During this week I approached one of the producers in Crescenta Valley Insurance named Melina Ingerghoolian to buy an Auto policy and I am truly appreciative of her professional approach and sincere help. I highly recommend Crescenta Valley Insurance to anyone who is looking for a policy with Best coverage and best price in the Market. read more

Called them and spoke to someone to call me back for quotes on a home and 2 cars. Never heard back. I guess they don't need the business.

The company's agent Bill didn't inform me that I had an issue with my policy until I found out about it 8 months later. Maria who works with Bill doesn't even apologize for the mistake and just said "I have nothing to do with this" I'd personally avoid this company if I could because their staff takes no accountability when it comes to clients. read more

Insurance can be daunting. Drive a personal vehicle for business (e.g. uber, notary public, etc.)? You need different insurance. Leaving a home vacant for renovations? You need different insurance. There are so many pitfalls and so many hazards, it's easy to become paralyzed. Jim Sayre has helped me and several others successfully navigate these pitfalls and get the best coverage we can. And if the coverage you have is better than what's on offer, there's no pushing, no pressure, no problem. Crescenta Valley Insurance, and specifically Jim Sayre, should be your first insurance call. read more

Sadly I have to agree with recent posters that the customer service experience has tanked recently. Please go elsewhere if you want small town help (like this place used to be). read more

I have not had a good experience with this agency the past year. Horrible follow up, no call backs not sure what is happening but do no waste your time and go to them. You need to call them for 2 weeks to get an answer. It's horrible and a waste of time and energy. They used to be great, but it's gone downhill the past year. read more

What a disappointing and horrible experience I had with these guys. Was driving past their office when I noticed them. I call and the receptionist transfers me. The call immediately disconnects. No call back from them. I know they can see my # on their caller ID I call back and it's the same lady. I tell her I was disconnected. She again asks me what I wanted. How do you forget in less than 90 seconds why I'm calling? And even worse, no apology! I get to a male who is busy and seemed awfully perturbed that he had to take my call. I kindly explain what I'm calling for. Tell me no way to get a quote for at least 5 days, as he is working on fire related claims. While I respect the fact that they were busy with the fires, how do you NOT ask me for my number to call back? Buddy, I don't need to beg you to take my money. You obviously don't need the business, I guess. You are not doing me a favor by selling me a policy. Extremely disappointing! read more

This has got to be the worst insurance broker I have ever dealt with. Maria is horrible, doesn't return calls or emails for weeks. Things get forgotten, you have to constantly follow up. Horrible! Don't waste your time! read more

I've been with CV Insurance for somewhere around 20 years, and I've always been happy. However, in the past year or so, customer service has tanked. They say they'll call me back, and they don't. I call and email and don't get a response. The few times I have been able to get Bill on the phone, he promises to get back to me, and then I never hear from him again. From the other reviews I've read, I'm not the only one. Maria used to be great, too, but she doesn't respond anymore either. It's a shame because I don't want to move my business, but I have no choice. read more

This review is for Shawn White my new agent. OMG so quick so professional that I just switched from my old agent which I was not happy with to Cresenta Valley Insurance just because Shawn is very knowledgeable, professional and he really try to make customer happy. We're so happy and relieved that we switched to CVI. I highly recommend CVI guys because no one I mean no one could get me a quote with Travelers but Shawn did. Thank you so much CVI looking forward to long happy business relationship read more

CVI understands a customer's specific needs and tailors their efforts to a given situation. They are responsive, professional, and committed to customer satisfaction! Unlike other agencies, they care about your circumstances and will engage with the customer to find the ideal solution. Great people, highly recommend! read more

This is the second year I found out that my home insurance wasn't renewed from my bank! Jim was a great insurance agent 10 years ago, but has been MIA (not responding to my emails) for too long. read more

I don't normally leave negative reviews and I want this to be a reflection of my experience only. A few weeks back I submitted a request on their website and a few days later I received a voicemail from a gentleman named Bill. I made a few attempts to call him back but his VM was full so I called the office and was transferred to him . We discussed my needs(commercial) and I answered all the questions and was assured that I would get a call back that day if not the following day. Well, 4 days past and I received no response . I called in again and this time spoke to John. I explained to John that my experience was less than ideal and he explained that they have been very busy as of late and while that wasn't an excuse he would work to assist me after speaking with Bill. That was last week, it's not Wednesday of the following week and I haven't received a call from John or Bill. While I can understand that it's good to be busy it's the customers that keep you that way. If this is the pre sales experience it makes me wonder what the customer experience is looking like as of late . read more

Strange interaction - also disrespectful of prospective customers' time. Submitted a request online for a couple of quotes (2 properties, 2 cars and life insurance), Shawn White promptly reached out asking for addition documentation. I gathered everything and sent it back the same day, and never heard back after 2+ weeks. Sent him 2 emails following up, and never heard anything back. Not sure if my customer profile and demographic just didn't match what he was looking for? The reviews are great so I was very disappointed but also, the most recent review was 2+ years ago so maybe this place has gone downhill since or not interested in new clients (which is totally fine.. just respond back saying that instead of ghosting me). read more

I'm very perplexed by the decent ratings for Crescenta Valley Insurance. I have actually had them quote me out twice. My first time, everything was OK. They were prompt to respond, and quoted me for my homeowners, auto, and umbrella policy. Unfortunately the best price that they could offer me was with Mercury and it was almost twice the price that I was paying through another company. At that point, we decided to part ways, and I appreciated the quote that they gave me, but unfortunately the price wasn't even close. I then called back again a few months later as I was quoting out the Homeowners Association for my Condo. When I initially called the receptionist did not seem interested in my business. When I told her i was looking for a quote, the only thing she said was, "How did you hear of us?" I told her Yelp. She then transferred me to a voicemail. After leaving a message, I called back again telling her that I really would like to talk to someone to get a quote. She seemed annoyed, but finally found me someone. I then told the person what I wanted, and he said he would get right to work on it. However, after a week, I still didn't hear anything. I then followed up 4 more times, without any response. A courtesy of telling me that they are not interested in quoting out the insurance would be nice. I'm very confused by the lack of service and high prices that they bid. I hope that this review helps out CV insurance and that they are more responsive to their customers going forward. Since they are just an agency, I would think that customer service should be their main value. read more

The other negative reviews will confirm this sentiment. And keep in mind, this sort of company you are giving personal sensitive information. It's insurance, so financial, health, personal, auto info, banking info. It literally seems like you reach out and when they get to it ask for a whole bunch of information. And then you don't hear back. And you wait. You then reach out again and get all sorts of promises to get back to you. It literally seems like they are working remote and on a permanent bender and not even present in town. Like they're at the river or Vegas. That's the only comparison I can make. The most bizarre business I've ever tried to do anything with. read more

Shopping for insurance can be time consuming and a hassle. Not with CVI, and the help of Jim Sayre. From start to finish, communication and guidance was timely and professional. Thank you for helping me with my auto, renters and personal umbrella! If you are shopping around for insurance, do yourself a favor and contact Jim Sayre. read more

Updated review: The owner reached out and helped resolve the issue. Glad to see that the owner cares about the customers and the reputation of the business. -------------------------------------------- Original review: It's extremely difficult to get a hold of the agent who underwrote our polices. Not only the agent never answers the phone call, the agent never calls back after you leave a voice mail. When you call the office, the agent is either on another line or is not at the office. It's extremely frustrating when you have questions regarding your policies and the agent is never available. Also, the agent does not do what they promise (such as send you the documents, call you back at a certain time). Maybe it's just that particular agent who is not good. But I am extremely frustrated and considering taking my business elsewhere. read more

I went in to CV Insurance and spoke to the owner Rick Dinger about sponsorship of a local youth event at CV Skatepark. Rick had zero hesitation to help out our kids in the community. Life saver.... As i was about to leave i decided to get a Auto insurance quote from Shawn white. Turns out they beat AAA by $500. Scheduled a appointment the next week and we now have a new auto policy through CV insurance What a great group of people there. Thanks again Rick. Scott Wilson read more

I was in a real bind. My son received leave from military duty around the holidays. He decided to surprise us and come home. Since it was a surprise arrival I didn't add him back on to our auto insurance policy. I called CVI and they were closed due to the holiday. I remembered receiving an email from Rick Dinger and decided to try emailing him about my situation. Rick not only answered my email, he called me, then he went down to the office to add my son back onto our policy so he could drive during his visit! That is AWESOME customer service. Thanks Rick! The best insurance company this side of the Mississippi! I am satisfied with my auto and home coverage and I trust the team at CVI. Every time I have a question or need quick access to speaking with a real person and not an automated message, my agent is available or else has someone available to help me, since they know that quick responses matter to me. CV insurance provides above and beyond customer service. My account manager is Stella Chilingaryan. and she has been superior with my auto and home insurance. She emails or calls me everytime there is an issue with my policy. She goes above and beyond her duties and makes necessary phone calls to service my insurance needs. Prior years I've been serviced by AIS, All State and Farmers insurance, but they do not compare to CV insurance at all...with other insurance companies you are just a number, but with CV insurance you are not. Also, CV insurance plays an amazing role in our local community by been a sponsor to our local little league which is something that most companies do not do. I definitely recommend them. If you are researching companies....STOP now and call CV insurance. They do not compare to the rest. A++++ Service!! read more

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Jim Sayre on getting business insurance. He is very professional, honest and very friendly! Very hard to find these type of insurance experts these days. I really appreciated the time he took to go over the policy, my options and ALL of my questions. The hardest part about getting any insurance is knowing that the company keeps their brand promise (lets face it, many insurance companies don't follow though completely or have fine print that ultimately screws you when you really need it). Jim is always available and very knowledgeable. Definitely give him a call. This is the place where they take the burden out of finding you the right insurance for a great rate. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO CHECK OUT JIM AND HIS COLLEAGUES AT CVI. 10 STAR TEAM! read more

Why would you use a faceless insurance company when you can use CVI? Rick and Eric take you right in hand and make you feel like family, just like in those old time movies where people say "I'll call my insurance man". You actually DO have an insurance man, with their direct line programmed into your phone. When I moved out of state, Eric hooked me up with an agent that helped me out with my car and home owner needs. But, my California home owners and business policies are managed by CVI - I can't imagine ever going back to a 1-800-insurance company ever again. Good rates, better service, community involvement...CVI rocks. read more

Crescenta Valley Insurance exhibits outstanding customer service practices. I have had the opportunity to work with Eric Hamilton on several occasions as it relates to my family and business insurance requirements. Eric did his typical magic in selecting and initating the appropriate medical insurance for my son while attending law school on the east coast in a matter of five days - now that's service. He accomplished the same results for my husband for his supplemental insurance. His overwhelming magic trick was reducing my monthly medical insurance premium by approximately 50%. My family definitely tips their hats to Crescenta Valley Insurance - their knowledge, professionalism, and, most importantly, their customer service are beyond impressive and excellent. I would recommend them highly to anyone for family and/or business requirements. read more

I never believed you would get stellar customer service from an insurance agent. Experience has been true, with one exception - CVI. Just had an outstanding experience with Rick at CV Insurance. I live in the Foothills and have had to have 2 policys for homeowner's insurance. California Fairplan for fire and a separate policy for liability coverage. I have someone helping me with my books and she mistaking thought we had an impound acct for this property and didn't make the payment. The company immediately cancelled us, even though we have always paid on time and have had ZERO claims. They said they are not reissuing policies due to all of the recent the fires. I called 4 companies, suggested by people in the area on a local facebook page. Each one of them said they could not find a company to give us a policy for liability.. and each said they didn't know of any company issuing new policies for the area. In comes Rick Dinger. I have seen Rick in the community, in fact we both won CV's finest awards from CV Weekly last year! I had thought about asking him for a quote when I saw he was voted the finest and because of the good things I see him doing our community. Well life gets ahold of us end we end up just doing what needs to be done and we often end up leaving what's in place until we "have to" make a change.. haha Well with nothing in place I left him a message yesterday and he called back this morning with a better policy, enabling me to let go of the California Fair Plan, I now have better coverage than before for 1/2 the price!! Unbelievable to go through all that stress getting all those no's and then this guy come come's in like a hero..Yes I can get you covered with more coverage for 1/2 the price AND with a company that is very good when claims are submitted. Rick I can't thank you enough and I will be referring you to ALL of my clients and friends. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You! read more
