Parking was easy, there was almost no wait, I was in and out in 15 minutes for a back-registration and title transfer on a used vehicle. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and kind. AAA is hard to see on a drive by, building is recessed at end of short block. street signs hard to see on drive by as traffic is going speed limit. got hint it was behind jack in box, saw it, saw street sign, turned in, fyi. they had a line doing dmv registration. got quick service getting a duplicate AAA road service card, parking lot is configured in a way that may lead to accidents while parking up. -not totally hazardous, little traffic, one can judge once looking both ways. enote: -email from AAA took over 3 hours to arrive. causing me to make a trip. not sure of reason for delay. read more

I bought a new car and I went there to transfer my title and get a registration. The location and workers were good. But two weeks later I received my title back and notification that my registration is not valid from dmv. So basically the worker didn't do it right, she missed a lot of things and I had to go to another AAA to do my papers right and I had to pay for the service again and pay extra for car taxes. read more

I'm not sure if it was the Hayward branch. the rep told me they would be out in 45 mins. I had a flat tire. I didn't realize I still had a spare in the back so I called AAA for a tow around 3:24am. I called back an hour later, after not receiving any updates or phone calls from anyone. The rep tells me tow trucks aren't available in that area until 5:30 or 6:30. That would've been helpful to know in the beginning. When AAA does show up, they are at the wrong gate and told me they wouldn't come to the right one, said he had a bunch of other calls and I needed to call someone else. I ended up changing it myself, thanks to YouTube. When someone pays for 4 AAA Premium Memberships, you'd think they'd get better service. read more

Not sure if the guy Brett Sanford works here still but I will never come back to this place because of him. My car was damaged while using AAA roadside assistance. Was trying to get in contact with him and it seems like he wanted to just play phone tag with me. Doesn't answer my emails and for some reason when I called he was never around. I had asked to be switched to some other person. Somehow he was the ONLY one that I had to go through. She was extremely rude through the phone and kept raising her voice at me while I was just talking calmly with her I normally hate to waste my time to write a review but she totally deserves this review and for other customers to be aware. I simply asked am I able to turn in my paper work (title, smog, etc) to get tags, plates and everything is already paid for such as the registration, she stated that I can't cause it's a purchase from the auction. Why does it matter if it's from the auction they are just a seller like any other private sellers. I was so upset that after talking to her. I immediately called three other Triple A locations Danville, Newark, and Stevens Creek they all verified that I could file all my paper work through them even if I had already paid for registration at a local dmv office I can still turn in all my paperwork and grab my plates and everything. Joyce simply is not knowledgeable. Extremely rude on the phone and does not have the passion for a customer service representative. read more

I had to transfer title and register an out of state car. I was a little worried when I first got there because there were several folks in line ahead of me. However, the line went surprisingly quick. The staff was excellent: the greeter, the gentleman who inspected the car, and the agent at the desk that helped me get the required paperwork submitted. UPDATE: As you can see I received a reply from a AAA "customer service employee." I tried emailing them at the address they provided, which is invalid. I see the same 2 or 3 people leaving replies to bad reviews with requests to follow-up at the same email address, and they all have the exact same text. I looked into Paceco and it appears to be some sort of third-party market-research/PR corporation. I suspect that the replies from these people may simply be damage-control. I emailed AAA customer service about my incident directly through their website and will update my review again if they respond. read more

I avoid the DMV at all costs due to wait time and poor customer service. I came to this AAA branch location as it is the one closest to my residence. I love how friendly the employees are, end-to-end. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted. From the moment I walked out, I was also acknowledged and was told to "have a great day!". It's the little things. I came here earlier this month to renew my car registration and being the terrible person I am with timing (sometimes), I kind of waited last minute so I dropped by the office. So glad that they offer DMV services especially on a Saturday. The gentleman that helped me was courteous and quick (Unfortunately I did not catch his name) and I was out within 15 minutes with my new registration tag for my license plate (especially for a Saturday, that's record-breaking compared to going to a traditional DMV office with no appointment). So if you're looking for an alternative, quick place to process your car registration needs, swing by this AAA office! read more

Third time visit to this branch is not a charm!!!! Still unproductive. First visit was understandable transferring or getting the vehicle registered in CA since it was purchased from a dealership in another state. I was told that I need to go to CHP for VIN verification. Since, they do not do the VIN inspection only CHP. Gave me a form to give to CHP. The female Caucasian advises me after the CHP inspected/verified the VIN I can bring the form back to them. Third visit, was very frustrating. An African-American male with a very heavy annoying scent was on the window was very rude and condescending. He should be working at DMV not AAA with his attitude. As I was explaining to him what the previous employee told me he interrupted me and told me that "that I should respect his time and he will respect mine." You get paid while I visit your place of employment, I take time off to accomplish what I am supposed to do with the help of AAA, wherein I can not do during this pandemic at DMV. I already knew as soon as I approached the window and greeted him and ignored me. I knew I will in for a "treat." As I gave him the out of state title and a DMV form filled out by CHP Officer for VIN verification, he then asked, "What am I looking at here?" I just hope instructions will be more clearer instead of people giving us a run around. Poor customer service for that guy! I rate that guy zero for customer service and attitude! read more

I went to get to do auto paperwork on 10/17/22 as I have done this in the past and fully aware that they stop doing auto paperwork 15 mins prior to closing. I got to the front counter exactly 5:44p and the girl at the counter says " we stop severing customers for auto at 5:45p. I look at my watch and it says 5:44p, and I ask her what time does she have on her watch? She says 5:44p but it's close enough to 5:45p and the counter is close. The lady next to her listens to my conversation and yells over to the DMV/counter and asks if their register is open, and they lady there says it's close.. all I get is a Sorry, please come back tomorrow. As I leave I inform them that it's not right that they close earlier than stated. I asked for a managers name, and they gave me a name of Jesse Navarro. I called 510-670-4403 two different times and left messages informing him of the incident. I feel that this location can be a good location just like the other AAA locations. Haven't heard anyone or received any phone call. read more
