UM, I really don't know why folks in L. A. who own or drive cars on a regular basis don't have AAA membership. It makes absolutely no sense. The AAA is a great deal and can save a lot of grief. If the person servicing your car in the case of a breakdown is a crook, you can usually go along and the Auto Club will resolve the issue to your satisfaction at a later date. But when you're broke down you gotta go with the flow so to speak. In addition some of the Insurance companies will offer additional road side insurance so you have even more coverage. Honestly people, I don't care how many rude people or junk mail you have to deal with, get AAA membership. The tow truck came with a huge flatbed that's used for towing tractors I have a mid size suv. They left my car on the street after towing it because he said they don't tow into the garage. My garage is about 12 feet tall every aaa tow I have ever had come here puts the car in the garage or takes it out of the garage. I was told they are using flatbeds now because it's just easier for them to get the car but it's not convenient for the customer the flatbed blocked my whole street and can't fit into drive ways so how is a customer supposed to get their car in their spot. They left my car on the street to be ticketed and when I called for another tow truck a smaller one they told me I have to pay 115.00 for a special truck. It's a regular size truck which tow everyone cars I asked for not a special outta this world truck. Yeah triple aaa said you get 4 free tows a year they just didn't want to pay the third party they now hire to move my car to the garage like it should have been because that would be apart of the original tow . So keep in mind now you have to specify with aaa I want my car towed to my parking spot. Also the battery I bought from them died in a couple months I heard they are using old refurbished batteries! read more

We have been members forever! Was really getting irritated about never using the tow service until last October! In Oregon in the middle of nowhere, ok outside Hillsboro, my sons 2014 Lincoln SUV just shuts off, I pull over. Only a 4 lane highway, late afternoon, southbound on Hwy. 26. I was able to start it again and it shut off again. I call Tillamook Ford/Lincoln to try and figure out if I do get it started again. Which dealership to I try to get to. Tillamook said do not come to us, Hwy. 6 has cellular dead zones. Tigard is the place to try to head to, outside of Portland. I had just come from there an hour before. I also called down to Los Angeles to Galpin Lincoln to find out why something wasn't detected in the full service I had only a few days before. They did not have the answer. So I was able to start the car, get turned around, heading towards Tigard. Only got a quarter mile in the opposite direction, the car shit off. SO I CALLED THE AUTO CLUB, got a very helpful operator on the phone. She checked to make sure that I was safe, and off the road, out of harms way! Once this was established she got right to work asking what I think is wrong. I gave her the information, told her where Tillamook Ford/Lincoln wanted me to take the car, connected me with a tow truck company dispatch operator, we established where I approximately was, and said it would be an hour, with the AAA operator still on the phone, asking if they should dispatch a police officer to keep me safe until the tow truck driver arrived. It was still light out, and the traffic was not bad. I said that I was fine at my location. I received a call from the type truck driver a few minutes later to pinpoint my location, and he said like dispatch said, about an hour. Described his truck, color, gave me his cell phone number and full name, and a description of what he looked like. Just like he said, an hour later he showed up, checked out the car, backed the tow truck up, hooked me up, and we headed to Tigard Lincoln/Ford. Took about an hour to get there, he unhooked the car, checked in with a rep from Lincoln. I got a loaner car, the tow truck driver helped me transfer the equipment in the back of my car into the loaner, I tipped him , and off he went. A few moments later I got a call from AAA to make sure everything was satisfactory! And I was safe. I didn't get to the North Coast of Oregon until 10 pm. But a hairy as it could have been, I had a great experience with AAA. THANK YOU! Thank you for customer service! An though the car is only 4 years old, I had to change the shifter, and the E C Valve. Took four days! Glad that I took the bumper to bumper 7 year extended warranty! Worth every penny! read more

Did you also know they have the LOWEST life insurance rates in the whole country? Screw the DMV, the only reason for them is when you take your road test to get your license. I was very disappointed with this location. I went there because it was a more convenient location for that day (whereas usually I go to the Pasadena loc. on Union). There was no front desk to direct you so I guessed. Luckily there were big signs on the ceiling to at least help differentiate between the departments. I came here to add a vehicle to my existing policy and my goodness was it not worth it. The woman at the Insurance "Front Desk" hardly greeted me. I told her what I was there for and she told me to wait to be called. Okay, typical response. Then, after I sat and was called again, I realized the same woman from the "front desk", Georgia S., was going to be the one to "help" me. I stood up and followed her to her cubicle and not a word was said. I sat and the procedure began. I explained to her what I needed and she was very rude and dry about the whole thing. She asked for a Current Registration and that she couldn't proceed without a current form and when I explained to her that it was going to be a problem considering DMV won't actually give me a current registration without proof of insurance, she sighed and seemed annoyed as she kept typing. Not One friendly gesture from this woman. Not one, and that REALLY annoyed me. She asked for the Mileage and when I didn't have that either, she showed even more annoyance. Wow. I mean, really? I'm PAYING this place for a damned piece of paper that is unfortunately required by law, the least this woman can do is PRETEND to be nice. I wasn't expecting an over-the-top service or anyone to kiss my feet, no, but any business should know that Customer Service is a definite priority. We ended the whole thing with a half-finished job. She told me I was going to have to come back to her (damn) and give her a copy of the Current Registration by end of day, as well as the Mileage on the vehicle. She put me on the queue for the DMV AAA dept. and I waited, frustrated with my experience with Georgia S. Once at the DMV AAA Dept. another wave of frustration came to me when the girl told me she couldn't help me because the registration wasn't under MY name, the Member's name. ARE YOU SEROIUS?! C'mon, AAA, it's MY car I PAY for insurance on it, must you really get picky on the circumstances?! WTF?! Anyway, I rushed out of there to hit the closest DMV, which was in Glendale. I got that taken of, luckily, just in time to come back to AAA and finalize this whole fiasco. I entered the premises dreading to speak to this Georgia S. again, afraid that I may actually be rude right back, but this time, luckily, I was helped by Michael M. He was the complete opposite of Georgia S. He greeted me with a smile. Walked WITH me to his cubicle and even pulled out the chair for me. How's that for over-the-top? I was extremely tempted to mention my earlier encounter with Georgia, but didn't because it would have done no good to complain to another employee. After all, didn't know how loyal employees were to each other here. The whole thing with Michael was pleasant. He took my information and finished off the ordeal pleasantly. All in all. Georgia S. made this experience very unpleasant. I'll probably try this place one more time to see if it's improved, but I won't be looking forward to it. read more

Chris did his job but Dominic and Anthony I'm surprised that they work in this field. #1 Anthony as the supervisor could take more responsibility for his employees actions he was very dismissive and unapologetic he told me he would call me back and instead had Chris call me back. Now Dominic I can tell he's not happy to be working on a Sunday but he definitely needs help with customer service and I hope that they can get him the right training because he was terrible. Basically I got a flat the company that was supposed to come called me to tell me that they would take about 1 hr to get here that they would call the office and ask to send someone else I gave it a few minutes and called aaa and Dominic basically said something to the effect of don't call me I'll call you I gave it a few more minutes again and when I called back he said the same thing now it's a Sunday I understand it takes time but he went as far to tell me he wasn't going to put me on hold he'll call me back so u asked for a supervisor which also said he would call me back and then didn't so I calls a fourth time and Chris answered by this time he said sorry it will be another 20 min so I spoke to Anthony again the supervisor he again very unapologetic so I asked for his supervisor and I got ona she right away understood and even if she just thought I was some crazy lady complaining she was calm and I felt she was genuinely on my side trying to help I had already changed my own tire but she convinced me to have the mechanic tighten it for me she called back a little late but she was very nice and she apologized for taking so long and I can definitely appreciate that. I was trying to cancel both the car and bike, and they let me know that I would be able to keep the bike insurance without having the car and that was always an option...... Called and was hung up on by the automatic system. Then on hold for almost an hour. Then, they refuse to do anything because I'm not a member. So very weak customer service. I've been a loyal AAA member for 19 years! I cant believe they left me hanging. I called for a tow, AAA sent our Larry's Tow. The amateur tow truck driver tried lifting my classic car and in the process dragged the bumper and cracked it. I called AAA to try to help me resolve this matter and they sited with the awful tow company. It took about a week for the AAA rep Alex to even receive my photos through email, because his AAA email account was not working. He took another week to respond, what crummy service. It reminded me I had the same experience at their Laguna Hills office years ago. I also had very good experience with their auto insurance. Went to the 1111 location at about 10 this morning and was out by about 10.15 with everything I needed. Didn't have an appointment either. I will NEVER go back to DMV again for anything but license stuff, as that's the only thing AAA can't handle. I can't even give one star to this location. From the beginning the line to the reception stretches to outside the door and no actual marking to where the line is . Second is the receptionist just told me to go over there (?) which after going to that direction I had to ask someone else there what should I do next . So he told me to stand in the line to get a quicker service which in return I got a horrible response from teller...(first time there - sorry a manager told me to stand there) . So now the she decided to help me I got a treatment like a mental patient . So I was missing something on the paper work and was sent away helpless . When I got back the entry proses was better but than again I was missing something - couldn't she tell me everything the first time so I don't have to go there for the gazillion time ... Better go to DMV next time or to the west Hollywood location . Again I apologize for expecting service from a company that offer actual honest service - suppose to any way . I'll be changing insurance carriers because what used to be easy and simple - covering a new vehicle - has become a nightmare, with the stupid CS agent calling and emailing me wanting more and more info and then sending me the insurance docs with some guys name on it because he supposedly lives at my address! Because of this idiot, it took me 4 additional days to get the car. I have had no accidents or tickets and the most discounts possible with the company so there's no reason OTHER than they have a new underwriting company that requires more paperwork than ever and now makes it difficult to cover a car for someone that is an ideal customer!!!! Obsolete? I was a member for over 15 years and recently went back after an injury had kept me from driving. While waiting (45 minutes) to see my favorite insurance agent, I was mocked and ridiculed by the Burbank staff, who were openly were laughing at me and my appearance as I left. The AAA office is strewn with posters, garlands and stuffed toys advertising their real business; selling vacation tours to monied retirees. It looks like a 7 year olds bedroom rather than a business. "Members" with claims are told to call the faceless call center. The towing service driver stood first in the grime, then on my car seat. When I showed him the layer of filthy grease his footprint had left on the immaculate dove grey upholstery, he dipped a rag in something and rubbed on the surface after I'd expressly told him not to, that I wanted to vacuum it first. It's a mess now. The garage I had my car towed to (Firestone on Laurel Canyon) told me I'd have to pay them now and be reimbursed by AAA. These aren't services. One of the worse experiences I have ever had. I went in to get a quote for an auto policy, I got a quote of 1200. After two months my policy price went up to 1600. Employee that helped me (Jaime) said that he had forgot to put how many miles I drive. After finding his mistake, he emailed the accounting department to fix it . Three months of going back to the office , one day I came in to find out that the employee was no longer with the company. In this case I started reaching out to his supervisor ( Sergio ). It took about three visits for me to actually be able to talk to him. After realizing what mistakes his employee has made , he told me that he will be able to fix some of the fees. Every week I would call to see what happened to the balance, never picking up his phone or responding to his voicemails. He had his assistance call me to tell me that he is not able to do anything since the balance just went to the collections agency. At the end of the day , I ended up paying all the fees just so my credit doesn't look bad. Please do your self a favor and don't visit this office. AAA has always been good to me; from travelling assistance and booking to auto insurance to roadside service, they've never failed me. Their rates are decent and they offer a ton of different discounts on things. I used to go see Barbara all the time for my travel needs, and she was just amazing-patient, helpful, caring and sweet. I recently went in to switch over my car insurance from Met Life (fucking AWFUL company and customer service) to AAA and Jinsuk was unbelievable. I learned so much from her, she took so much time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood every detail. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and really knows what she's doing. Jinsuk helped me take advantage of as many discounts as I could qualify for. She wanted to save me money while also making sure that I had the coverage that would be best for me and fit my needs.
