Now that Michael is no longer working there.service from Onguard is almost nonexistent. The guy named Art is ZERO help. I'm now on my own. As soon as I posted this review, Art called me right away and tried to help me and asked me to remove this review. I told him that I would modify it if his customer service improved. He then transferred me to his boss. I spoke to Aman who demanded that I remove this review or he would call Safeco to end my policy. Not only is this guy irrational, he is also extremely rude and merciless. Some people are not helpful but they're still casual and conversational. I do not delete reviews, I only update them. I appreciate the fact that the manager, Juan Flores, reached out to me through call, text and email regarding my poor experience with one of his agents. He reiterated that it was misinterpretation that's why Nancy's message come across as cold and insensitive. I would say, if Nancy really cared to make ammends, she should have made a follow up email or called me directly. But not a single apology from her (the only email I received from her the next day is another generic insurance email sent to prospects). I work in a field dealing with people all the time so I know a thing or two about customer service. I work very long hours and do not get to go home until past midnight, I believe as a potential customer, I should communicate and be accomodated to the type of communication I prefer. Regardless if it is personal, p hone call or email, you only get one chance to make a good impression to your customers and respect has to be reflected on every encounter. This is business. If you will ask for apology on your employee's behalf but subtly blame the other person for their own perception towards how your company conducts business, I think you should spend more time and resources training your agents about good customer service instead. read more

On November 13, I called to let them know I would be canceling my policy as they kept increasing my insurance rate after I had been with them for over 7 yrs. the guy that I spoke with after he a spoke with my daughter that he could get us better rate, which he couldn't. After he realized that we were getting a great rate he stated he would cancel our policy effect that day. One week later I called National General to see if he had in fact cancel and of course he hadn't, because of this my back account went overdraft, I called on guard to complain to the manager. He didn't care at all , and basically put it on me. Please do your self a favor and get insurance from State Farm, great prices and quality insurance, and affordable! read more

I seriously cannot put into words how incredibly relieved I am having not only found OnGuard, but was lucky enough to be randomly contacted by Artin. It was by pure chance that I even came across OnGuard, but BOY am I beyond glad that I did. Very shortly after I submitted a Quote Request, Artin contacted me (via email, phone, & text--lol this is what I call PERSISTENT!). As soon as I spoke w/him, I instantly felt comfortable & could immediately tell that I was going to be in good hands. He made the entire process extremely efficient, smooth, and professional. Henry was extremely helpful and also flexible to fit my specific needs and budget perfectly. Honestly I do my best to AVOID ever actually TALKING to someone because I am almost ALWAYS left feeling frustrated and unassisted. This was NOT the case at all with Henry. Here is why he deserves a stellar review: I received several calls from insurance companies this morning; all of them (with the exception of Michael at OnGuard) used hard-sell tactics trying to scare and push me into purchasing a policy. For those of us who have made mistakes like being convicted of a DUI (or two) and need to buy an SR-22 policy as a result, the last thing we need or want is to deal with greedy insurance agents who lack both empathy and patience. But, you won't get that here. It's really refreshing, actually. I have a strong personality and ask a lot of questions, but he took it in stride. Michael was kind and patient and took his time. . . Although it's still just a business doing what business do; they appear to operate with a rare level of respect and humility. Kudos to y'all. Thank you, Michael. Worst customer service ever. We were on vacation and our payment was a few days late. They asked us to fill out a form to indicate we were not in an accident, which we promptly returned in certified mail. Upon receiving this they claimed they not only did not receive it, but they had no idea who sent it (despite the fact we have his full name and works there), were extremely rude to us, and then asked for several hundred dollars more per month to reinstate our insurance. Progressive indicated to us that this is not typical behavior or acceptable, and suggested that we go directly to them instead of a reseller and has beaten their rate to help us out. Avoid this place. They aren't going to be that small business you hope for that will actually help you through tricky times, quote the opposite unfortunately. read more

I worked with Grant Pinto, and he called nonstop because I didn't immediately sign with them, which makes me feel uneasy about having given him my personal information!! There are other reviews that mention the same thing, as well as falsely charging people's card and receiving tons of spam emails after giving them your email. If there weren't to be other reviews that are good I would have felt that this was a fraudulent company! Either way I am sketched out and think they should be investigated!! I contacted the FTC and credit bureaus to protect my social because that's how unsure I am about them!! Dont give them your info IMO!! Go through another company! read more

I worked with them to get a non-owners insurance policy, and my request was handled by Nancy. She selected the wrong policy and my credit card got charged, which hasn't been refunded back even after multiple calls. Second time, she selected the wrong policy dates and blamed me for calling her multiple times for the mistake. That is also not yet corrected, even after I followed up multiple times with them. They are making me pay for their mistakes, which is absolutely horrible. I would not recommend On Guard to anyone! Edit - After multiple follow-ups, Juan, who was the manager, took up my case and the excess amount was refunded back to my card. That's why, I'm changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars.
