Detailed results of the inspection with optional pricing was received the same day as the inspection via email. Together, their presentation and pricing convinced me to select this company over two other bids from well-reviewed companies. My very positive impressions carried forward throughout the process to replace shingles on my house, an 8' x 10' custom shed, and the bonus - a large, custom doghouse. Their four-man crew worked quickly, confidently and congenially. We just did our complete roof replacement at our primary residence in Ahwatukee phoenix area. Both brother John and Mike are very courteous, friendly and sincere. They do not try to over sell anything to me like most other roofing company i previously tried to get quotes from. A standard double layer of G40 underlayment's option is what was proposed and they told me should will last for a while. My house which is originally a 1993 built and was still with the original roof of single layer underlayment, that lasted pretty good without any leak or anything for more that 30 years in this Phoenix heat so i was also not planning on putting anything beyond standard materials and i think no one should requiring anything more than that these days even big roofing company will try to sell you various additional upgrade materials like gold diamond platinum etc. to force you to pay more John was also was able to put me into schedule immediately after initial visit which is also a big difference from the so called big roofing companies who claims they have waiting on 2 to 3 months! The crews were fantastic and did a great job. The whole replacement work took exactly 3 days as promised and the crews worked pretty much all 3 days from 7AM to almost 6PM. There were few misc. items remaining that Mike with a small team took care of on day 4 morning which was also a weekend but it was done in time and without any anxiety. The house perimeter area was cleaned everyday after work by the crew. The entire roof underlayment replacement and other upgrades and details were also done beautifully without any surprise. Both brothers were immensely nice, quick and responsive in answering my texts during the time the crew worked on the roof which was very relaxing and also a nice experience for me as a home owner. I previously had to chase some of the general contractors when they worked on other renovations of the house and and most cases the response time from them was random or late or never. I will not discuss any details on exact cost etc. here for obvious reason as each job and situations are different but i can assure HBC's pricing of the roof replacement was very aggressively competitive and most likely is the best you can possibly get in Phoenix for similar jobs. Overall i am very happy with entire process from start to finish and specially the speed and details they were done in time and final cost or the replacement. They have shoddy workmanship, billing practices, contractual obligations, and poor customer support - AND PERFORMED UNLICENSED WORK! On April 9, 2024, I contracted Arizona Roofing Systems Inc. (ARS) for a new roof and walkout deck repair for $25,500. //DECK// Mr. Smith (ARS owner) holds only a CR42 license from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (ROC) https://roc.az.gov which is a basic roofer's license that limits him to tasks like laying plywood and applying coatings. He is not licensed to perform, evaluate, or repair structural framing. He is not licensed to perform stucco repair. Upon learning of this, I halted the work on the deck. However, Mr. Smith's team installed "sister joists" on the framing which was in violation of his licensing. A licensed professional evaluated his work, and of no surprise, found it to be installed incorrectly compromising the structural integrity of the deck. His team also "repaired" the stucco they damaged which is also in violation of his license. A stucco professional said it must be completely redone. The decking 'weep screed' was missing and the coating misapplied, the only items they are licensed to do has to be ripped out and redone. Additionally, his team put their foot through the deck, twice, and which resulted in two large holes in the patio ceiling. I was not informed of this, and they tried to repair those holes, which they are unlicensed to do, and they must be redone by a professional. //ROOF// Poor workmanship resulted in having the roof repaired, and much of the work redone. The shoddy work is too extensive to list here but can be found in the attached summary and timeline. It includes incorrectly applied mortar, tile gaps, vent screens not replaced, roof jacks, sloppy point, missing underlayment, etc. While a release has been signed, this has been reported to the ROC and hope others do not go through this. SEE THE PICTURES OF THEIR WORK. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! DO NOT HIRE ARIZONA ROOFING SYSTEMS!

I called and talked to Charlie he was out the next day and inspected the roof with a drone to play it safe. He also checked things out from the ground. He found some areas of concern in addition. He got me a quote within a day which included a complete roof including back porch. The quote was so good we said yez the same day. Besides the entire remove and replacing all the shingles they also replaced some wood on the back porch that was rotted including one post and some of the eaves. They less than a week later and ended up coming a day early and finished the day before a monsoon. I have gotten several positive comments from neighbors. The AC guys were able to come out and not slip! One great part was that even though some of the workers didnt speak great English, there we'd always a lead that was bilingual. Very nice to work with. Highly recommend.
