What a disappointing and horrible experience I had with these guys. Was driving past their office when I noticed them. I call and the receptionist transfers me. The call immediately disconnects. No call back from them. I know they can see my # on their caller ID I call back and it's the same lady. I tell her I was disconnected. She again asks me what I wanted. How do you forget in less than 90 seconds why I'm calling? And even worse, no apology! I get to a male who is busy and seemed awfully perturbed that he had to take my call. I kindly explain what I'm calling for. Tell me no way to get a quote for at least 5 days, as he is working on fire related claims. While I respect the fact that they were busy with the fires, how do you NOT ask me for my number to call back? Buddy, I don't need to beg you to take my money. I've been with CV Insurance for somewhere around 20 years, and I've always been happy. However, in the past year or so, customer service has tanked. They say they'll call me back, and they don't. I call and email and don't get a response. The few times I have been able to get Bill on the phone, he promises to get back to me, and then I never hear from him again. I don't normally leave negative reviews and I want this to be a reflection of my experience only. A few weeks back I submitted a request on their website and a few days later I received a voicemail from a gentleman named Bill. I made a few attempts to call him back but his VM was full so I called the office and was transferred to him . We discussed my needs(commercial) and I answered all the questions and was assured that I would get a call back that day if not the following day. Well, 4 days past and I received no response . I called in again and this time spoke to John. I explained to John that my experience was less than ideal and he explained that they have been very busy as of late and while that wasn't an excuse he would work to assist me after speaking with Bill. That was last week, it's not Wednesday of the following week and I haven't received a call from John or Bill. While I can understand that it's good to be busy it's the customers that keep you that way. If this is the pre sales experience it makes me wonder what the customer experience is looking like as of late . read more

I gathered everything and sent it back the same day, and never heard back after 2+ weeks. Sent him 2 emails following up, and never heard anything back. I'm very perplexed by the decent ratings for Crescenta Valley Insurance. I have actually had them quote me out twice. My first time, everything was OK. They were prompt to respond, and quoted me for my homeowners, auto, and umbrella policy. Unfortunately the best price that they could offer me was with Mercury and it was almost twice the price that I was paying through another company. At that point, we decided to part ways, and I appreciated the quote that they gave me, but unfortunately the price wasn't even close. I then called back again a few months later as I was quoting out the Homeowners Association for my Condo. When I initially called the receptionist did not seem interested in my business. When I told her i was looking for a quote, the only thing she said was, "How did you hear of us?" I told her Yelp. She then transferred me to a voicemail. After leaving a message, I called back again telling her that I really would like to talk to someone to get a quote. She seemed annoyed, but finally found me someone. I then told the person what I wanted, and he said he would get right to work on it. However, after a week, I still didn't hear anything. I then followed up 4 more times, without any response. A courtesy of telling me that they are not interested in quoting out the insurance would be nice. I'm very confused by the lack of service and high prices that they bid. I hope that this review helps out CV insurance and that they are more responsive to their customers going forward. It's insurance, so financial, health, personal, auto info, banking info. It literally seems like you reach out and when they get to it ask for a whole bunch of information. And then you don't hear back. And you wait. You then reach out again and get all sorts of promises to get back to you. It literally seems like they are working remote and on a permanent bender and not even present in town. Like they're at the river or Vegas. That's the only comparison I can make. I was in a real bind. My son received leave from military duty around the holidays. He decided to surprise us and come home. She emails or calls me everytime there is an issue with my policy. She goes above and beyond her duties and makes necessary phone calls to service my insurance needs. Prior years I've been serviced by AIS, All State and Farmers insurance, but they do not compare to CV insurance at all...with other insurance companies you are just a number, but with CV insurance you are not. Just had an outstanding experience with Rick at CV Insurance. I live in the Foothills and have had to have 2 policys for homeowner's insurance. California Fairplan for fire and a separate policy for liability coverage. I have someone helping me with my books and she mistaking thought we had an impound acct for this property and didn't make the payment. The company immediately cancelled us, even though we have always paid on time and have had ZERO claims. They said they are not reissuing policies due to all of the recent the fires. I called 4 companies, suggested by people in the area on a local facebook page. Each one of them said they could not find a company to give us a policy for liability.. and each said they didn't know of any company issuing new policies for the area. In comes Rick Dinger. I have seen Rick in the community, in fact we both won CV's finest awards from CV Weekly last year! I had thought about asking him for a quote when I saw he was voted the finest and because of the good things I see him doing our community. Well life gets ahold of us end we end up just doing what needs to be done and we often end up leaving what's in place until we "have to" make a change.. haha Well with nothing in place I left him a message yesterday and he called back this morning with a better policy, enabling me to let go of the California Fair Plan, I now have better coverage than before for 1/2 the price!!
