They sent a "Spin Master". Saw some loose tiles on a seven-year-old home. Maybe blow loose by a microburst. The Estimator-Inspector-Salesman they sent proceeded to tell my I probably needed a new roof. His problem is I already had a no charge inspection from another company. Which DID NOT tell me I required a new roof, just replacing a few broken tiles, reattaching some tiles and patching a couple of areas where that could be a possible leak in the future. read more

I can't begin to express how disappointing my experience with A1 Roofing was. I initially chose them based on a friend's recommendation, but that was a mistake. It started off with a free estimate that quickly turned into a pushy sales pitch--felt like I was buying a used car rather than simply getting an estimate! Despite that, I decided to move forward, hoping for a smooth process. Boy, was I wrong. The project manager was consistently dishonest throughout the entire process. They promised quick follow-ups and a start date in October, but we didn't even get started until the third week of November. Every time I reached out, I was told it would be "just a few more days." After weeks of waiting, I began to lose trust. Once the project was finally "completed," the issues didn't end there. The project manager claimed the entire list of unfinished items had been addressed, but when I went up to check myself, I found five things still not completed. The last part of the project was the installation of a rain gutter, which turned into a long waiting game. I was told for weeks that it was still being fabricated, only to later learn that the crew responsible for installing it was backed up. After weeks of waiting, I just asked them to forget the gutter and send me a final "paid in full" invoice. I had to ask a dozen times, but never received the "paid in full" invoice. Meanwhile, their accounting department was quick to send me invoices at every stage of the project, but when it came time to resolve issues, no one seemed to care or take responsibility. I even tried contacting other people in the company for help--no luck there either. Management is unresponsive, and even the salesperson couldn't get his boss to respond. I will give credit where it's due--the crew that did the actual work were hardworking and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The project manager's dishonesty and the lack of communication and accountability from the company made this a frustrating and exhausting experience. Based on my experience and the C+ BBB rating, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. read more

I really don't like giving businesses a 1 star, however my parents recently got their roofing done from here and what a pain it was. From the initial start we already did not have a good start. When my parents decided to move forward with them they requested that 10% of the cost would be paid. My parents paid and they were told that they would come out the following week to start. However no one came or contacted them. It took us three two weeks to get a hold of them and for someone to return our calls. We got kind of nervous because we thought they just took the money and wasn't going to show. After a month from the initial start, they finally came and fixed our roof . Before moving forward with the roofing repair A1 roofing company had discussed the price obviously and was told that they would get a certain amount discounted and the check would be mailed two weeks after everything was done. My parents have the email invoice stating that they would mail the check to my parents however it's been two months now and nothing! You can't leave any messages on their line because the voicemail is full. They won't respond to any emails and it's been a nightmare. It seems as if the company doesn't have money to start until they have another job lined up to fund the job prior. All I want is for the company to honor what they told my parents and not take of advantage of people. How are you supposed to conduct a business where no one returns your calls or messages? It's extremely frustrating as a paying customer and very disappointing. Getting your roof repaired is not cheap and a big expense that families trust you to do. read more

Nine contractors bid on my roof replacement for a 1750 sq ft house. The A1 Roofing Solutions representative, Aiden, listened to my needs and provided me the best competitive price. The proposal included quality Malarkey shingles, synthetic underlayment, new whirlybirds, industry-standard warranties, and free inspections every two years. I was able to "try out" shingle colors for my roof using an online program. Without seeking a restraining order, Aiden patiently answered the many detailed questions I emailed his way, then worked with me on budget concerns and a desired payment plan. A1 is a fairly new company so I did my due diligence in verifying they were Malarkey-certified, a registered contractor (ROC), and in good standing with the BBB. They had both positive online reviews and some televised community events. On the start day, Project Manager Aiden was onsite and the three-man crew led by Carlos were punctual and methodically replaced the roof underlayment, shingles, some rotted fascia and plywood. They removed and retained the existing metal wraparound and gutter too. Workers cleaned up the yard daily. I value quality over quickness so preferred this crew's three-day project timetable over a job done by groups of guys in just hours. The initial project startup slipped several weeks and the front office too often lacked timely or responsive communication. Patience and persistence were, frustratingly, required at times. Thus, room to improve. Still, I appreciate the labor of the roofing team and also the Ops Director, Eliseo, who addressed a follow-up fix. Ultimately, I was satisfied with the affordable price, value, and quality A1 offered. read more

Called set up an appointment they came looked around, very friendly, then made several claims about what they would do and so far have done nothing at all about those claims. They claimed that while they were getting all things lined up with the insurance they would (if rain was predicted) come out and cover the area of the roof that was damaged to prevent further water damage. Has not happened. They claimed they would call within a week, has not happened. So if you want a visitor that will make all sorts of empty promises and then abandon you. These are your people to call. If you wanna be treated like a drunkin' one night stand these are your people. But if you want a loving and long term mutually beneficial relationship, one where both parties are satisfied and pleased, then you need to look elsewhere. read more

I called A-1 roofing to repair my roof in early 2021. They came out and gave me quotes for fixing, but recommended we go through the insurance for a roof replacement. We had to go through an adjuster, which took several months but eventually I had a nice new roof at no cost to me. I was told the same thing by 2 other roofing companies, who did not follow up with me after. I worked with Kevin to get my roof redone. He was great through out the process, communicative, positive and friendly. I would definitely use them again for my roofing needs! read more

Jose gave me a fair quote same day on my patio roof and was able to start the job next day! He and his team finished the work repairing my patio and replacing broken tiles on my main roof within 2 days of calling him (this was a holiday weekend mind you)! Hey arrived each day on time as promised. I was truly impressed by his professionalism and prompt communication. I needed to get this job done to satisfy an inspection report while selling my home. Jose even took the time to explain the job to my realtor, so she could better explain it to our buyers. One of the recent storms to blow through the valley did some damage to our roof. My husband made calls to several roofing companies, and Jose was the first to call back. He was able to come out the next day, assessed the situation, and quickly provided a reasonable estimate for the work. My husband was going to be away from the house, but scheduled the work for the next Monday at 7 am. Jose showed up when he said he would, fixed the roof, and sent along pictures to my husband showing the fixes. We are in the process of selling our house and the buyer's wanted cracked tiles replaced on the roof. I sent out a yelp blast to the 10 highest rated roofers. After conversing with the few that did respond, A1 won our business from his prompt responses, great pricing, and availability. Jose and his crew showed up, went to work, had the 35 tiles replaced and even did a last minute job on our porch roof and all done within a couple hours. He gave me pictures of the work afterwards we could forward onto the buyers and overall super happy with the work and experience with A1. After getting a new A.C. unit on our house, we needed the old A.C. curb torn out and that section of roof redone. I contacted multiple roofers for quotes. Jose from A-1 Roofing stopped by the same day, did his inspection and provided a very reasonable bid. The day of the job, he and his crew showed up exactly on time and got straight to work. They completed in less time than estimated. The repair job is seamless. Unless you knew, you'd never be able to see. After the job they cleaned up everything quite thoroughly. Excellent service all round from Jose and team! Came through when we needed last minute job that was identified on inspection report for the sale of our home. Jose holds the utmost professionalism, has amazing communication and responsiveness, and does quality work - but is most of all HONEST. We received lower quotes from other companies, but A1 was by far the most professional company we interacted with.
