AAA Encino gives the best service. Organizes System, Courteous and Fast no less. Mary is one of those. In fact, I will venture to say that in my experience and entire family, this year, all AAA employees including the towing service gentlemen themselves are very helpful and courteous and professional. Customer service is warm and welcoming! read more

I walked on and there were people everywhere. It seemed like a usual busy day that you'd expect from AAA, the DMV, or Post Office. I was expecting a long hassle and the rudeness that follows packed environments with over stressed employees. The employees delivered a completely different experience. Everyone was pleasant and cheerful, upbeat even. I swear, I was ready to go put in an application because I'd want to work in that environment. It was a pleasant experience read more

We had a great experience at this location! The wait time was short, and the service was fast and efficient. Aaron was so nice, friendly, and helpful. He made our visit even better. We really appreciate the excellent service and will definitely be back! read more

Here now. There is a 45 minute wait on a Tuesday! Not Saturday. When we pay for the service. They have like 2 people and like 15 people waiting. Why? Millions of dollars in profits. Don't come to this location. read more

Needed to insure my new ring and Jason was so sweet helping me here today. I really love AAA for my auto and home insurance. This location has a parking lot in the back and a decent waiting area. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They offer home, life, auto and travel services. With special discounts for AAA members. Definitely worth the investment! They have restrooms and a small lift (elevator) for anyone who can't get down the small set of stairs. Wait time depends on your needs. Between 4-5pm it's not too crowded. Just beware of the dopes coughing and not covering their mouths. You may want to bring a mask. Just saying. Open Monday - Friday 9-5pm Saturday 9-1pm read more

AAA Insurance - DMV registration available here! It's so convenient - Travel Services Near Me - Encino, California

Beyond thankful for AAA. Online car registration renewal was not working. I was dreading going to the DMV but then remembered AAA has DMV services. Went at 4pm on a Monday and was out by 4:20. Much quicker than any DMV I have been to. Not to mention the staff were friendly and helpful! read more

Convenient location to get some DMV services completed. The staff are nice, and there's a waiting area as cozy as their parking lot - small and compact. Vehicles / Insurance registrations are generally easy. However, the experience today was ridiculous. I already paid the registration, and they requested a smog check. Once I did that and returned, they had me wait TWENTY FIVE MINUTES for a sticker. I really hope they change some policies to fix this. It shouldn't take 25 minutes to get a renewal sticker when everything else has already been completed. read more

Wonderful customer service! The staff here is so kind and very efficient in their work. Came on a weekend morning and didn't have to wait very long at all. They have a little seating area that is comfortable if you do end up having to wait. The office was decorated in a very festive manner for the holidays, which was cute. You can tell they really care about where they work. We also came in with our two-year-old and the staff was so kind to him and let him play with lots of things that were used for displays which was really kind of them. They also had some kids coloring books for sale that came in handy to keep my son entertained while we were waiting. They also sell travel guides/books if you're planning a trip! For all had a great experience at this location. Appreciate the parking lot in the back as well. read more

Negligence wasting other peoples time at its finest. When is issuing somebody a new plate? How do you only give them one out of the two stickers that they need? Now I have to waste my time and come back there and waste my time in line again because you guys don't hire enough DMV agents. read more

The agent at this encino aaa offered me a life insurance, about 59 dollars, which I paid may be 8 months , then they gave me a quote , to pay more money for 10 years and secure it went up to almost 150, I guess I paid 2 to 3 months and I decided to cancel it, because to much money. I went talked to agent, he made me a letter I signed it and he sent it to the appropriate office. A year after I got a statement saying about that insurance , they been deducting 145 every month for a year. Without me knowing I was been charge for life insurance. It sound like scam!!! The agent didn't send the signed form from me . Be careful people check your bank statements when you cancel anything with AAA. Iam not happy ss needs to reimburse that money 1700 because I cancelled with the agent. I give only one review due to this incident with Aaa. I feel I bee scammed by AAA. I been treated with dishonesty. :( read more

I went to register my off-road vehicle. The first visit, I was told I needed a VIN verification because "they don't do that here." So I scheduled an appointment with CHP and obtained the verification. When I returned with the completed VIN verification, I was then told they don't register off-road vehicles at all. This is completely unacceptable. If the Encino location doesn't offer a service that AAA advertises, their staff should know this upfront instead of sending customers on a wild goose chase. The lack of training and communication at this location wasted hours of my time between two visits and a CHP appointment. I will not be renewing my AAA membership due to this experience. read more

I had some car registration and transfer stuff I needed to complete, Mary and Desiree were so quick and helpful! I waited less than 10 minutes and was shocked at how easy and smooth the process was. I have been a member for 45 years, I had to use their travel department, the service was extremely poor! They dont return calls they are understaffed, and the agents they have are very inexperienced, unprofessional, you can that they are new to the travel field. Poor training! They cannot answer qquestions, in fact they seem to be lost!!! I went to another travel agency my reservation went so smooth, with my flight and Hotel booked with a package price that was the lowesr price. The agent was a vetyeran, answered all questions, gave advice, explained in detail, and professional! Their was a night and day differnece than the club. This was done in a fraction of the time, that going in person to the Encino office. Also the Woodland Hills office travel department, does not return calls. The only office that does returns calls, sets appointments, is their office on Wilshire Blvd In Los Angleles. I decided to go indepemdent of the auto club. It proved to be right decision!! 1 star across the board don't usde the auto club! Their much better out there!! Just Keeping It Real!! The Keep IUt Real Guy. read more

I came into the office to handle some DMV services, and they were unable to find my membership so I figured it lapsed. Turns out it was under the "Northern California region" which somehow they can't see, though it's 2026. So they had me buy a membership and Todd S also duped me into buying insurance, after he also failed to inform me that I should do more due diligence about my existing membership considering AAA is living in 1970. When I realized I actually had a valid membership, I called to cancel the duplicate membership and have them connect the insurance policy with my existing membership. I spent an hour on the phone and got nowhere. Then I came in, in person, and escalated the matter to manager Colette C., who then informed me they would be unable to connect the insurance to my existing membership and that I had to pay a "short fee" of 113$, and that somehow the initial insurance down payment of 155$ paid about a week ago got prorated to the extent that the refunded me an offensive 1$, and can only *maybe*refund the duplicate membership fee. Overall horrible experience, incompetent and negligent service, I feel like I just got had by a bunch of crooks. The only positive was the folks in DMV services were helpful and got everything I needed accomplished. but AAA basically screwed me out of 154$ and will potentially screw me out of a chunk of the duplicate membership fee as well. Horrible job AAA I am so disappointed in this organization and in Colette C. And Todd S. read more

Do not come here. The wait time is ridiculous and the employees move like molasses. Go elsewhere!!

I am rating this business 5 stars because of the service I received from Aaron. This was after getting poor service from a colleague of his (Sonia). I will not go into detail about her, but she made me feel like going to this office was a waste of my time (and my membership was a waste of money). Aaron was patient, helpful and understanding. He was informative and I felt so much better after speaking with him regarding the questions I had. I only hope that they would hire more people like him so that I would feel confident getting great service if I were to return. It is wild how you can have such different experiences at the same business depending on who you speak with. read more

Still maintaining one star status - I called for a tow truck this morning and they sent a small vehicle thats only capable of battery service - SMDH !!!! read more

AAA is the biggest rip off for insurance. They just over price it to make more money. The DMV service is good and so is the towing service

They have two separate services, one is for DMV concerns and the other is for personal insurance (home, auto, renter, etc.). I've gone there numerous times for both and they could not have been friendlier and super knowledgeable. I most recently had the pleasure of dealing with a woman named Sonia for DMV issues. She was super polite, friendly and efficient. For insurance, I dealt with an agent named Tod Shirvanian. I got his full name because I didn't want him to be mistaken for any other agent. This guy is the best insurance agent I've ever had to deal with. He isn't just an order taker. I asked him several questions about different coverages and aspects, and he broke his answers down in ways that made it easy for me to understand. I got home, earthquake and auto with AAA, mainly thanks to Tod! I've already recommended him to some family members. read more

Buffy & Desiree were such a big help here at AAA. More than attentive and meticulous. I appreciated their help as well as kind words.

Every time we come in for member services, DMV services, insurance, maps, or trip planning, the staff is always knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Case in point -- Today I stopped in to see if AAA might be able to provide a few LA maps for my classroom, and supervisor Sarah stepped up and took care of my request, even asking if there might be other types of maps I'd find useful for classroom use. Thanks for taking care of your members (and teachers)! read more

Welcome to the world of AI. impossible to speak to a live person at this location. I've tried several times they keep sending me around in circles and talking to "virtual assistants" who just spew out information. So disappointing. read more

California DMV took & cashed my check for DMV registration renewal, but failed to send me the license sticker to put on my car plate & the registration form receipt. Either through DMV or US post office incompetence, I was up a creek without paddle since I thought I would have to go to the dreaded DMV and get in a line that would take 3 hours & more to maneuveur. I found out that one of the perks of being a AAA member is that many everyday transactions at the DMV can be consummated at the AAA thus by passing the California institution of torture. So at AAA I showed my original notice for renewal. From that, the needed info to check to see if DMV received & processed my renewal was ascertained. AAA simply printed out my car registration & gave me my sticker all in less than 15 minutes. During that time the friendly AAA representative & I got into a short, interesting conversation about Hinduism and India. It was cultural education & obtaining my DMV registration documents all in one fell swoop. How cool is that. From now on, I will go to AAA, pay my DMV renewal and simultaneously get my sticker & car registration papers to avoid not getting them via mail since lost mail translates into lost time and energy. You need: "Valid AAA Membership Card (California Only) Valid driver's license, government-issued ID or DMV ID card. For vehicle-specific transactions, your name must be on the vehicle title or registration and all parties involved must be AAA members." Depending on state laws, AAA can provide: "Vehicle and vessel registration renewals Duplicate registration and stickers Driver's license change of address Release of liability Used vehicle transfers New and used boat transfers Duplicate platesParking placards Personalized license plates Disabled plates Off highway vehicle registration renewal (dirt bikes, ATVs, etc.)" AAA is an invaluable asset that not only takes care of emergency car & road safety needs, but also is a convenience in avoiding the chaotic pandemonium of the DMV. read more

The whole experience was surprisingly great! I say surprisingly because of the bad Yelp reviews I read. I called on the way and Kay was very friendly. I had to pay for registration to get my sticker. Plenty of parking. No line. The 2 people I encountered were efficient. A girl who greeted me first and told me where nearest ATM was ( both my cards were visa debit, so i had to get cash) and then the guy that processed It was very polite and friendly. read more

I have had MANY frustrations with this AAA over the past couple of years and wanted to write this review once I had a clearer head... so here it goes! In short: inconvenient location to visit and don't expect to get any real help. Take everything you hear with several grains of salt. - TERRIBLE parking. There's a mini parking lot in the back that's shared with a salon, and a bunch of spaces are reserved. Very commonplace to watch people drive in and out and all around just to ultimately park somewhere on the street. I hate that I always feel the need to loop twice, and it always turns into a disappointing experience to park here. I'm sure the employees are parking in the lot, which is a definite no-no for any populated businesses on Ventura Blvd. - Awful service, especially recently. I echo the sentiments of other reviewers here - the employees act like there's no long line of people always waiting to check in. No urgency to bring the next person up, plenty of side chatter and relaxed demeanors. They really act like they don't care. Today, two people in line ahead of me were shrugged off and told to come back another day, simply because there were so many other people waiting. One lady asked to wait and the associate looked at her and said "It's going to be a long wait, but sure." I watched a couple of other negative interactions that resulted in frustrated customers huffing out the door, by other employees. No smile, no pleasantries, no apologies for the inconvenience to anyone. There is no sense of urgency or hustle at all, everything here is nonchalant and relaxed. Why? Well, that brings me to my next point... - Lack of follow-through and actual help. I ordered a license plate from this location a year ago. After 3 months, I dropped in for an update. I was told that, given COVID, license plates are actually taking up to 4 months but "it should be coming very soon." After 6 months, I showed up again and was told "given everything going on," the timeframe is 6-7 months but no more than that. Well, I came again today and was told by a manager that she's been telling her team to tell people "minimum of 9 months." I literally looked at her and was like "You know they didn't tell me 9 months back then." She responded "Oh, yes, it's always been 8-9 months." I can understand supply chain issues and COVID affecting production and all that, but PLEASE don't blatantly lie to your customers. It's so tacky and unprofessional, and reinforces the issues that customers have with you. In fact, to reiterate the point about lack of service, they wouldn't even check if they had the license plate in the office until I asked for the THIRD time. Again, I understand delays and it is what it is, but you wouldn't even check until I insisted? Same lady who told the woman in front of me to come back another day because "there's a wait," mind you. Frustrating all around. This review should really be a one-star, but I'm giving a second star because I have been to this location on several occasions pre-COVID and the people who were there back then were patient, helpful and considerate... Unfortunately, those folks seem to be long gone. Go to any other AAA possible - seriously, this one won't do you much good. Besides roadside assistance, AAA is a waste. I'd rather go to the DMV. read more

I have been a triple A member for 10+ years and I have never in my life received such terrible service before ! The lady sitting taking registration payments was extremely rude, huffing and puffing. Came here on 9/25/23 and all I can say is that the customer service at AAA Encino was awesome! Brittany was so helpful, patient and caring about the needs of me and my mom. We were both lacking sleep and still dealing with the loss of our family member which has been quite difficult. Brittany brightened our day with her beautiful energy and spirit. She walked us through all of the paperwork to make sure everything was filled out correctly. Thank you so much Brittany for being an angel. I'm quite sure that AAA must know what a wonderful employee they have in you. Keep up the good work :)I will definitely be returning to this location for all of my future DMV services. read more

One of the managers who works here needs to be coached and retrained on her sarcasm towards customers. I didn't catch her name, she had brunette hair, fair skin. I didn't appreciate her smirking attitude towards my last visit. She needs to learn how to talk to customers in a professional way without trying to make them feel belittled. This is definitely a reflection of the quality of people AAA hires. read more

I came to the office to pick up paper maps for a fun road trip around Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia. The woman working at the desk gave me maps for Pennsylvania and Virginia, and told me that there aren't maps for West Virginia. I questioned that and looked up on my phone to find out that in fact, Ohio and West Virginia are together. I suggested that she look again and she says "oh you're right." She was adamant that there was no West Virginia map. This is apparently not a new employee; why is somebody like this providing a disservice to members? To help with identification, she had long, dark brown hair and nose piercings. read more

Just want to give people a heads up if they're looking for homeowners insurance. I've been with AAA for 30+ years and they continue to disappoint with homeowners insurance. The devastating storms that we had here in Southern California caused a lot of damage inside my home. AAA sent an inspector out, and they deemed that none of the damage was covered by homeowners insurance. What a great way to treat a loyal customer. Paying an exorbitant premium every year, and they never come through. Fool me once, shame on them, fool me twice, shame on me. Ricky, my adjuster, was no help at all. Nobody advocates for you. read more

I always receive the best customer service from this establishment. Whether it's roadside assistance or car insurance or car registration - they get the job done and well. I popped into this office to register my son's vehicle and get his tags and because he's a member, as am I, that service is provided here and at no extra charge - you just pay the DMV fee on your paperwork. The process is easier, there are way less people and shorter lines here than at the DMV. No, they are not the DMV but they do provide some of the same services at no cost to you. I was there about 7 minutes. I checked in and waited to be called. The service was fast and with a smile. They have there own parking lot directly behind the building as well as meter street parking on the side and in the front. So many benefits to being a member. read more

My AAA membership pays for itself. Not just the roadside service which is impeccable, but the DMV service they can provide too. If only they could figure out a way to use debit or credit cards. Wait time was a bit long (~45 minutes), but the main reason for the low review is the terrible customer service provided by the person I worked with at the DMV counter. She was rude, dismissive, reluctant to provide information, ignored my questions until I had to add a "HELLO, MA'AM?" at the end (then she answered - so she did hear the question). She could barely make eye contact or explain anything (but had no problem talking to her co-workers) - happier to hold a printed page up to the glass and point at a line of text to read. I'll find a different AAA office next time even though it's less convenient, since dealing with customers is something they clearly don't enjoy here. I get better customer service at the local DMV office...pretty weak, AAA. read more
