I have a claim with CSAA. Their insured is Eduardo Alfredo Guzman who rear ended me & totaled my car. The CSAA reps Jean Garcia, Janet Jimenez & Danielle Santos are worse than useless. They are giving preference to a scammer that their client didn't even hit directly. They are giving me the runaround and will not settle with me - the one who was hurt & Guzman totaled my car. Guzman & the scammer were conspiring at the scene of the accident to make a fake claim of injury. My own insurance company got rid of 2 different scammers that tried to say they were hit & injured but weren't. I am beyond angry and tired of these CSAA idiots. The scammer didn't even show proof of financial responsibility & got a ticket for that. Yet CSAA is not doing anything about my claim & will not assign an adjuster or call me back & keep me updated. read more

My first time at this AAA branch. It was so nice. I was greeted by the door. Wait for my turn and an associate name Tatyana J helps me with my car registration and other things that i need to do for my car. She was so nice and helpful. Tatyana was also training a new employee at the time I was there. She was very nice with her new coworker. I observed her being very polite. So let me start off by saying I really appreciate that AAA offers so much for your loyalty as a customer! Top pro reason to have AAA membership hands down! We came here to get a few DMV things taken care of and quite honestly the process seemed to be so seamless but unfortunately in the end wasn't the case. The staff was very friendly but at the same time such sticklers about things that come to find out were not even necessary. We were told we had to come back with all this paper work and then we could get our business finished. So we filled out all the documents and ended up having to go to a different AAA. Once we got there the agent told us all we did wasn't necessary and also we had a few wrong forms for what we needed so then he allowed us to fix it right there and proceeded to handle all our business so quickly! My downfall with this particular branch is obviously they don't really know what's necessary to do a title transfer and maybe they need to get a little more training. Manager included because she also came out and made it a big deal that we didn't have certain things that weren't needed in the end. All in all will I come back here? Yeah sure, but only for something less complicated in the future. read more

Came in for my usual annual membership and auto registration renewal. One of the reasons I love coming here for these services is the friendly greeting at the door entrance, the wait time is very minimal, informative atmosphere and I just found out you can have your passport pictures done here. "WOW!!!!!" You've got to admit that's providing service. Now about today's visit. What was great about this visit was that Tatiana I hope I spelled her name correctly. Went above and beyond my expectations of service by making me aware and helping me with a DMV issue with one of my vehicles I didn't even know I had. I was able to resolve the issue in a timely manner and reasonable amount of funds. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with both the service I received and the recommendation from AAA. While visiting Pleasanton, my car broke down at Costco, and I called AAA for assistance. Since Harry's Auto Repair was listed as a recommended shop, I asked the tow driver to take me there. When I arrived, I clearly explained to the receptionist (the owner's daughter) that the issue was the starter. Despite that, I was later charged $189 for a "diagnostic" fee--something that is typically applied toward the repair cost, not added on top of it. I was also significantly overcharged for the starter itself. A brand-new AC Delco starter is available through GM for around $401, yet I was charged $646. On top of that, I was hit with a $32 credit card fee that was never disclosed in advance. Had I known, I would have paid with a debit card. The total came out to $1,103, which feels excessive and unjustified given the circumstances. This experience has left me very frustrated, especially considering this shop came recommended by AAA. I also emailed several AAA representatives regarding this issue and have received no response. I believe I am owed at least a $480 refund and will be raising this issue directly with AAA. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. read more

We have a vacation coming up and will end up in Miami. This will be our first time there and we need to figure out how much time we want to spend there as well as where to stay before we book the airfare. We know that we need to keep it at no longer than 6 nights in an effort to control costs and also so our dog won't think that she's been abandoned. We dropped into this AAA office to see what they might have in the way of maps. The woman who was greeting clients and directing them where to go for assistance told us to have a seat and she would be right with us. I regret that I failed to ask her name. Her customer service with us and interactions that we saw with other members was exemplary. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, brought over a couple of other maps that she thought might be useful to us and engaged a co-worker to look in "the back" to see if it might be in stock. She also offered to order what we wanted if we wouldn't mind waiting for a couple of weeks for the order to arrive. Such quality of service is such a rarity anymore. Came here to transfer car ownership. This AAA location is my family's favorite and I can see why. The service is really helpful, and I was able to get my first-ever car insurance here. Unlike the DMV, it's the customer service is smooth and timely here. Everyone is very professional. During the panemdic, social distancing was enforced! People lined up outside, and there were chairs inside for customers in the queue. Last time I was here, there were a lot of 2000s music played, including Linkin Park's "New Divide," Cascada's "Everytime We Touch," and Evanescence's "My Immortal." Totally took me back to the nostalgic days of 2000s radios! Whoever was in charge of music here has great taste. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle and needed to get it registered so I utilized my membership benefit and made an appointment on line for their DMV services. I was kept up to date via text and when I arrived to the branch for my appoint, it was easy peasy. I walked in and told the front desk that I had an appointment and was asked to take a seat while they informed the folks that I had arrived. I waited about 3 mins before I was called up to the counter, completed a couple of signatures and was done. I anticipated the visit to be longer, but I was done within 15 mins. No appointment needed, walked in early Saturday afternoon and was on my way less than 20 minutes. This office exceeded my expectations, from the friendly greeters to the exceptional associate Natalie Ortiz. I walked in thinking I might gather information. Instead, Ms. Ortiz said she could help me! Ms. Ortiz was patient, kind, efficient and knowledgeable and submitted all the paperwork for the title transfer. I'm grateful for her help. It's been more than 2 1/2 years since I wrote my last review, so I guess it's no surprise that Elite status continues to elude me. My girlfriend and I both have a long list of reviews we intend to write - both positive and negative - but if you're anything like us, you're busier than ever. How is it that, despite saving heaps of time no longer commuting because the apocalypse has shut things down, we find ourselves with less and less free time? Anyway, I've come out of my review-writing hiatus because this AAA location is *that* good. This is probably the fourth time I've visited this location for DMV matters in the last six months, and each time I'm there, I'm reminded how worth it my AAA membership is. Not only am I saving heaps of time not at the DMV, the people here in this office are downright pleasant and friendly. Seriously, it's not just one or two of the people there (remember, this was my fourth visit this year); I've had the pleasure of having at least three different people help me at with DMV services, not to mention the three different people I've seen working the front. Helpful, friendly, patient, thorough . . . I could go on and on, but I'll cut to the chase and say that I continue to be impressed. This has been the complete *opposite* of everything you might expect in a proverbial visit to the DMV. You'll save time, you may save money, you'll fill out less paperwork, and you'll leave with a smile. Thank you again, and keep up the great work. Scot Kunselman is a great service provider and asset for the AAA Oakland Rockridge Branch. We had been notified that our current home insurance provider opted to not renew our home insurance this year, due to its conclusion of potential fire danger in the Berkeley hills. Hence, an immediate search for a replacement home insurance provider. I reached out to Scot, via a very positive referral from our neighbor. Scot reacted very proactively and knowledgeably, with a very professional and reasonable quote for home insurance. He contacted me continuously and made sure he took into account all of the things we were concerned/interested in. We ultimately ended up with another service provider. However, I am super impressed with Scot's proactive and customer focused service (I had not received this level of service from our Berkeley branch--no callbacks or followups by the insurance person assigned to us). I was happy to find out that I can save myself hours at the DMV line and come to this location and pay $60 for roadside assistance and be able to renew my registration at the same time. On top of me not having to wait more than 5 min to speak to someone I was also able to get insurance here. The main reason I'm writing this review is to shout them out on really good seamless customer service. Everyone was super professional and you can tell that everyone is on the same page in regards to the level of service. Purchased a car from a friend and had to transfer the title. Was able to swing by this branch without an appointment and get that all taken care of, without ever having to set foot inside the DMV or deal with certified mail and confusion with billing. There were at least 4-6 people in front of my and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Also super covid safe. The doors are locked and they have someone do intake at the door before you enter. The line has chairs spaced 6ft apart and you just move up to the next chair as you get through the queue. There is hand sanitizer available everywhere and they have a bucket of clean pens and dirty pens. Everyone was super friendly! read more

I remember this AAA office used to be on MacArthur Blvd., across from Mosswood Park, many years ago. I found out in a telephone call that they have moved from there about 6 to 7 years ago to this location. The last time I had any dealings with them was before Y2K...like 14 years ago. Husband and I came to this office to start up a membership for roadside service for him and our daughter. A check-in and start up on the membership landed us with two Warriors beanie caps...cool, especially the rainy and cold weather at this time. The young lady at the front reception desk acknowledged us immediately and indicated that we would be assisted shortly. They had free Starbucks coffee, VIA magazine and an assortment of maps in the vending machines. The wait wasn't long (about 5 minutes). The first gentleman, Dan, thought we needed to apply for insurance. We thanked him for assisting us; the purpose of the visit was to apply for road service membership. Thereafter, he referred us to Ethan Yang. Ethan worked quickly to process the paperwork and accepted the payment for membership.
