around in circles because either he didn't know how to use the AAA online information or the AAA online bot screwed up the address. How much fun standing out in the HOT SUN, staring at my phone wondering why the driver seemed to be in another city for the first 30 minutes & knowing that he could not understand me over the phone & the text message AAA set me was not accessible to the driver when he didn't understand me spelling out the address, painstakingly, letter by letter, so I couldn't text him the address. All the people at the 800 number could do was forward my information to him. If anyone needs assistance in the future, I recommend you: #1 Tell AAA your child or medication is in the car, #2 Tell the bot that you are NOT on a mobile device #3 Only speak directly to a live agent at the 800 who answers the phone. & #4 Insist that the 800 live agent remains on the phone until the drive IS PHYSICALLY STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU. Member off and on for insurance since 1975 and road service from 1975 to current and was very surprised to find out after standing inline for over 20min the don't take cashier check since June 2019 I asked why wasn't I noticed several workers stated that DMV notified us . I went directly to DMV HAYWARD. "No line" paid my reg.renewal and was told that they didn't notify us on this matter. Poor see you don't have to LIE! To kick it! I'm a loyal AAA insurance member and I was involved with an hit and run accident with another AAA insurance member on May 24th. I was in my car during the time of the accident and I was able to write down the license plate of the other car whom hit mine but yet my AAA claims adjuster Connar Vela denies my claim because I didn't have any video evidence of the hit and run incident but yet the other car whom hit me had damages to their car. Unbelievable and I will switch to State Farm because I felt I was taken advantage by AAA by their lame excuse. read more

I can't tell you how much mental anguish this place has saved me! I was able to take care of things I would have had to do at the DMV in minutes, that would have taken hours at the DMV. When I did come here to change ownership of my car and to register and put another car on non-op, there was no wait. I was immediately taken care of, and it was all straightforward. Of course, they cannot provide all services that DMV provides, but they take care of the regular yearly essentials that can be so burdensome if you have to be at DMV. AAA is the worst insurance company ever. They won't honor the warranty and intentionally make it super difficult for you to claim it. Again, worst insurance company ever! My car's battery was dead and they put me on hold forever when I needed them the most. It's upsetting because they only have good service when you are a potential customer. The agent over the phone is terrible too. I have been asking the same question without getting the helpful information I need. I will never be their customer again. I went in for DMV services...first of all, the line was much shorter than the DMV, they have Saturday hours & the staff are all much more courteous than the nicest DMV person I've ever encountered. Weida was clueless, flustered, and would have cost me $600 if I wasn't paying attention. I came in two pay for two CEA quotes I received. Weida spent what seemed like 10 minutes trying to log in, which was my first warning, then said she was unfamiliar with the "new system" layout. She offered me increased coverage on policy #1 for only $75 more per year.. until I realized she mixed up the full year vs prorated, and it was actually nearly $300 more per year! I went with cheaper coverage, signed, she gave me a copy, then she tried to give me her copy until I reminded her to keep it - she was flustered. She started on policy #2 (nearly $300 less than policy #1) but quoted me *exactly* the same price as policy #1. Literally, to the dollar, without blinking, no idea. I pointed out she handed me back the wrong quote, and had re-entered policy #1. After nearly 40 minutes of Weida destroying my confidence in anything that was happening, I was finally done. I've worked in customer service for 17 years, and do not take this review lightly, but competency and focus were totally missing, and put my money and best interests in jeopardy. read more

$81 per year with auto-renew for roadside assistance. Went in specially for DMV services. No line on a Tuesday late morning. Didn't get to accomplish what I wanted because of DMV bureaucracy crap. African American older male staff as rude and condescending as if you were at a regular DMV--kept the original DMV spirit. But no line and I suspect wayyy shorter lines that the regular DMVs so I guess it's still a better option. read more

I came to this Triple A to use their DMV Counter . There is never a long line at this Triple A . Their DMV counter people are fast and efficient. They had my Transaction done in minutes . Then I was able to insure my new Whip at the next Counter. Cant beat one stop service. Plus this Triple A location is pretty low key. read more

Walk in service and the DMV line are total saviors! Employees are always fresh and ready to help you figure out what you need and don't. Recently came in to take one car off and add another on insurance with no difficulties; I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! I've also noticed you get better deals when you go inside rather than just online or over the phone quotes. Also had to get a tow a while back when my car broke down on me and road side assistance couldn't have been any better! They arrived perfectly on time and I had the friendliest driver I've ever met who hitched me up quickly and had me on my way. I was involved in an accident with a AAA client on May 22nd.  This accident was not my fault and I reported it to my insurance agent the day of the accident.  My insurance, Allstate, then filed a claim with AAA.  About 3-4 days after the accident, I have not heard from anyone at AAA, so I called and was given Yonari Guzman (her number is 702-790-5365) as the adjuster on the claim.  I called her, no answer so I left a voicemail.  After 24 hours, still no call back so I called again and when she did not answer, I dialed 0 to get connected to someone else.  From here, I was finally able to get a hold of Yonari.  I provided her all the information that I had, including the details of the accident and the parties involved.  I provided Yonari with the phone numbers of the other 2 cars that were involved in the accident, which included the lady that initially caused the accident.  Yonari texted me with instructions to download the App that would allow me to take pictures of the damages on my car, including a short video.  I submitted this after 24 hours thinking she would get back to me.  She has not.   My wife and I have been calling Yonari everyday since June 7th, leaving messages as we call.  We do not receive a call back.  My wife called on 6/18, spoke to Cara, and explained to her the whole situation.  She assured us that Yonari would call back.  Cara said that Yonari needed the 3rd person's phone number to account for the accident and we provided that phone number (again) to her to pass on to Yonari.   This is information that is needed but yet, Yonari does not call us to get this information.  I had to find out from someone else that this information was missing when I had given it to Yonari a week ago.   My wife and I called again on 6/21, spoke to Deidrei and she said that Yonari has been out for a couple of days but she will pass on the message to call me back.  Deidrei also provided me with a Supervisor's phone number, which I called today 6/24 and left a voicemail since she also did not call me back (her name is Sophia at 702-270-7135).  My wife also called Yonari again today and left a voicemail, because again, she did not answer her phone.   Mind you, this accident happened on May 22, 2019.  It is now June 24, 2019.  No call back from Yonari except that one time, no letter, nothing!!  This accident has caused a lot of inconvenience for me and my family, including loss of time from work.  AAA has not been proactive or responsive to any contact that I have done.  Please help.   I have sent an email to: reviews@aaamidatlantic.com read more

The San Ramon location and the new location in San Jose has terrible customer service so I stopped into this location before I got on the San Mateo Bridge and they had wonderful customer service and were very knowledgable. My 5 star review is strictly for the customer service from these two employees. Sabritta in customer service is so super friendly and knowledgable Bryan in the DMV part of AAA was super friendly, funny and very helpful . I've been with AAA for sometime , and this office is out of my way however they are quick and very customer service oriented unlike the location close to me. It's not the nicest office , kind of run down however I rather go here for great customer service than the other two locations I've been too . I write this review as I stand in line at the the actual DMV- so yes. I am very upset and very irritated This is my second visit to this AAA location. My first experience was wonderful. The gentlemen that helped me was extremely knowledgable and extremely helpful with very question I had. I never knew that AAA offered simple DMV Services. So I was very happy to get my title transfer done quickly and promptly without having to wait for hours at the DMV. (This was literally a week ago) Today- April 11, 2016 - I went in for the same thing, we bought a truck and needed to have it registered. Previously we had registered our other vehicle under our business and therefore today, we were planning to do the same. The two people who helped me were extremely rude and unprofessional. Their hospitality were non-existence. I wish I took down names, but I didn't. Anyways. They told me they don't do business registration. Which is odd, because I just registered our other truck at the same location a week ago. I don't want to go into details, but overall, I left disappointed and disrespected. They told me their policy has changed and they can't do register business customers ... Which makes no freaking sense. We have our business insurance with them as well. Anyways. Honestly if policy change, I can understand. But their professional and the rudeness in their voice left me with a sour feeling. All I got was "we can't help you, bye." I know not everyone is like this, but one bad seed can ruin the whole bowl. read more

Two thumbs up to this AAA location! Thanks to Bryan who helped me this morning with my DMV registration renewal, transfer of title, change of name on forms, etc.! You name it; this AAA has the power to work like DMV. My only suggestions is if you're in a hurry, get there before they open, or else you might have to stay in line for a little bit. I arrived 15 minutes before they opened today (Saturday). They opened the doors on time and I was done in less than 20 minutes ~again, thanks to Bryan! Service was great, kind and friendly, I was treated with respect unlike going to DMV. Bryan was very helpful and was able to answer my questions. No appointment necessary. We currently have our policies with Farmers and decided for a second opinion and boy we're glad we did. We were greeted by a friendly attendent who informed us there was one agent who specialized in life insurance. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we were introduce to Eric. He asked important questions, answered our questions and provided some suggestions. He took the time to throughly explain the pros and cons to both policies. So I tried calling to make an appointment with one of the travel agents. No one answered. I called multiple times & still nothing. I ended up showing up & Kathy was on the phone with a customer & Debbie was gone, I'm guessing on lunch. (There are only 2 travel agents here) Kathy asks me if I want a brochure while I wait. Debbie comes back and walks right past me & in to see Kathy. She whispers something to her & comes back to make it very clear she was not about to help me & if I want to make an appointment or wait until Kathy is done and comes back from lunch. I tell her I have tried calling & she rudely says "I don't have any messages". I go in to see Kathy when she gets off the phone (it's past her lunch time) and she generously writes down my information & lets me make an appointment as well as tells me she will be in touch with more information. Kathy was wonderful & very helpful, so if you're coming to see a travel agent I 100% recommend seeing her. I would rather wait a month to see Kathy than go see Debbie. read more

I was on the phone line for 2 hours trying to figure out what is the best way to re-arrange my family but it was super confusing. Came to this office at 5:56pm due to the reason that the office hr stated on this yelp closing hr at 9pm. In actuality they close at 6pm. I asked the staff if I can get my IDP done, he said they are close and I have to return tomorrow. I then asked how long is the process and was told it takes 5 mins to get done. From Castro Valley, My Lexus 400RH was spewing oil, I had to tow to a garage. I choose Pleasanton Auto Service on 3880 Old Santa Rita Road. I called AAA for towing and got Palace Garage towing on the AAA contract. I asked AAA and the Palace driver to tow to Pleasanton Auto Service at the above address. Driver said "I know where that is" and got in truck and departed before I could get in my car to follow. I never saw him again. I sped out to Pleasanton Auto Service and after 30 minutes the tow truck never showed up. I called AAA and they said he was on Rosewood Drive 1/2 mile away. Another 30 minutes and no show. I'm like WTF. I got in my car and found the Lexus, unlocked, key in ignition, in the Lexus Dealer Service Isle. The tow truck was long gone. I'm lucky I found my car. I'm lucky no one took it. Therese and her service were absolutely horrid. My experience with this location was disastrous. I needed car insurance, simple enough right? I was seated with Therese who boasted how long she had worked there. Funnily enough, she wasn't all that professional, nor did she know how to treat potential customers, and existing customers (I wish I had trusted my gut and not signed with them). After a few weeks of having my vehicle insured, I was sent a letter stating that I was being dropped because I didn't submit a signed document stating that I would only drive my car. Funny, I didn't even know I had to sign such a paper. When I called Therese, she was rude. She acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. I had to go down to the offices on my lunch hour and have her shove a paper under my face which was said paper. Well I didn't mess anything up, so why did I not have insurance? Therese "proved" that she had me sign it, but NEVER SENT IT WHEN SHE FAXED MY PAPERWORK. I had to pretend like I was sorry for getting upset despite the fact that I encountered SO MUCH negligence from this office. Another time something went wrong, I went in to talk to Therese, and all she could say was that she was going on vacation. Fine, what does that have to do with me? Let me tell you. Therese was hinting that she was no longer working because she would be going on vacation. She never handled my request. The next week, she was on vacation. I called the week after that, still on vacation. The week after, still on vacation. I had to skip my lunch and go down to the offices AGAIN only to be told that I had to wait for Therese to come back from her MONTH LONG VACATION. Not cool. The insurance company through AAA is NOT EVEN AAA's OWN insurance company. They basically give your money to REAL insurance companies which are merely subsidiaries, then get a commission. So, just because you are paying top dollars for insurance doesn't mean you are getting better insurance, at least not with AAA. Ahh yes, but you have free towing for 5 WHOLE MILES. Woohoo! If you're in a real pickle, pray that Therese is not on another month-long vacation or else NOTHING will get done. read more
